Problem while dropping snapshot

Dear sir
I am a junior dba, now I have a problem while I drop a customerinfo snapshot from Oracle 9.2.0.4 database. It seem to be the snapshot has been dropped correctly. But I found it's still remained in user's schema and looks like normal table.
I tried to drop it again but I got error ORA-12083: must use DROP MATERIALIZED VIEW to drop "customerinfo". But when I used command DROP SNAPSHOT CUSTOMERINFO; and DROP MATERIALIZED VIEW CUSTOMETINFO; It's still error ORA-12003 : materialized view "CUSTOMERINFO" does not exist.
Please give me some advice.
PS. Our system is Linux RHAS3 and Oracle 9.2.0.4 Database.

It could be that the MV was created on a prebuilt table.
If that is the case, the table must be dropped separately.
First make sure that you actually want to drop the table and lose the data.
Look for 'PREBUILT' under 'CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW' in the docs.

I am facing a problem while dropping a table in Oracle 10g.
I am able to find the number of records in the table but unble to delete it.

SQL> drop table merchant_audit;

I have to drop this table from the database. Please help.

Read this example :

SQL> create table merchant_audit(col1 number);

SQL> create public synonym merchant_audit for merchant_audit;
Synonym created.
SQL> grant select on merchant_audit to merchant;
Grant succeeded.
SQL> conn merchant/merchant
Connected.
SQL> select count(*) from merchant_audit;
COUNT(*)
0
SQL> drop table merchant_audit;
drop table merchant_audit
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
SQL>
See owner into the dba_tables, and if synonym into dba_synonyms.

Problem while dropping tablespace

Hi all,
I am getting following error while i am trying to drop tablespace
ORA-02449: unique/primary keys in table referenced by foreign keys.
I am using followin statement to drop tablespace;
drop tablespace QAREF430 including contents and datafiles;
wat might be the problem?

Problem while dropping a .JSFF onto .JSPX page

I have a very simple BTF with just an output text filed and a blank Main page (.JSPX) . Whenever I am trying to drop.JSFF on to .JSPX. it prompts me for an component Identifier. I dont know what to put in that Prompt.Please help me. I am struck

Problem while dropping partitions

Hi All,
I'm using oracle 11g. I have 2 tables A and B. A is the master table and B is the child table. Both the tables are partitioned based on month. Now when i have to drop partition for previous month, i first drop partition from table B then from table A. With table B the partition is getting dropped successfully. But when i try to drop partition for A it gives an error as it is a master table. Table A does not have any data in the partitioned to be dropped that is being referenced by table B. How do i drop the partition for master table.

Problem in Dropping Constraints..

Hi All,
I am facing problem while dropping and recreating constraint.Requirement is i have table there is 4 check(C) type constraint and all are having different search condition.I need to alter table and drop one of them C type constraint and again recereate it.

It will return multiple rows.
when i do

its throwing error : ORA-00997 illegal use of long datatype
Now i am not able to drop and recreate constraint.I need to write a script and through script need to drop and recreate it.
Please help me to sort out above problem.

1) Rather than dropping and recreating a constraint, you're better off disabling and re-enabling it. Depending on what you're trying to do, you could also make the constraint deferrable and defer validation to the end of the transaction.
2) Do you name your constraints? If not, could you? The easiest way to be able to uniquely identify a constraint is generally to give it an informative name.

Ora-00604,ora-01422 error while dropping the table

Hi gurus,
I am using Oracle 10g R2 on windows 2000 platform,while dropping the table the following error occured.
ORA-00604 : error occurred at recursive sql level 1.
ORA-01422: exact fetch returns more than requested number of rows.
Need urgent help.

Is there an AFTER EVENT trigger defined on this database? Can you check that?
Secondly, was this database migrated from earlier version? I remember having seen this problem on 9i (it was 9.2.0.1 or 9.2.0.2; I can't recall exactly).

Stereo Audio Record problem (While recording video as well)

I just just bought Sony Xperia C3 dual yesterday. I'm having problem with audio recording. I installed the Sony audio recorder from Google play store but while recording in stereo mode with it the gain suddenly drops after 1/2 second(s). Same problem while recording a video with stock camera app as well, video quality is fine but the audio with it is,just worst. Tried third party app like regorge pro but faced the same problem. Tried disabling the AGC with it, but no good. Recording in mono mode just works fine and I get clear record.
Any solution?

@uliwooly This one i recorded today morning. The audio starts good & clear at the begining but just after one second it drops & then you can hear the bus engine sounds like waterfall. It's mono but so clear & sharp. Finally, as i dont have the mic swith option while recording video, all videos i record will have the same problem. This is definitely not the typical "sony" thing to carry on.

Problem while downloading OS X Lion

I have an annoying problem while downloading the OS X Lion at about 60-70 % of the download its says that my internet dropped out try again, i've try this many time and still the same problem at 60-70% of the download. What can i do any suggestion?

Do you have the Install Mac OS Lion.app in your /Applications folder?
If so double-click to install.
If you no longer have the download then go to MAS > Purchases tab, hold option and download again.

Facing some problem while configuring Workflow Manager 1.0.

Hi,
I am facing some problem while configuring Workflow Manager 1.0. in my farm.
Scenario is,
I have installed and configured workflow manager in my farm, it was working well with no issue. But one of team member played with AD and deleted Farm administrator's entry from AD by mistake. So suddenly workflows get affected and stopped working.
Then I added administrator entry in AD, uninstalled the Workflow Manager and installed it again. But now while configuring workflow manager I am facing some issues that "Failure to adding user in BUILTIN\Administrative group. Please add it manually"
And after sometime it shows another error message that, "Starting service Service Bus Massage broken failed: Timed out has expired, the operation has not been completed"
If I go for services then "Service bus Message broker" service is not running properly (Its status is just showing "Starting") and don't starts.
I have also added the user in BUILTIN\Administrator, IIS_IUSER, WSS_WPG group of the machine from computer manager - user and groups.
Also given permission to databases, and assign role of sysadmin and dbcreator to user
I also tried following steps
1) Stop all services associated to workflows
2) Uninstalled workflow manager
3) Deleted all databases associated with workflows
4) Installed workflow manager and tried to configure.
But showing same error.
If I use another SharePoint server farm to configure workflows, there I am not getting first error of adding user to BUILTIN\Administrator group. but second error remains same.
We having SQL server and Active directory at another machine and FARM at another machine, if I use local admin for configuration of the workflows (as local admin can start any services) but entry of local admin is not Active directory so can not assign SQL's
sysadmin, and dbcreator role to local admin.
I am attaching snapshot of error for better understanding.

Check to see what the service accounts are being used for these Workflow Manager 1.0 services:
Service Bus Message Broker
Service Bus Gateway
Workflow Manager Backend
All of these should be running and your workflow service account should be running all of these. If any are still configured under the old service account, they'll need to be updated. Next, check to see what service accounts have access to the
Workflow Manager 1.0 databases:
SbGatewayDatabase
SbManagement
SbMessageContainer
WFInstanceManagement
WFManagement
WFResourceManagement
The Workflow Manager service account should be mapped as the DBO for all of these. if any are still configured under the old service account, they'll need to be updated.
Given the complete loss of the original workflow service account, and the resultant impact on security configuration throughout the workflow farm, I would recommend performing a re-installation. Do it thus:
Launch Workflow Manager Configuration Wizard
Select the Leave Workflow Manager Farm
Stop all workflow services (see above list)
Repeat steps 1-3 for each instance of Workflow Manager 1.0 Server installed.
Delete all Workflow Manager databases (see above list).
reboot.
Start new installation.

Problem while resizing datafiles..

Hi Experts,
Im facing problems while resizing my datafiles. I am using Oracle 10g on Windows 2003 server.
I had a datafile of size 20GB.
I have 3 schemas sch1, sch2,sch3 and all have objects.
I dropped sch1 and truncated some tables in sch2.
I found the freespace available in my datafile 16GB.
When I try to resize the datafile to 5GB, I am getting ora-03297 error.
I checked for object that are beyond 5GB using the follwing query.
I found sch3 objects are present beyond 5GB mark on that datafile.
How can I resize the datafile to 5GB??
Is there any other way to resize the datafile?? Please help me.

Problems with dropped frames in FCP 4.5 Log & Capture

Thanks for the advice on my previous post regarding sound problems - those are now sorted, but I am having problems with dropped frames in Log and Capture. I am using FCP 4.5 with OS X 10.4.10 on a Powermac G4. CPU 867 mhz dual processor. L2 Cache 256 kb, L3 cache 1 mb. Memory 1g. Bus speed 133hz. I am capturing from a Canon XM1 via Firewire. The scratch disk is a 500gb Seagate FreeAgent USB 2.0, 7200rpm.
Basically, the video and audio are fine while playing back in Log and Capture and I can control the device, but any attempt to capture, whether Capture Now or Clip result in a very jerky picture and aborts with dropped frames after a few seconds. The sound is ok for the few seconds before it aborts. There do not appear to be any problems with the timecode.
My capture preset is DV Pal 48hz.
Any advice or pointers gratefully received.

Well quite. I have just tried it in the internal hard drive and it works fine now. I am going to have to capture everything to my small hard drive and move it across to the external. Then, when I have finished I am going to bang my head against the wall and buy an external HDD with Firewire.

Problems while doing following Tutorial

Everything is fine until I reach the step to create the databinding.
After I drag and dropped the table to the databinding field, I get following warning:

And after I finished the tutorial, I don't get any data, in every case, wether with or without a session.xml.

Problem while executing the package

Hi Guys,
I am getting the problem while executin the package for 1 of the interface named PRE_SYNC_EX_ARMY_VEH_DEL.
The source tables are EX_ARMY_VEH_TMP and CONTROL_DEL & target table is CONTROL_DEL
All the three tables are in the same schema named RTO_STAGE.
I am looking in the operator as at the first session is in the process(running mode) with "DROP FLOW TABLE" as the message while all other sessions are in the waiting mode related to that interface PRE_SYNC_EX_ARMY_VEH_DEL.The previous interface before it ie PRE_SYNC_AXLE_DEL & PRE_SYNC_AXLE_DELNR is running okk(with all succesful session).
**In one statement I can summerize that execution of package is halting/stopped at one interface & not showing error in operator(showing running)**
what would be the problem?

Hi,
You didn't mention the exact error.
Did you check if your interface succeeds outside the Package?
If yes, have you included any odiFileWait event which's why other tasks are kept in Wait mode?
In any case, if there's an error, the task with the red-colored icon shows the one with problem. Double-click it & go to the Execution tab to get the exact error
