Problem installing Speech Analysis Module

I have CS6 and trial of CC which I'm evaluating now. When I installed the French speech module it defaulted to CS6. Is there some way to direct it to install in CC? The same module is specified for both versions.
Thanks

Jim
I found a solution on another post that suggested copying the files to 4.0 common link and it worked. I wish they hadn't dropped a couple of features from CS4 but it's still a great idea.

  • Installing speech analysis in Premiere Pro

    What are the specific steps in installing speech analysis (premiere_cs5_speechanalysis_mac_ie) in Premiere Pro  after I download it?

    Hi Vinay Dwivedi,
    I Download and install the speech analysis, but it seems to be installed in the CS6 folder, I'm running CC, and just keep Encore CS6 to have DVD Authoring.
    I don't know how I can say to Premiere CC where is the file for speech analysis.
    Thanx for your help

  • How do I install Speech Analysis Models for PPro CC?

    I downloaded the International English speech analysis model from here:
    http://www.adobe.com/uk/products/premiere/extend.displayTab3.html
    Which says they're for CC as well as CS6.
    But when I install it, I don't get the option in CC to analyze clips using anything but US English.
    The models are installed here:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\SpeechAnalysisModels\CS6 so I tried creating a CC model, copying the CS6 content across, and restarting Premiere. No joy. What else can I try?
    Cheers
    Mark

    To clarify, you created a new "CC" folder inside C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\SpeechAnalysisModels\ and put the files there?
    Exactly that. Also tried naming the folder CS7 and CS7.0

    If that doesn't work, perhaps try putting them in the 64-bit Program Files folder, like the following:
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\SpeechAnalysisModels\CC\
    There is no SpeechAnalysisModels folder inside the 64-bit Program Files folder.
    But I tried your suggestion, and tried the different names for the folders as above.
    No success.
    Thanks for your suggestions, though.

  • Problem installing with merge module

    I use CR Developer, Product Type Full, version 11.5.8.826.
    I use it to design RPT files that use XML and XSD files as data sources.
    I deploy these RPT files to client machines that also run a web enabled app I developed using ASP.NET v.2
    I built an installer with the CrystalReports11_5_NET_2005.msm merge module.
    However, when I install on a clean client machine with the MSI I created I get some weird database access error in the Crystal Reportviewer that's embedded in my ASP.NET webpage.
    When I then install the entire CR Developer product on the client machine everything works fine.
    So clearly, the merge module I use does not install and register all the files required to make my product work. Am I using the wrong merge module? Should I be using the four RDC merge modules?
    It's clearly not acceptable to have install the entire CR Developer app. Also, I saw another thread where they were talking about copying the entire C:\Program Files\Business Objects\common\3.5\bin directory to the client machine. That cannot be an acceptable solution either, right?
    I need a definitive answer how to deploy the correct runtime environment to make my RPT files correctly run using the Report viewer in my web pages.
    To be clear, I do NOT use VS.NET 2005 to develop my RPT files. I do not use anything built into Visual Studio to build my RPT files. The only interaction with .NET is that I have a Reportviewer object embedded in one ASP.NET web page that visualizes the RPT files I previously created using the CR Developer app.
    This is from my web.config file:
    <add assembly="CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine, Version=11.5.3700.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692FBEA5521E1304"/>
    <add assembly="CrystalDecisions.ReportSource, Version=11.5.3700.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304"/>
    <add assembly="CrystalDecisions.Shared, Version=11.5.3700.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304"/>
    <add assembly="CrystalDecisions.Web, Version=11.5.3700.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304"/>
    This is the aspx from the web page that shows the report viewer:
    <%@ Page Language="C#" MasterPageFile="~/MasterPage.master" AutoEventWireup="true"
        CodeFile="ReportPage.aspx.cs" Inherits="Paladin_CReports.ReportPage" Title="Paladin Reports - Crystal Reports - Report" %>
    <%@ Register Assembly="CrystalDecisions.Web, Version=11.5.3700.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304"
        Namespace="CrystalDecisions.Web" TagPrefix="CR" %>
    <asp:Content ID="Content1" ContentPlaceHolderID="ContentPlaceHolder1" runat="Server">
        <asp:Panel ID="Panel1" runat="server" Height="28px" Style="z-index: 100; left: 0px;

            <CR:CrystalReportViewer ID="CrystalReportViewer1" runat="server" AutoDataBind="true"
                DisplayGroupTree="False"

                HasViewList="False" ShowAllPageIds="True" HasRefreshButton="True" />
        </asp:Panel>
    </asp:Content>
    I need a definitive answer how to deploy the correct runtime environment to make my RPT files correctly run using the Report viewer in my web pages.

    Hi,
    Give a try to five read permissions to IIS_WPG for the temp folder which is under your account(In case of web application) and in case of windows app give read permission to a user for c:\windows\temp and to the folder which contains crystal reports.
    Need more info?
    What meerge module you have downloaded?
    Right merge modules are [here|http://resources.businessobjects.com/support/additional_downloads/runtime.asp#06]
    Note if appliaction uses RDC only then you need to install RDC merge modules.
    Windows or web application?
    Are you changing the XML schema?
    Hope this help!!

    There is a bug upstream according to CPAN's bugtracker.  Someone provided a fix there to regenerate the buggy file that is causing the test to fail.  Here is a source package file I made.  You can build it to apply their fix and make the package.

  • Speech analysis not working in CC on OSX

    I'm having a problem with speech analysis in PPro CC on OSX 10.8.4. When I select "analyse content" from within Ppro:
    Firstly, even though I've downloaded the international english pack, all of the other options apart from US english are greyed out.
    Secondly, and more importantly (as the people I'm currently trying to transcribe are from the US), hitting OK opens Media Encoder but nothing appears to happen -- there's no job active in Media Encoder and looking at the activity monitor, there's nothing happening behind the scenes either.
    Any suggestions?
    Best,
    Keith

    Hi Keith,
    Thanks for posting the questions. The speech analysis model has a problem in Premiere pro CC, inspite of installing the language packs all other options, except English, are greyed out. The problem has been reported and unfortunately there is no work-around available for it.
    For you second query, please mention the work flow that you are trying to follow because as I can understand you are launching media encoder and not addng any files in the Queue for transcoding. If you want to check it you can open any project in Premiere Pro CC and then queue the sequence in export window which will in turn launch media encoder CC and you will notice the transcoding in the queue window.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Vinay

  • Spanish speech analysis not appearing in the language list

    I downloaded and installled the spanish speech analysis module for CS 6 and CC. I have both CS 6 and CC installed on my machine. I installed the spanish module. Then in prelude, the spanish option doesn't appear in the language list. I only have english. What am I missing?

    Hi didierphmartin,
    Happy to hear you're into using Prelude. Here is a tip that might help.
    After install the spanish speech analysis module you will find the language pack accordingly at following path:
    Win: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\SpeechAnalysisModels\CS6\es_MX
    Mac: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/SpeechAnalysisModels/CS6/es_MX
    You may find that there is a folder named '4.0' is at the same level as 'CS6'. To make the spanish speech analysis module function you need to copy the language pack from folder 'CS6' to folder '4.0'.
    Thank your for posting this issue. We have been working on it.
    Regards,
    Lin

  • How do I install speech CS5

    How do I install Speech in Premiere Pro CS5. I have downloaded International English, and Spanish. But when I am going to select Analyze in the "meta data" panel, the dialogue box "Analyze content" that comes up does not show any "reference script" when clicking on it. It shows "none, add, remove". When I am selecting add for me to open up a "adobe story script" with the extension " *.astx, *.txt". There are no script available.
    The folders are there, but not any *.astx of *.txt file.
    I wish there was an video tutorial on HOW TO INSTALL speech analysis with additional languages. But it does not even work for me in English language.

  • Problem installing DSC 8.2.1 module

    I am trying to install the DSC module for 8.2.1 on my home PC.  I had no problems installing it on my development PC at work overtop of 8.2.  But on my home PC I get the following dialog (in the .png file) after the machine spends a long time (~5 minutes) in its "wait for the installer to initialize" phase.  If I click on the details button, I get additional information as shown in the .txt file.
    I went back and uninstalled DSC module for 8.2 and tried again, but get the same results.
    Any ideas?

    Hi Centerbolt,
    I discovered the problem.
    First, disabling the firewall and antvirus did not help.
    Second, I looked for DSC module on NI's website but could only find 8.2 and not 8.2.1 to download.
    Third, I looked to copy over the CD to my harddrive.  I opened the directory and saw the Products folder, I decided to look in there.  It seemed very slow to browse.  Finally, I saw the Portable_Configuration folder in there, it took a very long time to try to open, then came up with an error that it was not accessible or else something about "incorrect function".  Some other directories would open, but were slow to do so.  So now I know why the initialization took so long and ultimately failed, Windows had a hard time accessing the folders.  Also, through all of this, the CD drive did not sound like it was spinning up properly.
    I moved the CD over to my other drive to try it there in case the problem was with my drive.  I had no problems installing the software from there.  Browsing the folders was reasonably quick.  After installing, I moved it back to the first drive and made sure all smudges were wiped off.  I still had problems.
    For whatever reason, that CD had a problem that my primary CD drive was sensitive to.  I've never had problems with other CD's in that drive, or that particular CD in other drives.  What is interesting, looking at the back of the CD, there is a difference in color between the inside and outside that looks kind of like a burned CD-R or CD-RW disc would except in silver rather than blue, and except that be circular, this pattern has kind of a oblong lobe and is oddly shaped.
    Anyway, my problem is solved.  I think I have a marginal CD that did not work very well in that one drive, but wasn't a problem in a couple other drives.
    Thanks for your help.  It put me down a path that got me the answer.

    I think I was too naive in how I used perl on my new Mac (which I love) and I think I screwed up somewhere along the line.
    What do you mean by naive? It's just like Linux, only different. You can always ask questions here about how to approach something in a Mac-friendly rather than Linux way. You are sure to get lots of advice, some of it good.
    I installed some CPAN modules using Porticus, and other modules from the command line using cpan. I now understand this was wrong. I now find myself in the position where the default perl is /opt/local/bin/perl, which is version 5.8.9.
    Just so everyone is clear, I'll quote the Porticus web site "Porticus is a Cocoa GUI for the MacPorts package manager". I get hassled around here when I bash MacPorts.
    How can I get back to a default perl 5.10 where I can install all the CPAN modules I need. I hesitate to use Porticus to remove perl5.8 and p5-* , because I think some of the other software I installed depends on them.
    I think your best bet would be to uninstall MacPorts. Those instructions don't seem complete. I think you might have some PATH and/or environment variable to clean up as well. If you want to reinstall MacPorts afterwards, it would probably run better without having had the OS upgraded underneath it. Regardless of how you feel about MacPorts, CPAN is, itself, a package manager. I don't see how adding another package manager and another version of Perl helps anyone.

  • Can't install new speech analysis models

    Windows 7 - Premiere CC
    I want to add the extension for more speech models than only the US English standard.
    But the Exchange panel requests "update" all the time. When you  click and confirm that you want to installt a newer version, it says that the extension Manager is required and if I want to launch it. clicking "Yes"  generateds a nverending "in process" animation.
    Alternatively I can choose "Launch Extension Manager" from the top menu button. This works. It obpens the Extension Manager, but ... what to do here? The Premiere section is empty.
    I downloaded two speech models from the Adobe site and installed them on my harddisk. If I try to open these with the extension manager - won't work. :-(
    What am I doing wrong? Can someone give me a hint?

  • Option for Spanish Speech Analysis greyed out

    I'm trying to use the analyze speech feature in Premiere CC. I've some spanish interviews that I want to have Premiere transcribe, as I've heard it works pretty damn well. I've downloaded the Spanish language module and have it installed. It is the Latin American Spanish module for Mac OS, Premiere CC/CS6 version (I am running OSX 10.9.2). However, when I go into my project file and select a clip and right click>Analyze Content>Speech Analysis, the Speech Analysis dialogue box comes up, but with all options save English greyed (grayed) out, and have been unable to figure out why. Would much appreciate any help you might be able to lend with this.

    Ok, after speaking to an editor friend in Argentina, I finally figured it out. It's not at all obvious, and you have to ignore where Adobe initially directs you – you don't install using the .dmg at all! You have to install direct from Premiere using Adobe Exchange. For anyone having a similar problem, check out this article here: Install additional speech libraries

  • Speech Analysis Model-Spanish

    Even after I download the Spanish Speech Analysis Model, the Spanish language is still greyed out when I try to "analyze content" on my clip. How can I download it so that the option will be available?

    So I think I found the solution to the problem, Titan. It's very unhelpful on Adobe's part, but the solution is to install the language modules using Adobe Exchange. Open Premiere and go to Window>Extensions>Adobe Exchange and install from there.

  • Speech analysis not working, even for english - CC 7.0.1, OSX

    My research around the forum suggests that there IS a bug for this, but only for languages OTHER than english. I beg to differ...
    In my case, I have not installed any additional language packs, and the "Analyze..." button in the speech analysis part of the metadata panel is eternally grayed out.
    I CAN right click clips in the project panel and select "analyze content" which loads up a speech analysis prompt. Every language but English is grayed out. So, I leave it on english. Click "OK," which opens up media encoder - then nothing. Nothing happens.
    Is this a legitimate bug that I should report? Or is there something I'm missing?

    Hi Keith,
    Thanks for posting the questions.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Vinay
