Problem seeing site on tablet

I have published a site to the businesscatalyst.com site as I work on it. I can go to it on a computer but when I try on my tablet it has the template that I used and does not seem to update.
Any ideas of why or what I can do?

Hello,
I belive you want to get rid of tablet template view in tablet.
If you do not wish to see the template in tablet view you have 2 options
Option 1:
Delete the tablet layout from plan view.
Option 2:
Stop redirect from desktop for tablet.
File > Site Properties > Tablet > UnCheck "Redirect from Desktop"
Republish the site and you will be all set.

Problem seeing images using Firefox

I have a problem seeing images when using Firefox. I can see them at first, but when i scroll down they dissappear until I get to a certain point on the screen (like when the images are at the top of the firefox screen) then I can see them. Was wondering if anyone knew what the problem could be?

from the system details you've submitted it appears that you have the foxit reader pdf plugin on your system - it's known to cause problems with hotmail since firefox 12. disable it in firefox > addons > plugins until there's an update by foxit which fixes the issue

Having problem seeing "notes"

I am having a problem seeing the notes I put on my Nano. I am composing and saving in TextEdit, but have been unable to save files in .txt, as specified in the Nano manual. When I did save using .txt, I got a warning saying I would also have to use .rtf. The files are saving, but I can't actually see their contents.
On my Nano, "enable disc use" is greyed out, but checked. The online documentation says this is O.K. and means the Nano disc is enabled.
Please let me know what I'm doing wrong. I really think the notes capability is a great feature. I want to use it.

That means that you are using fonts, formatting, and/or other features that are not part of *'plain text'*, TextEdit then advises to save as rtf. Just get rid of anything that is not text, and save it like the manual says.

Problems with site definition in CS5

I am trying to define a new site in DW CS5. When I enter the site information in the dialogue box I get the following message:
The spry assets folder is not inside the site. Please select a valid folder in your local site root.
The program automatically creates a folder for Spry assets but the error message still appears. I tried creating a new folder, but had the same results. I can't get past this screen. Why is this happening?

Thanks for your prompt response. The problem is, if I am defining a new site, there are no pre-existing folders. I am calling my site "HF", so Dreamweaver automatically chooses "/Users/Aaron/Documents/HF/SpryAssets" as the default folder for spry assets. If I use the "browse for folder" icon, I can select another folder, but what else would I choose? (I tried choosing other folders, as well as creating a new folder, and neither worked).I'm really stumped!

Yes, it's an annoying bug. In the Site Definition dialog, go to the Advanced > Spry tab and use the "browse for folder" dialog to select your SpryAssets folder and it will fix the path for you.

Problem seeing portal pages in 'view' mode

Hi,
We have a Portal 3.0.8.9.8 instance and are having problems 'seeing' pages.
We can log into Portal fine, and we can see the pages in customize/edit mode. But when we hit 'Close' (from the Customize view) or 'View' (from the Portal home page), the page attempts to display, but there is a banner on the top half of the page with a Back link, and then the top of our page(s). Nothing else.
Also, if we click the Navigator icon (from the Portal home page), we get an error dump, which shows errors in the wwpob_page procedure.
Anyone have any ideas?

Did the product install correctly? Can you check your install logs. I have not heard of this type of problem before, it seems like you have an incomplete install.

Problems with phone and tablet version and presentation images

pointing out That We Already have published a website designed with Adobe Muse, about two months ago, without finding any kind of problem, for this reason we believe That the problem does not depend on us
1. the site properly sets in three versions (desktop, tablet and phone) and visible only in the desktop version Also from smartphones and tablets.
2. all photos included in the 'presentations' or galleries poprie the program does not display it in local preview it after publication.
note: we use the exported files in html and uploaded in our domain
you can redraw the program to see if the update was performed to Muse DC Correctly or use the old version Which at least gave no problems with image galleries?

The problem I am having is this: The phone and message portion of my palm stopped working. I called my provider and they told me I needed a new sim card. I got a new one and put it in and still experienced the problem. It was a complete stoppage. I could call one out of 10 tries and a message or two came through but late. I then called Palm and they walked me through a hard reset and the phone started working, ...but only for the evening. Now again it is at the same place. I have hard reset it several times and occasionally it will work once or twice after that. ....

Problems with animations on tablet version

I've been having problems with the tablet version of my site. I want it to work in a tablet version as well as it works on the desktop, because my site is for kids and so many kids use tablets now, so it is important to me. I have 3 Edge Animate little animations. One works perfectly, one only part of the animation even appears, and the third does not appear at all. Can you try placing the edge animate files on a regular web page outside of Muse and see if it works on your tablet? If it does, please send the edge animate files in with your muse file to [email protected] Also, include the tablet type and OS version. cheers, Justin

Widget background transparency problem - see my example

I recently put up a new web site that I built in iWeb and am having a problem with a form that I inserted into the home page as an html snippet. One layer contains a quotation bubble, and over it lays the form. It appears correctly in every browser I tested on Mac and Windows except for IE7 for Windows. In IE7 a white box appears behind the form. Anyone know how I can correct this? You can see examples at http://www.rathappy.com/problem/ . The web site itself is http://www.rathappy.com .

Thanks, I tried your fix this morning and was totally surprised when it didn't work. I was still getting a white box around the graphic. After messing with things for a while I finally gave up and put the form in a box, nixing the graphic. I made my box green and about the same size as the white one to cover it up. http://www.rathappy.com
Yes, web design can be frustrating at times. I'm from the world of Macs where things do what they're supposed to do 99% of the time, but the reality is that we have to build for the majority: Windows IE users.

Cisco 3905 problem / remote site

Information:
I have CUCM 8.6.2.20000-2 and many Cisco IP Phone 3905 (SIP). Some of them deployed in central office and some in remote sites.
Phone information:
Boot Version: 3905.0-0-0-01-01
DSP Version: 12.0.0.8
Application: 3905.9-2-2-0
Symptoms:
In remote sites only!
The phone is registered and working fine. However, after few hours idle state I lift the handset, dial any number and nothing happens. Drop the call and try again 2-3 times. After that either call passed or get permanent busy tone (need to reboot the phone to work again).
The phone is marked as registered on CUCM and I hear dial tone when lifted the handset.
I cannot collect debug messages from phones, because as soon as I login via telnet it going work fine.
There is no such problem in central office.
Phones print following messages in terminal all the time:

There are 2 versions of firmware on cisco.com. cmterm-3905.9-2-1-0 is the default firmware going with CUCM 8.6.2.20000-2 for 3905 phones and cmterm-3905.9-2-2-0 I've installed recently. Both versions of firmware with same problems.

Problem uploading site to server by FTP - index page is blank

Hi,
I made my site in I web which works fine when simulating it in a local folder. When uploading by FTP to the server from a host where a rent my domain the program starts sending the files, but in the end it says publication error, try again later or contact your server provider.
I did contact the server provider and they do receive the pages that I am sending BUT:
- everything appears to end up at the wrong place in the server
- the index page that is sent with the other files appears to be empty, blank which results in the server not be alble to order the site and a white empy page is shown when opening my site on the internet.
I checked the html files which are all fine and when I send those to the server provider they seem all ok. But the index.html file is also empty on my computer. Is this normal?
My first page is called 'home' and we had tried to rename that home.html file to index.html and again upload the whole site. The result is that I can now see my homepage when opening the site on the internet but without the index on top (the names of the other pages where you can click to go to another page on the site) and that is it.
Can someone help me with this? Is this a problem with Apple, shoud the index.html file be blank? Or can they change settings in the server to solve this problem.

iWeb was originally designed as a foolprof way to create websites and upload them to MobileMe.
Normally, the first, or Home, page of a website is named "index" since an index.html is required in the root folder of the server for everything to work as planned.
To stop us rookies screwing things up, and to overcome the limitations of a single MobileMe user account, the developers packaged the site files in a folder with the same name as the sitename in iWeb.
The top site in iWeb has an external index file which rediredts to the Home page so that it can be reached by the URL...

Any other sites are uploaded as sub sites and require the addition of the folder name in the URL...

When you are uploading to a server other than MobileMe, you have two choices of publishing methods...

Problems with site displaying in different browsers

I have made this site in dreamweaver CS3 using one of the default templates when you make a new documents. On Safari and Firefox (and I think on recent IE browsers as well) it looks fine, however on IE6 and IE7 it messes up completely, and the content in the middle frame is pushed right down to the bottom of the page. I have tried a number of different things to fix the problem, but I have no idea what is causing the issue, so its difficult to troubleshoot! Any help with this would be massively appriciated!

Unfortunately you have paid the penalty for using one of the templates which ships with Dreamweaver. They are amongst the most awfully constructed pieces of shite I have ever come across. They are not written for the novice to understand but by some twatt that has their head up their arse.
Now I'm going to give you a few simple steps (which Adobe should have f_cking done before they released these pieces of crap) which will provide a stable approach.
Step 1) Move your 'mainContent' <div> to directly after the end of your sidebar1 </div>. You can do this by selecting the 'mainContent' <div> tag at the bottom of Dreamweaver design view then switching to code view where you will see all of its code selected. Cut the code.
Step 2) Go back into Dreamweaver design view and next select the 'sidebar1' <div> tag along the bottom of the window. Now switch back to code view and scroll down the page until you come to the end of the highlighted section of code i.e. (the end of the sidebar1 <div>)
Step 3) Place your mouse cursor right after the closing </div> tag of the 'sidebar1' <div> and paste back in the 'mainContent' <div>.
Step 4) Amend the css in your css style sheet for the 'mainContent' css selector to as below:

margin-left: 14px;
display: inline;
background-color: #000000;
width: 404px;
Thats it!
Don't worry about IE6 no-one much uses that anymore.

Problems Viewing Site in IE

Hey, I seem to have come across a problem with my site. While it looks great in both Safari and Firefox (Mac OS X and Windows XP), it has some problems when being viewed by Internet Explorer (I've only tried with IE 6, I don't know about 7). Can anyone think of maybe why this might be? Here's one page where the difference is noticable, the IE version has what seems like a gray box over everything and the hyperlinks on the text seem like they are off.

Thanks! I can give that a try and see if it helps. With respect to the nagivation, I actually disabled the navigation bar (it's in the document part of the inspector), and that's just 3 rectangles (a large grey, 2 small white) with text over the top of it. The text is then hyperlinked to the corresponding page or web gallery. To me, it was just a lot cleaner setting it up like that than having every single page I made appear at the top. And to link to external pages (like my web gallery), open the inspector and go to the hyperlinks part of it (the very right). There should be a pull tab that has the options of "One of My Pages" and "External Pages". Put it on external pages and type in the URL address you want it to link to.

Inconsistent display of Muse site on tablet.

I have designed a site on Muse desktop, and when viewed on a tablet, the content shifts to the left and the navagation appears differently across other pages. I have one item pinned in the center, not the left. Here is a link ot the site, if you could take a look.

I am having the exact same problem with my mobile site. I have designed the master page with the menu and the footer. When I preview the page the menu has shifted to the top left hand corner. The footer text which in design view is on 2 lines is now on one line in preview mode. I don't have any empty boxes or frames any where on the page just the header, menu and footer text. Why is this happening? I have enclosed a screen capture of the problem below.
