Problem jsp under OC4J

Hello,
I have installed Oracle server 10g, last Version of OC4J default settings, and MapViewer.
I have put my "index.jsp" file in the "D:\oc4j\j2ee\home\default-web-app\" directory, but if I want to reach my jsp by the URL:"http://localhost:8888/index.jsp", I have this error :
500 Internal Server Error
OracleJSP: oracle.jsp.provider.JspCompileException:
Erreurs de compilation :D:\oc4j\j2ee\home\application-deployments\default\defaultWebApp\persistence\_pages\\_index.java
I think it's an OC4J configuration problem, but I don't know OC4J. Can you help me?

See my answer in Problem with jsp, OC4J, MapViewer....

  • Forms9i does not run under OC4J

    Hi!
    I try to run a form under OC4J. The explorer finds and tries to run the form, but then shuts down.
    This appears to be happening wether it finds the form or not, when I try this URL:
    http://myserver:8889/forms90/f90servlet
    the same thing happens. The explorer shuts down.
    Any ideas what could be wrong?
    Which log files should I have a look at?

  • How to bring Login.jsp under a html frame ?

    hi all.
    I have customized the Login.jsp and actually have lot of static content to be displayed in our proposed entry page.
    I decided to use Html frames - something like the one below.
    When i point on the frame to the Login.jsp ( i referred it as 'amserver/UI/Login') --> it loads all frames then redirects the page to the /amserevr/UI/Login -> the Login.jsp now occupies the entire screen and i c none of the html frames..
    any idea how to bring in the portal Login.jsp under a html frame ?
    Thanks
    Vee
    <html>
    <frameset noresize="noresize" frameborder=0 rows="25%,70%,5%">
    <frame frameborder=0 noresize="noresize" src="/amserver/UI/Login" name="banner_frame" scrolling=no>
    <frameset frameborder=0 noresize="noresize" cols="30%,70%">
    <frame frameborder=0 src="./images/menus.gif" name="menu_frame" scrolling=no>
    <frame frameborder=0 src="./images/content.gif" name="content_frame" scrolling=no>
    </frameset>
    <frame frameborder=0 src="./images/copyright.gif" name="copyright" scrolling=no>
    </frameset>
    </html>

    is it possible to write jsp code or javascript code inside this Login.jsp ?
    I got a bunch of content - menu driven to displayed additional to the identity server login module.

  • Appc does not compile JSPs under WEB-INF

    Hi,
              We are using WLS 8.1 and I noticed that appc does not compile jsps that are
              under WEB-INF. Is this expected? If the jsps are outside of WEB-INF then
              appc works fine...
              Thanks!
              John

    Although the client is not allowed to directly access jsps under WEB-INF, it
              is perfectly acceptable (and often recommended) to use a front controller to
              forward to jsps. Often these jsps are "hidden" in the WEB-INF directory so
              that they can't be accessed directly by the client. This pattern works fine
              under 8.1 except that appc won't precompile the jsps under WEB-INF (the
              container does compile the jsps when they are called). I believe this is a
              bug... If jsps are allowed in WEB-INF then appc should compile them...

  • Directory browsing under OC4J

    Hi,
    Could anyone tell me how to allow directory browsing under OC4J, it is not using Apache or anything else at the front.
    Thanks
    Andre

    Andre,
    You do not need Apache to turn on directory browsing under Orion.
    1. Edit the orion-web.xml for your web application (if you're using the default web app this is /application-deployments/default/defaultWebApp/orion-web.xml)
    2. Edit the <orion-web-app> tag
    3. Add the attribute: directorybrowsing="allow"
    You should now be able to browse any directories that do NOT have a welcome file present. Welcome files are configured in your web.xml file, the <welcome-file-list> attribute.
    Cheers,
    Mike

    Somewhere I have read that there is a size limit for jsp service method of upto 64KB,
    the above code is in a jsp "/main.html" of size when compiled (.java) 42KB
    "/wo.charge.html" is of size 40KB
    Could this be leading to probem?
    Please clarify the above things
    Thanks

  • Problem with file download through JSP under WLS6.1 SP3

    Hello,
    We're in the process of trying to migrate from WLS 6.1 SP1 to SP3, and we're encountering
    some difficulties with this migration.
    I'm attaching a very simple JSP here - it's a snippet from a larger more dynamic
    JSP, that I managed to narrow down to a pretty simple case which still doesn't
    work.
    This JSP opens a file residing at "c:\\BDELog.txt" (it's hardcoded - so change
    it to any textual local file on your machine in order to test it), and writes
    it to the output stream as a txt attachment.
    This JSP works perfectly well on SP1, however, on SP3, it fails only during the
    first hit. If you call this JSP again from the same browser window - it'll work.
    Needless to say - this isn't an acceptable behavior for a website.
    Hope you can help.
    Appreciate any response.
    Roy.
    [download.jsp]

    SP4 indeed solved it.
    Thanks again!

    I would wait until SP4(I believe it may be coming out this week actually).
    If you can't wait until then, please contact support for a 1-off patch.
    Regards,

    Many thanks !! (sigh of relief...)
    Is there a way to work around this problem - for example - write
    the
    header explicitly
    so that the problematic header will be overriden or simply get a
    patch
    from you
    guys ?
    Or do we have to wait for SP4 ?
    Thanks again,
    Roy.

    This is a known issue and has been fixed.
    The fix is in SP4. This has to do with a bug that IE has with respect
    to a
    header:
    Cache-Control: no-cache="set-cookie"
    We introduced that as the default header to be returned on all
    responses.
    As of SP4(due out very soon), the default behaviour will be notto send
    this
    header back with each response.

  • Re: execution problem with oracle jsp under apache

    i followed the instruction to install oracle jsp running on apache 1.3.9 and apacheJServ/1.1b3 under win nt 4.0 with sp5. i created a servlet zone to hold the jsp file but for some reason it will not look the the dir specified in the jserv.conf. it look at the dir under apache document root dir.. therefore, i created a dir under the apache root dir and then it was able to compile the hellouser.jsp correctly. when i run lotto.jsp, the image files would not display. why?

    Apache Servlet zones allow you separate servlet (sets) into distinct classloaders. The OJSP servlet needs to exist in a servlet zone. However the content the OJSP servlet operates on (the .jsp file) lives in the document root directory just like your other web content. OJSP does support a configuration/init parameter whereby you can explicitly specify a physical directory other than what is mapped via the Apache settings. Please consult the documentation if you want to do this.
    As for why the lottery images aren't being displayed, more information is needed. The generated page should create local references to the images files. Are the images in where they are expected to be? Can you be more explicit about the URI you send and the physical structure of the Lottery sample in the file system?

  • Problems while displaying messges on jsp under struts

    hi all,
    i have split up sing up page into two different pages and they are working fine. i have validated the form elements through struts validation, when there is any problem occured while submitting the form, means in case of invalid input or empty input, then i want to display correpsonding message againt input,
    if all input are empty then just show a single message that showing "required fileds can't be empty unless otherwise specified", but when there is any invalid input then previous message not be shown but "valid input required " message should be shown to user and corresponding input fields label marked red. i am sending jsp messages tags for reference
    <logic:messagesPresent message="false">
    <table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="550" border="0">
    <tr>
    <td align="center" class="error">
    <img src="images/error.gif" width="23" height="20" alt="error" />
    You must fill out all fields unless other specified.
    </td>
    </tr>
    </table>
    </logic:messagesPresent>
    <logic:messagesPresent message="false">
    <table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="550" border="0">
    <html:messages id="error" message="false">
    <tr>
    <td align="center" class="error">
    <ul><li><bean:write name="error" />1</li></ul>
    </td>
    </tr>
    </html:messages>
    </table>
    </logic:messagesPresent>
    if you can tell me changes to be done in validate method, then i will be thankfull of urs.

    Kamali, I think you are giving wrong value in the name attribute of login:iterate tag. Place the name what you have given in strusts-config.xml.
    Let say you have set your list in form (not in session), so by following way you can iterate your list of string objects.
    <logic:iterate name="SampleForm" property="list" id="listObj">
         <!-- your code to do stuff with listObj-->
    </logic:iterate>See if this solve your problem or not.
    Tahir
    Mark tnis reply correct or atleast helpful, if this solves your problem.

  • Disable compiling jsps in oc4j

    We want to move to using the ojspc ant task to pre-compile our jsps where I work. I can get the ant task to run but evidently am not putting the output in the correct location. In stand-alone oc4j I have to include the jsps in my deployment, which I'm not sure I should have to do. On the full OAS with jsp compiling turned off, none of the pages render. I have to hand the ears to 3rd parties to get them deployed on the OAS instance and my access to logs there is also limited so I'd like to get my oc4j stand-alone to NOT compile jsps so I have an environment that I can play with to fix the problem.
    Questions
    Q1) Can I turn off jsp compiling in OC4J standalone (deployed on Win XP OC4J version 10.1.3.5.0)?
    Q2) If the class files OJSPC produces are in the right place do I NEED the jsps in my ear/war file (same environment)?

    Figured it out on my own:
    A1) Yes. From Application Server Control select Administration
         Select JSP Properties
         Set "When a JSP changes" (under Runtime Parameters) to Reload classes.
    A2) If set as above the JSPs are not necessary.
    My root problem was that the ojspc task was not set to compile and and the javac task wasn't putting the .class files in the right place. Setting ojspc to nocompile="false" and appRoot to my destination path and suddenly _(pagename).class files starting appearing in the appropriate output directories and problem solved.

  • How to create a directory for JSPs under infrastructure "root"?

    Hi,
    I'm not very familiar with Oracle 10gAS, but someone else got it configured and running on a Solaris 9 system, so my terminology may not be correct...
    We now have an "infrastructure" website (at port 7777) and an "ias" website (at port 8000).
    Right now, under the "infrastructure" website, we have the following applications:
    - sso
    - oiddas
    These all are "under" an OC4J instance called "OC4J_SECURITY".
    I need to somehow configure things so that I have a directory directly under the "root" of the "infrastructure" website (e.g., at http://<host>:7777/myjspdirectory) where I can run some JSPs. For example, I want to be able to put a JSP named "foo.jsp" and be able to access it at http://<host>:7777/myjspdirectory/foo.jsp.
    Is there a SIMPLE way to do this? If there is, can someone provide the specific steps (e.g., which directories, and files I need to create/modify)?
    It's not a "full" web application, so I don't want to have to create a WAR, etc.
    So far, I think that I need to add some "MountOc4j" lines to the mod_oc4j.conf file:
    Oc4jMount /myjspdirectory OC4J_SECURITY
    Oc4jMount /myjspdirectory/* OC4J_SECURITY
    But, after that I'm kind of lost :(...
    Is the only way to create a full WAR and then try to deploy it?
    Sorry if my question is somewhat confused, but I guess I am :(...
    Thanks in advance,
    Jim

    qlin,
    Ok, thanks.
    I've been working on creating a WAR the last several hours. I don't have 10g AS here at home, so I've been testing the deployment of the WAR on Tomcat.
    If the WAR deploys all right in something like Tomcat, will it deploy correctly in 10g AS also?
    Are there any "gotchas" that I should be aware of ahead of deploying the WAR on 10g AS?
    Also, I have a bunch of JSPs, but in the the web.xml that I'm using in my testing, it seems to work even though I don't list all of the JSPs. Here's what I have:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
    <!DOCTYPE web-app PUBLIC "-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD Web Application 2.2//EN" "http://java.sun.com/j2ee/dtds/web-app_2_2.dtd">
    <web-app>
         <servlet>
              <servlet-name>foo1</servlet-name>
              <jsp-file>foo1.jsp</jsp-file>
         </servlet>
         <display-name>WhatEverNameYouWantDisplayed</display-name>
         <description>replace this with a short description</description>
         <welcome-file-list>
              <welcome-file>foo.html</welcome-file>
         </welcome-file-list>
    </web-app>
    Is that (only including one pair of <servlet-name> and <jsp-file> tags all right, or do I have to include a pair of tags for EACH JSP?
    Other than the above, hopefully things will go all right tomorrow... I'm going to have to undo the edits that I did manually on mod_oc4j.conf (the Mount...) and in server.xml before I try the WAR deploy, I think, right?
