Problem when adding a web server in front of weblogic

Hello all,
I have the following problem. A Sun ONE WS (6.1) was added in front of the weblogic 70 that runs our application. The WS just forwards the requests from port 91 to the weblogic port, which is 8001. In my application, I have only one <welcome-file-list> that works fine if I access the AS directly. However, It doesn't work when I try to do it thru the WS. Is there anything I need to change in weblogic or my application to make this <welcome-file-list> functionality work ? Someone know if the HTTP request is received differently if it's sent internally ?
Thanks a lot!
Federico

The AS wasn't the problem. Sun one was appending index.html in the request when it forward it to the AS...

Help needed urgently, i'm pulling my hair out on this one!
Using SharePoint online (365) I am trying to create an external list to a SQL table. I go through the steps in SP designer and finally create the external list but when I go to the list I get the error:
Unable to render the data. If the problem persists, contact your web server administrator.
I have read all of the posts on here to fix this and they are mainly for on premise; the powershell doesn't work with spOnline and I have added permissions into the BCS service application but nothing works. I read that it is not possible to connect
sharepoint online to an on-premise SQL database so I moved the SQL database to an azure SQL service server but I still get the same error.
I have a "test" on premise sharepoint which I have tried this on and it works fine so it must be an issue with SPonline! does anyone know how to get BCS connections to external data working in sharepoint online as external lists?

    Hi,
    In SharePoint online, we support:
    Business Data Connectivity (BDC)
Data Source types, including Windows Communication Foundation (WCF)
    SQL Server Azure connectors
I'd suggest you refer to the article below:
    https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Make-an-External-List-from-a-SQL-Azure-table-with-Business-Connectivity-Services-and-Secure-Store-466f3809-fde7-41f2-87f7-77d9fdadfc95?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US
It describes about how to use SharePoint technologies to access data from a SQL Azure database without having to write code, including create an External List by using Business Connectivity Services (BCS) and Secure Store. BCS connects SharePoint solutions
to external data, and Secure Store enables user authentication for the data. By using an External List, you can display the contents of a table from SQL Azure in SharePoint Online. Users can read, edit, and update the data, all in SharePoint Online.

  • A web server in front of Sun One App 8

Hi all, I'm trying to port a web site with jsp and servlet and j2ee applications(JMS) from tomcat&Apache to Sun one application server 8. In my old setup, Aapche acts as a front line where static images are served there, php pages and cgi stuff where tomcat is for jsp and servlets.
So when i try to port it to sun one 8, i got a couple of problems. Sun one 8 doesnt support cgi and php, so i need a web server in front. So i'm thinking either apache or sun web server in front and funnel jsp/servlet to sun one 8. But i dont know how to integrate such setup. With apache and tomcat, theres this JK2/coyote sitting on port 8009. How do i setup a web server (maybe apache or sun one web) with sun one 8?
    Kien

I'm looking to do the same. Has anyone done this. I'd prefer apache but willing to look at any solution.

  • Sharepoint ONLINE - Unable to render the data. If the problem persists, contact your web server administrator

    Hi,
I have followed the steps in the following link:
Make an External List from a SQL Azure table with Business Connectivity Services and Secure Store, but I keep receiving the following message when I try to access an external list:
"Unable to render the data. If the problem persists, contact your web server administrator"
Note: I'm using SharePoint 2013 ONLINE, and (as far as I know) I have no access to the logs & powershell.
Any body has had the same issue before?
    Regards.
Note: I have tried changing my ECT's connection property (through designer 2013) to BDC Identity, but I keep receiving the following error message:
The metadata object that has Name "xxxx" has a Property with name "AuthenticationMode" and value "RevertToSelf". This value indicates that the runtime should revert to the identity of the application pool, but reverting to the
application pool is not permitted for partitioned service applications.

Try changing the External Content’s connection
properties’ Authentication Mode to BDC identity. You will most like get an error (which I have shown below)
Below is an error you will received. Read through
    the error carefully.
Launch the SharePoint 2013 Management Shell
    and run the below commands
    $bcsServiceApp = Get-SPServiceApplication
    | where {$_ -match "Business Data Connectivity Service"}
    $bcsServiceApp.RevertToSelfAllowed
    = $true;
    $bcsServiceApp.Update();
This Solved the problem for me. you can try

  • Problem when adding ascx user control in the MasterPage: Parser Error Message: The referenced file ... is not allowed on this page.

    Hello,
I have to maintain a SharePoint 2010 project, in which a TopNavigation User Control for SiteCollection is registered in the MasterPage in this way:
    <%@ Register TagPrefix="ABC" TagName="TopNavigation" src="~/_layouts/ABCApplication/MainSite/Navigation/TopNavigation.ascx" %>
    <asp:ContentPlaceHolder id="PlaceHolderTopNavBar" runat="server">
    <asp:ContentPlaceHolder id="PlaceHolderHorizontalNav" runat="server">
                                        <ABC:TopNavigation ID="TopNavi" XMLDataLocation="/_layouts/ABCApplicatopm/MainSite/TopNavigation.xml" IsRoot="true"
    runat="server" />
    </asp:ContentPlaceHolder>
    </asp:ContentPlaceHolder>
When I deploy the SiteCollection, the TopNavigation user control is working correctly. Unfortunately when i modify the masterpage over SharePoint Designer, the following error message comes allways, regardless of the art of changes i did in the MAsterPage
( even if I open the MasterPage, add an space and do save/close the MasterPage).
"Problem when adding user control in my custom master page, Parser Error Message: The referenced file '/_layouts/Navigation/TopNavigation.ascx' is not allowed on this page."
    Any ideas?

    Hi Simon,
When we use UserControl in SharePoint Page or MasterPage, and the UserControl is kept in any folder other than ControlTemplates, we will got the error. Here is an article about this issue and provided the solution:
    http://sharepoint-tina.blogspot.com/2009/07/referenced-file-pathxyzascx-is-not.html
The solution can also be used in SharePoint 2010.

  • Unable to open external list : Error : Unable to render the data. If the problem persists, contact your web server administrator.

    Hi,
Please note we are using SQL Server 2008 for sharepoint. Does it matter for this issue?
    Please help.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you failed to open external list.
Please change the External Content’s connection properties’ Authentication Mode to BDC identity.
Then launch the SharePoint 2013 Management Shell and run the PowerShell commands to remove the error.

  • JTable sorting - problem when adding elements (complete code inside)

Im writing this email with reference to a recent posting here but this time with the code example. (I apologize for the duplicated posting this time it will be with the code)
Problem: when adding more elements to the JTable (sorted) the exception: ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException is thrown.
Example: If the elements in the table are 10 and then the user requests for 8 the table will produce the correct result. However, if the user will ask for 11 items (>10) the exception will be thrown.
The program: The program below (compiles and running). A JTable is constructed with 3 items, when you click the button - the return result should be 4 items - this will generate the error, WHY?
I would highly appreciate your thoughts why this is happening and most importantly how to fix it.
    Thanks a lot

  • Problem in configuring Apache Web Server v2.2

    Hi,
I am facing problem in configuring apache web server with tomcat 7.0. I want to configure the web server in such a way that I can access the application only using the localhost(without appending the port to it). Ex I want to access the application through "http://localhost" instead of "http://localhost:8080".
I tried to configure it using the concept of vertical clustering and "load balancer", but failed to do that.
Can anyone please tell me steps to configure apache web server with tomcat or provide any useful link / urls to do that one.
    Thanks in advance

The only way you can achieve it is by running the web server to listen on port 80
Please change the port in your httpd.conf file for the webserver and restart it.
If any other processes are running/using on port 80 on that machine, then please stop them, otherwise you will not be able to achieve your requirement.

  • When adding a web site I want keychain access to manage, it truncates the URL I paste in. Is there a fix for this?

when adding a web site, userid, and password via keychain access
the 'where' field which is where you put the URL, is getting truncated after being pasted
    any fix available?

You can try to use "Forget About This Site" in the History (right-click context menu in Library or sidebar) to remove all data from a website including possible exceptions.

  • Web server in front of XI

    Hello guys,
I am developing a scenario in which i want to publish XI message interfaces on the uddi repository,is there any best practice for this.
Also I want to place the web server in front of xi so as to hide my XI server form the clients requesting particular service from XI.
    Regards,
    Keith.

    hi,
    >>>>Also I want to place the web server in front of xi so as to hide my XI server form the clients requesting particular service from XI.
in standard you should you <b>SAP WEB dispacher</b>
to do that - you can put it in DMZ to connect to internet directly - very easy to configure and use
no need to a new web server

  • 404 File not Found when accessing Video Web server

I am trying to access a Video Web server remotely. Everything works fine on a PC and also on Internet Explorer for Mac.
When I login using Safari I get the error message "404 File not Found" "The requested URL was not found on this server"
I have been successful twice through Safari but after that it doesn't seem to work for days.
I have removed all cookies, emptied the Cache, reset safari, deleted all keychain access references to the website.
It seems to be a security issue but I am not sure what else to do.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

    Try using open DNS:
Adding Open DNS codes to your Network Preferences, should give good results in terms of speed-up as well as added security:
Open System Preferences/Network. Double click on your connection type, or select it in the drop-down menu, and in the box marked 'DNS Servers' add the following two numbers:
    208.67.222.222
    208.67.220.220
(You can also enter them if you click on Advanced and then DNS)

  • How to allow cleanup actions to be taken by a reentrant clone before it is killed, when viewed via web server, because of a browser close?

Here is a question I'm having to luck with.  I have a VI, set to be reentrant, which is published via the web server.  The main VI instance is never interacted with: it makes a clone every time someone navigates to the proper URL, and the user interacts with the newly created clone (never the main instance).  A clones is capable of configuring and calling instrument VI's when proper login credentials are entered, which results in browser popups that are controllable on the user's end (though only one user is ever doing this at a time. To clarify, multiple clones can be open simultaneously for login purposes, but only one user is ever interacting with the instruments, which aren't themselves reentrant).
If the user clicks my custom logout button in their browser, it is trivial to close these other, independent instruments and clean up properly.  But if the user simply clicks the red X in their browser, there is no graceful shutdown and the instruments which the clone called stay open on the server, when they should be closing.
    My experience so far:
No panel close? event seems to be triggered in the clone.  The clone simply ceases to be.
The remote_panel_connections property doesn't seem to work correctly in this instance (I haven't had any luck so far), since it is possible for more than one clone to be active, and the main parent that is spawning the clones stays running but isn't interacted with in any way.
    What I Need:
A way for the clone VI to recognize that the user has closed their browser, and communicate that it is closing to all active VI's before terminating.
I would like to avoid forcing the instruments that the clone calls to poll constantly to see if the clone VI is present on the network.  If there is no other solution but this, I would appreciate a suggestion as to the least resource and code intensive way to implement this type of polling, as the instruments are really meant to be totally independent entities after they are called, rather than sub vi's.
Thanks for any input, let me know if more information is needed.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hey MTdev,
Panel close? events cannot be triggered on a VI being viewed or controlled remotely. Some more information on that can be found in the help here:http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371361E-01/lvprop/vi_panel_closeq/.  My suggestion would be to set the Title Bar on the front panel of your remote VI to not be visible so that their only option for closing the window is to click the logout button.  Are you using Remote Front Panels(http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/3277) to do this instrument control?  Using remote front panels allows you to manage a lot of the multiple people accesssing at the same-time type issues so it may be something to look into if you are not already using this method.

  • Problem when defining a web service

    Hello,
I have defined several BAPI that I am calling from an external application by exopsing those BAPI using the SOAP adaptor.
All goes well for all of them except one.
For the one having problems the Integrantion engine is routing that call to different webservice than the one I expect it to do it,
these are some of the paramenters I use when defining the web service in the Integration Builder:
    Interface name: MI_BAPI_PPMSRVAPS_GETLIST
    Communitcation chanel: CC_SOAP_BAPI_PPMSRVAPS_GETLIST
    Address: http://sapxi:50000/xisoapadapter/messageservlet?channel=:BS_WEBSERVICE_GREYCON:CC_SOAP_BAPI_PPMSRVAPS_GETLIST
but instead when I test the generated wsdl using soapUI: the integration engine returns this error:
    Canceled with Errors 02.06.2010 15:04:22 02.06.2010 15:04:23   [websericename]     [namespace]MI_BAPI_PDSSRVAPS_GETLIST
My guess is that at some point I defined wrong the web service but I have no way to redefine it or revert how it was defined.
I redefined the webservice with correct parameters, but there is no change in behaviour.
I checked server address and port (it is the exact same of the other BAPIs that work)
Where can I see all defined web services when they are defined via the Integration builder define web service option?
How to delete a webservice published this way?
    Any advise?
Any help is very much appreciated.

    Mauricio Pego

    Hello there.
    Error: 404 Not Found
Description: The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address. This status code is commonly used when the server does not wish to reveal exactly why the request has been refused, or when no other response is applicable.
    Possible Tips:- for HTTP_RESP_STATUS_CODE_NOT_OK 404
u2022 404 is an HTTP response code that indicates that the resource in question couldn't be found. Usually this is due to an incorrect URL, so it is better to cross check all URLs. Check pipeline URL in the SLD in the business system of the Integration Server For this go to SLD->Business System-><yourIntegrtaion Server>->Pipeline URL: It should be like this http://<host>:<port>/sap/xi/engine?type=entry Where host is the host name of the Integration Server and port is the HTTP(8xxx) port. To verify this in Integration Server you can do like this. Go to SXMB_ADM->Integration Engine Configuration->Choose Edit from Menu -> Change Global Configuration Data to switch to change mode. Then select System Landscape - Load Configuration. (This is not required always)
u2022 Check that the port really is the ICM HTTP Port and not the J2EE port i.e SMICM then menu GOTO --> SERVICES and check the port number for HTTP. It should be HTTP port
u2022 If the error is Page cannot be displayed, cannot find server in https configurations Check and correct the SSL configuration for the ABAP and the J2EE side of the system
u2022 If the error is because of integration server when using Proxy communications then check these. i.e SXMB_ADM->Integration Engine Configuration->Corresponding Integration Server enrty should be dest://<Http Integration server-Destination> Where < Http Integration server -Destination > is the RFC destination (SM59) of type HTTP connection (type H) to the Integration Server. In this case, host name, port, and path prefix are saved in the RFC destination.
Try some of the recommendations that most apply to your case.
    Hope it helps!

  • Problem installing Sun Java Web Server

    Hi
I'm trying to install Sun Identity Server which need Sun Java Web Server...
I try to install identity server and web server using Sun Java Enterprise System Install Wizard...
When I came to page Identity Server:Sun Java System Web Server (3 of 6 ) and I entered Hostname, dir1.usmnet, I get an error pop-up window stating Host Name is not valid......but if I typed dir1.domain.com the error message didn' t appear.....
I'm using Solaris 9 on Intel platform. I have setup my network and able to ping to other valid hostname in my LAN....
FYI my network information are as follows
    /etc/hosts
    127.0.0.1 localhost
    <my ip > dir dir.usmnet loghost
    /etc/hostname.elxl0
    dir1
    /etc/resolv.conf
    domain usmnet
    nameserver <dns server ip>
    search usmnet
    I have also setup /etc/netmasks and /etc/defaultrouter
When I type the domainname command, nothing appeared
What when wrong, I could ping to my dns server and to other computer in this LAN, could anybody give a suggestion ?

OK, found the solution by myself.
The Administrator's Guide mentiones the possibility to install a certificate with the wadm CLI, so I tried that:
    wadm> install-cert -v --config=www -y server -n Server-Cert /www.crt
    Please enter token-pin>
ADMIN4086: The Certificate could not be installedThe CLI Reference Manual says for the command install-cert, option --replace*:
"Note – --replace option of install-cert CLI is deprecated
and currently using this option may not work as expected.
For replacing a CA-signed certificate, users should delete the
cert using delete-cert CLI and then install the new one
    using install-cert CLI."
    wadm> install-cert -v --config=www -y server -n Server-Cert --replace /www.crt
    Please enter token-pin>
ADMIN4112: No Private key foundOK, so maybe if I had installed the first certificate (before generating the new CSR) that would have worked, I don't know.
Deleting the old cert doesn't work at once:
    wadm> delete-cert -v --config=www Server-Cert
    Please enter token-pin>
ADMIN4139: Certificate Server-Cert is being referred to by listeners: http-listener-2So before deleting you have to remove the certificate from the listener. Then:
    wadm> delete-cert -v --config=www Server-Cert
    Please enter token-pin>
