Problem while opening PDF attachment in Inbox

Hi all,
I am sending PDF attachment through email to inbox.
When am trying to open PDF attachment i am getting error-
'There was an eror opening this document.The fuile changed and couldnt be open'
When i click on attachment some bytes are getting transfere essage is displayed in lower toolbar.
Please guide to resolve this problem.

Error while Opening PDF attachment from Mail

Hi,
We two Output Types created ZNEU and ZAUF. Two Smartforms are created for the same Output Types. The Issue now is, When ZNEU triggers and send a mail the document is properly decoded and gets opened but for ZAUF it doesn't. It says File damaged.

Please paste the part of code where you are getting error.
And if you are not clear about where the error is, try searching sdn or google with the error message that you are getting as this issue has been discussed many times earlier.

Error while opening PDF attachment sent via mail

Hi,
I am attaching PDF file to PO in me22n and sending the same file as attachment in the mail to the vendor using class CL_BCS.
The mail is sent to the vendor successfully and they are able to successfully open the PDF attachment. But in some cases the mail is successfully received but while opening the attachment it is giving the error as file is corrupted.
Please help me to resolve this issue.

Hi,
I would like to know what font type, you are using in the forms.
Ideally it should be HELVETICA .
If you are using any other font in your style/form,try changing it to HELVETICA & Test.
Also Check the OTF data at the call of gen. FM,before converting it to PDF.

Problem while opening PDF form in ABAP

Hello All,
We are getting error while opening results in trip transaction.The form we are using is standard PDF form.
I did all ADS configuartion.
But while opening the URL Http://Host name:port/AdobeDocumnetservices/config
it is asking me user name & password.I am giving user as ADSUSER.But it is not accepting.
ADSUSER is the user used in the RFC & services in JAVA.
(Java & Abap are in the same server).
Can anyone help me?

and follow the path and check whether you have the entry or not.
Please make sure for your HTTP destination service configuration.

After an upgrade to Netweaver 4.0, the following code for opening a pdf file constructed from a byte stream passed from an RFC fails.

We are also opening a pdf file constructed from a byte stream passed from an RFC. Our problem is that we are experiencing inconsistent results. The file appears to open on some PC workstations but not on others. When it doesn't work we simply get a blank screen in the window. Did you resolve your issue? If so, perhaps you can provide us with some suggestions for solving our problem.

Sounds familiar but not sure. Have you tried using OTF format in stead of PDF and in the file name use document.pdf??

Cache issue while opening an attachment

We are facing the cache problem while opening an attachment in the webdynpro application.
When we clear the cache of the browser, then we are able to open the attachment.
Can we prevent this from the application side.
All the attachments are stored in the backend (CRM) system.

Error while opening PDF in mail attachment

Hi All,
In smartform i am sending a mail with attachemnt as PDF file,there is one more option like preview of smartform .
issue is like i am able to see the preview of the same record but when it is sent in mail attachement,and while opening PDF its showing error that file can not be open it is corrupted.

That was my problem: binary data was incorrectly converted (often because of Unicode systems).
I returned
        bin_filesize          = v_len_in
        bin_file              = l_binfile
from the function module CONVERT_OTF, then converted the xstring data (l_binfile) into an internal table (t_objbin) to send to the mail send function with the following function module:

Getting error while opening pdf on server

I am working on jdeveloper 11.1.1.4.0.
I have a use case where on click of link , generating a dynamic pdf. The pdf i am arranging with the help of itext through backing bean. It is generating as well downloading the pdf.I have used filedownloadlistner to call the generate and download pdf methods.
On integrated weblogic server the pdf is working fine, but when i deploy on server while opening pdf getting error :

If the pdf file don't open on the server where you created them, they won't open on the client side either.
The code you are using should be refactored to use different file names for the generated files. In a multi user environment (which every web application is) you overwrite the file generated with each new request, even before the file is loaded by a client. This will corrupt the file a client is loading and you get the error you see.
Next I would look into org.apache.commons.io package (http://commons.apache.org/io/) which has utility classes which allows easy handling of streams without looping over the data.

Open PDF Attachment with Adobe Reader put GW to background

Hello all,
We have problems with opening pdf attachments from GroupWise client 12.02 with Adobe Reader 11.0.06. The attachment opens fine, but when opening the attachment, the mail and GroupWise client immediately are placed to the background in Windows. So when closing Adobe Reader, the user won't come back in the mail but in another application that was open and the user have to click on groupwise in the taskbar to go back to the mail.
There is no problem with opening other attachments from other applications (like Word or Excel) or when opening the pdf with Adobe Standard. It happens with every user.
They are working in a Citrix Xenapp 6.5 environment on Windows 2008R2 (it also happens if working in a RDS session)
Any thoughts?

Are you trying to say that all of the apps mentioned are running as
XENapps? If not please specify which are local vs remote.
What is the client OS being run as that may also factor in.
Worth trying another PDF reader such as FoxIT reader to better see
which side is driving that behaviour.

Cannot open pdf attachment in my e-mail I can open pdf files on the hard drive
I am using Windows Internet Explorer 9, Microsoft Vista
When I receive an e-mail with a pdf attachment a box pops up
What do you want to do with
get attachment __ aspx ? file =
size: 3.11 kb
from: blu166.mail.live.com
open
the file won't be saved automatically
save
save as
cancel

Microsoft upgraded Hotmail e-mail accounts to Outlook.com
The Print Screen key has no function.....when the 2 boxes mentioned above appear on the monitor (which I have detailed) they require action or I cannot proceed to another screen or function.
Maybe my problem should also be sent to Microsoft Customer Service...your thoughts.
I note there has been 106 views hard to believe that no one else has had this problem.

Problem statement: Outlook 2013 email message goes behind main Outlook window when opening PDF attachment with Adobe Reader 11.0.3
Environment: Windows 8 x64; Office 2013; Adobe Reader 11.0.3
Steps to reproduce bug:
1. Open Outlook 2013
2. Open email message with PDF attachment
3. Open PDF attachment (with Adobe Reader as default PDF viewer)
4. Close Adobe Reader
Results: Original email message with PDF attacment now sits behind the main Outlook window
Expected results: Original email message should be on top of main Outlook window as it was when opening the PDF attachment
Note: Adobe Acrobat Profession performs as expected - the original email is on top of the main Outlook window - This only seems to be a problem with Adobe Reader.
Has anyone else experience this problem? If so, have you found a work-around?

From: new window opens behind existing window - how to modify?
I had this problem happening in Outlook.
If I tried to open an email, it would open behind the main Outlook window.
The same happened if I opened a link in the email - it would open behind the mail.
The fix that was suggested to me was so simple that I still don't believe it.
Right click on the task bar and unlock the taskbar, then lock it again.
Close down Outlook and re-start it.
Problem solved! Just dont know how or why.

It worked for me with Win 7 and OL 2003. Why? Who cares ... It is working.
