Problem setting up the UCP Web Service

I am new to CISCO and my first project is to set up the UCP Web Service.  I don't have access to the web interface on ACS but I was told that acs config-web-interface ucp enable was run.
I have in the UCP file on tomcat
C:\Tomcat 7.0\webapps\ROOT\UCP
within the UCP file I have :
META-INF
pythonImport
pythonUCP
WEB-INF
index.jsp
wsdl.xml
With that set up I get to the index.jsp page.  When I put the information in I get the following error message:
HTTP Status 404 - /UCP/UcpServlet
type Status report
message /UCP/UcpServlet
description The requested resource (/UCP/UcpServlet) is not  available
I am sure I have done some sad and strange things.  Can someone point me in the right direction?  A simple stupid one at that...
Thank you so much

Hi,
Is there solution for this issue? I also have encounter similar problem:
An error occurred at line: [14] in the generated java file: [C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 7.0\work\Catalina\localhost\_\org\apache\jsp\indexacs_jsp.java]
Only a type can be imported. com.cisco.nm.acs.mgmt.common.version.VersionFileReader resolves to a package
An error occurred at line: 23 in the jsp file: /indexacs.jsp
VersionFileReader cannot be resolved
It's seems there is a missed library (VersionFileReader) for JSP, does anyone can guide me to find it?
Thanks,

where this error comes? In sender application usuing WSDL file?
Do check the URL it should be as per the standard.
You can also call WS from NWDS also. Else you can use SOAP client like Altova XML spy or something else.

    Hi,
I have a seibel web service which needs to be called from a SAP Webdynpro application. The URL is something like this.
    http://xxx.yyy.com:80/eai_enu/start.swe?SWEExtSource=SecureWebService&SWEExtCmd=Execute
I am using Adaptive Webservice model and without hardcoding this value i should be able to send the user name and password information to the webservice.
How i can achieve that. I am getting the error that,
<b>returned http code 500 (Internal Server Error) with unacceptable content type (text/html;charset=UTF-8).

<body>The server you are trying to access is either busy or experiencing difficulties. Please close the Web browser, open a new browser window, and try logging in again.[12:02:58]</b>
Siebel team was asked us to send the user/password info through SOAP header.
<b>Is there any way to set thatbusername/password info in NWDS (Basically set the SOAP Header) and if it is OK only if we can set it in the Webservices security in the Visual Administrator.</b>
    Appreciate your reply.

  • Problem defining a java client on tomcat to call the esb web service

    Dear Support,
I have a java program that has been incorporated on the oracle SOA suite. We now have a problem defining a java client on tomcat to call the esb web service. The Oracle SOA part is running fine”.
The software versions we are using :
1 - Oracle SOA suite on 10.1.3.3 Oracle AS
    2 – Java 1.5
    3 – Tomcat 5.5
    4 – OS XP Professional

If you have a main method in jour generated WSclient class (by the proxy) add the following code below the //add your own code:
    AddFileResponseType testResponse = myPort.addFile(testRequest);
where AddFileResponseType is the responsetype of the WS and addFile is the method to call. this is just an example of my own webservice.
Next stap is to put the cursor in the main method and choos debug or run.
This should invoke the main method en call the webservice
    I hope this helps you

  • Setting timeout in Oracle Web Service Callouts

We have a 10.1.0.4 Enterprise DB with dbwsclient.jar loaded. Currently using the database callouts. The problem is there seems to be no timeout when the called web service does not respond. I did not see a setting for the socket timeout in the code produced by JPublisher.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Where the properties need to be put and how can they be read really depends on how your Web Service is implemented. What is the WS based on - EJB, POJO, PL/SQL, JMS...?

  • GenericServiceFactory initialization problem when trying to load Web servic

    Hi,
I am making a Guided procedure that calls a webservice. I have created a new Destination Template and was able to load the webservice definition successfully, but when I test the callable object I created for that same webservice y get the error:
GenericServiceFactory initialization problem when trying to load Web service model for WSDL.
Somehow I think there is something wrong with the user authentication. The Destination template has a user and password but somehow I think the callable object test is not using this information at all.
    Can anyone help ?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Hans,
Have you verified if you can call any external web service calls from your J2EE engine?  Go into the SOA Management / Global settings (if you are on CE - if you're on 7.0 it's in manage WS desintations).
Look at your proxy settings and set them like your web browser that enables external calls.  For example, in the SAP network I set my global proxy settings on my local J2EE engine to be:
    Proxy host:  proxy
    Proxy port: 8080
    Exclude list:  *.sap.corp
Does that make sense - have you verified if your settings are correct for your company?

  • Major drawbacks of the adaptive web service model

    Hi,
we are developing a web dynpro application using web services as backend and chose the adaptive web service model as “client framework”.
Recently I ran into some major drawbacks and would like to here your opinion. At the moment I’m not sure if we shouldn’t change to some client framework like axis and use java bean model instead.
    The problems we discovered:
Problems with setting null to primitive types
In a complex type used in wsdl, a double attribute may be null. The model generates this attribute as double object (good - because double java type can not be null), but setting null to this attribute causes an exception:
com.sap.tc.webdynpro.model.webservice.base.exception.BaseModelRuntimeException: Must not assign null to primitive type 'double' of attribute ' someAttribute' in model class ' Complex'
    The wsdl looks like this:
    <xsd:complexType name="Complex">
    <xsd:element minOccurs="0" name="someAttribute" nillable="true" type="xsd:double">
    </xsd:complexType>
No support of web service exceptions!
If I create a Java implementation of a web service which throws checked exceptions in its methods, the WSDL  is generated accordingly.
A client framework like Axis generates client methods that throw such exceptions. The adaptive web service model doesn’t. The fault part of an message in wsdl is generated in the model classes but never filled after an error occurred. Can I retrieve the checked exception and its data somehow?
This is essential for our project!
Did I get something wrong? Are there commons solutions?
    Best regards
    Dominik

Yes I did. At the end of the cause chain theres a general exception (something like GeneralSoapFault). The message of this exception contains the full qualified name of my exception from the backend and the message.
But I can't find the checked exception. Properties are lost.
If I turn on the log and check the response I can see the xml contains the exception.

  • "The Java Web Services" - ant install

Hi, I recently downloaded "The Java Web Services" and "The Java Web Services Tutorial".
And I've reached the Creating the Build Properties File portion of the tutorial:
    http://java.sun.com/webservices/docs/1.0/tutorial/doc/GettingStarted2.html#73059
I'm using Windows ME and I have no idea where to put the build.properties file.
Can anyone give me any suggestions? I am successfully able to
    ant compile
    but I can't get
    ant install
to work once I have done the ant compile and I suspect this is because of me not having the build.properties file set... although it could be unrelated to that.
    when I try to use:
    ant install
I get the following error at the command prompt:
    C:\tim\programs\jwsdp-1_0\docs\tutorial\examples\gs\build.xml:46: java.io.IOExce
ption: Server returned HTTP response code: 401 for URL: http://localhost:8080/ma

    utorial%2Fexamples%2Fgs%2Fbuild
Now tomcat is running on the correct port (8080) and the directory being referenced in the above URL exists. Am I supposed to map tomcat to a particular file system or something?
    Thanks,
    Tim
PS I have another post in this forum (it contains only my first question concerning the build.properties file), so if you would like the Duke dollars for both posts, feel free to post in both threads and if your answer helps me out, I'll give you the Dollars from both threads.

  • Problem building schema - Siebel OnDemand Web Services

I'm trying to call a Siebel OnDemand Web Service from BPEL.
I've downloaded the Contact.wsdl from OnDemand and imported it into my project.
I've created a partner link and created variables for the input and output.
The problem is that JDeveloper cannot build the schemas defined in the wsdl.
If you try to copy a value to the Input variable, JDeveloper gives the error:
    Exception - Problem building schema!
You cannot navigate the schema path.
Does anyone know why this is happening?

I'm also trying to do this.
Some info from the Siebel web services guide:-
"The login request is an HTTPS request to instantiate a session and obtain a session ID. A client invokes login by sending an HTTP GET request to a URL like the following:
    https://secure.crmondemand.com/Services/Integration?command=login
NOTE: The login parameter value is case sensitive.
    ■ Login input. The input to login is provided in the URL parameters and the HTTP headers, as follows:
    ■ The only URL parameter to be set is command. This parameter value is login.
Two HTTP headers, UserName and Password, must be set with the appropriate values for your system. For example:
    ❏ UserName: [email protected]
    ❏ Password: mypass
    ■ Login output. The login command returns the following items:
    ■ A session cookie, jsessionid. The client must use this cookie when submitting subsequent requests, including logoff requests.
    ■ A status code of 200, if the session does not encounter any errors. This indicates that the request succeeded.
Then to get data out ....
Integration request input. The jsessionid returned to the client during login must be included with the request. The request must contain the jsessionid either as a cookie or as a URL parameter, as follows:
    https://secure.crmondemand.com/Services/Integration/object;jsessionid=xyZ12489w3482413
Does anyone have any ideas on how we might do this using the Oracle BPEL PM?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Fail to connect in the HP Web Service

    Hey guys,
I just got one HP Laserjet CP1025nw and wanna set up the wireless eprint on my MAC. Now I am at the stage of using HP Web Service to enable the printer. The problem is that when I clicked the HP Web Service tab and and clicked "Enable" button, after 5 seconds it simply showed "connection error, check internet connection".  I have checked and my MAC and the printer are in the same wifi environment and the IP address is the same as the configuration paper. I have no idea what to do in the next step. I don't think the printer is too far to have a good connection as the signal shows approximately 4 boxes out of 5.
I will be appreciated if someone could help me out.
    Thanks

    Hi @lmbo
Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I see that you are getting a connection error message when trying to enable the web services for your Laserjet CP1025nw printer.
Please set a static IP address for the printer. I have included the Printer Does Not Maintain Wireless Connection document. In the Windows section, the steps for setting a static ip address is Solution Three. In the Mac section, it is Solution Two. For the DNS servers, please use 8.8.8.8 for the Manual Alternate DNS server and 8.8.4.4 for the Alternate Preferred DNS server.
Please let me know how it goes.

    Hi,
I would start by verifying that the /ReportingWebService resource is properly configured in IIS.
Correct configurations can be found in the WSUS Technical Reference Guide: IIS
Settings for WSUS 3.0 SP2 Web Services.
    Also,Under ReportingWebService
Made sure all were set to disabled except for Anonymous Authentication
    Anonymous Authentication Enabled
    ASP .NET Impersonation Disabled
    Basic Authentication Disabled
    Forms Authentication Disabled
    Windows Authentication Disabled
