Problem running Ensemble on Windows 7

Hello,
I am reading documentation in an effort to learn more about JavaFX. I came to a point where I wanted to use Ensemble in order to explore the available components and techniques.
This is where I ran into a wall. Running this url in Chrome or Internet Explorer only gives a preloader: http://download.oracle.com/otndocs/products/javafx/2.2/samples/Ensemble/index.html
I then downloaded the samples at http://download.oracle.com/otn-pub/java/javafx/2.2.0-b21/javafx_samples-2_2_0-windows.zip
There I tried dragging the Ensemble.html into one of the browsers: same result. Double clicking the 'Ensemble.jnlp' file yields a 'hs_err_pid####.log' file. Running it from the console using 'java -jar Ensemble.jar' also gives a log file and the following error on screen:

I have tried with both 64 and 32 bit Java versions. I used the latest version available at time of writing: 7.0_06
Do you have any idea what I can try next in order to get this running?

Yes, as I said in my previous post, I ran it from the command line. Thats where the error I posted came from.
I did download the latest video drivers, it did not help.
Just a moment ago I uninstalled all java related stuff and installed 7 update 5. With quite some effort (and some help from google) I managed to get the [Ensemble app for 2.1.1|http://www.prodefence.org/index.php/topic/5013-javafx-211/] . That one starts without a problem, which means I can continue my exploration for now.
Tomorrow evening I will take the time to gather extra information and file a bug at the Jira you mentioned.

Problem running app in windows 2003 server

I have a java application running in w2000 and j2re1.4.2_03 and works fine, i change the server version to win 2003 and j2re1.4.2_03, and after a time the application is closed without a java error, i seek in the even log of the server and get this anyone have a similiar error? or a clue to fix the problem? thanks and have a nice day

you have to have apple product to make your apple id turn into an icloud apple id,. that makes it usable on the computer..

Wondering what problems there are, if any, running iTunes on Windows 8.

Yes, I had found a similar solution also. I'm running XP Pro, SP3. I went Control Panels/ Add-Remove programmes/apple software update/ change/ repair. Then run the 10.5 exe.
While the programme updated from version 8 of iTunes, my new iTunes is now a mess. Not all of my music was in the same folder previously but it all showed up on iTunes. Now many albums have been left out, some have only a few tracks and some have two copies of some tracks as well as having other tracks missing. I haven't begun to work on that.

Repair your Apple Sofyware update.
Go to START/ALL PROGRAMS/Apple Software Update. If it offers you a newer version of Apple Software Update, do it but Deselect any other software offered at the same time. Once done, try another iTunes install

Problem to run executable in windows 7 64.

I developed an application using labview 8.5. Created an executable from it.
In windows XP i installed the labview runtime engine 8.5 and visa runtime and my EXE worked fine.
Tried the same on windows 7 64 and my application hangs the PC, tried the latest visa runtime with no success.
I basically uses a serial port (com 1) to comunicate witha device.
Tried to run it as windows xp compatible, same problem.
Any ideas?

Problems running Weblogic 6.1 Server on Pentium 4 with Windows XP

Hi everyone.
I've got a problem. I'm trying to run Weblogic 6.1 Server on Pentium 4 with Windows
XP as OS, and when I try to work with the console the system restarts and get
an error message in which I can read something like "big error on the system".
Does anybody know if there is any problem between WebLogic Server and Pentium
4 or Windows XP?

There could be a 32 bit vs 64 bit issues-is the old machine a 32 bit? and what is the new machine as far as 32/64 bit. I am not sure now if CS5 has in the help menu of the PS app the selection to update within PS if so that might work. I know that the Creative cloud app for installs updates etc has caused me much consternation over the last couple few years. Last it could be something like your Software firewall settings or anti-virus anti malware programs. It turned out that my ide was running the old jar and not updating it, so no matter what code i added, it wasn't being seen. Everything should be fine now.

Problem with games in windows

I'm having a problem running games, and I can't figure out why it's happening or how to fix it. I'm using a base model Macbook, about three weeks old, running Windows XP Home...first with SP2, now with SP3. I had gb of RAM, but I dropped it back down to the stock RAM to see if maybe a bad stick was causing the problem. No performance drop in the games, so I'm leaving it that way for the time being. This is my second Macbook, and my first was replaced due to a pletora of other problems. It didn't do this, though.
Randomly in games, I get a blue screen and the computer shuts down. This is the error I get:
Error code 000000ea = "THREADSTUCK_IN_DEVICEDRIVER" - A device driver is spinning in an infinite loop, most likely waiting for hardware to become idle. This usually indicates problem with the hardware itself, or with the device driver programming the hardware incorrectly. In many cases this is the result of a bad video card or a bad display driver.
Mainly the game I'm running is Phantasy Star Universe, which worked perfectly fine on my old Macbook, which was also a base model, but a couple generations older. It had the Intel GMA 950 chipset, where the newer one has the Intel GMA 965 chipset. The game actually runs slightly worse than it did on the old machine, but the game by no means pushes the Macbook to it's limits. Anyway, from anywhere between 10 to 40 minutes into the game, it'll blue screen. It's not just this game, though, it's done it elsewhere, but not nearly as frequently as when playing the game. I also have to point out that I don't run anything else when playing the game. I intentionally shut down everything that's not important when I run games, to avoid any conflicts.
I've tried a number of different versions of Intel's drivers, and played with the settings, gradually downgrading it's performance. I've tried re-intalling the game, changing settings in the game, reinstalling windows, updating windows, changing my ram. I'm grasping at straws here, and I don't know what's to blame. I want to point my finger at bad drivers, or bad hardware. I' blame the game if it behaved the same way on my old Macbook. I initially thought it was the game, because it kept happening in the same areas, but I proved it to be coincidence. The hardware isn't THAT different. From what I've been told, the graphics chipset in the newer Macbook should perform a lot better than it does, but Intel's drivers are kind of...blah. But are they blah enough to cause chronic issues? If it IS a driver issue, at this point the only solution is to wait for Intel to update them and hope the problem is fixed. I'm extremely paranoid about it being a hardware issue, due to my experience with my old Macbook.

Just a thought, but what if its spyware or a trojan horse?/Virus?

Problem with iTunes in Windows XP

I am having a problem loading iTunes in Windows XP service pack 2. Every time I click on it, it seems to load for a little while, and then a window pops up saying "iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close". When I clicked on the details tab, it showed me a bunch of stuff I couldn't understand. Here's what it said:

How do I get iTunes to work right?

The first question, Have you installed any of the following:
ACE & K-Lite mega codecs package, QT alternative, Storm codec, WinAVI video converter
These are know to cause troubel with Quicktime and must be uninstalled before proceding.
It is also a good idea to go to your Control Panel and try to launch QUicktime preferences - you need to be in classic view to see it.
Post any error message in full. This error message can give a clue to the presence of problem codecs if you are not sure.
Next do a removal of Quicktime with installer cleanup, followed by an install of the latest version.
I will give a method for complete removal, cleanup and reinstall of iTunes, Quicktime and related components, but in your case it may be possible to just do the QUicktime part. Don't forget to delete the recommended files from your system32 folder.

Remove any references you find to the programs you removed - strictly speaking you only need to worry about those programs where the uninstall failed.
restart your PC
Install the stand alone Quicktime and check that it works.
If it does, install iTunes.
