Problem: Project can't connect to WCF RESTful service in the same solution

I followed the instruction in "Consuming
a RESTful web service with jQuery and Ajax" on the blog of Dedra L. Welch and created in my solution a WFC Web Application (RestService)
and a ASP.NET Empty Website (TestClient), but the client website couldn't connect to the service. I'm not sure did the jQuery function even run at all.

First please try to follow the blog step by step to see if it works.
Then please try to use the fiddler to help you detect if the service is run or not. Or you can just use a Get method in your web service to test if you can broswer it in the broswer. If you can get the right value with the Get method, then it means
that your service should run.

I am trying to create a simple application to test WCF with WP8.1. I have created my service. Later I create my WP8.1 silver light application and I try to add a reference to my service Project. The problem is that I get an error that says that I have only

You can use any type of rest service with windows phone 8.1 because rest services can be called via the httpclient class. You dont need a service reference. Personally I prefer the web api but there is no reason you can not use a wcf rest service.

Can not connect to printer and internet at the same time

I use my airport to connect to the internet via the ethernet port. Internet was working fine until I connected my printer to airport via its USB port. Now the printer works fine but I can't connect to the internet using the same connection.
I can still connect to the same server using its wireless service, but I have to keep hitting the drop down list in the menu bar to select that connection. Can't I just keep connected to the same connection without having to switch back and forth? I thought these mac products were supposed to be all user friendly... I don't have time for this.

The only way to print and use the internet (or university network) at the same time is to do one of the following:
(1) Connect the printer via USB to your computer.
(2) Connect the AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS) via Ethernet to the university's network and then configure the AEBS to act as a bridge (not sharing a single IP address).
The AEBS can NOT wirelessly join the network.

SAP GRC 10 : Can we connect GRC to multiple clients within the same system

We are having this requirement to connect SAP GRC to two different clients within the QA System.
Just wondering whether this is possible to connect at the same time. We have created connectors in both the clients in ECC and in GRC we have connectors for both ECC Cllients. When I try to add the connector for second client in SPRO , it is not even showing up entry for that

If you have two ECC clients you would create two connectors to GRC. You would need two SM59 RFC connections (one for each client) to map them through.You can map them to the same logical group though.
What is not working for you? Did you define both clients as their own connectors?

yes that is one of the reasons for dual ethernets. If you use DHCP the ports will get necessary data at boot up.

Can I vpn to an afp service on the same machine?

I have an XServe running 10.4.11 with AFP, httpd, and the firewall service. I've configured the firewall to only allow connections to the file share from our local network. This works fine. I want to setup vpn service so users can connect to file share remotely. I've turned on vpn and configured it, and clients can connect. They receive unused static ips on our local network. However when I try to connect to the server afp service from the client I get no response, it times out. I read another thread here which indicated I cannot use the vpn service to connect to another service running at the same ip address (VPN working in reverse!?). OK that makes sense. So I thought about running VPN on the second network interface (XServe with two nics, different ips). However in reading the 10.4 Server manual it says it's not possible to run services on different network interfaces, all services run on all network interfaces. This matches what I'm seeing in Server Admin. So does that mean what I am trying to do is impossible using only one machine?

Regarding running both the vmserver and the vmmanager on the same machine - I have this running. Maybe not the best architectural decision but I only have one large server for my testing. I don't remember excatly what i did but I got inspired form the folloeing post in the forum Simple VM-Manager install . I also added more memory to the dom0 domain to enable the much higher memory usage because of the vmmanager running there.

Can't run wiki and web services at the same time?

I'm a newbie with Lion Server, but I've been running several web sites successfully for about 6 months. I'm up to Server 10.7.4.
I've been trying ever since the first installation of Server to get the wiki service running. I had absolutely no luck until I turned OFF the web service (always got the "URL does not exist" error when I tried to create a group wiki from inside the Server app). With the web service off, it all starts up fine and I created my first wiki (woohoo). Turning web service back on kills access to the wiki. I don't find reference to this in any of the dicussions, and especially not in Apple's documentation.
Are the Wiki and Web services mutually exclusive? Or is there a way around this?
I'm using Dyndns to provide me with sub-domains to use, and I've dedicated one of them to the wiki service. Traffic comes in on port 8080, where my web sites are on port 80.

LR supports tethering using a Canon DLL and EOS Utility probably also supports tethering or at least uses something from a similar Canon DLL. You probably cannot have two different versions of that DLL loaded at the same time, so it makes sense there are problems.

Can I connect hdmi and display port at the same time?

The toslink on my 2010 mini is glitchy. So I want to run the audio through the hdmi to my recevier. And the video through the minidisplay port to hdmi to a monitor. Will this work? Can I use the hdmi for audio only and the display port for video only? Thanks

Yes, that is exactly how to use dual monitors.
Optionally:
if the second monitor has DVI input, use the MiniDisplay Port to DVI adapter.
or if it has Display Port input, then all you need is a straight MiniDisplay Port to Display Port cable.

Connecting to mulitple cache services with the cache adapter

Is it possible to connect to mulitple cache services using the same CacheAdapter within the same thread.
Example:

Calling adaptor.connect() basically makes the adapter aware of transactional boundaries imposed by an application server. It is somewhat analogous to getting a db connection. An adapater can be connected to one and only one CacheService. Connection occurs during the connect(String, String, String) call and any subsequent calls to connect() will cause an IllegalStateException. To connect to multiple CacheServices you would just need to instantiate different adapters.
Using [connected] adapter you can retrieve a transactional NamedCache for any number of NamedCaches for the CacheService that adapter is connected to by using:
adapter.getNamedCache(sCacheName, loader);Method getDistributedCache(String, ClassLoader) is just a simple helper that ensures that the adapter is connected to the default DistributedCache service and in turn calls getNamedCache(String, ClassLoader)

We are trying to create a process using BPEL where data from one database instance needs to be passed to the other. The process is compiling properly and we could deploy it in BPEL Process Manager. But when we try to run the process, the data is not getting inserted into the second instance. There is no error /exception being thrown at most of the time, but at times we are getting a 'Unique constraint error' eventhough there is no duplication of data.
Can we connect to two different instances using the same toplink. How can we achieve this.

Specifically:
Resolution
Verify that there is nothing plugged in to the headset jack, including headsets, headphones, or adapters.
Make sure the Ring/Silent switch is not switched to silent.
While on the Home screen, adjust the volume buttons. If you see the icon below, indicating that headphones are attached, there may be debris or an object lodged in the headset jack:
Check the headset jack. If there is an object lodged in the headset jack that is not easily removed, have the iPhone serviced to remove object.
For Original iPhone: If there is light debris, such as lint, in the headset jack, try connecting a pair of headphones to the headset jack and then remove the headphones. Repeat this several times to remove the debris.
If you have installed a protective film on the display, either ensure that the receiver is not covered or remove the film completely.
Check the receiver mesh (which is on the top front of the device, above the display). If it appears blocked, use a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush to carefully and gently brush away any debris.
If you have paired with a Bluetooth headset that is nearby, either use the headset or turn Bluetooth off (chooseSettings > General > Bluetooth).
Restart the iPhone.
If restarting the iPhone doesn't resolve the issue, try restoring the device.
If the issue persists, go to the Service Answer Center - iPhone for information on service.
