Problem trying to extract records from VBFA on Smartform.

Hello
I'm attempting to extract records from the table VBFA and my inexperience with Smartforms is start to show.
I only want to have 1 record per handling unit. I'm extracting using VBELV, VBELN and VBTYP_N via SELECT * FROM VBFA.
However this gives me multiple records per handling unit. There is no further field available on the record to make it unique. This is were my inexperience comes in. How do I perform the read of VBFA without using SELECT.?

You're right, I'm trying to get am internal table to use a loop node.
I'd like to go for the full SELECT into a table then read it and either a skip or ignore a record that is a duplication. I'm not sure of the way to achieve this though. This is the first time I've had to manipulate the data like this. Until now I've had the keys to select the data for me.
I've currently got:
SELECT * FROM VBFA INTO TABLE LT_VBFA
WHERE VBELV = IS_DLV_DELNOTE-HD_GEN-DELIV_NUMB
AND VBTYP_N = 'X'.
Then I have LT_VBFA INTO WA_VBFA in a LOOP node .
There needs to be some thing between the 2 nodes to prune the unwanted duplicates.

Our current situation is that we have scheduled the jobs through Solution_manager > solution Reporting > BI Data collection. Yet no data has been collected and the jobs are getting cancelled.
Has anyone come accross this same situation before? Plus I have just found out that on SOLMAN_WORKCENTER under System Monitoring there is a reporting step named IT PERFORMANCE reporting that needs to be configured.
Please advice since this will be critical for our busines.

Extract records from file using RegEx

I was wondering if there's a way to extract records from a text file using regular expressions matching groups in Endeca Integrator.
I have several XML files and I have mapped and extracted records from them using XML Reader component, but I need to preserve the tags of mapped elements. For example, if I have the following XML:
<Msg><Para>Some text. <Emphasis>More text</Emphasis><Para></Msg>
mapping Msg element to an output cloverField will return "Some text. More text". I need to preserve tags, so I need an output like: "<Msg><Para>Some text. <Emphasis>More text</Emphasis><Para></Msg>",
I don't know if there's a way to accomplish this by modifying the setting of the XML Reader component, but I was thinking of using regular expressions to solve this. Unfortunately, I can't find a way to do it by using the built-in components in Integrator.
The final solution is do it programmatically without using Integrator, but I want to know if I'm missing something.

Problems, trying to use backup from 5.1.1 iOS Gen 3 iPod does not sync music to 4th gen iOS 6 iPod.

My 3rd Gen iPod's headphone connector is basically shot, I've had it for around if not over two years now; sometimes I'm surprised it lasted this long; since I am not one who usually listens to her music without headphones, this is problematic, .
Luckily, a family memberI know had a gen 4 iPod, 32g, same space amount as my old one, lying around that they don't use anymore, thank goodness.
Well, in one case, not so much. First of all, said iPod was locked with a passcode (the passcode was guessed so many times because no one could remember it, it locked permenantly) so I had to completely wipe it. However, it wasn't so bad, though all the information was lost, I could finally use iOS 6 on an iPod.
Well, iOS turned out to be a huge problem, in the way of synicing my old backup. I have about, um, an estimated 3000 songs on my 3rd gen iPod, that of which are not all on one computer, and are from multiple computers (my desktop / laptop); I thought all the songs would transfer over with the rest of my things. I didn't think the iOS made a difference.
Lo and behold, I was dead wrong.
When my iPod was restored to my previous backup, it had no music, only my pictures and apps were added. I'd call 'it annoyed me' an understatement. I waited all that time for the ipod to restore and the backup to finish, only to get my one hundered pictures and two apps.
I have tried to look up how to extract music from my iPod, but to no avail, my computer recognizes it as a camera and I can only access the picture files; the way I read you have to do it online, you must be able to actually get into the iPod's folders, besides the picture folders, and I can't seem to do that; there was an option in earlier versions of iTunes that allowed the iPod device to be displayed as something other than a camera but it no longer seems to be an option in the new iTunes.
All the programs for extracting files, specialized for iPod file extraction, actually, cost money, which at the moment, I don't have much of, this iPod was given to me by a family member, and I'm lucky I even have it. Manual extraction is also something I've tried but failed miserably at, as mentioned earlier.
I'm really not up for re-synching one by one, I want this to be as quick and painless as possible. I have the available GB for my 3000 songs (I checked). Most of my songs are mp3s, and some are m4as. Not everything is bought, and not everything is going to be able to be downloaded through iCloud on account of the fact that there are, uh, over 2GB worth of songs, so does anyone have any solutions to my problem here? I have over 50gb in my desktop library alone, loads more in my laptop library, and I really don't feel like separating all the songs from my previous iPod into a single playlist, if there's a more efficient, free solution out there....
This would not have been a problem in the first place, if the passcode was not there; but blame the previous owner of the 4th gen iPod for that. She typed it so many times it locked her out. And so, I had to reset, but not without an automatic update for iOS 6, which my gen3 can't update to, because it's, well, outdated.

Connect the iPod to your computer and update to iOS 6.1.3. You need iTunes 10.7 or later on the computer.

       Table : COEP has 6 million records.
I am trying to get records based on certain criteria, that is, there are atleast 5 conditions in the WHERE clause.
I've noticed it takes about 15 minutes to populate the internal table. How can i improve the performance to less than a minute for a fetch of 500 records from a database set of 6 million?

The first obvious sugession would be to use the proper indexes. I had a similar Issue with COVP which is a join of COEP and COBK. I got substanstial performance improvement by adding "where LEDNR EQ '00'" in the where clause.

JSF - Problem in Retrieving selected record from datatable

I am new to JSF and in the process of developing a new web application using JSF.
I have problem in retrieving the selected record from a datatable. I am using h:datatable tag and h:commandlink in a column for selecting a particular row on the datatable.
I have populated the data to the datatable by binding a bean and its property.
When I retrieve also I am binding to a bean in the action attribute of the h:commandlink tag in h:column of that datatable.But when I try to bind the bindign attribute of the h:datatable tag to the datatable instance in my Bean , my JSF File gets corrupted..
How to implement this without any issue??plz help me regarding this.

Extracting records from 3 tables using joins in MySQL

I have a n Order Processing Module and I have 4 tables for this.
When a new order is placed these 2 tables are populated.
Order_Customer : records details abt the direct customer/dealer who places the order.
Order_Product : records the details abt the product (qty, unit price, taxes etc).
At the Supplier's end the newly placed orders are accepted or rejected and notification is passed on to the despatch dept.
No when Acceptance authority logs in all the new orders should be viewed..all the previously accepted orders should not be displayed. Here OrderId, OrderDate, Cust/Deal Name (from Order_Customer) and Product, Qty, OrdValue (from Order_Product) are to be displayed. My normal join qry does not work here

Problem trying to INSERT records

Hi friends... I have an old application (really it is not my) developed with VB6.0 the function is so important for my job, it process CDR files that receive each 30 min; the problem was that some records were not inserted...
 
I was probing the application and when use the database with SELECTs so expensive (statistics about CDRs to compare different traffic between the current trafic/table and old trafic/tables), the app fails and dont insert a lot of records maybe some "timeout" cause that; the chain to connect with oracle is: "Provider=OraOLEDB.Oracle;User ID=MyUser;Password=MyPassword;Data Source=MyDataSource;FetchSize=200;"
 
Please, How do I fix that?

This is certainly in a transaction but from what you
are saying this means that jdbc is not capable of
handling constraints, also when I execute this in a
sql window(i use toad for this) with autocommit off.
The queries work perfectlyno i am saying it might not be capable of handling constraints in transactions.
could you just try it without the transaction and see what happens?
either one of two things will happen...
1) it will work and you will know it is the transaction that is the problem
2) it won't work and you'll know the problem is something else
either way you'll be able to move forward to fixing your problem.

Problem in identifying unique records from different tables

Hello gurus,
I am on E-Recruitment module.
I order to get more fields in CANDIDATE_ATTR datasource I have enhanced it. I am getting additional fields from HRP5103 (Employer, Employment Start Date & Employment End Date) & from HRP5104 (Institute, City, Region). In both of the tables there are 9 primary keys out of which only two are different through which we can identify duplicate records i.e. OBJID (denote Candidate ID in both tables) & SEQNR(Number of Infotype Record with Same Key).
I know that compounding InfoObjects (since i need to pull duplicate records from table as one candidate can have many institute & employer but they will always be referred by same OBJID) is one of the way but how to manage data through compounding coming from 2 tables.
Also i donot want to create new objects as it will effect whole of the setup.
Is there any other way.
Can anyone give idea as to how to get records in BW.

Thanks for your help. I wen tthrough the two discussions and found the following:
1. I cannot include the primary/unique keys in the selection as it would make everything distinct. This restricts me from pointing me to the exact record that has changed.
2. The columns would be dynamic. I want a config kind of solution where i can define the tables, columns on both the sides. And add/remove compare fields in the setup tables.

Problem trying to play recorded DVD from TV

I know there are compatibility problems, but I am wondering if anyone knows a neat way round them.
I recorded a TV programme onto DVD+RW but can't get it to play on the Mac.
Options to consider? Software download perhaps? If so, which one? File conversion? Or just forget it!?

Hi Doug - thanks for your input on this. I think I may buy some DVD-R disks and see what happens, but I really want RW as I don't want to keep the recordings. I also have DVD-RAM, which is what I use most of the time. I will also try making a fresh recording on another DVD+RW and see if it plays on my PC.
Coming back to my original question, I guess the recording I made will not be viewable on the Mac and there is no easy way to make it so?

Problems trying to insert rows from PL/SQL procedure with existing seq..

i have a button that is calling an anonymous PL/SQL block and i am struggling with inserting records automatically when this button is clicked. an ordinary before insert DB trigger is launched:

in my PL/SQL I am trying to create a record automatically. stupid question that this undoubtedly is, how do i do this? if i leave the sequence column = null surely the trigger should take care of inserting the sequence into this column automatically?
i have tried making the sequence column = null, leaving it out altogether (ie specifying all colums except this one on the insert statement) but with no success!
