anyone else noticed this? it happens sometimes when going to www.apple.com and switching to another site while www.apple.com still loads. safari or apple.com problem?

I got a same problem when I access to www.apple.com also, after this "problem receibing xml data" dialog appeared I cannot play streaming video(WMP).

Problems handling xml data for tree control.

Hi,
I have tried using tree control for displaying my xml data
but I had a problem that i did not have labels in my xml data. A
sample xml data is attached. So it displays the whole data at each
level in the tree. The root label will be the entire the xml data
and then one level down the remaining xml data and so on...
How do i solve this issue i,e get the tags names itself as
labels..

An update after some efforts..
Could get the folders perfectly i.e until the level of
CPUTime perfectly but could not get the leaf: 32 since i used the
following to set the label.
I would like to know if there is a way to find out if a node
is a leaf or folder and according set the label

Problem generating XML data file through XSD

Hello there,
I'm trying to generate an XML data file as per the below steps:
Making a normal schema in query transform.
Mapping desired source column into query schema.
Right click on query transform and generating XML schema (XSD) in my local system.
In object library XML file format adding the XSD with schema as a root element.
Creating target instance from object library XML file.
In target file specifying file creation path in my local system.
After performing above steps and executing the job getting below error.
Any help on this will be much appreciated.

I found some code looking at a similar issue - I don't know how to recover other data (in I guess) the rest of the HTML in the code. I need to find a better reference with details and examples.

Problem displaying XML data in XSL page

Hi There!
I'm having trouble when adding XML data from the schema (which shows up properly in the bindings panel) to the XSL page..
Following the step by step available here...

After adding the XML item to the XSL file it ends up showing up as parent/client/name (no brackets) Instead of like the example above where it should display as {parent/client/name} and be highlighted. Also when previewing the XSL document it just shows 'parent/client/name' instead of the actuall XML content..
I believe the XML data source is properly attached because it shows up in the bindings panel.. But I don't know what else could be going wrong..
Any help would be great!

This is being enhanced to that the [...] button that appears in the data grid is available for all grid of data so that a popup with an extended area is shown.

I'm learning to use SAX API in order to insert large XML files into database. I'm trying to run sample xdksample_040602.zip (data stream sample using pl/sql and
SAX). Everything runs fine until I run "ExDocumentTest.sql" file. I get this error:
Errors for PROCEDURE DOCEXPAND:
PL/SQL:SQL Statement ignored
PLS-00385: type mismatch found at 'P_XML' in SELECT...INTO statement
PL/SQL:SQL Statement ignored
PLS-00385:type mismatch found at 'P_DTD' in SELECT...INTO statement
Please I need to solve this problem. Or... where can I find another sample to do what I want? this seems to be the only sample for inserting XML into the database
with SAX. I already know how to do it with DOM.

Problem in XML Data Source

I went through all steps of "HOW to Push data to XML" document.
I kept my XML file on Desktop
When I perform "Send Recordset" no response from system my data is not seen in delta Queue.
Do I need to do any settings in BW system apart from what is mentioned in document.

Problems importing XML data into form (Acrobat 8 Pro)

I created a form in Designer with an email submit button, and now I am receiving XML files by email. I'd like to import these back into the form. But when I open the form and select "import data," I get the following message:
"This document restricts some Acrobat features to allow for extended eatures in Adobe Reader. To create a copy of the document that is not restricted (and has no extended features in Adobe Reader), click Save a Copy."
Whether I save it or click cancel, afterwards "import data" is no longer an option. The same thing happens if I try to open the form again in Designer.
I assume that this is related to having enabled usage rights in Adobe Reader (necessary because the email submit button only works for people who use Microsoft Outlook -- what's up with that?). But dis-enabling these rights for the form doesn't change anything.
All help appreciated! I'm a novice, so please make it simple.

If I click "save a copy," then it opens a dialogue box for this. I've been saving this copy under the same name but in a different folder (so as not to screw up my original).
After saving the file, the "import data" option is no longer available for selection. (Nor is the "Edit Form in Designer" option).
If I close this and open the newly saved file, then it does give me an "import data" option. But when I try to import an XML file, I always get this error:
"Xml parsing error: not well-formed (invalid token)(error code 4), line 1, column 5 of file [file path and name]"
Open for suggestions.

Problem splitting XML Data into multiple files

I am sending an XML message through an enterprise message source in enterprise link design studio. While I do so, I am getting a heavy error. This error tells me that my path ist wrong, but I am sure this one is right. Actually everything worked fine till I added an attribute twice in my XML. Since this point enterprise link drives me crazy, I have checked on my XML, it is valid, I have checked on my path, which is also ok.
Anyone some suggestions how to resolve the issue?

Newbie problem with XML data

I am new to XML Publisher and am probably missing something, but I would appreciate any help. I am using XML Publisher 5.5 to create a RTF template that will essentially do a dump of all data in my XML file. The XML file contains multiple identical tags at different levels in the hierarchy, similar to this:

I am creating a table for each Person, with a sub-table for each Record (there are multiple Records for each Person); with a sub-table for each Award. When I attempt to create a sub-table for the Level group which is the immediate child of Record, my results include all Level items (the children of Record and the children of Award) . In your XML structure AWARD is a child of RECORD. Under AWARD you have SOURCE and 2 LEVEL tags.
LEVEL is a child of AWARD and not RECORD.

Interesting problem with XML data populating CFGRID

Greetings all,
I ran into an issue yesterday and I'm not sure how to resolve it. I have an XML file I load to my MSSQL 2005 database, from there I populate my CFGRID with the fields from the database table, pretty straightforward right?
It is until I realized the customer name appears to have a comma, so it looks like this: Smith, John
It appears Cold Fusion (cfGrid?) is looking at the comma as a delimeter and taking the value after the comma and putting it into the next column, basically shoving everything to the right.
When I view the data in MSSQL Management Studio, it displays fine. Does CF get the recordset from the database as a comma delimeted list? Is this a known bug within CF?
I need to fix it obviously but I'm not sure if it's easier to do it from within CF or when I load the XML file into the database.
Any thoughts or guidance would be appreciated.

It appears I have found my own solution...........ListChangeDelims and it works great. It removed
the comma from my text aligning everything correctly.

How to clear cache for XML data source?

Hi All,
I'm facing a problem loading XML data into Oracle using Oracle Data Integrator. The problem is ODI will cache the data of the XML file at the first time loading the data. And afterwards, when the XML file changed, ODI will load data from the cache.
I did serveral testing on this. If I run the interface in local agent of the designer, I must restart the designer to clear the cache. If I run the interface in an agent, I must restart the agent to clear the cache.
Below is my configuration:
ODI version: 10.1.3.5.0
The technology of the source: XML.
JDBC driver: com.sunopsis.jdbc.driver.xml.SnpsXmlDriver
Does anybody know how to clear the cache of the agent or XML?

Use drop_on_disc or dod in your JDBC URL .
example ,
jdbc:snps:xml?f=C:\mutation.xml&d=C:\mutation.xsd&lf=C:\mutation.log&ro=true&dod=yes
The dod (drop_on_disc) drop automatically the schema when closing the JDBC connection.
dod option must be the last option of the URL.
This option removes the reference to the schema from the driver, and if the schema is store in memory, it also drops the schema. If the schema is stored in an external database (set via db_props), the driver tries to drop the database schema.

How to merge XML-Data of two variables of different namespace?

Hi all,
I am facing a problem manipulating XML data in a BPEL process. As I didn't get any response on my question in the BPEL forum, I decided to post it again in this forum. I am not very familiar with using XML up to this moment, so please don't blame me if this turns out to be a stupid question.
I have to combine information coming from 2 different sources (1st delivered by BPEL-client input "FileInfo", 2nd delivered by a ftp-adapter "FileData") for passing it to another service.
So there are 3 XSDs (2 in, 1 out), each with a different namespace. As every structure is composed of several elements, I don't want to copy them one by one. But when copying a whole node including child elements, the target structure yields empty nodes, because the target child elements maintain the source namespace!
Using 2 XSLT's works well for each input, but in combination, the last transformation deletes the information of the first one.
So, the only way to merge the data I figured out by now, is to use a XSLT for each input, transforming it into 2 separate Variables belonging to the same namespace and then copying the complete nodes of the two variables into the target (which of course belongs to the common namespace as well).
Although there is an inconsistent indexing of the namespaces (see example), happily all data can be accessed.

Having full control of the namespaces in this case, I could think of using one namespace for all XSDs too. But would this be a better solution? Is there a golden rule on using namespaces relating to design issues?

Well, if you only want to change namespace (no other changes) I would use a single generic XSL that changes the namespace for any XML document into a given target namespace, keeping the rest. That will require two transformation calls, but only one XSL. I'm afraid I don't have an example available, but if you google perhaps you can find it, I have seen it somewhere.
Normally when you have different namespaces the contents differ as well, though, and what you really want is a merge function. There is a way to pass two documents into a single XSL and that is to use parameters. You pass one source document the normal way and assign the other converted to a string to a paramter. You must use an assign with processXSLT in BPEL, not a transform activity. The processXSLT really takes three arguments and the third contains the parameters. Now to the difficulty - in the transformation you need to change the string into a nodeset (an XML document). In the current XPath version used by the platform there is no nodeSet function, but it is possible to write one in Java. If you have it you can select from both documents while building the third. I don't have an example handy and yes it is a bit messy as well, but much of the work only has to be done once and can be reused in other processes.

XML..: Problem getting the data in the XML-file..

I'm developing a flash-file for my customer to use when
displaying list of products he's selling.
His list of products is inside a XML-file and he want me to
display an overview of the products inside a datagrid, so when you
click on the product you're interested in the productinfo will be
displayed.
But.. I'm having problems grabbing the data I want as it
seems to me that I have to use the unik ID's for each products to
get the data I want. I've tried adding the unik ID-code to my
action script but it still won't work.

When you trace (TooldataInput.Store); you get all the tools
at that store. But how do I trace only one tool using the unikID??

When using E4X if you have multiple nodes at the same level
you should be able to access them as an XMLList. Looking at your
XML you should be able to access each <Tool> node as:
TooldataInput.Store.Tool[0];
TooldataInput.Store.Tool[1];
or as an entire list
TooldataInput.Store.children()
