Problem ordering book

I'm using a trial version of Apeture 1.5.3. I have completed a book and want to purchase two copies. When I initiate the ordering procedure, I notice the "Quantity" drop box is greyed out and, although a price is given for a copy of the book, there is no information regarding shipping and tax. So...I try and proceed, assuming maybe I'll be able to order at least one copy. The server correctly displays all of my account information, but when I go to step three of the ordering process, a box always appears, saying,"An error has occurred. Please try again later." Well, I have been trying for more than a day now. Apple reassures me this has nothing to do with it being trial version software; I should have full capability, including ordering books. They say it may have something to do with Apple's server. My trial authorization expires in one day. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
iMacG5   Mac OS X (10.4.9)

I do not have a trial version, and I am having trouble ordering the book also. No response from the help message to aperture, and absolutely no help from applecare. My next procare session is in a week so I will appeal to the genuis crowd at the mac store and if I have any success I'll post a message. I thought it might be my photos in aperture. I find that the aperture corrected photos do not print out well, so I've taken the photos to photoshop to revise and correct and then imported them back into aperture for the book--possibly files too big. This is the only way I have been able to get satisfactory prints out of aperture. The Indesign pages I print out are very good also.

  • Problem ordering book from I photo

When I went to process my order I got a pop up window saying "default text has been found that has not been edited-printed books will not include this text. Question: How can I find out where it is detecting this problem? I have reviewed all the text several times and can't figure out where it is seeing this.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. You'll have to go through the book, page by page, looking for any text fields that do not have any entry. When you find them either put in text or just a space. That will get rid of the message.
Even if you go ahead and order the book, those text boxes will appear empty, i.e. the default text that is in them will not be printed.
Be sure to check the cover, front and back flaps, etc., as well as each page layout. Also before ordering preview the book as described in this Apple document to make sure all text is visible and there are no other errors (spelling comes to mind first for my books).

  • Problem order book via iPhoto- files not found or corrupt

every year my wife builds a book of photos and orders it via Apple. Since last year we've upgraded to Yosemite and updated iPhoto.
shes spent hours and the book looks good- every time she clicks buy book it says a different photo either cannot be located or is corrupt!
    any ideas?! She's devestated!

Would trying to repair permissions for the photos help?
It will help, if it is a permissions problem, but there may be other problems.
We need to know, if the photos are missing or corrupted, or cannot be accessed because of permission errors.
Do you have a backup of the iPhoto library? If not, backup the Mac before proceeding.
To repair and rebuild open the iPhoto library with the First Aid tools:
Launch into the First Aid Tools  by holding down the key combination option-command ⌥⌘ and double clicking the iPhoto Library icon to launch iPhoto on this library.
Keep the two buttons firmly held down, until you are seeing the First Aid panel.
    Then select "Repair database".
If that does not fix it, try the other First Aid options as well. First repair Permissions, then rebuild.

  • Hi, I have problems in ordering book from iPhoto. It says "problems in getting contact with Apple Online Store" I have changed password on my Apple ID - could that be the problem ??

Hi, I have problems in ordering book from iPhoto. It says "problems in getting contact with Apple Online Store" I have changed password on my Apple ID - could that be the problem ??

Some additional efforts you can try:
Go to the System/Sharing preference pane and make sure Remote Apple Events is checked.
If it is, uncheck it and then recheck and try ordering again.

  • Ordering Problem - Prints & Books

I am unable to order books or prints in iPhoto 5.0.4.
When I click the "Order Prints" button, nothing happens at all. When I click "Buy Book," the book is assembled, but then nothing else.
In each case, iPhoto simply returns to the state it was in before I clicked. No ordering info comes up, no crash, no error message.
My internet connection is broadband and works fine. My account info is up to date. My Library is 4.6 GB.
Any ideas about what the problem could be? On my end or at Apple?
    Thanks.

try quitting iPhoto and deleting the iPhoto preference file - "your username" ==> library ==> preferences ==> com.apple.iPhoto.plist - when you launch iPhoto a new fresh default preference file will be created - reset any personal preferences you have changed and try
Also before you order it is a good idea to preview the book as a PDF and save that for reference if there are any problems

  • Problem Ordering a Book

I click "order book". The "Order Book" page pops up. I'm not able to change the quantity from 0 to 1. The only available buttons are "cancel" and "set up account" I click "set up account" and it opens the "set up account" page. This allows me to sign-in. I have 1-Click and an apple account. I enter my id and password and click "sign-in". An erro pops up "There was an error while accessing your account information. Please check your network connection and try again." I click "ok".
I'm online typing this with my open network connection. By logging onto the net or checking my email are my only ways of checking my network connection. Everything looks like I should be able to sign-in and buy a book. But it's not working. I found support page for this problem saying to make sure my clock was set correctly on my computer, and it was. ANYONE please help.

    I GOT IT FIXED!!
All you have to do is enable 1-Click on the Apple Store Website page.

  • ERROR DEPLOYING A WEB SERVICE (SOA Order Booking application)

    Hi everyone...
I got some problem here, I hope somebody help me...
    So...
I've quite laboriously managed to get SOA Suite installed and I'm half way through the deployment of the order

So, does anyone can tell me what am I have to do?!
    Regards...

I am currently having the same problem with the SOA Order booking demo application. All of the installation went fine until I tried to run the web client. Whenever I try to access http://localhost:8888/soademo, I get a 500 internal server error.
Did you ever find a solution for this problem?
    Thanks in advance!

  • IPhoto unable to order book

Have been unable to order a book from iPhoto for about 2 months now. At first I put it down to the coupon offer overloading the servers, but still no joy after the coupon ended.
The book assembles ok, but on transferring the data it doesn't get past 0Kb. The error message in the console reads:
    10/05/2008 17:04:31 iPhoto[1484] ISCoordinator responseFromUploadFiles: error...
    MessengerContext = <ISNewMessengerContext: 0x1e417b30>;
    Retry = YES;
    Status = ERROR;
I have checked for empty text boxes etc as suggested by some people. Am running 10.5.2 on a MacBook Pro 2.33GHz. iPhoto version 7.1.3 (364). Was definitely able to order books pre-Leopard.
    Any help appreciated!

    noelep:
Welcome to the Apple Discussions. This Apple KB document just was released and may be of some help: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1139.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • After Leopard reinstall and upgrade can't order book

Had to do an erase and install yesterday and restored my harddrive from Time Machine. (My iMac hung on restart and that's the advice I got from support). Also did the 7.1.3 update.
Now, I can't order iPhoto books. It hangs on Connecting... when I hit order book, or, if I get past that, iPhoto will assemble the book and then hang when it tries to place the order and give me an error message about checking my network connections (it seems fine in other programs, but I'm not trying to upload a large file in anything else either).
Any ideas? I was hoping to order a book before the coupon expired tomorrow.
    Karen

    Karen, Gale & Drowzy,
Am having the same "Network Connection Error" ever since last evening. I have contacted iPhoto/Photo Services Support HERE. and will post their response as soon as I hear something. I too am worried that the special discount will expire prior to our ordering. I have talked with an Apple tech, and he did acknowledge a problem. But he suggested that I post to the above for "exact" help. You may want to do the same.
    Good Luck,
    John

  • Ordering books-iphoto 08 won't let me buy books i made in previous versions

help! i just upgraded last night to iphoto08, but tried to order books i'd made in previous versions today and i'm getting the message that "item is not available" or something to that effect. the books show up as i made them, but i can't order hard copies. do i have to recreate the books? or is there something i can do?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. I had a book, the Storybook theme, in progress when I converted. iPhoto gave me a warning that the theme was no longer available but I could continue with the as long as I didn't try changing to another theme and then change back. However, that theme had the dust jacket feature instead of the photo on the front cover.
If you still have or have access to iPhoto 6 you could create a new library and recreate the book with that theme and see if you can order it. I'm thinking of trying the same thing.
    Do you Twango?

  • IPhoto 2 can't order book, how to duplicate?

I have successfully created a book. When I click "Order Book," the book assembles, but when it gets to the "Connecting" window, it says "There is a problem. Try again later."
I've tried plenty of times. The book will not order.
I've updated all of my software. Customer service suggested that I try ordering under a different username. However, how do you transfer files? When I duplicate the albums, only the photos are duplicated, but the way I have arranged them on the pages of each book are not. Is there a way to maintain this as well?

I'm not familiar with Version 2 but you can do a print to PDF and then go to SharedInk.com and upload that pdf file for printing and binding. They have very similar covers (as I remember the cover photo is actually on the first page and there's a window in the front cover). Many users have reported very satisfactory results with SharedInk.
Hope this has been of some help. Good luck.

  • ESYU: R12 - Order를 Booking 하면 Order line의 Tax Classificaiton을 clear 하는 문제

    Symptoms
Oracle Order Management - Version: 12.0.1
This problem can occur on any platform.
    STEPS:
    1. Order Management responsibility
    2. Orders, Returns > Sales Orders
    3. Create new order, attempting to overwrite the Tax Classification Code---then recalculate
Tax---saving the order. That field is empty.
    Cause
또한 Tax Date와 Tax Code, Tax Exempt Number, Tax Exempt Reason 간의 seed dependency도
    Solution
    Defaulting Extension Package(OE_Dependencies_Extn OEXEDEPB.pls)

    Hi
    I am new to OracleFusion.
Started Learning By practising OrderBooking tutorial for 10g.
I am practising parellel branching in the tutorial .
I ve invoked Rapid distributors service in branch 1 of the flow activity.
    and
i ve invoked Select manufacturing service in branch 2 of flow activity.
I ve deployed order booking service, rapid distributed service, select manufacturing service in the server.
Select manufacturing service is an asynchronous service .for this service to be complete it requires user to manually set price for the item ordered.
So I accesed SelectManufacturinUI in browser as instructed in book. The problem is tht it is directing me to login page where User id and password should be submitted.
In the tutorial no info is given regarding login details fot this page.Hence i am not able to set price for order.
