Problem to publish tenant databases

Hi
I'm implementing WAP solution. When I see credentials of my tenants databases (MS-SQL or Mysql), the server attribute is the name of my database server in my local domain. For example: wapsqldb.int.fibercorp.com.ar. When I download the publish credentials
and used these in Web Matrix Aplication, I cant connect to the database. Exactly. The resolution of wapsqldb.int.ibercorp.com.ar is a private IP and then resolution occurs only in my LAN. I need that appear the FQDN that respond a public IP. But I need that
workers servers access the database for the private ip address. Can I use a FQDN that respond a public ip when I'm using the WAP wizard to provisioning a tenant database service, but... the same FQDN is a private ip to the WAP servers?
What is the correct method to publish or install the tenant databases?
Sorry for my Inglish.
My regards

Hi,
Are you implementing Windows Azure Pack [WAP] solution ?
If so, then I would request to post your question once again on the Azure Pack Forum.

    I have a user requesting to publish access (2007/2010) web database into SharePoint 2013. I am able to publish this database on all sites under one site collection (test) but fails on the other site (different site collection). I have compared site collection

    Hi MK,
    According to your description, my understanding is that you got an error when you published Access database to SharePoint 2013.
    Please deactivate SharePoint Server Enterprise Site Collection features at site collection level and deactivate SharePoint Server Enterprise Site features at site level, then activate them again, compare the result.
    Per the error message, please type a value in the ‘Name’ filed, then publish the table, compare the result.
    In addition, here is a similar article, please check whether it is useful for you:

    I hope this helps.

  • Problem in getting the database connection from a connection pool

    Hai All,
    I am facing a problem in getting the database connection from a connection pool created on weblogic server 8.1.
    I am using the Oracle database 8.1.7.
    I have configured my connection pool, datasource and JNDI in weblogic.
    In my java program i have the following code to retrieve the connection.
    import java.sql.*;
    import java.util.Hashtable;
    import javax.naming.Context;
    import javax.naming.InitialContext;
    class jdbcshp1 {
        public static void main(String[] args) {
         Connection connection = null;
         try {
               Hashtable ht = new Hashtable();
               ht.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY,"weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory");  // Wanna get rid of this.
               ht.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL,"t3://localhost:7001"); // wanna get rid of this.
               // Get a context for the JNDI look up
               Context ctx = new InitialContext(ht);
            javax.sql.DataSource ds = (javax.sql.DataSource) ctx.lookup ("myjndi1");
              //Create a connection object
              connection = ds.getConnection();
         The above code is working fine but, the two ht.put statements are creating problem.
    The problem is, after converting the application into WAR file it can be deployed
    on any machine or different port on same machine. My application fails if its deployed on
    weglogicserver which is at different port.
    Is there any way that i can get rid of those ht.put statements or any other way to solve the problem.
    any help is appreciated.
    Thanks in advance
    Pooja.

    Hai All,
    Firstly, thanks for ur reply.
    Even i have seen some code which uses context constructor with out any parameter and works fine.
    i dont understand why its not working for my code.
    When i remove those ht.put code and use context constructor with out any parameter, it giving an error.
    Context ctx = new InitialContext();
    javax.sql.DataSource ds = (javax.sql.DataSource) ctx.lookup ("ocjndi");
    connection = ds.getConnection();The error is as follows:
    javax.naming.NoInitialContextException: Need to specify class name in environment or system property, or as an applet parameter, or in an application resource file: java.naming.factory.initial
    the above error is forcing me to include those code but if the port number is changed the code will not work. Plz let meknow if some setting have to be made.
    I appreciate all ur valuable help.
    Thanks once again.
    Pooja.

  • There is a problem with the Outlook database.  Your database could not be rebuilt. [-18000]

    For home use, I recently changed from Windows PC to MacBook Air.  I have an iPhone 4 which I synched without problem to the PC.  Since I have used Outlook for years on Windows and trusted advisors assured me Microsoft Office on the Mac is the same as Microsoft Office on Windows, I decided to continue using Microsoft Office.  Because I cannot get my Outlook calendar to sync reliably to iCal / iPhone and because I have found a small but meaningful number of features I use daily in Outlook Windows do not work on Outlook Mac, I have never been in so much pain!
    The latest problem is Outlook does not complete startup.  I get this error:
    There is a problem with the Outlook database.  To use the database, you must rebuild it using the Database Utility.
    I run the utility but it never completes successfully.
    Step 1 of 5: Scannning...
    Step 2 of 5: Verifying...
    Step 3 of 5: Copying records to new database...
    Step 4 of 5: Recovering data...
    Your database could not be rebuilt. [-18000]
    I have found many articles about this problem but they all seem to assume that you can successfully start Outlook then you rebuild the database to fix data corruption in Outlook.
    What if I Outlook never completes startup?

    Here are the steps that solved the Outlook data corruption problem.
    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/mac/forum/macoffice2011-macoutlook/your-datab ase-could-not-be-rebuilt/5caff467-3ab2-464a-9fe6-00ad913b5f2e
    The question was:  Your database could not be rebuilt
    The key is to create a new Outlook Identity, remove the database file, then copy your data records into the new identity and use the Outlook database utility to rebuild the database.
    It's a wonderful feeling to see Outlook start up successfully after a few days of downtime!

  • Problem running oracle 9i database in archivelog mode - database freezes

    Greetings,
    I recently needed to change a (test) database to archivelog mode to make online back-ups of this database. This posed no real problem although I seem to be unable to set the database to automatic archiving eventhough I edited the init.ora file (translation of the "archive log list" output between square brackets):
    SQL> archive log list
    Databaselogmodus Archiveermodus [Databaselogmode: Archivemode]
    Automatisch archiveren Gedeactiveerd [Automatic archiving: Deactivated]
    Archiveerbestemming O:\oracle\ora92\RDBMS [Archivedestionation: O:\oracle\ora92\RDBMS]
    Oudste on-line logreeks 12306
    Volgende logreeks voor archivering 12306
    Huidige logreeks 12308
    I added this to my init.ora file:
    # Archvie Log Destinations
    log_archive_start=TRUE
    log_archive_dest_1=%ORACLE_HOME%\database\archive
    log_archive_format="%%ORACLE_SID%%t_%s.arc"
    However, this is not the real problem (maybe it has something to do with it, which is why I mention it aswell), the real problem is that my database freezes when the archive log file is "full". When the archive file reaches ~102.400Kb it just freezes up and I need to restart the database.
    The following error is written to the alert_sid.log file:
    Thu Apr 17 09:19:55 2008
    Thread 1 cannot allocate new log, sequence 12309
    All online logs needed archiving
    Current log# 2 seq# 12308 mem# 0: O:\ORACLE\ORADATA\O\REDO02.LOG
    The problem seems to be that the oracle service can't start a new logfile when the previous one is full. Does anybody know how I could fix this?
    Thanks in advance,
    Bram

    Hello Maran, thanks for your quick response.
    I added the output of archivelog list in the original post, but it's in dutch so here's the (loose) translation of the output:
    SQL> archive log list
    Databaselog mode Archive mode
    Automatic archiving Deactivated
    Archive destionation O:\oracle\ora92\RDBMS
    Oldest on-line logsequence 12307
    Next logsequence for archiving 12307
    Current logsequence 12309
    Maybe something that can help with the troubleshooting:
    The archivelog file is written to O:\oracle\ora92\RDBMS but only AFTER the reboot, I've checked SYSTEM rights to the folder and it has full control.
    Babu, thanks aswell for your quick response.
    The location exists and space is available but the database doesn't seem to load (that part of) the ora.init file because the output of archive log list still refers to %ORACLE_HOME%\rdbms instead of %ORACLE_HOME%\database\archive.
    I've now executed alter system archive log all; and am executing the import where the database usually freezes to see if it still happens. So far I already had this written to the alert_sid.log file after executing the command:
    Completed: alter database open
    Thu Apr 17 10:00:11 2008
    ARCH: Evaluating archive log 1 thread 1 sequence 12307
    ARCH: Beginning to archive log 1 thread 1 sequence 12307
    Creating archive destination LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_1: 'O:\ORACLE\ORA92\RDBMS\ARC12307.001'
    ARCH: Completed archiving log 1 thread 1 sequence 12307
    ARCH: Evaluating archive log 2 thread 1 sequence 12308
    ARCH: Beginning to archive log 2 thread 1 sequence 12308
    Creating archive destination LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_1: 'O:\ORACLE\ORA92\RDBMS\ARC12308.001'
    ARCH: Completed archiving log 2 thread 1 sequence 12308
    And new log files were written to the directory (O:\oracle\ora92\RDBMS) and this time I didn't have to reboot for it to happen. Both were 100mb files without the database actually doing all that much though.

    I have the same problem when trying to deploy a simple web service with longs and bytes. I still don't know where the error comes from. Did you find something out? Any answer would be welcome.

  • Problem converting Publisher 2007 files with PDFMaker

    Hi all
    I hope someone can help me.
    I am a technician at a large company and we recently upgraded a users PC to Vista Business (32 bit) from XP Pro.
    Since this was done, the user has a problem with Publisher files on Office 2007.
    When trying to convert the files using Adobe Acrobat Standard 9 with the PDFMaker plug-in on Publisher, it spools the file to the AdobePDF printer and the job then disappears from the printer but the converting bit just hangs at 60% and Publisher 2007 freezes up and Acrobat is not launched showing the converted publisher file.
    This is only happening when converting Publisher files. Word Excel etc are working fine.
    When logged in as administrator, it works perfectly. The converted publisher file spools to the AdobePDF printer, disappears from the queue and Acrobat Standard 9 is launched showing the publisher document as a PDF file. Giving the user administrator rights is not an option. This apparently worked perfectly for the user when his machine OS was XP Pro using Office 2007 and Acrobat Standard 9.
    I have tried a repair of Office, a repair and then a complete uninstall and reinstall of Abobe Standard 9. Also given the user full control of the Adobe folders but the same thing happens with the Publisher conversions.
    Any ideas?
    James

    Hi all
    This problem is now resolved. I got it to work but the frustrating thing was I dont know how I did it! Messed with some settings in Acrobat 9 and the AdobePDF printer and retried it and it worked
    Thanks anyway

  • Problem in connecting to database from webdynpro for java

    Hi
    I have a problem in connecting to database from webdynpro application
    I am using oracle 10 express edition as database and was able to connect to database from a java application.But  was unable to connect from a webdynpro for java.
    <b>I guess webdynpro for java uses open sql instead of vendor sql(I looked in the visual admin ,DB is using open sql) so unable to connect to database.Am i right.?</b>
    Do i need to make any settings in the visual admin to make it work?
    How to solve this problem.Please give me pointers
    Thanks
    Bala

    Hi,
    For connecting to Oracle, either you can use the normal JDBC connectivty code directly which is given below :
    DriverManager.registerDriver(new oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver());
    Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:oracle:thin:@Oracle_server_ip:Oracle port:SID of the Database","user_name","password");
    Statement stmt = conn.createStatement();
    ResultSet rs = stmt.executeQuery("your query");
    In case you want to fetch data through ejbs, these are the steps to be followed :
    1) Open the J2EE perspective
    2) Create an EJB Module project
    3) Right click on ejbModule, create a new EJB (select your EJB type)
    4) While creating the ejb itself, you can add business methods by clicking ‘Next’ in the UI. Another option is after creating the ejb, write the method in the bean, then select the method from ejb-jar.xml -> <bean name> ->method. Right click and select ‘propogate to local & remote’.
    5) Double click on ejb-j2ee-engine.xml. select your bean and specify a Jndi name for eg: “MyJndi”.
    6) Right click on the EJB project and add ‘classes12.zip’ file (provided by Oracle) to it’s build path. (under libraries tab). Also check the same file under ‘Order & Export’.
    7) Create an Enterprise Application project.
    8) Right click on the EJB module project and select add to EAR project, then select the created EAR project.
    9) Right click on the EJB project, select ‘Build EJB Archive’
    10) Right click on the EAR project, select ‘Build Application Archive’
    11) Open the WebDynpro perspective, open a new project, right click on the project ->properties. Do the following configurations :-
    • Java Build path - select the EJB project from ‘projects’ , check the selected project under ‘Order & Export’
    • Project references – select the EAR project
    • WebDynpro references – select ‘sharing references’ tab, click add & make an entry as : <vendor>/<EAR project name without .ear extension>
    You can find the vendor name under ‘application-j2ee-engine.xml’ file of the EAR project. By default it is ‘sap.com’. So if my EAR project’s name is ABC, my entry would look like ‘sap.com/ABC’
    12) Now the configurations are over and the EJB can be invoked by writing the client code inside the webdynpro component. Like:
    InitialContext context = new InitialContext();
    Object obj = context.lookup("MyJndi");
    MyEJBHome home = MyEJBHome)PortableRemoteObject.narrow(obj,MyEJBHome.class);
    MyEJB mybean = home.create();
    int a = 0;
    a= mybean.add(10,15);
    wdContext.currentContextElement().setSum(a);
    where ‘MyEJB’ is my EJB name and ‘MyJndi’ is my JNDI name
    To connect to Oracle , you can write the usual Java code (given below) as a business methos of the ejb (similar to add() method in the example). And access it like mybean.<businessMethodName>().
    DriverManager.registerDriver(new oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver());
    Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:oracle:thin:@Oracle_server_ip:Oracle port:SID of the Database","user_name","password");
    Statement stmt = conn.createStatement();
    ResultSet rs = stmt.executeQuery("your query");

  • There is a problem with the Office database - Office 2011

    Good day!
    I recently installed Office 2011 for Mac and i'm getting the following error message: There is a problem with the Office database. Excel comes up with the error message but i am able to get past the error and open the application, but it freezes when I try on Word. I have to force quit the application to close it completely.
    I've searched online and tried all the suggestions - even those from the discussion board: Problem with Office Mac 2011 database. I've completely removed traces of the software : http://support2.microsoft.com/kb/2398768 and reinstalled using the disc,  as well as followed suggestions to rebuild the database. I also installed the latest Office update: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=44026 from Excel (As it was the only one I know of that's functioning after the error message) but to no avail.
    Here are the tech specs:
    OS X
    version 10.9.5
    Office 2011 for Mac
    Version 14.4.4 (140807)
    Update: 14.4.4
    Hope you guys can point me to the right direction. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

    Best ask question on one of the Microsoft boards.
    Could try NeoOffice.

  • ASP application has problems working with oracle database 8.1.7

    ASP application has problems working with oracle database 8.1.7 through both oracle ODBC driver and Microsoft ODBC driver
    We have an ASP application running on Windows 2000 server, and with 8.1.7 Net8Client and MDAC 2.6 SP1.
    The application worked fine with an Oracle 8.0.5 database.
    After upgrading oracle database to 8.1.7.0.0, our ASP application works fine except when updating the same data record more than once. The application is not saving our updates.
    We tested our application using Oracles ODBC driver v8.1.7.5.0
    and experienced more problems. We had problems just bring up our data entry pages. In either case, we are returned with some 505 errors in our browser, problems with the ASP pages and IIS, the page is not displaying.
    If anyone has some suggestions on how to fix my problem, please advise. Thanks in advance.

    thanks...i saw one article with this approach..but the document did not present the detailed process...do you have one? i am still searching for a good procedure to follow...since it is an old database and focusing/studying old versions like this is a pain in the a**... :(

  • Problem with making a database link.

    Hello All
    I got a problem with making a database link.
    When I execute this query
    CREATE PUBLIC DATABASE LINK DBNAME
    CONNECT TO database IDENTIFIED BY name
    USING 'DBNAME.europe.company.com';
    I am using other names because its private information
    But when I look at the table dba_db_links I see this
    OWNER | DB_LINK | USERNAME |HOST
    PUBLIC| DBNAME.europe.company.com| name| DBNAME.europe.company.com
    So the DB_Link name is changed. And this causes a problem with my asp website. I get the fault message
    ORA-02085: database link DBNAME.europe.company.com connects to DBNAME
    Cause: a database link connected to a database with a different name. The connection is rejected.
    The global_names = true and I prefer to keep it that way.
    So does anyone knows what is wrong about my Query or how I can change the DB_Link name.
    Thanks for the support,
    Remco

    Thanks for the help Mohit
    But thats whats I was doing.
    The query in the first post is the same as what you are posting.
    But by an (for me) unknown reason the database converts DBNAME to DBNAME.europe.company.com
