Problem when displaying a Information Box in a report
Hi Guys,
I have used a concatenate statement as below
Concatenate 'Total Records:' some field value 'Correct Records:' some field value 'Error Records:'some field value into one FINAL.
MESSAGE i398(00) WITH FINAL..
I defined FINAL as FINAL(200).
In debugging i am getting complete value .But while displaying i am getting only
'Total Records:' 5 'Corre "something like this.
Is there any limitation I am getting for concatenate statement.Let me know.
How to display the full record in output.
Thanks,
Prasad.
Guys, I got it resolved.

Authorization problem when displaying icons in BW Report
Hi All
I have the following problem when display BW Report as iView: The report data itself is displayed perfectly but to display the icons (like DrillDown arrows, Hierarhy level open arrows) the Windows login message "Connect to <my BW server.com>:8000" appears and I have to enter BW user name and password explicitly. The system for BW is defined, the user is mapped, UIDPW method is used. Again, the report data itself is displayed, the problem is only with icons. I can see that the path to icons is like:
http://<my BW server>.com:8000/sap/bw/Mime/BEx/Icons/s_b_up.gif
How could I rid of this authorization request?Thanks! I already did this and it helped for most of icons. But for five remaining icons i still get authorization request althoug these icons are in the same path. The icons are:
http://<server>.com/sap/bw/Mime/BEx/Icons/cascading.gif

Problem in displaying Thai fonts after migrating from Reports 2.5 to 6i
Hi,
We have recently migrated our reports from Reports 2.5 to 6i.
When we were using Reports 2.5, we could display The Thai Fonts correctly, but after migrating to 6i, the data retrieved from database is being displayed as junk characters.
In Reports 2.5 we had set a registry variable ORA_CHARSET_CONVERSION to NO_CHARSET_CONVERSION. We were using NLS_LANG as AMERICAN_AMERICA.WE8IS08859P1 in 2.5.
If we change WE8IS08859P1 to US7ASCII for Reports 6i, the data retrieved from database is being displayed correctly in Thai fonts, but the labels become junk characters.
Do we need to do any special setup in 6i?
Nigam.Hi All,
Whilst doing the migration (and god knows how long this will take) I need to document the log file of all functions and changes made. The manual states that there is a PLG file created however, I can't seem to find it. I'm running the conversion one by one and not in batch mode. Can someone help me locating the PLG log file.

Problem with display of check boxes in 10.1.7
We create PDF versions of our infopath documents for users to download. Several users who have upgraded to 10.1.7 report that any checkboxes or radio buttons come out flat and blank. They display fine in 10.1.6 and older and version 11. Only 10.1.7 seems to be affected. Any one else seen this issue?
We can change a setting on our tool to add the fonts to the file and then they start working again but file size doubles.
5.16 Select PDF Standard (PDF/A, PDF/X, PDF/SiqQ) By default the converter can generate PDF documents in conformance with PDF 1.4 standard. This standard is accepted by Adobe Reader 5.0 and the later versions of the Adobe Reader. Using the PdfConverter.PdfStandardSubset property the converter can be instructed to generate PDF documents in conformance with PDF/A, PDF/X and PDF/SiqQ and standards. These standards impose additional restrictions to the generate document. The PDF/A-1b standard (ISO 19005-1), used for long-term archiving of PDF documents, requires that all the true type fonts used by the document to be embedded in the document, the http links are disabled, the document does not use transparent objects, the document information properties are disabled. PDF/X-1a:2003 standard (ISO 15930-4), used to facilitate graphics exchange, requires that all the true type fonts used by the document to be embedded in the document, the http links are disabled, all the graphics are in CMYK color space, the document does not use transparent objects. A PDF/SiqQ compliant document requires that all the true type fonts used by the document to be embedded in the document and the http links to be disabled. -
Problem when displaying smartform in chinese language
Hi ,
I have copied a standard smart form into Z smartform and added few fields in it as per the requirement .
When I display form in english or german it prints correctly .
when I print it in Chinese it prints the workarea name which I am using to print the values of the fileds .
it prints as below
&wa_vbak-budat&
please help , I tried changing the font type and size but it still shows the same.
Regards,
Gayatri HemnurHi Gouri,
The first step for translation is that u have to change the regional settings in your computer. Or You should logon with Chinese language.
If you have done that already, i think the problem may be that in the reoport the length of the field is smaller than the space required for the chinese characters.
Even if it is done i think you can try doing this, go to se63 translate the field once again and save it. I think this should solve your problem.

Hi All,
I have a req where i have to display some records in my detail list after clicking on the primary list.
On th basis list i have a user command 'A' and some of records are being displayed on my screen.
Here i have to click on any one of the available checkbox and press the user command A.
Then some details are displayed in secondary list when i click back on the BACK button the checkbox which i have checked must be cleared.
But that is not happening in my program.
I tried using clear and refresh statements but it is not clearing my checkbox.
Kindly let me know how to clear the checkbox .
Thanks and Regards,
Yamini.AHi Yamini,
1. I understood ur problem and i could do at my end.
By simple means, we cannot achive that :
We have to use our own PF Status
In this pf-status, do not use std code BACK
2. Try what i have done :
a) new z program (code as given below)
b) in this program, create new pf-status ABCD
c) Add Two Buttons/Icon in this PF Status
(In App Toolbar)
d) SHOWDE , GOBACK.
e) Activate GUI Status, and the program
f) Now run the program (it will do what u want)
3.
REPORT abc.
DATA : ck TYPE c.
DATA : flag TYPE c.
PARAMETERS : a TYPE c.

SET PF-STATUS 'ABCD'.
PERFORM basiclist.
FORM basiclist.
sy-lsind = 0.

WRITE :/ ck AS CHECKBOX , 'Basic List'.

Problem when displaying images when working with PHP, mysql and dreamweaver in a brower
Hey Guys
I am new to dynamic development but I already did some
research and tutorials about how to get a dynamic web site working
with PHP and Mysql in Dreamweaver. I set up a test page to view
some content on it directly from the mysql database and it worked
just fine in dreamweaver only when I pressed the
live data view.
When I tried to view the same page using the browser preview
with firefox and internet explorer, plain text from the database
was correctly displayed on the brower but the images were absent.
In the mysql database I used the varchar as my picture data
type field so that I will refer in dreamweaver in the data binding
panel in the img.src to the picture column of my database.
I anyone can tell me what am I doing wrong so that my
pictures are not displayed in the browser when i click the browser
preview facility in dreamweaver I would be very very and very
pleased ! :)The odds are that it is the way that you have referenced the
images rather
than an issue with the database. If you have the images root
relative like
this "/images" then they will work in preview, and on the
webserver, but
will not view when looking at the file via localhost.
If possible make the links page relative and then they should
work fine.

Problems when displaying html in internet explorer
I am trying for two weeks to make an HTML code looks good in
IE (internet explorer), but I have been unsuccessful. The code
looks great on Firefox, but really bad in IE. Here is my code
Web
page
Plase help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1This is not the code on the page you have linked. That page
has no doctype.
It appears you have used ImageReady to write the HTML for
this page (it has
the hallmarks - uppercase tags, unquoted attribute values,
and zillions of
col-/rowspans). Such HTML is notoriously bad for use on the
web. Please
read this to see why I say that -
http://apptools.com/rants/spans.php
Anyhow, I think it's the table code that is letting you down.
Do you know
enough HTML to build this page in DW?

Poor performance when using drop down box on web report
We are using dropdown box functionality in web reporting to allow easy selection of characteristics values. We have 4 dropdown boxes
that represents Region, Area, Country and division.
We need to use booked_values = 'Q' to show only relevant values for selection in the dropdown. However the issue is takes a long time for results to appear
on the template. Read from Fact table is quick but process of deriving drop down values is very slow.
<object>
<param name="OWNER" value="SAP_BW"/>
<param name="CMD" value="GET_ITEM"/>
<param name="NAME" value="DROPDOWNBOX_1"/>
<param name="ITEM_CLASS" value="CL_RSR_WWW_ITEM_FILTER_DDOWN"/>
<param name="DATA_PROVIDER" value="DATAPROVIDER_1"/>
<param name="BORDER_STYLE" value="BORDER"/>
<param name="GENERATE_CAPTION" value=""/>
<param name="IOBJNM" value="ZPC_ORG14"/>
<param name="BOOKED_VALUES" value="Q"/>
<param name="TARGET_DATA_PROVIDER_1" value="DATAPROVIDER_1"/>
ITEM: DROPDOWNBOX_1
</object>
Do you have any suggestions on how to improve performance on drop down?
Thanks, JayDear Jayant Dixit,
1) If the values in the drop down box....are NOT dependent on user selection...then webserver can send them along with the first page....and cache them on client m/c...for multiple client/server dialogs....
2) If the values are changing based on what the user selected from a previous input......then...you need to do some research on how SAP Webserver could optimize the "network traffic"......For example: a) Apache webserver has a module that compresses the content on the webserver side and then send to the client...b)A Client browser plugin decompresses the received packet and displays appropriately....
3) We may need to research the latest SAP webserver capabilities....
Good luck, BB -
Vertical offset problem when printing labels after editing with Crystal Reports
Hello,
We are still using the RDC component of Crystal reports in some of our C++ Software components. Label design is done with a very old Version 8.5 of Crystal, the Clients use the 10.5 runtime for printing.
This was running on Windows XP and Server 2003 for a Long time. Recently we changed to Server 2008 R2 (english) and Windows 7 (de) on the Clients. Again we installed CR 8.5 on the Server for Label design and a 10.5 runtime on the Clients for printing. Now something strange happened. If we just open a Report file with CR on the Server and save it (doing no changes), there is a Problem with printing on the Clients. The line spacing is now wrong. It´s about 5th the value as it should be. This only happens on the Client. The reports still print ok from the preview Windows of CR on the Server.
However, we have to Change Labels. As a Workaround, we installed CR also on one of the Windows 7 Clients. And this is working. We can save Labels unchanged and they are printed with the correct line spacing on the Clients.
Of Course, this should be solved in the future, because the Clients are placed in our production area and it´s not a good place for sitting and changing Labels.
i´v no idea what could be the reason?
Greetings, JörgThis might be due to differences in default/specified printer (or printer driver) across the machines involved.

You must call function module 'READ_TEXT' with the following parameters:
ID = The technical text id number (see table TTXID for OBJECT = 'VBBK' for a list of valid values)
LANGUAGE = your local language
NAME = sales document number (all 10 digits with any leading zeros)
OBJECT = 'VBBK'
You will need to call the function module once per text type id (the list on the left hand side in VA02, header texts screen). The text from the right hand side will be in an internal table LINES after you call the 'READ_TEXT' function module.
If you just want to print directly from VA02, then choose the details button which takes you to another screen with Print functionality.
Regards,
Jamie
