Problem while creating BEx Query

Hi all,
I have to calculate the difference between Receipt Date and Schedule Line Date in the Query level. The thing is both are Characteristics.
I want to know how to calculate the difference.
Can anyone help me to solve this problem.

Hi Mahi,
Create a variable on receipt date and schedule line date of type replacement path.
Create a calculated key figure which basically subtracts value of variable defined for receipt date and variable defined for schedule line date.

Problem while opening Bex query on the web

Hello BW experts,
I have a problem while opening Bex query from my SAP Favorites.See below.
When i double click on the query, i get the following page, with the server name KBWS01QX.
But, from RSRT Tcode, select the query > query display as HTML > Click on ABAP Web , click execute as shown below, it is going to the correct URL as in the 2nd screen shot below.
My question is why is it going to the wrong URL when i open it from SAP Favorites menu?
I want it to open the same URL as it opened from RSRT(which is the right one)
What is the Config needed to make it to work from SAP favorites.
Any help would be appreciated.

From RSRT, this time I clicked on JAVA WEB, and i get the below URL, which is the same URL i was getting when i executed the query from SAP favorites.

It seems that it is trying to connect to Java portal something services may be, but i want it to open in ABAP web only.

Problem while running BEx Query

Hi All,
I had reqiurement of calculating the difference of the two dates.I calculated Date Difference but I am getting problem when I run the Query.
The problem is " I am finding the difference between Schedule Line Date and Posting Date. There are some blank spaces in the cube over Schedule Line Date and also over Posting Date. While running the Query Blank Space is taken as # symbol and while calculating the differences it is giving the differences in Lakhs."
Can anybody help me to solve the problem " To remove the # symbol and calculate the differences properly".

Use the Boolean concept like below:
I hope you are using formula varibles to get Dates into the formula.
Lets assume fv1 is formulavarible on Schedule line date and FV2 is Formula varible on Posting date.
(FV1 == '' OR FV2 == '') * 0 + (FV1 <> '' AND FV2 <> '') * (FV1-FV2).

After reading similar discussion in the OTN Discussion page ( [Thread: Unknown abstract schema type |http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=602826] ) I reviewed how I was creating my EntityManagerFactory. I realize also more information is required for a more complete understanding of the circumstances.
I originally created a project in Netbeans using the wizard to create a JSF Project from Entity Classes. Through trial and error I produced from the resulting JSF Web pages a maintenance project for a given table in the database. I was then given the task to split the table and build a new project utilizing the existing entity classes in a production project.
After the table was split and the new entity classes created I then entered the task of starting a new project using the entity classes in the production project. To do this I used the Netbeans wizard to create the JpaControllers in the production project. I copied as much code as I could from the working table maintenance project I had just completed. I have now started to connect the two projects. I have included the production project with the entities as a library project. I created the persistence.xml file in the new project with the same persistence unit name as the production project. I have included the Toplink Extensions as a library in the new project (even though the production project has the entity classes). From what I have been able to glean I am thinking my EntityManagerFactory declaration may be misdirecting the finding of the Empdata schema in my new project. Here is how I declared my EntityManager in the example given:

Problem while creating xml with cdata section

I am facing problem while creating xml with cdata section in it. I am using Oracle 10.1.0.4.0 I am writing a stored procedure which accepts a set of input parameters and creates a xml document from them. The code snippet is as follows:

Hi all, i'm new to Mac book & Xcode. I'm learning and facing problems while creating a new file for Xcode. Before i upgrade the software, i have no issue to create simple steps in apps. After upgrade Xcode to 4.6 version, i'm facing lot's of issue eg.
1) "the identity "iphone developer" doesn't match any valid certificate/ private key pair",

Error while integrating BEx Query with Cognos

Hi all,
we have made 999 rows and 150 columns..
but we r unable to integrate it with cognos if we remove free characteristics....
and it thows me the following error
1.BAP-ERR-0002 a BAPI error has occured in the function module RFC_READ_TABLE. NOT_AUTHORIZED
2.error when generating data provider
3.Query is too large
Please do reply immediately with the correct solution

Problem while creating URL iview (in EP7.0)

Hi,
I encountered a problem while creating URL iview (in EP7.0) as when I selected the iview template for creating the URL iview, the content area got displayed as
"No templates to display. You are not assigned to any existing templates."
please assist me in this regard.

I am still getting the same messages even after creating the iview template in EP7.0
Created through:
content Admin --> portal content --> <folder>new --> iview --> seleting "Portal component - create an iView from a portal component contained in a deployed portal archive (PAR file)" <next> --> seleting "com.sap.portal.appintegrator.sap" <next> --> webdynpro <next> --> finish.
Open object for editing...--> Object is a Template to Yes.
Result :
content Admin --> portal content --> <folder>new --> iview --> seleting "iview template- create an iView from an existing iView template" <next> which displays the same message.

Strange problem while execution of query....

I am facing a strange problem while executing the query.
I have one query ,its old one ,till yesterday everday it was working fine ,
But today i am trying to execute that query ,execution process takes very long time ,finally no response from bw server.
its an important report in our company
I checked query , Every thing is ok ,bze i haven't made any changes
So i need some suggetions .like where can i check and what can i do?
ASAP .... So Please ...its very urgent....

Problem while creating sales order

   We are facing a problem while creating a sales order in R/3. The sales order number is getting generated. But we are not able to view the same in the backend meaning it is not there in the database. Any inputs would be of help.

I've got a problem with this too. I use the BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2 with BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT and the webdynpro shows me the document number created in R3 with a Success message. But when I go to R3 and try to display the created sales order, it doesn't exists. So... Maybe I'm doing something wrong with the BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT. ¿Can anybody help me with this?
The code I use is this:
When the user pushes the SAVE button in the WebDynpro, this code executes:

Problem while creating JCA connection to MDM server

Hi All,
I have restarted my mdm connector(com.sap.mdm.tech.connector) along with the applications related to Enrichment Controller. All applications restarted successfully. After that I tried accessing the URL
http://MDMSERVER:50000/MDM_EnrichmentController/WorkflowPolling?process=Monitor
but I am getting following exception in this page
Polling Repository
    name=Vijaybabu_Repo_on_MDMSERVER, status=No repository connection, error description=com.sap.mdm.net.ConnectionException: Problem while creating JCA connection to MDM server MDMSERVER
        Enrichment Request Threads
Could somebody help me pointing if something I have missed..

I have verified the repository and found 0 fatal errors, 0 non-fatal erros and 0 warnings. I also checked the MDM Factory and Connector service is running fine.

Also check the error message(long text) and paste it here...
check if you are either creating a "second" Delta DTP ( if an existing Delta DTP exists, then system will not allow you create a second DTP) and will throw an "overlapping" error

Problem while creating Item Data in OCA application

I am creating a PDA application (OCA) for NW7.1.
I am facing problem while creating Sales Order. I can create the Header structure. But when I Create the corresponding item structure for the header , the items are not getting created. After Sync I can only see the header structure in the middleware.
I am using the following code to create the header and item.

Hello Priya
in your case as the DOs are of upload only type, you are not able to create a
child on an already created header, because updates are not allowed for upload only DOs.
So in this case you first have to create an instance of the header first and then create an item. And only after this call a commit on the model
