Problem releasing webservice for runtime in non-modifiable client

Hi
   I created a webservice definition ( virtual interface & all dependent objects )  in a development client ( client- A ) of a ECC5.0 instance.
Now, we have another client ( client-B ) in the same server that we want to release the webservice for SOAP runtime. ( reason is that the webservice is not available at runtime in this client-B client )
This client-B has status - non-modifiable and hence cannot use WSCONFIG --> create option to release it for runtime.
How do we release this webservice definition to client - B . I tried a SCC1 transaction on client-B pointing to the transport that contains the WS definition in client-A. I got dictionary errors indicating that the WS definition objects are all client independent.
Is there something I am missing ? Any thoughts/similar experiences shared is appreciated.

Good to hear it worked out for you. But like I already said, I haven't experienced anything like this, but for similar problems this is exactly what we did to solve it. But you're probably right, that this is no long term solution. There should be another way of doing this, but no experience in that field expertise.

  • Calling a webservice(JAX-RPC) from non java client ?

    Hi,
    I read JAX-RPC is used for accessing webservices by calling the webservice methods from a java-based client.
    Is it possible to call the Webservice methods(writeen using jax-rpc) from a non-java client,who sends his request in the form of SOAP based calls?
    If JAX-RPC is not the correct one to call a RPC from a non-java client,In what way i can do this?
    Can anyone please clarify my doubt..,
    Thanks in Advance
    Rao.,

    Hi Arun,
    Can i write a my client program using cgi scripts?
    In the JAX-RPC docs it was said that i can invoke my Webservices through my Service endpoints or using WSDL location?
    If iam using a Non-java Client,it will be easier(I think) to use the WSDL file to call the Web-Service(deployed using JAX-RPC).But,the Client should be aware of that WSDL file.
    I have to develop a small Application using webServices(must use XML,SOAP technologies).The user will pass some Parameters as request and the Response should be an XML(SOAP message) message.User should be able to request via browser.(http://localhost:8080/)
    Can you please suggest me which technology is correct to use,so that i can use the XML,SOAP in it.
    Please let me know...,
    thank you once again..,

  • Problem calling WebService from VisualComposer model at runtime

    Hello Experts,
    I have a very simple model with form as input for calling Webservice on backend system and a table as output.
    During the runtime the WebService call is failing with:
    Error while getting the backend function : Could not find operation Z_EAI_GETUSERROLES_WS.ZEaiGetuserroles
    The service definition is succesfully published to CE's ServiceRepository.
    There is a correct entry for backend system under SOA->Destination Template Management in CE NWA.
    I can succesfully test this WebService in WSNavigator in both systems - CE and backend.
    I can succesfully test this WebService in NWDS at design time (by right-clicking on service)
    In Logs Viewer I can see the following entries:

    Can you please advise me what else I need to check to solve this error?
    Best Regards,
    Artsiom Anichenka

    Hi Artsiom ,
    I don't know VC and how it is on CE 7.3, but when developing Java Webdynpro application using CE 7.11 on same principle (with destination template defined in NWA), we sometimes faced almost same situation due to cache problem...
    Basically, this happen if you deploy your application using a model, change your webservice (for example adding a new field), re-import the model in NWDS and re-deploy. In NWDS, everything seems to be ok, but at runtime, it fails due to cache problem which is not refreshed with the new meta data definition. The only solution in 7.11 was to restart the server. I think (but not sure) that starting 7.2, there is a tool to clean the (webservice) cache.
    I hope it could help...
    Regards
    Olivier

  • CS5.5 Import for runtime sharing and preview problem

    Hello
    I'm having a strange issue with CS5.5 and the import for runtime sharing settings. Here's what I'm doing: I create two .fla's, Export.fla and Import.fla. In Export.fla, I create a shape, select it, press F8 and tick export for runtime sharing, to create a really simple exported movie clip. I click the exported symbol in the library, press Ctrl-C, switch to Import.fla and press Ctrl-V. Everything ok so far, the symbol is imported for runtime sharing.
    The first problem I have at this stage is that changes I do to the exported symbol in Export.fla are not reflected in Import.fla, only in the final .swf's I can see the changes. Also, unlike in CS4 and CS5 I cannot "Update" the imported symbol in the library right-click menu, to make changes to Export.fla visible in Import.fla. The menu entry is just greyed out...
    So I tried to use Authortime sharing, in the Symbol Properties for the imported symbol in Import.fla. I link the source to the symbol in Export.fla, and once I do that, everything is completely borked. The previously imported symbol is no longer imported. Whenever it is changed in Export.fla, it gets an "Export for Runtime Sharing" tick in its Properties in Import.fla, and worst, it is not shared at runtime, like I need it to.
    Can anyone tell me how to get the "normal" CS/4/5 behaviour in CS5.5: a runtime shared symbol, that can be updated in Import.fla (I dont care if manually or auotmatically) when I change it in Export.fla, and which also is runtime shared?
    Cheers
    Ulf

    Hi, JonnyDiamond
    Thank you for reporting the issue for runtime sharing settings affected by authortime sharing. It is fixed for parent symbols in Flash Pro CS6, but we just recognized it is not for nested items.
    As an alternative to deleting and re-copying the symbol, we see the following steps restore the original settings of the nested bitmap symbol (png in your case) for importing runtime shared library. After you open Bitmap Properties dialog of the bitmap symbol, go to ActionScript section and:
    1. Uncheck Export for ActionScript
    2. Check Import for runtime sharing
    3. Input the path to Library.swf in URL
    4. Click OK twice
    Please try these steps to see if they work for you. If they do, the simalr steps can be processed via JSFL script. It would be something like this:
    //// To restore the settings to import runtime shared library //////
    // Get Library items
    var myItems = fl.getDocumentDOM().library.items;
    // Store an item from myItems
    var myItem;
    // Path to runtime shared library. Change this to your path
    var pathToRSL = "Library.swf";
    // Go through Library
    for (var i = 0; i < myItems.length; i++)
              myItem = myItems[i];
      // Change the condition to suit to your Library
              if(myItem.itemType == "bitmap" &&
                 myItem.name.split(".").pop() == "png" &&
                 myItem.linkageExportForRS == true )
        switchRSSettings(pathToRSL);
    // Disable Export for runtime sharing and
    // enable Import for runtime sharing
    function switchRSSettings(path)
              myItem.linkageExportForRS = false;
              myItem.linkageExportInFirstFrame = false;
              myItem.linkageExportForAS = false;
              myItem.linkageImportForRS = true;
              myItem.linkageURL = path;
    ///////////////////////// End of Script ////////////////////
    We hope this would help you workaround the issue. Again, thank you for your report!
    Thanks
    Toshi

  • Client Settings non modifiable for  ob52, ob58 etc

    Certain objects in the IMG need to be modifiable in all our clients, specifically transaction OB58 (maintain financial statement version).
    Currently, any updates to the standard financial statement (for example, when a new G/L account is created and it does not fall in an existing range) have to be made in the config client and transported across.  However, the Financial statement version is not real config, nor is it master data, and we should be able to update it as and when G/L accounts are created.
    We can do this in Production but not in our QA clients (it says the client is non modifiable), Production client is also non modifiable but the client role is 'Production', so I presume this client role allows the changes in the operation client.
    Is there anyway to modify these in a client that is non modifiable such as our QA and testing clients with making the client modifiable?
    We are running ECC 5 on NW04.

  • 4/14/2015 - Release - AIR 17 Runtime and SDK

    Today we're pleased to announce that the next version of AIR is available for immediate download.  AIR 17 adds both new features and important bug fixes for both desktop and mobile platforms!
    Below are some of the key features and benefits of AIR 17.  Please see our release notes for full details.
    New Features:
    ADT Packaging time Improvement with Support for Parallel Compilation for iOS
    AIR 16 introduced support for compilation and packaging of iOS applications for both 32 bit and 64 bit platforms. With this improvement, we can now compile 32 and 64 bit architecture in parallel to cut packaging times up to 50 percent.
    Stage3D - Standard Extended Profile for Mobile
    In recent releases of the Runtime we've added support for Standard and Standard Constrained Stage3D profiles.  With AIR 17 we're adding a new Standard Extended Profile for iOS and Android devices that support GLES3.  Availability of the “standardExtended" profile indicates the availability of AGAL3. The same profile name can then be used in requestContext3D and requestContext3DMatchingProfiles methods of Stage3D.
    The “standardExtended” profile requires OpenGL ES 3.0 which is present on many high end smartphones and tablets. AGAL3 increases register limits for vertex attributes, fragment constants and tokens. While we're focusing on mobile first, we anticipate bringing this functionality to the desktop in a future update.
    To assemble the new AGAL, update AGALMiniAssembler.as (AGAL v3) from https://github.com/adobe-flash/graphicscorelib/.
    VideoTexture Support in AIR for Windows, Mac and iOS
    We've introduced a new ActionScript feature that allows hardware accelerated video to be used as a source texture in a Stage3D environment. Currently, using video with Stage3D requires the use of the Video object, which is not accelerated, and manipulation of the bitmap representations of the video frames. This new feature, called VideoTexture, allows direct access to a texture object that is sourced from a Netstream or Camera object. As of the first Flash Player 17 this feature is back and now available on AIR Mac, Windows and iOS.  Look for Android support in an upcoming release.  Please see the VideoTexture blog post for implementation details.
    Fixed Issues:
    [iPhone 6 +] if Landscape image is not provided for iphone 6+, Stretched Portrait launch image is displayed when application is launched in landscape mode. (3945056)
    [iPhone 6+][Upside down]: Inverted launch image is displayed, if device is kept at upsidedown position and AO is portrait and AR true. (3945046)

    Sometimes the release version has a later build number than the last beta we received, which in a way can be even worse than if the build is the same. The thing that has caused some confusion is that a few posts here have been answered with "we've fixed that and it will be in the next build", and the next build turned out to be the same as the previous build.
    So, I think the truth is that those things are fixed in the next build that appears on labs, and the release one doesn't count as a new beta build. I don't know when the next labs build will be.

  • Webservices for real time job.

    Hi all,
    I have configured a real time job that is available as a web service. There was no problem for the first time. However I wanted to change some of the input and output fields on the real time job.
    So i modified the real time job in the Designer.
    I removed and created the Real time service in the administrator. I have also renamed the Real Time SErvice.
    I recreated the webservice for the renamed real time service.
    However I am still getting the "old" wsdl with the old real-time service name.
    Seems like the WSDL is not updated.
    Am i missing out any steps to "refresh" the wsdl?
    Thank you.

    which version if DI ?
    the WSDL should get updated once you add the Real time Service to the Webservice
    do you see the Real time service in the WebService status page ?
    click on View WSDL, it will open the WSDL in IE, do a find for the service name in that

    Has anyone any idea what the problem could be
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    You need to first check which TranportOrder ID was not getting released on the server .
    Then fire the below query to find the changelists associated with that TransportOrder in the ARS database-
    select * from changelist where state <>0 and transportorderid ='<Name of that Transport Order ID>'
    Then follow these steps -
    1. Stop the Transport Agent in Source repository.
    2. Cleanup the blobs from WBTRCL, WBTRBLOB, WBTRBSEG tables
       in ars repository for the changelists, which were associated with
    that specific transport order.
    DELETE FROM WBTRCL WHERE CLID = <cHANGELIST ID> (GIVE WITHOUT 0X)
    DELETE FROM WBTRBSEG WHERE CLID = <cHANGELIST ID> (GIVE WITHOUT 0X)
    DELETE FROM WBTRBSEG WHERE CLID = <cHANGELIST ID> (GIVE WITHOUT 0X)
    3. Use the transaction SMOBDELCL to remove details of this
       changelist from the CRM server. This transaction
       would require you to enter the id of the changelist.
       The id should be entered without 0x.
    4. Create a new change request in the CRM server and add these
    changelists to the change request.
    5. Steps 1-5 of Note 568624 can be followed for this but NOT steps
       6 and 7.DO NOT release the change request. There is no need to modify
       the TransportOrderId field in changelist table in ARS repository to
       reflect the new change request id.The field is there for
       documentation purpose only.
    6. Update the state of the changelist in ARS repository to 1 so that
       Transport Agent can pickup the changelist and send it to server as
       soon as it is started.
    Eg:
    UPDATE CHANGELIST SET STATE = 1 WHERE CHANGELISTID = <0XChangelistID>
    (GIVE WITH 0X)
    7. Start the Transport Agent on both Source repository.
    Also, you need to make sure that whenever you release a changelist from Mobile Application Studio then
    you should not chose this transport Order(which was not getting released earlier) while choosing the transport
    Order.

  • Release strategy for PR & PO

    Hi Sap gurus
    I have created release strategy  for PR & PO in development server.
    How do i create the same release strategy in quality & production .whether i have to create transport request from dev. or i have to create in quality & production?If i try to create a new strategy it will be in non editable mode.& shows client is not modifiable.
    plz help

    Hi,
    If you are talking about release strategy and release group it is transportable.
    Release class and Release characterstics are not transportable.
    You have to configure release class and characterstics in the target server individually.
    One thing more you have to give the characterstics value in each server after all the above steps.
    Regards
    Ankur

  • Problem accessing Webservices from Flex

    Hi All,
    I have created a Webservice in Abap and configured it using
    SOAMANAGER transaction. I am able to succesfully test the Web serivice which I have created in 'Soamanager ' transaction.
    But when I am calling this Webservice from Flex application I am getting an error as " FAULT : faultCode:WSDLError faultString:'Runtime exception Error #1009' faultDetail:'null' "
    We tried calling the Webservice  outside SAP from the FLex application, it is working fine.
    Please let me know how to rectify this error . It's an urgent requirement.
    Thanks and regards,
    Uma.

    hi
      when you create your destinations for your webservices in the SOAMANAGER-> Destination Template
      you would be providing wsdl url and destination , and in the below you can
      find the username and pwd that need to set , you need to select the radio buttons with logon tickets ,
    username , password , there , re-check the username and pwd by selecting the radio button with selecting the
    radio button username password ,  and even check the webservice in the WSNAVIGATOR , whether its working
    fine , and other thing is  there is situation where your webservice may work fine inthe wsnavigator  even then there would
    be some problem inthe webservice , even check this scenario.
    Thanks

    WARNING: This procedure involves moving, deleting, modifying, and copying system files and possibly sytem registry entries. If you make a mistake you can kill your system [I killed two of mine until I
    figured out the problem with the outdated GEAR drivers]therefore:
    1)Back up your entire system or better yet, get a cheapie new HD like Western digital 2 TB for $69-129 depending whether on sale or not and reinstall your system from scratch on the new drive. If
    computer kraps out you just put the old drive back in.
    2) Some of the procedures here may not be exactly what YOU see on YOUR specific model of computer. I've tried it on a COMPAQ sr1610nx with xp64, I've tried it on a Dell Alien with xp64, and on a
    Gateway GM5442, and will now try from scratch to format harddrive, load xp64, device drivers, OS service packs and patches, AVG free, flash, java, and itunes.
    3) I wrote these instructions down from memory. Read and understand entire procedure before you start. There is some troubleshooting you may need to do to make it work on your particular system. This
    procedure works on 3 different models of 64 bit cpus. One CPU is an INTEL(Gateway), one CPU is an AMD X2 64-bit 4800+ Toledo(Compaq sr1610ns), and the other is an AMD x2 64-bit 3500+(DELL Alien). This
    shows the capability exists on both Intel and AMD x64 architectures.
    4) The current version 10.6.3 will work with modifications(including syncing ipod with ios5 and syncing cd and dvdrom ).
    PROCEDURE: 1)Using you IE 64-bit browser download iTunes64Setup.exe from URL http://www.apple.com/iTunes/download/ to a new directory (For Example: ITUNES-1063-XPX64-TEST).

    3)Using your IE 64 browser download ORCA Editor at URL http://download.cnet.com/1770-20_4-0.html?query=Orca&tag=404&searchtype=download s .
    4) Using your IE 64 browser download 7-Zip at URL http://download.cnet.com/1770-20_4-0.html?query=7-Zip&platformSelect=&tag=srch&s
    earchtype=downloads&filterName=platform%3DWindows%2CMac%2CiOS%2CAndroid%2CWebwar e%2CMobile&filter=platform%3DWindows%2CMac%2CiOS%2CAndroid%2CWebware%2CMobile .
    5)Use 7-Zip to extract Itunes64Setup.exe into sub components.
    6)Use Orca to open and edit iTunes64.msi.
    7)Change Launch Condition from VersionNT64>=600 to VersionNT64>=501. Change ((VersionNT=501 AND ServicePackLevel>=2) OR VersionNT>501) to ((VersionNT=501 AND ServicePackLevel>=2) OR VersionNT>=501)

    14) Save and exit AppleApplicationSupport64.msi.
    15) Use Orca to open and edit Bonjour64.msi.
    16) Change Launch Condition from (VersionNT>=501 AND ServicePackLevel>=2) OR VersionNT>501 to (VersionNT>=501 AND ServicePackLevel>=2) OR VersionNT>=501
    18) Install itunes64.
    19) Shutdown and Reboot.
    20) Search your PC for GEAR*.*
    21) Delete all the files found that are deleteable.This will get rid of the bogus Gear drivers (Version 2.2.0.1 from 2008 and 2009) that iTunes installs.
    22) Run Gear drivers installer you downloaded earlier. This will load the correct Gear drivers (Version 2.2.2.0 [or 2.02.02.00- depending where you look in windows for the version number] from 2011 and
    2012 drivers versus defective 2008 and 2009 drivers). The Gear driver connects the cdrom to itunes for sync. The usbappl driver connects the iPod to itunes for sync (Via the USB).
    23) Ensure the file GEARAspiWDM.sys, usbaapl64.sys, also ksthunk.sys is in C:\Windows\system32\Drivers. If not search and locate these files. Then copy them to the correct directories Remember to set
    your More advanced options to Search system folders, Search hidden files and folders, and search subfolders.
    24) Now you must verify registry entry for UpperFilters exists and has GEARAspiWDM for value.
    25) Go to Start, then Run, then enter regedit, then OK. Select HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, then SYSTEM, then CurrentControlSet, then Control, then Class, then {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}, then
    UpperFilters, right mouse click and select modify, then verify the Value data has the entry GEARAspiWDM. If not go back to {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} and right mouse click select new, then
    Multi-String Value, then name it UpperFilters, right mouse click and select modify and enter GEARAspiWDM for Value data, select OK and close registry.
    26) Shutdown and reboot.
    27) Now you need to update the cdrom/dvd driver and the USB driver.
    28) Go to Start, then Control Panel, then System, then Hardware, then Device Manager, select DVD/CD-ROM drives, select Don't search. I will choose the driver to install, then select Next, ensure Show
    compatible hardware is checked. Select CD-ROM as the driver, then Next, then Finish.
    29) Shutdown and reboot.
    30) Start computer, plug in iPod to USB, wait for windows to detect the device, probably detected as a camera. Go to Control Panel, then System, then Hardware, then Device Manager, and find the iPod.
    31) Right mouse click and select Properties, then Driver.
    32) Select Update Driver, then select Install from a specific location (Advanced), then Next, then select Don't search, I will choose the driver to install, then select Next, ensure Show compatible
    hardware box is checked, select USB driver for iPod, then Next, then Finish.
    33) Shutdown and Reboot.
    34) Start iTunes. Ignore the message iTunes was not properly installed. If you wish to import or burn CDs you need to reinstall iTUnes (This message comes from the device driver install failure for the
    cdroms because the current Itunes installer still contains the bogus outdated Gear drivers). Select OK.
    35) Now Itunes should work.

  • Crowdsource release notes for 7.1 (or: Let's play ...

    All,
    Since Skype does not supply us with release notes for their updates, we will need to play "spot the difference" and see if we can see if anything changed from 7.0 to 7.1.
    (Note: please don't complain here about things that haven't changed - it's much better to do that over in the 7.0 UI thread, which I predict is about to explode.)
    Here are the only two things I could see:
    You can now resize the input box vertically
    Focus returns to the input box on Alt+TAB
    [EDIT] And here's one thing you can't see:
    The magic runes /setupkey *Lib/Conversation/EnableWiki 0 now disable text formatting permanently
    [EDIT] And non-UI things:
    Can now interoperate with Lync video calls.
    File bandwidth problems reportedly fixed.

    The most important fixes in the 7.1 version are several bug fixes.
    The issue with broken API call events is fixed.
    Deleted contacts can again be found using the Search option
    According to Skype, the issue when 7.0 was crashing on reading data from certain BIOS models should be fixed too. However, this is yet not confirmed by affected users.
