Problem with a banner

Hello, I have a problem with a banner on the website of my web design company . Some visitors may make it leads to. while others can not (not an isolated case).'s not worth the restrictions on clicks. I even tested: on the one computer I have not worked, sdrugogo works.

File size problems with a banner

I'm working on a banner in Illustrator CS3. It is 2m x .88m (roughly 33.5inches by 79inches) at 300dpi.
The banner is not complete and I can't save it as a pdf anymore for customer preview- it's too big. It also often reverts to overview and won't redisplay in preview.
The file has a full size background based on a photographic collage made in photoshop. This was flattened and saved as a pdf to come into Illustrator. There are other photographic objects that have been cut out in photoshop and saved on a transparent background to be placed in Illustrator. All these files are linked not embedded. Some of these have a drop shadow effect. The AI is over 440meg!!
I'll admit to being inexperienced with developing banners and posters this large. I'm sure I must be handling it all wrong. I know I can merge some layers but I'll lose my ability to move things around. I still need to add some photos over the top.
I'd really appreciate some advice on handling a project this large. I'm sure it is possible, lots of people are having pop banners this size printed with photgraphic images.
I'm working on 3.4gig pentium dual processor, 3gig RAM, running Windows XP pro.

For future reference, it's a matter of common sense. Generally speaking, the larger the final output format, the lower the raster resolution. Think about it this way:
Why are things printed big?
Because they are viewed from a distance.
Why is 150-300ppi the conventional-wisdom rule-of-thumb?
Because 150 lpi halftone ruling is a very common halftone screen for process printing viewed at (at most) arm's length. 150ppi means that the square raster pixels are at least as small as the halftone dots, so their square shape won't be evident (in other words, you won't see "the jaggies.")
Would a 150 lpi halftone screen be sufficient if the page was meant to be read by an ant? No. The ant is much closer. The ant would see a bunch of meaningless large circles. A much higher halftone ruling and therefore a much higher raster ppi would be required--but the page would be much smaller, too.
So forget this nonsense about 300 ppi raster resolution being needed for everything in print. Consider the optical scaling factor of displays meant to be viewed from a distance. No one makes billboards using 300 ppi raster images printed at 150 lpi halftone rulings.

Problem with a flash banner in a php includes

I am creating a site that has many pages and I made an includes file for the header of the page that contains my navigation bar, i then made a template of the page to use for all my pages.
Now I have created a flash banner that i want to play in the header of all my pages but i´m having problems getting it to show on all the pages.
Firstly I added the flash swf into my includes file and inserted the flash into the includes file page using insert flash from the dreamweaver menu (code below):

Great the flash ad works when I load the includes page in a browser and when i look at all my other pages that have the link to the includes file the flash file shows as a grey box with F in the center, however if i load any of these pages into a browser the flash ad does not show.
I also tried doing exactly the same, adding the flash to the header of my template and saving it. However this did not update all of the pages that use the template, the flash ad would play in the browser if I load the template in the browser. (in this instance the actual swf file was in my templates folder with the template page).
The final thing i tried was just to add the flash to one of my pages just to see if it would work when i loaded the page into a browers, it didn´t and i don´t understand why as it worked on the includes page and template page. (the swf file in this case was in the file along with all the pages of my site).
It doesn´t seem that i have a problem with the actual flash banner, i just cannot seem to put it in the pages that i want to.
Any help or input in this matter will be greatly appreciated.

I just noticed that one of the restore methods you posted was to put it into Disk Mode First rather than just use the resstore straight off, I Have tried that and seems to have solved the problem, If it has thank you. previously I have only tried just restoring it skipping this extra step. Hope my iPod stays healthy, if it doesnt its a warrenty job me thinks any way thanks again

Problem with flash banners in browser

I have a very frustrating problem with my browser (any browser) opening a flash banner. On my website we have a rotating flash banner and when I open it all four banners open at the same time. It happens on several pages, but not in every page with a banner. I have tried emptying my cache and turning off Kaspersky, but to no avail.
Does anyone know what could be happening???

my page is www.sojournfargo.org, but the page works on my wife's computer and the web designer's computer. I also can't see the banner on www.inforum.com where the news rotates.

ITunes, sync problem with iTunes 11.1.4

I've a problem with iTunes 11.1.4. When I want to add music on my iPodTouch 5g 7.0.4, I can't find how to add the music. The button "Synchronize" is always grey.
If I try to make anything I have a mesage on the banner at the top saying "Waiting for start the synchronization" or "Starting the synchronization" for 1 second.

Still having problems with VPN access

Hello!
I am having problems with my VPN clients getting access to the networks over a MPLS infrastruture. I can reach these resources form my Core network (172.17.1.0/24) and my Wifi (172.17.100.0/24) but not from my VPN network (172.17.200.0/24). From the VPN I can reach the Wifi network (which is behind a router) and the rule that allows that also allows access to the other networks but for some reason it is not working.
When I ping inside the core network from VPN I can connect and get responses. When I ping to the Wifi network, I can get responses and connect to resources there. A tracert to the wifi network shows it hitting the core switch (a 3750 stack) @ 172.17.1.1, then the Wifi router (172.17.1.3) and then the host. A tracert to a resource on the MPLS network from the VPN shows a single entry (the destination host) and then 29 time outs but will not ping that resource nor connect.
I've posted all the info I can think of below. Any help appreciated.

Hi Roger,
I bet you already checked it, but does the MPLS end router has route to VPN client subnet 172.17.200.x (or default) pointing to core rtr)?
Also, if the MPLS link has any /30 subnet assigned, you may need to include that as well in Object group LAN-NETWORKS.

The first problem is that when I get a notification (a mail, text message, whatever), I hear the sound that it makes, but the screen doesn't light up. Then, when I click the home or the turn-on / off button (basically when I'm in the lock menu), it doesn't show the notification either. Yet, in the notification settings, I've set up to show them. For example mails. I just received a few mails. For mail, I've selected the banner in the notification center. But I see no banner. I see nothing in fact. I can unlock my phone and go in mail, and see the mail there.
What could be the reason for this? I've recently done some changes on it, I mean, not exactly on the iPhone, but in iTunes. I removed all photos from my iPhone (over 3000) and all songs that were on it. I decided to sync only the latest 3 months of photos and 3 months of music. I don't think it's related but it's the last thing I've done with it, and since then this has been happening, so I thought I'd mention it.
My second problem is that, while I was updating my music and photo library on my iPhone, I also synced all app updates. I have around 6 or 7 of them, lurking there for a while, and I never got the time to download them in iTunes and sync them with my iPhone. So that's what I did as well. Strangely enough, when I visit the App Store app, under Updates, it still tells me I have 5 apps to update. I remember one I updated on the iPhone itself.
They're all listed there with the little bar that shows up when it's loading, except it isn't loading. It's just stuck there, at the very beginning. No, not even at the beginning, because the blue little bar that moves forward isn't even present.The also show up this way on my iPhone "desktop" (Home), and it says "Waiting..." below them.
I've tried syncing again, and also restarting the iPhone, but it didn't help. Anyone know what's wrong here?

I have a problem when using Google Maps, at some point my computer blanks the window and says there's a problem with display drivers, and it has recovered,but it doesn't. Problem doesn't happen with Int Explorrer, so I do not believe it is the computer

When using google maps through Firefox, after asking for a place which is not the general North America section which routinely comes up, the firefox screen goes white, with a narrow banner at the top. A message appears in the lower right corner which says something about display drivers having had a problem, but now have recovered. However the display doesn't recover and the banner message is that Firefox is not responding. When I go to restart Firefox if I go to the restore point, the page is still frozen out.
I do not believe it is a problem with my computer because it doesn't happen if I use I.E. to go to google maps, then G-maps works normally.
This phenomenon did not happen before the latest upgrade to either Google or Firefox. I have used Fiefox for a number of years and also Google Maps on previous computers and on this one, and not had this before.
This is a relatively young computer (Asus EeSlate 121) less than a year old. I have used Firefox since I bought it and until recently had no problem with Google Maps.

I solved it myself, after the "note" which came back from FF/Mozilla just as I finished my message, commenting on what it was that my system had , I wnnt back to check my plug-ins etc. I downloaded the latest Java, BOTH 32bit AND 64 bit versions and latest Firefox.
Now all is working.

What's wrong with this banner or IE6/7?

Something strange is going on with IE 6 and 7 re: my random
banners.

7 different banners - all of which play (eventually) on Opera,
Safari, FF, Netscape and even IE 5 on mac...BUT there is only one
banner which will not load on IE 6 or 7. Tried for about a week...
Have a look at the source code and it's the one called
"More_Sky" in the array code.
What could possibly be the problem with this not playing ONLY
on IE 6/7?

Problem with Cisco 861W router and outgoing VPN

We have a Cisco 861W router that is blocking an outgoing PPTP on the internal access point only. The outgoing VPN works when the traffic is through a wired connection or the connection is on another access point. We fail to make a connection only when connection to the 861W's internal Access Point.

The example behind the link is not complex enough. They are not using deq_condition and correlationId of the deque- options. If I set one of these values to NULL the code works fine but it complains about msgId if I have both values set with msgId=NULL?!?

DW CS3 problem with PNG-8 images in Design View?

DW CS3 (build 3481) on XP seems to have problems with PNG-8 images, specifically trying to display them in design view.
I had a very simple image that was able to be exported by Fireworks CS4 as PNG-8 using 4 colors (no transparency) for a tiny file size under 250 bytes.
DW could not display it at all, or even recognize it, reporting it was 0 x 0 in size. I published the page anyway, and it looked fine in the browser.
I upped the number of colors to 32, and DW could then display it in design view in the page I was working on.
I'm still having problems with other PNG-8 images. The attached file "temp.jpg" is a screenshot showing part of the design view in DW.
The smaller image on the left of the banner is "58_certificate_of_discharge.png" (attached), and the larger image below is used as the background of the DIV containing the form,"compassbk.png" (also attached).
These images all look fine in the browser, but terrible in DW.
I'm stumped as to why.

According to a different discussion, the images that are stuck as "Queued" are showing a bug in the virus scanning on the forums.
Now trying the recommended 'camera icon' method...
Looks like it worked.
Now compare what it looks like in DW CS3 in the design view:
It's a 16 color PNG-8 made in Fireworks CS4 with no transparency, size is 113 x 58, ending up at 1.71K.
If this is a repeatable problem in CS3, is there any hope of it being resolved, or am I stuck with upgrading to CS4 as my only option (assuming it's fixed in CS4)?

But it's not true that they are not captured from PLSQL.

SQL> So, I would expect that this is related to DBMS_MVIEW and a restriction on recursive, internal statements.
For example, if you capture sql plan baselines you don't capture baselines for sys and system statements, etc.
Further investigation required.
For example, let's build an MV:

I would suggest that it is because, being executed via DBMS_MVIEW, it is special and bypasses consideration for baselines.
Can we somehow circumvent this?
Perhaps, baselines being a pretty flexible vehicle that work off SIGNATURE (and PLAN_HASH_2).
Let's double check the signature and plan hash we need to reproduce.

Are baselines created for sql statements executed from PLSQL? Yes.
Are baselines created for internal statements from DBMS_MVIEW? No.
Why? Don't know. But I think it's expected behaviour.
Is there a convoluted way of applying a baseline to the internal refresh statement? Yes.
