Problem with a empty context

Hello All,
Please refer to following link where I provided the messaging Queues.

Basically the problem is when the value is sent to target it comes like...
After remove Contexts:
SUPPRESS
1234
SUPPRESS
After SplitByValue
null
1234
SUPPRESS
So the node is not creating the field at all in the target as there is null in the begining.
I tried by
1. Changing contexts with different combinations.
2. wrote a UDF to get rid of null in the begining. It dint work
help.

I tried with mapWithDefaults earlier but it was changing the null to SUPPRESS but no change in the target field output ( i.e it is still not coming )
Can someone please tell me how to do I get rid of null in the output?

Contract - problem with attachements (empty field in LOIO_OBJID)

Hi Guys,
We are using extended classic scenario of SRM 4.0 (SRM Server 500) and our latest support package is SAPKIBKS12. We have the following problem with contracts.
Sometimes when an attachment is added to a contract the system does not fill the following fields in tabel BBP_PDATT.
LOIO_CLASS: Normally filled with BBP_L_DOC
LOIO_OBJID: Normaly filled with a GUID size datastring
Whenever this happens and later on the contract is changed and released the system will raise an abort. We tried the following notes but no good result.
891293,919467,932602,964065. Some other notes that might be possible are 1042826/1085700/1083063 but we also don't have good experience with these ones.
Can anyone give us advice about two things.
1) Is there a way to fill the empty fields in BBP_PDATT so that existing contract will work properly again?
2) Does anyone know why this problem occurs and how to fix it for new contracts?

Problem with invalidating a context node

Hi,
Please see the code below:
String s = wdContext.currentSubitemsElement().getBase_Quantity();
wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportWarning(s);
wdContext.nodeSubitems().invalidate();
String s1 = wdContext.currentSubitemsElement().getBase_Quantity();
wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportWarning(s1);
For some reason, the context is not cleared after the invalidate command. Any ideas for this?

Hi Aviad,
Let me guess the origins of problem:
1. As far as you mentioned Subitems node, there should be a parent node, say Items.
2. Subitems node has either supplying relation role or supply function, Items has no supply function.
3. Then, if you invalidate Subitems, supply function is called or supplying relation is used to populate content. When you do contenxt reset, then all controller nodes get invalidated including Items. Hence Subitems has no parent and displayed as empty.
If all the above is true, then you may either to invalidate Items node or make Subitems node with no supplier (i.e. manually bind content instead).
Context reset works here, but, it's a bit "brute force" approach.

Problem with an empty collection

When a procedure executes
FOR i IN g_tabla_situacion.FIRST..g_tabla_situacion.LAST
LOOP
END LOOP;
and g_tabla_situacion has no elements, ORACLE returns a
"*-6502:ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error*"
How can I avoid this problem?
Now I am doing...

but it doesn't seem the best solution...

if i have only one item at the source it is working but when 2items are comming from the source my udf is not working.
can anyone help me if you have faced the similar problem or who is fimilar like this kind.

Problem with secure empty trash

I'm having trouble to secure empty trash. So basically I have a hard drive plugged in and because the space is getting really little I wanted to empty the trash so that I would have more space in the hard drive. But everytime I'm in the middle of the process it is never done because "The operation can’t be completed because you don’t have permission to access some of the items.". I tried to go to the disk utility to change the permission but the option is unavailable. Can someone please help me out? There's only 16GB left in my hard drive and I really need more space since it's storing too much trash right now. Thanks!
p.s. my hard drive is 320 GB spectra flash.

CONTEXT
I’ve been working my project with Jdev11.1.1.1, when I migrate to JDev 11.1.1.2. I realized that my project didn’t compile successfully as before besides I couldn’t see the design view in a WYSIWYG mode on my JSF pages.
I had installed (initially) in C:\oracle\Middleware Jdev 11.1.1.1 with WLS 10.3 (default in Installer)
A couple days ago I realized about the new Jdev release JDev 11.1.1.2 and I decided to migrate because of the IDE improvements such as Bugs Solutions, Maven support, code templates, etc).
The new version seemed to be non-compatible with WLS 10.3 because I couldn’t mount it in the same middleware so I installed the new one in C:\oracle\Middleware11g2, JDev 11.1.1.2 with WLS 10.3.1 (default in Installer).
EXAMPLE
I have created a new sample Project named JDev112App, it only has 1 java class, 1 ADF template and 1 JSPx to show the errors and differences between releases of the IDE… However, I also have added the screenshots of the Project in each IDE, also I have included a screenshot of my real project (Business App).
NOTE. Business APP project is under subversion SVN and the migration was done successfully when JDEv 11.1.1.2 opened it (it migrated automatically).
What should I do?? .. thanks

I think that the problem could be preferences/settings migration from Jdev 11.1.1.1.0 to JDev 11.1.1.2.0, because I migrated not only the application but also the JDev preferences ( "Documents&Settings...Jdeveloper..." ).
I have installed in a new machine without previous version of Jdev the new release JDev 11.1.1.2.0 and when I deploy my test application with errors ( showed in this post ), it works fine and also the design view is correct.
I am not SURE but I think the bug or problem could be also the preference/settings migration between JdeveloperS.
Can anybody tell me the real reason?? How can I fix it ... I don’t want to import each of my settings manually in JDev 11.1.1.2.0 ( I mean templates, javadocs settings, connections, repositories, etc).

Problems with synchronising fotos

Is there a way to upload foto albums manually?
For the moment I have the following problem.
1) When I upload a new foto album I'm forced to synchronise. But then all my music is gone. I do add my music manually. But that is overruled when I have to synchronise my foto albums. How to solve this one?
2) When I want to delete a photo album, that particular map remains on my ipod but empty. How to solve this?

Even when unchecking the box of sync music I keep having the same problem.
I synchronise my pictures (music sync is unticked as I do that manually) and all music and videos are gone.
Then the other issue with empty photo-albums is also still there. If I untick a box of the album I want to delete afterwards the album is still on my ipod but empty.
Normally the album should be completely deleted aswell.
How to solve this one?
Or shall I reset my Ipod and only use a full synchronisation for everything?
Then again the problem with the empty albums is still there.

the context of the controller looks like:

i've got the impression, that all my SubNodes are filled in the first Node1-Element. is there an error in the code above? because in the first place, i see every values in the first Element of Node1-views and if i navigate to the next Element of Node1, every views are empty.
for every Node (Node1, Subnode1, Subnode2) i've got an own view, that maps its context to the corresponding Node of the controller context, e.g for the SubNode1-View:

if the code is correct, perhaps it's only a viewing problem:
i use views that point on every node and display the values in that node. if i move in the view for Node1 to another node, the values for SubNode1 point to the correct values too, but the values for SubNode1.1 still stay on the old values. is the move of a grandfather node not correctly propagated to his first child?

Problem with CrossComponent Context Mapping with PopupWindow (web dynpro ab

The situation:
I have four views (View V1, V2, V2_popup, V3) in three Components C1, C2,C3.
View V1 is embeded in Component C1. View V2 is embeded in C2 with view V2_popup as Popup-Window.
View V3 is embeded in Component-C3. And at last the View of Component C2 and C3 are embeded in View V1.
The Problem is the CrossOver Context Mapping between the view V2 and V3.
My first way is the "direct context mapping":
I define a node in the ComponenteControllen from Component-C2 as interface and use it over the ComponentenController
from Component-C3 in view-V3. Now I bind an attribute of the mapped node to an ui-element (e.g: inputfield),
but the output of the Field is empty.
The second way is, that I define an external Mapping for this situtation.
I define a node in the componente-controllen from Component-C2 (an Component-C3)as interface with the attribute "Input Element (Ext)".
Than I map the two nodes with a node from Component-C1. That's works fine.
BUT, if I execute an action (e.g. action_save)in the popup for view-v2 (V2_popup) the changings from the inputfields don't write (show)in the context of the
popup-view. I check this with the debugger. And if I close the popup and open it again, the changings are visible.
Short: If I define a node with attribute "Input Element (Ext)", I don't can read changings from
the screen in a popup-window.
How I can solve this problem???

try this:
at first you have to instantiate all! used components in the wddoinit method of the componentcontroller in your main (c1) component.
e.g. instance of c2 Component
lr_usage_c2_comp =   wd_this->wd_cpuse_c2_comp( ).
IF lr_usage_c2_comp->has_active_component( ) IS INITIAL.
    lr_usage_c2_comp->create_component( ).
ENDIF.
and at the end set the reference:
l_ref_interfacecontroller = wd_this->wd_cpifc_c3_comp( ).
l_ref_interfacecontroller->set_usage(
    ir_usage_c2_comp = lr_usage_c2_comp ).
set_usage is a method in the c3 component controller,
METHOD set_usage .
DATA: lr_usage TYPE REF TO if_wd_component_usage.
lr_usage = wd_this->wd_cpuse_c2_comp( ).
lr_usage->enter_referencing_mode( ir_usage_c2_comp ).
After doing this the components are using the same instance and you can simply use direct mapping between the components.

Problem with searching for 'empty' emails with BAPI_BUPA_SEARCH

Dear ABAP'ers.
I have got a small problem with BAPI_BUPA_SEARCH.
I Use this BAPI to search for Business Partners with the Email condition.
I put rhe Email to lv_email variable, it works ok.
 lv_email = ' '
 CALL FUNCTION 'BAPI_BUPA_SEARCH'
 EXPORTING
 email = lv_email
 TABLES
 searchresult = lt_searchresult <= returns no BuPas
 return = ls_bapiret2 .
But I need to have a possibility to search for such Business Partners who have got no email address. Unfortunatellu when I pass an empty lv_email to BAPI, it returns no Business Partners whilst such BuPas exist in database.
Is there some possibility to search for those BuPas who have got no email address assigned?

and pick the PERSNUMBER or ADDRNUMBER and pick the Patners related to that ..

Problems with external context mapping

Hi ,
I am having the following problems with external context mapping from one WD component to another.
Problem description:
In the Component Interfaces I have defined a WD interface "InfA".
In the interface controller of this compoenent,I have ContextA and attributeA(cardinality 1..1).The contextA is marked as an "Input Element".
Now my webdynpro componentB adds InfA as used component.In componentB I decalre a contextB with attributeB and map it to contextA to set up the external context mapping.
Now I expect that if any webdynpro component implements this WD interface InfA ,he has access to contextA with the data getting filled from contextB.
After i have created the component for the used component I try to fill values in the source node contextB thru this code:
wdContext.currentContextB.setB(value);
But in the runtime I keep getting error nullPointerException for nodeContextB,suggesting that the mapping has not been completed.
Can anyone suggest due to what the error can come ,and, if its a webdynpro bug ,is there a workaround??

Valery : I personally checked by doing the example, if the names of value attribute are different in the child's interface and parents component controller then it throws the exception.
Sourav: NullPointer Exception is thrown when something is not properly initialised, if in the main component the cardinality of mapped origin is 1.1 then you need to access it element directly like:
wdContext.currentParentNodeElement().setFname("Abhijeet");
wdContext.currentParentNodeElement().setLname("M");
i will suggest just check out if you are declaring some element of value node and without initialising taking its use or what?
if this doesnt solve your problem, please post the expanded exception.

My target is an iDoc with this structure.:
IDOC
- E1OILT1
- - xxxx
- - xxxx
- - E1OILT2
- - E1OILT2
- - E1OILT2
- - E1OILT3
- - E1OILT3
For each B-record I'm going to produce an iDoc.
My problem is that all "C"-records shall into the first E1OILT3-segment and
all "D"-records shall into the second E1OILT3-segment.
It works well with the C-record but not with the D-records.
D is depend on C, but C dont need to have a D-record.
C could also have several D-records.
Don't know if I explained this good enough but i hope someone could give me an hint whats wrong with my context.

then i think you need to write some JAVA code to do this.
Create a User-Defined Function.
and start using some of the ResultList Methods.
check the blogs to how to do this.
it will take you some time beacuse you need to understand the concept of Context if you don't know already.
there is some methods like "addValue" that create a new Value.

Problem with Arabic font: In certain contexts, when writing Arabic with vowel signs (fatha, damma, kasra, sukun) a sequence of sukun fatha/damma etc. would reverse automatically. Is this a known bug?

Example: عَيْنٌ
would automatically convert to عَيُنْ
Funnily, it doesn't seem to happen here, but it does when entering text in a web interface (using Firefox, font Bayan) and when using Text Edit.
Seems to be a problem of a specific font, as e.g. Arial MS Unicode works fine. Any hints?

You can't do Arabic on MS Word for Mac. This app has never supported RTL scripts, so you need to use something else. Mellel is best, but Pages 5, TextEdit, Nisus Writer, Open/LibreOffice should work OK.
You switch between languages by using the "flag" menu at the top right of the screen or by using the keyboard shortcuts apple/command plus space. Go to system prefs/keyboard/shortcuts to make sure that is activated.
To see which key does what, you use Keyboard Viewer.

You place vowels on letters by typing the key for the vowel after the key for the letter. The vowels are on the option/alt keys, option/alt + a gives you َ
