Problem Simulating a workflow in Siebel Tools 7.7 "SBL-SCR-00141"
Hi,
Im trying to simulate a workflow using siebel tools 7.7 but when i try to do it i got an error "sbl-scr-00141" in the START step saying "The script refers to a method that either not exists or has a incorrect sintax", this method or bs is not in the steps of this workflow and when i use another tools in another computer i can simulate this workflows with the same data, i put the same SRF in the two tools but the problem stills.
i think this is a problem of a config or something in one siebel tools but i dont know what to do.
help please!

Did you also copy the SRF to the client, or just Tools?
I think the simulator uses the SRF from the client.

Siebel Problem With a Workflow Process (Pleaseee help REAL PROBLEM)
Well the problem is this i have a designed a workflow who is called by a JOB. Its functionality is to close Service Requests at certain time in the night.
when i simulate a workflow against 2 different Servers it works fine without errors, but when i run a job that calls this WP in those servers i have diferent errors in diferent steps.

If they have the same job and workflow, and BS's active(i use the BS in other workflows and no problem with it) why they give error in diferent steps but they work fine when i use the Business Simulator?, its there a solution?, this can be a problem about the server config or triggers??

2.Is the version for workflow in server and the one youre testing in client are the same ?
3. Last but not least this BCH EAI Query Utility search spec is it correct ? Can it able to return at least one record base on you're search spec because I know some business service are required to return at least one record else it will throw error.

Problems with the password with WebClient but not with Siebel Tools
Hello, I am having problems when I am trying to connect with the WebClient against local database. When I put the user and the password i obtain a message that said me that the password and user is incorrect.
When I use the same password and user in Siebel Tools I have access without any problem.
Someone kwows which would be my problem?

Problem with Siebel Tool ORA-12154
Hi,
This is my problem:
I installed Siebel Tool in Windows XP successful, but when attempt to connect to me marks the following error:
An internall error has occurred within the authentication subsystem for the Siebel application. Please contact your system administrator for assistance.(SBL-DAT-00565)
If I probe the conexion ODBC that finished with this error:
[DataDirect][ODBC Oracle driver][Oracle]ORA-12154: Tns: could not resolve the connect identifier specified
I can connect to the database using SQL Plus without problems.
My Datababase is "Oracle Database 10g Release 10.2.0.1.0".
My Oracle Client is 10.2.0.1.0
My tnsnames.ora contain this lines
TEST.WORLD =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = SERVER01)(PORT = 1521))
(CONNECT_DATA = (SID = TEST))

My problem already this solved.
My error was the Oracle client. I had installed Oracle Client 8.0.6.3.2 and I'm trying to connect in "Oracle Database 10g Release 10.2.0.1.0". Then I updated the Oracle Client to Oracle Client 10.2.0.1.0
I installed Oracle Client 10.2.0.1.0 completely with option Administration Tools and I added line the new tnsnames.ora:
TEST =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = SERVER01)(PORT = 1521))
(CONNECT_DATA = (SID = TEST))
And now I already could be connected without problems.

Facing Problem in siebel tools

I am using Siebel tools version 7.1.5 After i logged in into siebel tools through my local , i logged in successfully. Now go to screens->systemadministartion -> list of values. As soon as i click on list of values, i got the following error:

Column 'DYN_LOV_TYPE' not found
Does anybody faces this problem previously or have any idea what is the cause?I don't see this error when i tries to connect to siebel tools through server.
This DYN_LOV_TYPE is added as a custom column
How can i check whether this has been applied to my DB or not?

It says, "Siebel could not launch the upgrade wizard.Please contact your Administrator for assistance". What could the reason?

I am little unsure on what situation you are currently.
Is this the first time you are opening Siebel tools? where you are in the middle of generating your 'local' db. [or] You have already opened Siebel tools and suddenly experiencing this issue?
Irrespective of your situation, please go to your 'BIN' folder and look for a file with ".ucf" extension. It may have a name like "upgwiz.ucf". Please rename this file with a different name and try to run Siebel tools again. FYI: It gets regenerated on every attempt, if not available. You may be able to go-through the process without any problem, if your earlier upgrade/db generation was failed due to network connectivity.
But if you are seeing the same error again, then rename the ".ucf" again and visit your 'LOG' folder. You may find the latest log with relevant information on the failure. Please check if the log helps you in fixing. Fix it and reopen the Siebel tools.
If it is difficult to understand the log, then please post the information available in the log in this forum. We will try to help you.

How to add a custom button in WD screen to call a workflow in siebel?
Hi All,
We have a requirement to have a custom button at the summary screen(after the rule execution) "Create Opportunity", on clicking on it a new opportunity record should be created in Siebel. As we know the "Save" link calls "PolicyAutomationSaveSession" inbound web service method and saves the information in session table and we can modify the PreSession and PostSession workflows. But we are not sure how it calls the service method and where is the mapping defined.
Can you please help me on how to add a custom button and how to invoke a workflow in siebel side to implement this requirement?
Also is there any document which can help me to add a custom button in screen and to add the code behind the button?

Closing a Web Determinations window is essentially the same as closing any HTML window. It involves javascript, which you would have to add to the Web Determinations templates.
Essentially the javascript command to close a window is {{window.close}} or {{top.close}}
For timing, you might be able to use the setTimeout function of Javascript (see: http://www.w3schools.com/jsref/met_win_settimeout.asp)
At the risk of exposing exactly how bad my javascript skills are, I have attached a super-simple html fragment, a page that closes itself after 3 seconds. It may help you get started in the right direction. In general closing a window is a fairly dubious activity and is often not permitted by certain browsers. This html page at least works in Internet Explorer.

Problem in standard workflow of claims in ESS
Hi ,
I am functional consultant and I am facing problem in standard workflow of claims WS18900023 .
When approver clicks on approve button it gives message that ' Validation is succesful 'and it does not get approved.
When approver clicks on Approve button it should say that request has been approved and that workiten should go from his inbox but this is not happening .That workitem still shows in his inbox with same status of to be approved .
Kinldy help in resolving this issue .

I assue that you have activated the BADI GET_NEXT_APPROVER.
Follow these steps.
=> Request for claims from portal.
=> Then in SAP run the T-code HRPBSIN_AC_ACRP and check the request status. It should show as To Be Approved.
=> Then logon as manager and approve the request from UWL.
=> Now agian in SAP run the T-code HRPBSIN_AC_ACRP and check the request status. It should show as Approved. ( If your maintaining Multi level approval process status will be Partially Approved).
=> Once it shows status Approved, Run the T-code HRPBSIN_AC_INFU, it will show the list of requests to be update in IT0015.

I am facing some problem while configuring Workflow Manager 1.0. in my farm.
Scenario is,
I have installed and configured workflow manager in my farm, it was working well with no issue. But one of team member played with AD and deleted Farm administrator's entry from AD by mistake. So suddenly workflows get affected and stopped working.
Then I added administrator entry in AD, uninstalled the Workflow Manager and installed it again. But now while configuring workflow manager I am facing some issues that "Failure to adding user in BUILTIN\Administrative group. Please add it manually"
And after sometime it shows another error message that, "Starting service Service Bus Massage broken failed: Timed out has expired, the operation has not been completed"
If I go for services then "Service bus Message broker" service is not running properly (Its status is just showing "Starting") and don't starts.
I have also added the user in BUILTIN\Administrator, IIS_IUSER, WSS_WPG group of the machine from computer manager - user and groups.
Also given permission to databases, and assign role of sysadmin and dbcreator to user
I also tried following steps
1) Stop all services associated to workflows
2) Uninstalled workflow manager
3) Deleted all databases associated with workflows
4) Installed workflow manager and tried to configure.
But showing same error.
If I use another SharePoint server farm to configure workflows, there I am not getting first error of adding user to BUILTIN\Administrator group. but second error remains same.
We having SQL server and Active directory at another machine and FARM at another machine, if I use local admin for configuration of the workflows (as local admin can start any services) but entry of local admin is not Active directory so can not assign SQL's
sysadmin, and dbcreator role to local admin.
I am attaching snapshot of error for better understanding.

Check to see what the service accounts are being used for these Workflow Manager 1.0 services:
Service Bus Message Broker
Service Bus Gateway
Workflow Manager Backend
All of these should be running and your workflow service account should be running all of these. If any are still configured under the old service account, they'll need to be updated. Next, check to see what service accounts have access to the
Workflow Manager 1.0 databases:
SbGatewayDatabase
SbManagement
SbMessageContainer
WFInstanceManagement
WFManagement
WFResourceManagement
The Workflow Manager service account should be mapped as the DBO for all of these. if any are still configured under the old service account, they'll need to be updated.
Given the complete loss of the original workflow service account, and the resultant impact on security configuration throughout the workflow farm, I would recommend performing a re-installation. Do it thus:
Launch Workflow Manager Configuration Wizard
Select the Leave Workflow Manager Farm
Stop all workflow services (see above list)
Repeat steps 1-3 for each instance of Workflow Manager 1.0 Server installed.
Delete all Workflow Manager databases (see above list).
reboot.
Start new installation. -
Extract Siebel Tools sse_data.dbf file into Oracle Sql Developer.

I have Siebel tools installed on my machine and I need to export the sse_data.dbf file from tools to Oracle Sql Developer, how do I do that? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

There's a tool named dbisqlc.exe which comes with default Siebel Tools installation. You can execute DML statements by using this tools. Actually dbisqlc.exe and sqldeveloper are both client tools for executing SQL statements.
What do you want to do by exporting the local dbf? Can you please explain your requirement?

Problem while Integrating workflow with OID.
Hi I have a problem with integrating workflow with OID.I must execute the wf_ldap.synch_all() but I couldn't find WF_LDAP package body in the database.There is only package specification.How I can restore the wf_ldap package.
Thanks for help..The file WFLDAPB.pls should be used to recreate the package body for WF_LDAP (this file is in the wf/sql directory).

Siebel Tools Business Services for Source Control verification
One of the challenges with integrating Siebel Tools with a Source Control repository is that it is far too easy for an user to check in code to the Siebel Repository without that code getting checked in correctly to the Source Control repository (i.e. Subversion).
They can turn off the source control, have it setup incorrectly, or have some permissions issues which they don't know about. Since Siebel does all check-ins as an after though you can have the two code repositories (Siebel Tools and Subversion) out of sync.
Was wondering if anyone out there has used any of the out of the box Business Services (that start with Siebel Tools..) to build an automated process that would compare the objects in Siebel (via SIF-XML) to the files that got stored in the Source Control repository.
Or how have you mitigated this risk?There are 2 things required to meet your need:
1) be able to generate a config.jar file from the resources in the source control in a command line tool.
2) deploy this jar file into alsb
WRT 1) this is something we want to address by adding an ALSB ant task, but it's not available today. You best bet is also to put the config jar in the source control.
WRT 2) this is already there. You can use the MBean APIs or WLST scripts to deploy the JAR.

Siebel Tools 7.8: Watch window disappeared after undocking
Hi everyone,
during a debugging session in Siebel Tools 7.8 I right clicked on the Watch window and deselected "Docked". Since this time the Watch windows has disappeared forever. I can activate and deactivate it, but have never seen the window again and I really need it for debugging scripts... Restarting Tools didn't help either.
Does anyone know what happened here? How can I get the Watch window back?

Resolution:
The customer renamed the old Tools preferences file (devtools.prf) from the SIEBEL_TOOLS_ROOT\BIN directory to devtools.prf.old and the file was recreated by Siebel Tools when it restarted. The windows returned to their original settings.
Also refer to Using Siebel Tools > Customizing Your Siebel Tools Environment > About Development Tools Options, for further information on the devtools.prf file. -
Problems with Automatic Workflow Customizing
Hi!
I am having problems with Automatic Workflow Customizing (SWU3). I am trying to execute "Configure RFC Destination" manually. I receive the message "Synchronization of passwords failed".
We are using CUA and it is therefor not possible to create the user from SWU3 which means that WF-BATCH has been created in CUA with a pw which is then filled in by me when executing "Configure RFC Destination".
WF-BATCH has authorization SAP_NEW, SAP_ALL
My user also has SAP_NEW and SAP_ALL and usergroup SUPER.
Does anyone know what might be the problem?

Check if the user is locked in SU01. Then check if your user has been created in CUA.
It is recommended to delete WF_BATCH. The system will auto create the user ID WF-BATCH and synchronize the password.
