Problem with a Webservice's proxy client re-generation...
Hi all,
I have a problem. I'm trying to re-generate a proxy client for a Web service and, when i'm about to finish WAS server ask me for an user. it shows me a window such as the window it shows when you launch (verify) a web app. standalone. Do i have to have a special permission for re-generate (generate) a proxy client for an enterprise service?. I tried to enter the user that i have in the server...and it doesn't work...please help
This proxy is based on a .NET Webservice. This Webservice is on a intranet server. When i launch the wsdl in a regular browser...it asks me enter an intranet user... (not was)...but the prompt that the WAS shows me when it is just about to regenerate...is an enter data logon of WAS, When i put my WAS User...doesnt work...ask me again for an user.... that is a bummer that you couldnt simulate my exact problem....

Problem with national characters on windows client
Hello there,
I'am having problem with national characters on windows client.
All national data stored in NVARCHAR2 colums, applications (.net) works fine,
but in sqlplus:
select city from test_table;
- everything ok, sqlplus shows national characters
select dump(N'<national symbols>') from dual
- returns
Typ=96 Len=12: 0,191,0,191,0,191,0,191,0,191,0,191
select * from test_table where city = N'<national symbols> '
- always returns nothing
As i understand the problem in
sql query text (and national literals) convertion
to servers "WE8ISO8859P1" encoding, Is it possible
to solve the issue?
Thanks in advance
PS.
Console in right mode (chcp=1251)
sqlplus shows russian messages well

NLS_LANG = RUSSIAN_CIS.CL8MSWIN1251N'<national symbols>', being part of an SQL statement, will be converted to the database character set (WE8ISO8859P1) before being parsed. Only if the client and the database are both 10.2 or higher, the client can encode the literal appropriately so that it survives this conversion.
In earlier versions, you can do the encoding yourself. Instead of the N'<national symbols>' literal use the UNISTR function: UNISTR('\xxxx\yyyy\zzzz'), where U+xxxx, U+yyyy, U+zzzz are Unicode code points of your national characters.

Problem with previews browser and email clients vs DW
Hey everyone. I am having an issue with DW. I wanted to see if I could get some quick help. I am having a problem with the DW Design looking fine and great on my screen in DW, but when I go to preview in a browser or upload to an Email client, it has a spacing issues. See pics for reference. The first is in DW, the 2nd is in Chrome. All browsers and MailChimp.com look the same.
Can I get some help into what I am doing wrong?I take it you are using an older version of DW - say DW5? First thing to know is that DW's Design view is not a browser. It's an approximation (and sometimes a poor one) of what you will see in the browser, as you are discovering. Second thing is that by just looking at a screen shot, we can only guess at what might be wrong. Please show us the code and we can tell you what actually IS wrong. Do this by either posting a link to the uploaded page, or by pasting the code into a reply here. If CSS is involved, please add that to your paste. And to be successful with this latter method, you must come to the web forum to make your post - email won't work.

Problem with Consuming ABAP Server Proxy WSDL in InfoPath
Tried to design a InfoPath (MS Office 2003) form from a WSDL file of a web service generated from an ABAP Server Proxy in a NW2004s SP10 system. InfoPath rejected this WSDL with error InfoPath cannot use the selected Web service method for receiving data because the method does not provide valid XML data. Tried other WSDL files from other web services from ABAP Proxy with InfoPath, all got rejected.
Validated the WSDL file with XMLSPY, no error. Tried to import the WSDL into XI 3.0, no error. Also tried the WSDL in .NET C#, also worked fine. It seemed only InfoPath does not like this WSDL from ABAP Proxy.
Created a similar web service in XI 3.0 and InfoPath had no problem with its WSDL. Then I compared the two WSDL files. There are differences. After try and error on changing the differences, I have nailed down to the XML tag that caused the problem. Please see the extracted WSDL line attached at the end. In the XI 3.0 generated WSDL the wsdl:message and the wsdl:part have the same name. In the ABAP Proxy generated WSDL the wsdl:part has the name Parameters which is different from the wsdl:message. After I copied the wsdl:message name to the wsdl:part name, InfoPath accepted the WSDL file without any problem.
I know the fix but I like to find out the root cause. Is this a known issue? Did we miss some configuration setting thats causing this issue? Any help will be much appreciated.

</wsdl:message>Anne Tarnoruder has pointed out to me that her SDN article "Consuming SAP Enterprise Services in a Microsoft Office InfoPath Form" has described the the cause and workaround of this issue on page 9. I am extracting it below and mark this thread as answered. Thanks to Anne but not sure how I can award point to her.
Currently SAP supports only the Document style of WSDL, and not the Microsoft-specific RPC style, which causes a problem when consuming SAP services in the Microsoft environment. In this example, you need to apply a workaround that involves a minor correction of locally-stored WSDL files:
a. In the Project Explorer toolbar, click the Show all files icon and expand the Web reference folder.
b. For each Web reference in the project, perform the following steps:
c. Open the WSDL file, replace all instances of <wsdl:part name="parameters" with <wsdl:part name="parameter" (remove the s in parameters) and save the file.
d. Right-click the Reference.map file and choose Run Custom Tool to invoke a utility that generates code for XML Web services. This recreates the local proxy. -
Problems with the build-IN SNTP-Client on cRIO9014&cRIO9012
Hi out there,
I have a problem using the build-IN SNTP-Client of a cRIO-9014 (and a cRIO-9012).
It seems that the cRIO sometimes gets another time (e.g. 28.01.1920 12:03:00) other than it should get (e.g. 31.08.2014 09:59:00).
I've found this problem in our measurement-files. They had some unusual timestamps (as showed in the following example).
To prevent the SNTP-Client from doing too many damages to our measurement-files, I built a time-validator (with a range of 5 min), which checks one of my servers (and let it write every time change to a log file).
The Log-File looks like (Where "$Message" is a custom-message. It is unrelated to the problem, but occurs every minute):
31.08.2014 09:58:00 $Message
31.08.2014 09:59:00 $Message
31.08.2014 10:20:00 Setting Time from 28.01.1920 12:14:09 to: 31.08.2014 10:20:00
31.08.2014 10:21:00 $Message
31.08.2014 10:22:00 $Message
31.08.2014 10:54:00 $Message
31.08.2014 10:55:00 $Message
31.08.2014 10:59:00 $Message
31.08.2014 11:00:00 $Message
As you can see, the cRIO loses its time somewhere between 09:59:00 and 10:00:00(UTC) and it has been set back at 10:58:XX (UTC). It is shown with the gap between the messages at 10:55:00 and 10:59:00.
The configuration for the timesync was:
[TIME SYNC]
source.rtc.enable=True
source_priority=sntp;rtc;
source.sntp.enable=true
source.sntp.address=192.53.103.108
source.sntp.interval=60
source.sntp.port=123
source.sntp.verbose=false
source.sntp.log=false
sntp.address is a public German time-server, hosted by our national institute.
I've set sntp.verbose and sntp.log to TRUE for more information, but have to wait some time for a logfile.
The network has the following scheme:
cRIO -> UMTS-Modem -> ISP-VPN -> Internet
Does anyone have had this problem and/or know, how to fix it?
Thanks for your help!
CaterosHi!
The problem happens sporadically, at first, we didn't even notice it, just that there are files missing and we got the strange logs. Now, with the workaround, we can finally trace the problem (and in some cases restore our measurement).
What do you mean with "connectthe cRIO directly to a router?"? Could you please explain it?
In the enclosure are more networkdevices, but only the cRIO uses the connection to the internet.
The "UMTS Modem" has also routing capacities, which we use to remote control both of the RIOs.
Thanks for your reply

PI Demo Examples problems with executing CTC template for client setup
Dear SAP community,
I use PI 7.30 SP 4 and get the following exception if I use the CTC template to set up the PI demo examples in client 105
and 106
Web Services Configuration
Description
Exception in step "SRT_TECHNICAL_SETUP"
Exception details : java.lang.Exception: BAPIRET2 SRT_ADMIN 050 Could not create service destination
State
Step was skipped
In client 107, the template works after I delete the SAP_WSRT user. In clients 105 and 106, this leads to the exception above,
If the SAP_WSRT user exists, I get the exception that this user alreadz exists if I run the template.
What should I do to fix this problem and properly implement the template on all clients?
PS: I use admin users with SAP_ALL rights. Maybe I use the wrong master password, because I use the one of my SAP_ALL user. This works at least for using the template within client107.
AndreasHi Mark,
in my case the workaround of deleting the service user works only in Client 107.
The additional problem with a missing service destination occurs already after deleting the service user in Clients 105 and 106. Will this additional problem also be treated in the new note?
Joerg-Joachim Klossika already added the workaround to this note for the existing service user I proposed to him.
I still cannot resolve the problem with the missing service destination.

Strange problem with AIX server and windows clients
I am having a real bizzare problem with WLS 7.0.1 running on AIX 5.1 and
clients on windows. We have J2SE Swing application as a client.
If the client is w2k or XP, the first client gets good response. If I start
another client the second client is horribly slow (2 sec vs 16 sec). Even if
I kill the first client the second client continues to be slow. If I have 2
clients open together, the first one continues giving 2 sec response while
the second one continues with 16 sec. For that matter if I start another
client after shutting down first one I get slow (16 sec) response.
If the client is NT client I always get good and consistent response from
the server. Irrespective of how many client I have on the NT machine, I keep
getting good response. NT and W2K laptops are seating right next to each
other on the same n/w and infact the NT is a much slower and lessor memory
machine than W2K.
We did similar tests keeping server on Solaris or NT server or W2K server,
and the clients "behave" normally i.e I get consistent repsponse time (it
may be slow or fast, but it is consistent and is consistent b/w NT and W2K).
We even tried putting my laptop on the same network as the AIX server, but
it did not help. Unfortunately some of our clients will be using AIX and
W2K.

Sounds like a reverse DNS lookup or similar network timeout.Thanks for the suggestion, but then why would the first client on w2k or XP
get a better performance and the subsequent clients get worse performance?

[SOLVED] Routing problems with ssh server and openvpn client
My current setup is an arch box behind my wireless router. My wireless router is running scripts to update the dynamic dns for my internet connection and forwarding incoming requests to port 22 on the arch box. Simple so far.
Now I'd like to setup OpenVPN on the arch box to connect to a 3rd party vpn service but still listen for ssh connections. This way I can have my arch box always connected to the vpn but be able to access it from anywhere. I believe the problem is that openvpn sets up a default route to send all outgoing traffic out over the tunnel, but I don't know enough about routing to make this work. I saw another solution in the forum was running virtualbox and I find that so inelegant. I'm planning on eventually learning more about ip route and iptables but I was also hoping that a networking guru could help me get this set up quickly in the meantime.
ip route while not connected to vpn
default via 192.168.1.1 dev eth0 metric 202
192.168.1.0/24 dev eth0 proto kernel scope link src 192.168.1.11 metric 202
ip route while connected to vpn
0.0.0.0/1 via 10.120.62.9 dev tun0
default via 192.168.1.1 dev eth0 metric 202
10.120.62.1 via 10.120.62.9 dev tun0
10.120.62.9 dev tun0 proto kernel scope link src 10.120.62.10
23.29.126.102 via 192.168.1.1 dev eth0
128.0.0.0/1 via 10.120.62.9 dev tun0
192.168.1.0/24 dev eth0 proto kernel scope link src 192.168.1.11 metric 202
Last edited by ricka (2012-11-05 17:14:48)First, meop, thanks for your reply. I did not use that method to solve the issue, but I'm going to do some more research into it (I'll speak to why I went another direction after the solution).
My solution so far has come from this resource http://forum.linode.com/viewtopic.php?t=8737
Since my server is behind a router, I do not have to worry about the public IP address changing and I was able to use the private IP in the route statements. Therefore, in my case, the solution was these three lines:
ip rule add from 192.168.1.11 table 128
ip route add table 128 to 192.168.1.0/24 dev eth0
ip route add table 128 default via 192.168.1.1
Keep in mind, as the article states, that applies to all ports (not just ssh). If you want to block other traffic, you need some extra iptables entries.
This also solves my end goal: Being able to connect to this 3rd party VPN with a simple ssh redirect from my always connected server. I can now ssh -D <port> <myhost>, set up chrome to use <port> as a proxy, and have everything redirecting over this VPN connection without any hassle.
meop, this setup is connecting to a 3rd party VPN service and they provided the config scripts for the client. I considered tinkering with that, but found this solution to work and I'm going to do some more reading about each solution to figure out which is the best overall.
enovak, I grepped dmesg and did not see any entries about martian source.
Now another question that comes to mind: What if this server were actually NOT behind a firewall and it's public IP changed? I think you'd somehow have to have a script to check to see if your Dynamic IP address changed and also have a route that only that script would use (send everything else out the VPN route). Then, if your IP address changed, you'd have to change these routes around. I'll leave that solution to someone else :-) -
Problem while invoking webservice-method in client-code
Hi,
I had written webservice-client-code (using uddi-ext.jar, as i am using uddi for publishing webservices.) which is invoking webservice method successfully with complex datatypes(both for return type and input paramters).
But while calling following webservice-method from my client-code:
public ComplexType[] getData(String[] p_str1, String[] p_str2)
it is throwing exception
The Exception is:
[ERROR] - 27 Mar 2007 12:34:38 -failed to invoke operation 'getData' due to an error in the soap layer (SAAJ); nested exception is: Message[failed to deserialize xml:weblogic.xml.schema.binding.DeserializationException: mapping lookup failure. type=['java:language_builtins.lang']:ArrayOfString schema context=TypedSchemaContext{javaType=[Ljava.lang.String;}]
Although I had done correct registration of mapping of ArrayOfString in client-code:
registry = m_Service.getTypeMappingRegistry();
m_TypeMapping = registry.getTypeMapping(SOAPConstants.URI_NS_SOAP_ENCODING );
m_TypeMapping.register( ArrayOfStringHolder.class,
new QName( "java:language_builtins.lang", "ArrayOfString" ),
new ArrayOfStringCodec(),
new ArrayOfStringCodec());
But some how it doesnt works.
I had searched on google as well but didnt find any reliable solutions.
Please advice.

Problem with special Character & in Proxy
Hi,
We have a File --> XI --> R/3 Scenario. In this scenario, from XI we are passing the data to R/3 by calling the Proxy. When the data in the file has special character like & (for example <Companyname>Dave&Busters</Companyname>), it is failing in R/3. But if I replace "&" with "&" in the file it works fine. Is there any solution to this problem without writting custom code in XI to replace & with &.
Thanks
Sudheer>But if I replace "&" with "&" in

No. If the sender of the message provides an XML format with an unescaped &, then the XML is not valid and therefore cannot be processed.
All adapters (IDOC, RFC, File with content conversion) perform the escaping and deescaping.

Urgent - problems with apache plug-in proxy resolution
Hi
I have apache ver as a plug-in to weblogic clustered servers running WL61 SP1. On
one of our boxes, we have a tunnelling to point to apache at port 80.
When I hit from outside (not inside the company extranet), I type in http://www.proxyservername.com/...
This is routed to apache and apache routes it to weblogic running on the internal
server eg. johnson.xxx.xxx.xxx.com.
The problem I am experiencing is that when I send the request -
http://www.proxyservername.com/../... it gives back response with some session data.
The next request I sent in is a response.sendRedirect(relative url to a jsp page)
, this time it drops the old session and points to johnson.xxx.xxx.com:80.
How can I resolve this client sendRedirect to not flip the server name.
Thanks in advance.What exactly is the redirect to (what is the URL)? Secondly, I'm wondering
which step in the chain is adding the :80 to the redirect. Is it Weblogic or
one of the tunnelling doohickies or the browser or what? I would suggest
trying a non-relative URL (fully qualified) to see if that gets messed with
too.
Peace,
Cameron Purdy

Hi all !
I aim at using a webservice through my SAP server.
The result of the test of the webservice contains the following :
Die Anmeldung wurde f[0xc3][0xbc]r den Mandanten 999 und den Benutzer loginXXX und die Sprache durchgef[0xc3][0xbc]hrt
My question is : where is specify these 999 ? because my wsdl is like :
http://xxxxxx..fr/sap/bc/soap/wsdl11?sap-client=320&services=ZADD
I need 320 and not 999.
Thanks for helping !I may have find the solution....
With SICF transaction, I could specify the "mandant" in the description of the soap service.
