  • Unable to disable Cover Page printing on standard report

    HI Experts,
I would like to exclude the cover page printing of standard transaction code S_ALR_87009895 's report.
The preview comes out fine (without the cover page) but when it is sends to the spool and then preview at SP01 before printing, the display includes the cover page.
The cover page includes: Sorting Criteria and Data Statistics above the actual report.
How do I exclude the cover page?
NOTE: I had tried setting the properties prior the printing to DO NOT PRINT at SAP Cover Page drop down list, and OS Cover Page .
But it seems to have no effect.
Any other setting at printer device level?
    Kindly advice the steps.
    Thank You.

  • Problem when printing Alv Tree Report in back ground

    Hi,
I am using SUBMIT ...TO SAP-SPOOL WITHOUT SPOOL DYNPRO with GET_PRINT_PARAMETERS FM.Its working fine.
My problem is that my SUBMIT report have TREE STRUCTURE as output so when i am running my program one blank screen is coming with heading DISPLAY LOG TREE because of TREE STRUCTURE.when i click on back button then only further processing happens.
How to avoid this TREE STRUCTURE SCREEN ???
Is there any other way to pass your list o/p to SPOOL other than .....TO SAP-SPOOL..?
    Thanks in advance.

in foreground when u run ALV report it holds maximum fields and displays in 1 single row, but the case is not in back ground...When any report is run in background, the default size for a line is 255 chars...So, if it more it gets splitted into 2 line item....This is how back ground job works for a report  though it is a normal report or alv report.

  • Problems printing PDF from Reports

    Hi,
I'm having a problem with the Report's way of generating pdf-documents.
The report that Reports was supposed to create have some bullets where but when Reports converts the document to pdf it sometimes insert asterisks instead of bullets...but only sometimes. At other times the bullets are substituted with | signs ???
When I open the file with Acrobat reader, you can see the asterisks (sometimes) and (sometimes) the bullets, so I don't think that it is Acrobat.
How do I get it to print bullets every time?
Can it be something with fonts ?
All help is appriaciated very much as I'm going crazy soon :P
    mvh Christian

    Hi Christian,
I have a similar problem with Report 10g R1. We have a Report which contains a lot of informations, so all field have the little size they can (on report builder). Some times, the report is ok, but some times, informations are replaced by '*'. Report replace characters by '*' when there is not enough place !!!
If I compare a good and a bad report, I can see that the text has not exactly the same size !!! And I can see in the PDF (open with text editor) that there are some differences...
I have an open tar on metalink, but no solution for the moment...
Another thing, this occurs on our 3 production servers but not on our development server...

  • How to print standard report region to a PC printer via Win printer driver?

I know it's not very sexy, but sometimes an app user needs to print a standard report region to a printer that is connected to their PC. So that they can print their Apex report in the same manner as they do everything else from their PC, using a predefined Windows printer driver is necessary. What is a simple way to add a "Print" button to a standard report that will open the Windows print facility?
    P.S. Apex 4.1
P.P.S. Hopefully, the solution is simple. i.e. No installation of additional print drivers, etc. The user may not be technologically sophisticated. They simply want a hard copy of information that they pulled up with their Apex app (they don't even know what Apex or a printer driver is).
    Thanks,
    Kim

Add a Print button or link to the page with an <tt>onclick</tt> attribute that calls the method<tt>print()</tt> method:
onclick="window.print();"You can also use a print media style sheet to suppress unwanted page elements (tabs etc) from the printed output and optimize the report formatting for print.

  • Print SSRS Server Report in landscape or portrait mode directly(without report viewer control)

    Hello,
    .Net 4.0\VS2010\C#\ssrs 2008 on Sql Server 2008R2
Having a problem printing a Server report while controlling the orientation and the size of the emf rendered to the physical page.
I have the report cutting off in both landscape and portrait modes. I'm passing the following deviceinfo to the render function:
    string DeviceInfo =
    @"<DeviceInfo>
    <OutputFormat>EMF</OutputFormat>
    <PageWidth>8.5in</PageWidth>
    <PageHeight>11in</PageHeight>
    <MarginTop>0.25in</MarginTop>
    <MarginLeft>0.25in</MarginLeft>
    <MarginRight>0.25in</MarginRight>
    <MarginBottom>0.25in</MarginBottom>
    </DeviceInfo>";
    return DeviceInfo;
    string mimeType;            string fileExtension;            Stream pageStream = serverReport.Render("IMAGE",  deviceInfo, firstPageParameters, out mimeType, out fileExtension);
No other settings seem to have an affect on controlling the output to printer or pdf.  i.e. The deviceinfo params fed to server report's render function are all you get.  I think my original code comes from an MSDN or CodeProject example. I'm not
    inventing anything new here.
Links below indicate similar problems but they are looking at the issue from just landscape mode. Seems like I ought to be able to squash or expand the image to whatever size I specify, separate from the 'page' size.  Please let me know what i need
to know to make these reports print without bleeding onto 2 pages or slicing off the right side of the document image.

     Hi
    FraterJoanni,
Thanks for posting in MSDN forum.
I am not expert in SSRS. You should get better response in SQL Server > SQL
Server Reporting Services, Power View forum.
After take a look at the similar threads links as you posted above.
The conclusion is we needn’t tell the program o this report is landscape not portrait. If the width is larger than the height, the report will be printed in landscape; otherwise, it will be printed in portrait.
    >>Links below indicate similar problems but they are looking at the issue from just landscape mode.
But in C# forum, we only from the point of code, code looks OK to me.

  • In LabView 8.2, saving a standard report

I am new to versions above 6.1 and to reporting.
I am trying to find a way to save a report that is formatted, should not be editable once saved and that the filename and path are created programmatically.
In searching for ideas, I did find that I could print a Standard report to Virtual Printers like Microsoft XPS Document Writer. This would work except for the popup created to retrieve the filename and path which allows the user to select these.
I also found that previous versions of LabView could save a report as a Word document. When I tried to find this for 8.2, I couldn't. This would work except it wouldn't solve the problem of not being editable.
Does anyone have ideas for me? I don't have any code to show as so far I am still playing with the creation of the report itself.

I went and looked at the Report Generation Toolkit and it doesn't do what I am needing. It does allow the programmer to create a report for visualizing in Word but it doesn't save it FOR Word. It opens Word and allows the user to save from WITHIN Word.
What I am needing to do is the report generation and file saving from within LabView programmatically. I also need to be able to set the file as a READ ONLY file. Using the Report Generation Toolkit would allow the user of my program to change the data before saving. This cannot be allowed for this project. The HTML report generation is out the question for this project.
This is the reason I have looked into using a Virtual Printer like MS XPS Document Writer. This creates a file that cannot be opened for edit as it is a Print to File XML formatted file. However, the user of my project would have to supply the filename and path. This is a major problem as well.
    Any other ideas?

  • Problems printing envelope from pdf file with logo & return address.

I have the 6310 All-In-One Printer. I am experiencing major problems printing envelopes (standard size, #10) from a pdf file that is setup with a business logo, name , and address. First of all, the User Guide on page 63 directs you to load the envelope with the flaps up and on the left. This prints out return address in the lower right corner of the envelope front. I have insert the envelope opposite to the User Guide to get the information printed in the correct location, the upper left corner.
Bigger problem - The logo, which is placed to the left of the business name and address will NOT print out. My preview printer window shows the logo, but it will not print. I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong.

  • Alv list report-problems while printing

    hai,
i get following dump error when tryign to print a alv list report.
'Illegal interruption of the event LOAD-OF-PROGRAM.

the problem resolves for a particular output(when i restrict the list to lesser rows) by changing FORMAT from

  • Report Toolkit Standard Report Print Problem

We are trying to print a label out on a Zebra QL220+ Thermal Printer.  Using the Report Generation Toolkit and selecting the Report Type as "WORD" it works fine.  However by ONLY changing the Report Type to "STANDARD REPORT" it still prints out the label OK, but then scrolls out another blank label - it's like some sort of form feed character/command is somehow being appended.
We don't want to use the WORD Report Type, because I assume we have to install MS Office, which we don't want.
As you can see from the attached VI, it is just some very basic text that we are writing to the Label.
Is there some way we can see what data is actually being sent to the Printer for the two different Report Types?

If your printer is networked you would open a TCP connection on port 6101 to the printer. If serial simply send the data via normal VISA commands.
Here is the CPCL for the one example label in your code:
    ! 0 200 200 440 1
    TEXT 0 2 10 10 Date: <DATE>
    TEXT 0 2 10 30 Time: <TIME>
    TEXT 0 2 10 50 Operator: <INITIALS>
    TEXT 0 2 10 70 Location: <LOCATION>
    TEXT 0 2 10 90 Reason: <REASON>
    TEXT 0 2 10 110 Post Comment: <COMMENT>
    TEXT 0 2 10 130 S/N: <SN>
    TEXT 0 2 10 150 Dryness Fraction:
    TEXT 0 2 10 170 Signature:
    LINE 100 190 300 190 1
    PRINT
In the above label you would programmatically replace the "<x>" fields with the actual data you wanted printed. For your multiple S/Ns you would use a loop to add the lines with each S/N.
From the CPCL manual here are the pages for the elements I used above:
    TEXT Commands
The TEXT command is used to place text on a label. This
command and its variants control the specific font number
and size used, the location of the text on the label,
and the orientation of this text. Standard resident fonts
can be rotated to 90° increments as shown in the example.
    Format:
    {command} {font} {size} {x} {y} {data}
    where:
    {command}: Choose from the following:
    TEXT Prints text horizontally.
    (or T)
VTEXT Prints text (vertically) rotated 90
    (or VT) degrees counterclockwise.
    TEXT90 (Same as VTEXT above.)
    (or T90)
TEXT180 Prints text (upside down) rotated
    (or T180) 180 degrees counterclockwise.
TEXT270 Prints text (vertically) rotated 270
    (or T270) degrees counterclockwise.
    {font}: Name/number of the font.
{size}: Size identifier for the font.
    {x}: Horizontal starting position.
    {y}: Vertical starting position.
{data}: The text to be printed.
    LINE Commands
Lines of any length, thickness, and angular orientation
can be drawn using the LINE command.
    Format:
    {command} {x0} {y0} {x1} {y1} {width}
    where:
    {command}: Choose from the following:
    LINE Prints a line.
    (or L)
    {x0}: X-coordinate of the top-left corner.
    {y0}: Y-coordinate of the top-left corner.
    {x1}: X-coordinate of:
    - top right corner for horizontal.
    - bottom left corner for vertical.
    {y1}: Y-coordinate of:
    - top right corner for horizontal.
    - bottom left corner for vertical.
{width}: Unit-width (or thickness) of the line.
    <!> {offset} <200> <200> {height} {qty}
    where:
<!>: Use '!' to begin a control session.
{offset}: The horizontal offset for the entire label.
This value causes all fields to be offset
horizontally by the specified number of
    UNITS.
    <200>: Horizontal resolution (in dots-per-inch).
    <200>: Vertical resolution (in dots-per-inch).
{height}: The maximum height of the label.
The maximum label height is calculated by measuring
from the bottom of the first black bar (or
label gap) to the top of the next black bar (or label
gap). Then 1/16” [1.5mm] is subtracted from this
distance to obtain the maximum height. (In dots:
subtract 12 dots on 203 d.p.i printers; 18 dots on
    306 d.p.i. printers)
{qty}: Quantity of labels to be printed.
    Maximum = 1024.
