Problem loading video over internet

Well, after banging my head against the wall the last couple of days and going through these forums I've decided to ask for some assistance.
I can't seem to get the video to play on the internet.  It works fine locally and I've loaded the page from the server itself and it works fine.  Of the three browsers I'm using, Safari, at least gives me an error stating that it can't locate the "flv" file.  Even though I know it's there and it's in the same directory as the other files it is able to load.
It's possible that the video is getting blocked, but how that is happening is unknown to me.  I've  checked my router ports and 80 is open as well as 8080.
Here is a link to the site, (This is an example page downloaded from the Dreamweaver site for testing purposes)
http://www.whatsnexttothemoon.com/video/homewebsite/videopage1.htm
Thank you for any assistance.
Robert

Check your naming as when I use - http://www.whatsnexttothemoon.com/video/homewebsite/FLVPlayer_Progressive.swf
The video does not show, also are you using a standard .swf or a 'custom' file as you are also showing this in your code -
<param name="FlashVars" value="&amp;MM_ComponentVersion=1&amp;skinName=Halo_Skin_3&amp;streamName=TBM7&amp;autoPlay=true&amp;autoRewind=true" />
Showing that you are using streaming.

  • Facing Problems in Streaming Video over internet using FMS 3.5

    I,am using FMS 3.5 to stream video over internet.This video will be a part of a website www.mywebsite.com . I have the webserver in my company. This webserver has the local LAN IP : 192.168.10.19 which is binded with a public internet ip 212.77.xx.xx .This website is hosted using IIS 6.0 on OS windows 2003 server with SP2
    I created a swf name sample.swf from sample.flv file and gave it the rtmp address as follows:
    rtmp://192.168.10.19/vod/_StreamingVideo_/sample.flv   (where _StreamingVideo_  is the instance on the server, and 192.168.10.19 is the LAN IP of server) ,and it worked fine and every one within the local company network could see the streaming video. Now i tried to replace this local address with the public address and the address became as follows:
    rtmp://212.77.xx.xx/vod/_StreamingVideo_/sample.flv
    After giving this public IP in the rtmp address i,am getting a message "Failed to load Flv from the address rtmp://212.77.xx.xx/vod/_StreamingVideo_/sample.flv" and as as result the video is not streamed and it only shows the progress bar on the link
    www.mywebsite.com/VideoStreaming/Sample.html without loading the video. I have also checked the ports 80,1935,1111 on the server and they are open. Is there any problem with my rtmp address with public IP or any other reason ??. Please help me out in this regard because im realy stuck here.

    Adding to my previous post this is the XML output i get when i try to access the fms admin console from local ip address i.e http://192.168.10.19:1111/fms_adminConsole.htm
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
    - <result>
    <level>error</level>
    <code>NetConnection.Connect.Rejected</code>
    <description>Admin user requires valid username and password.</description>
    <timestamp>2/3/2010 8:26:08 AM</timestamp>
    </result>
    but when i try to access fms admin console through public ip (http://212.77.xx.xx:1111/fms_adminConsole.htm) then it gives me the following :
    Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage.
    Any more suggestions Jay (because really ur the only one helping me out in this so far) ??

  • Memory leak problems with loading videos over and over.

    I'm having memory leak problems with loading videos into a VideoPlayer aswell as FLVPlayback.
    What the flash should do:
    - Should be running for 7 days without having to restart the projector.
    - Interface that shows people around a 360 3D model with 5 different parts and at the stops it makes during the rotation you can click to zoom in on a location which plays a movie for that aswell.
    - Shows a video out of 5 parts for a 360 rotation in 3D in mp4 video (added each time and cleaned up, see code below).
    - Still images are used when the video clips are done playing (MovieClip in stage).
    - Should run automatically when there is no user interaction for X minutes.
    What the problem is:
    - The flash (as a exe and swf i guess) starts to consume memory over time (say 10 hours) until the projector crashes. This usually at around 1.75 GB of memory.
    I cannot see why the Flash cannot garbage collect this and free up the memory. Mabye there is something I don't understand about the garbage collection in flash?
    Here is some code from the video loading and playing:
    var fVideo:VideoPlayer;
    VideoCreate();
    function VideoReady(pEvent:VideoEvent):void
    trace("VideoReady()");
         // start playing video
    fVideo.play();
    function VideoLoad(pUrl:String):void
         trace("VideoLoad(" + pUrl +
         VideoCreate();
         if (pUrl != "")
              if (fVideoFolder + pUrl == fVideo.source)
                   fVideo.seek(0);
    VideoReady(null);
              } else {
    trace(fVideo.state);
                   if (fVideo.state !=
    VideoState.DISCONNECTED) fVideo.stop();
    fVideo.close();
    fVideo.load(fVideoFolder + pUrl);
         } else {
    // error no url
    function VideoCreate():void
         trace("VideoCreate()");
         // remove old one
         if (getChildAt(0) == fVideo)
              removeChildAt(0);
         fVideo = new
    VideoPlayer(1024, 768);
         addChildAt(fVideo, 0);
         fVideo.autoRewind = false;
    fVideo.addEventListener(VideoEvent.COMPLETE, VideoDonePlaying);
    fVideo.addEventListener(VideoEvent.READY, VideoReady);

    Hmm. It's in connection with Dropbox. Så apparantly you can only use one of the two at the same time if you want the programs integrated in Finder.

    My iPhone is NOT jailbreak and never had a jailbreak.

    I think we should try a clean reinstall of Flash Player; do the following
    go to http://forums.adobe.com/thread/909550
    download the 64-bit uninstaller and save it to disk
    download the 64-bit installer (for Internet Explorer) and save it to disk
    close all browser windows, then run the downloaded uninstaller
    restart Windows
    using Windows Explorer, go to C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash and delete any remaining files in there
    using Windows Explorer, go to C:\Windows\syswow64\Macromed\Flash and delete any remaining files in there
    now run the downloaded installer
    Can you now see the Flasg animation at http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ ?

  • Problem in RTP over Internet(JMF Gurus help me)

    hi,
    i have developed an application over internet for video transmission,

    but i am recieving the control information like system info
    username@systemname
    wot is the problem here

    Hi Seriphan,
    Thank you for allowing me to access your SA500.  I noticed lots of ethernet WAN errors (eth1) in your error log, like the ones that follow;
    WARN Kernel eth1: Using 10Mbps with software preamble removal
    WARN Kernel eth1: Using 10Mbps with software preamble removal
    WARN Kernel size of this packet is lesser than minimum length
    I also noticed that you manually set the WAN speed to 100 Full duplex. This means that any autonegotiation process between the Service providers xDSL modem and my SA520 will fail.
    The service providers modem seems to be running at 10meg probably half duplex and you have manually set your WAN port speed to a  fixed speed of  100 meg and  full duplex, as per your screen capture below.
    By setting a port  to a fixed speed you without knowing it turn off the autonegotiate process.  Unless you configure the xDSL modem to 100 full duplex you will have WAN connection issues.
    Please select auto in the SA520  and allow the SA500 to autonegotiate with the ethernet peer, which just happens to be a xDSL modem..
    regards dave

  • Problem loading flv over network when accessing swf through html

    hi all,
    i have website that loads images and videos for my company.
    it's an internal thing that's meant to be shown in a network folder
    that people can access.
    my problem comes when i try to load videos in. on my local
    machine, everything works fine, if you launch the swf directly from
    the network folder, everything works fine. the problem comes when
    you launch the html that the swf is embedded in. my netconnection
    is successful, but when i try to load the flv using netStream.play
    (using a local path like "videos/myVid.flv") if get a
    NetStream.Play.StreamNotFound error.
    local paths work fine when loading images etc but not videos
    (even when i put the video into the images folder or vice versa).
    the only way i can get this working is if i put absolute paths into
    the video ( like "\\myServer\flash\videos\myVid.flv")
    i'm thinking this is a sandbox problem. when you open the swf
    directly, it's running on the network, so it's ok to access network
    files, but when you open the html, it's being loaded to your local
    computer, and isn't able to do it? both times when i print out the
    sandbox type it's "localWithFile", but it just doesn't work in the
    browser. but then i don't get why xml loading and image loading
    works, but not video. i've also changed the export to
    localWithNetworking and tried Security.allowDomain("*") but nothing
    worked.
    this works fine if the files are uploaded to a webserver,
    btw.
    i've
    put
    up a zip file with the relevant files (though you'll have to
    stick in your own flv), though unless you have a network handy it's
    going to be a bit hard to test it.
    any help or points in the right direction would be
    appreciated though
    thanks

    Your files work fine with my FLV and when I try to follow
    your instructions. Two days ago we had a situation that was almost
    like what you've described, except that the swf would work, the
    html work work (when opened directly, like
    "file:///Users/colin/Desktop/video%20bug/video_bug.html", but would
    not work when opened via http. If that is your real situation then
    you may have the same issue we had, which is that our server had
    its MIME type set wrong for handling FLVs.

  • Problem loading videos to my Ipod Touch

    Hi
    I wonder if there is a possibility someone could point me in the direction of a step by step tutorial on loading videos to my Touch.
    I've already successfully loaded several albums of mp3s.
    However I just cannot get videos on there at all.
    I have converted them to the correct format ( mp4) yet cannot either drag and drop them, nor load them by using the options add new folder / add to playlist.
    If someone could advise of the process step by step I would be grateful.

    OK, first a few questions, because not all mp4 files are the same, at least as far as the iPod is concerned.
    When you have iTunes up, and you click on Movies in the upper left hand corner you should get a list of movie files (these files should be located in My Documents at that level, not in subfolders). Do you see the name of the video there? If not, try under File to "Add file to library ..." Does it do it? If not, you don't have the right type of mp4 file. If it does, but when syncing it complains it can't find it, you need to click on it and then under Advanced select "convert to ipod."

  • Crash loading video over a minute

    Can't load videos Portuguese version, please help.

  • Mobile YouTube website not loading videos over 3G

    This problem has only surfaced in the last couple of weeks for myself and a couple of other friends. When I go to http://m.youtube.com and try to load a video using 3G, it doesn't load. The same video will load with no problems over 3G if I use the YouTube app and the mobile site will work over Wifi. I've tried deleting my cache/cookies and restoring my phone and it did nothing. I was sent here from the YouTube support page by a Google employee, so basically they're not taking responsibility for it.
    My friends who are also having the problem are with different carriers to me, so it's very unlikely that both of them started blocking access to YouTube over 3G at the same time.
    Has anyone else had this problem or knows of a way to fix it?

    I noticed that yesterday! It kept telling me to Enable Plugins in my Safari settings but there is no plugin to enable unless it was talking about on the computer and not the phone. I finally got it to work but its not the Youtube I am used to using.

  • Ipod problem loading videos

    ok, well i download a movie off an azureus torrent, i think right now its an ISO file, i dont know if ipod use that file, im a begineer, i got my 30gb video for christmas and have never used itunes before! ok so my problem, when i try to drag my movie over to itunes i just simply ignores it! so i tried changing it to run with quicktime, and it still didnt load onto my ipod
    please help!

    iTunes does not support ISO files since they are not even movie. They are image files probably ripped off a DVD or VCD of the movie files. Therefore you'll have to search for a tool and convert them to MP4/MPEG files in order to use them on your iPod.
    Look online for a conversion tool that does that.

  • Problem loading videos Premiere 8

    Hi everyone,
    I just install Premiere 8 after workign on a project with Premeire 7.
    I can open my project without problem but then all the videos are loding. I got a message in the even part (left bottom side) where ti's written loaded I:/ .... (300 videos remaining).
    Is that normal? It was not like that with 7 and it takes a while every time I want to use my project. Or is it because I'm working from an external HD?
    Thanks,
    Kavinsky69

    The challenge is that, in opening the file in version 8, you also probably corrupted it so that you can't open it now in version 7 either (which is why I recommend against opening a project file in a newer version of the program in all of my books).
    If that's the case, the wisest solution is to redo the project.

  • Problem serving video to Internet explorer

    Hello and thanks in advance to all.
    I am completely new to Flash Video and FMS, and have encountered a problem when using IE. Following Tom Green's 'Beginners guide to streaming video with Flash Media Server 3.5'  I set up a video to be served from the following URL:
    http://ilcec2009.lci.kent.edu/public_lecture.htm
    The video is streaming fine (albeit slowly) on all browsers, (chrome, firefox, opera, safari) except, internet explorer.  I have enabled Javascript, Active X controls, and just about every other security precaution I can select, un-installed and reinstalled Adobe Flash, on my local server and  on four different machines, but I cannot get the video to function properly when using IE
    Additionally, the Flash Media Server Administration Panel or Start Page are not fully functional IE, but it works well with all other browsers.
    Can someone suggest why the video is not streaming using IE, regardless of the security settings?  I can understand something not running on my local machine if the security settings are too high, but I don't  understand why the video is not working when IE on other computers.  YouTube works fine using other machines, but when I attempt to view the above URL, the video is not streaming.
    Thanks again in advance for any help, and I will be happy to supply any other information

    It sounds like you are experiencing problems with the Apple supplied Boot Camp drivers. This is a well known problem and one for which there is no resolution other than to plug a USB mouse into your laptop and use that instead of the TrackPad.
    A lot of us have been on the forums complaining about this issue for 9 months and we still have nothing to show for it from Apple.

    I have just replaced my hard rive in my 15" MBP.I have loaded lion back
    via Internet . I then restored from my old hard drive. Now the MBP
    won't boot
    What do you see on the screen when it doesn't boot??
    Gray, Blue or White screen at boot, w/spinner/progress bar
    or
    Folder with question mark issue?
    How did you restore from your old hard drive?
    Technically all that was needed was to use Migration Assistant on the fresh OS X install to migrate users accounts and programs to the new machine.
    You can use a SATA to USB adapter to connect the old drive if you want to go that way and start over with a fresh install again on the new drive.
