Problem installing oc4j Preview (version 25.3.2002)

I placed the \j2ee\home in the /app/oracle/product/ias/1.0.2/ and installed j2sdk1_3_1_03. When I try to run
java -jar oc4j.jar -install
the following error occures:

Manfred -- Please try and unzip the file into a new directory, don't just copy it. In the preview version ,files are created not
only in the j2ee home but from what becomes the ORACLE_HOME own down (2 up from j2ee.) If you unzip the
oc4j_extended.zip into a new directory I am confident it will work.

Sylonious, did you manage to sort this problem out? I have been experiencing similar problems. I think my problem was because I had many different versions of JDKs. I have done a complete re-install. I would be really grateful to you (and anyone else) for help with this problem.
I have re-installed JSDK1.4.2_03, set the "path" variable to "C:\JSDK1.4.2_03".
When I compile using "javac" I get an error saying "javac" is not recognised.
When I compile using "C:\j2sdk1.4.2_03\bin\javac Freq.java" no error is thrown.
Every time I try to run a java file, I always get the NoClassDefFound error. When run with the -verbose option, files are loaded from C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_03\bin - is this correct?
I have removed all previous references to java in the registry editor.

Problems Installing the new version 7 of itunes

I upgraded itunes to the new version 7.0 and when I try to load itunes I get a message "Quick time version 7.1 is installed Itunes requires version 7.1.3 or later version be installed. In the Itunes version 7 you automatic load the new quick time version 7.1.3 with the package. During loading Itunes version 7 I get a message add new missing files or repair damaged files. I select yes, the second choice is to uninstall Itunes. No luck still got the same message above. I tried uninstalling Itunes to see if there was a problem with the oirginal install, still recevied the repair files or add missing files message while downloading. Have also tried installing quick time version 7.1.3 sperately. Nothing seems to work. Any suggestions???
Seems to be this upgrade... I can start quick time and I get the error message when I try and load Itunes?? Can anyone help out??

I was able to fix my problem by going into add and delete programs. Select itunes and there will be an area "click here for support infomation" Check and run repair. Do this for both Itunes and Quick Time, but do Quick time first. After I did that itunes came right up and started to run. Good Luck!!

"the older version of nokia connectivity cable driver cannot be removed. please contact your technical support group"
when i ask info to pcsuite program i recive this info:

You perhaps need to go to microsoft.com and download Windows Installer Cleanip Utility "msicuu2.exe"
Go to Start > Programs > Windows Installer Cleanup Utility
When you run this it looks a bit like the add/remove program window. Now select "Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver" and "PC Connectivity Solution" programs.
Now go back to Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel and try and remove "Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver" and the "PC Connectivity Solution" programs. They should now uninstall.
Reboot your PC

Problems installing add-on, version 8.82

I upgraded SAP to version 8.82, and now error occurs in the installation of add-on.
If I run the add-on for Visual Studio, it works, but if I run the add-on installation, the installation wizard runs normal, but in the end an error pops up in SAP, saying that an error occurred in the installation or the user canceled the installation.
In the 2007 version works without problems.
Everything has been updated for the SAP to version 8.82 (Client Server, Tools, SDK, etc.), and created the installation of add-on using B1DE "VB B1 AddOnInstaller Setup. NET," and I'm using Windows 7.
Does anyone know what happens?

I did more tests, and the windows 2003, the add-on installed and runs without error. Only in Windows 7 error occurs.
Someone went through this problem, you know what can be?

Problems installing newer iTunes version

So, today I went to future shop and purchased a beautiful new ipod touch. I came home and plugged it into my computer and it beeped a couple times and a screen showing the end of the USB cord and the iTunes icon logo thing showed up. Having no idea what it meant, I wandered around the apple site trying to find answers. I've decided I don't have the proper version of iTunes, but everytime i try to download a new version, Internet Explorer just closes on me. I know this must be a problem with my computer, but I was just wondering if maybe there was a way around this? Perhaps there is a way to download iTunes 7.6 without using the internet? HELP ME PLEASE!

No go =[ IE just terminates the download of the update so I'm a bit wary of uninstalling it to try and reinstall it... Actually, I'm not really sure how that would work. A bit off topic, but how would one browse the internet to reinstall IE if IE wasn't installed onto one's computer? =S I'm so hopeless.

I logged into my itunes a few days ago and clicked yes to upgrade to the latest verion. Ever since then, itunes will not open, I get a message saying 'itunes has encountered a problem and needs to close'
I have searched through the support site and tried every single thing it has suggested and I still have the same problem.
I have uninstalled then reinstalled itunes and quicktime, I have done a system restore, I have tried all the suggestions.
One thing I did notice when I last reinstalled itunes, when I clicked on it, it said that quicktme was not installed, so I installed it and it won't open either. There is no error message, there is nothing, it just won't open up.
Can someone please help!

focussing on the QuickTime situation at the moment. (the issue with the QuickTime is probably causing the itunes issues.) these are some preliminary questions aimed at focussing in on possible culprits.
try heading into your Control Panel and launching your QuickTime control panel. does it launch, or do you get an error message? if you get an error message, what's the precise text of the error message?
try uninstalling QuickTime again. does it uninstall successfully? if not, do you get an error message on the uninstall? if so, what does it say?

Hi Axel,
As you already mentioned, the NW04s ABAP system is installed on the same
host. It could be that the ABAP system is running with a wrong user.
You could try stopping the ABAP system and also the corresponding service
SAP<sid>_<instance number> in Start -> run -> "services.msc".
Please retry the Java installation after the above mentioned. The ABAP system can be restarted after the
Java system installation is done. Hope it helps.

CE 7.1 Preview - Version: Error when starting Netweaver Administrator

I have installed the preview version of CE 7.1 without errors and I have followed the installation manual (loopback device installed, english version of WinXP installed etc.). The starting page (http://localhost:50000) is displayd properly. Whenever I try to start the administrator-page (http://localhost:50000/nwa) I receive the following error:

Can't install Print Shop Version 2

I'm having problems installing Print Shop Version 2 for Mac. I am getting the errer message,
"There is not enough free space on Macintosh HD disk. The PS2 application requires about 1150 MB to be installed. Free some disk space and try again."
According to my HD, I have used 181 GB and still have 319 GB free. Can anyone assist? Thanks.

I found a solution courtesy of Mackiev, who did reply:
The fact is, the very first PowerPC-based discs of The Print Shop 2 cannot work on OS X Mavericks because the "Rosetta" mode that is required for their installer to run is no longer supported there. However, I'm happy to tell you that we have released a special updater for old PowerPC discs, which can be used together with those discs you have to install The Print Shop 2 on Macs with Mavericks. Please follow this direct link to download the updater:

It's about 610 MB, so you'll need a good Internet connection.
Once the installer has fully downloaded, insert The Print Shop 2 Install CD in your Mac's CD drive and double-click the downloaded file if it doesn't open automatically. Then double-click The Print Shop 2 Updater icon and follow the onscreen instructions.
I followed these instructions and it installed just fine. The disc doesn't do anything, but is apparently necessary for the installation even though it's not recognised by Mavericks.

Problem installing iTuens 7.01

Not to jump on the iTunes v7.0 (7.01) bandwagon, however I'm having major problems installing the upgraded version on my PC. The program doesn't let me get to the install feature. It stalls and then shuts down. I can a very brief pop-up that goes away and shuts-down the site. I still have iTunes v6._ on my PC and it's worked great so far. From what I've heard on this site, maybe I should leave well enough alone. The only bad thing is that you can't buy & download any NEW music with this older version. Any advice?

perhaps let's try cutting the Gordian knot with this one. if it's not letting you download the installer at all, try this.
download and save a copy of the installer file to a different PC. burn a copy of the installer to a CD-R (or copy it to an external hard drive), carry it back to your PC, and copy the installer file to your Desktop. (don't run the install from the copy on the CD or on the ExHD.)

I believe that I had to install the jre in order to get the installation to run, but this was when I was installing the SP4 version. Maybe you do need to do it, but I am confused as to why it is not in the instructions. Anyway, lets go that route and see what happens.
Download and install the jdk, this will also have the jre(java runtime envirnoment.
J2SE SDK version 1.4.2_08 or 1.4.2_09 (Sun JDK 1.5 not tested). You can download this from Sun Microsystems at http://java.sun.com/products/archive/j2se/1.4.2_09/index.html. Please note that version 1.4.2_10 may cause installation problems.
Once installed, we need to create a envirnoment variable.
Right-click on My computer, properties, click advanced, enviornment varibles, under "System Variables", click new, name the variable as SAPINST_JRE_HOME, make the value as C:\j2sdk1.4.2_09\jre
The path above will be the directory that the jdk is installed to, so check the file path.
In my case, i have jdk 1.4.2_09, if you use 08, then you need to make that adjustment.
Next, reboot, and try the installation again.
