Problem with Apache Plugin
Hi,
Hi I am getting some Errors when i am trying to Run the Apache Server. Actual Problem is
I want to create an Cluster Environment using 2 weblogic Cluster. i read that documentation, using apache-weblogic plug-in, we can improve the cluster performence.
I follow the Same rules and i install ed the Apache server and i copy the *.so file that required for apache(if i commented out the LoadModule weblogic_module libexec/mod_wl.so , serverrunning fine)
But whenever i am trying to run apache Server with that
Its given a error like
"BUG IN DYNAMIC LINKER ld.so:dynamic-link.h:57: elf_get_dynamic_info: Assertion '! "bad dynamic tag" failed!
./apachectl start: httpd could not be started
If u will give some help about this its most helpful for me.
ThankQ
Krishna Botla
Which version of Apache are you using? Are you on Solaris?
Have you enabled the bootstap module mod_so for apache? Do httpd -l to ensure that.
Did you use apxs to deploy mod_wl.so?
Please go through the steps described in the docs again to see if you missed something.

Problems with Apache Plugin and IE
Hi,
we are currently migrating from NES 3.6 to Apache 1.3.27. Since we use Apache 1.3.27 we encountered frequent crashes (Dr. Watsons) in IE 5.0. We can avoid this using an updated jsproxy.dll (of IE5.5 SP2 or later). However we cannot force our customers to use IE 5.5 SP2 or later.
As we didn't have this problem using NES 3.6 there must be a server side correction for this problem.
Any ideas? Please contact me via email: [email protected]
Thanks for your help.
Regards
AndiThank you very much BIJ001!! It works!!
However i don't understand the reason you've given me. You've said:
"The last time I programmed a servlet (as opposed to, say, a JSP) I programmed it in Java, thus no "linea" like your example was possible there."
Why not? I use the "response.getWriter()" method to get a printWriter and then i create the html code for the servlet.
Anyway, thanks again because i would never have solved it without your help.

Precondition Failed problem with apache plugin using SSL
I got a "Precondition Failed" while trying to use apache + mod_ssl + mod_wl128_20.so.
I am using Apache 2.0.52 & WebLogic 8.1 SP4 on Windows 2K Server.
The web.xml is something like this:
<security-constraint>
<web-resource-collection>
<web-resource-name>Secured</web-resource-name>
<url-pattern>/appmanager/Portal/desktop</url-pattern>
</web-resource-collection>
<user-data-constraint>
<transport-guarantee>CONFIDENTIAL</transport-guarantee>
</user-data-constraint>
</security-constraint>
While the httpd.conf is:
<IfModule mod_weblogic.c>
SetHandler weblogic-handler
WebLogicHost localhost
WebLogicPort 7001
MatchExpression *
</IfModule>
SSLRandomSeed startup builtin
SSLRandomSeed connect builtin
<VirtualHost localhost:443>
<IfModule mod_weblogic.c>
DEBUG ALL
SetHandler weblogic-handler

TrustedCAFile C:/bea81/weblogic81/server/lib/CertGenCA.der
RequireSSLHostMatch FALSE
WebLogicHost localhost
WebLogicPort 7002
KeepAliveEnabled false
MatchExpression *
</IfModule>
The proxy of http is fine and I can also use port virtualhost 443 map to weblogic http (port 7001).
But when I use 443 map to 7002 (SSL), I got an error:
Precondition Failed
The precondition on the request for the URL /MyPortal/appmanager/Portal/desktop evaluated to false.
When I turned on the DEBUG ALL in httpd.conf, I find an error message:

Can anyone help me? Please email me by [email protected]
Thanks very much!I got past the initial problem. You need to run der2pem and use the pem file not the der file.

Hi all,
a lot was said already about problems with using Nik plugins in PS5 64 bit mode, but I'm not getting closer to a final solution.
I have installed all latest NIK plugin updates without problems.
According to their website all of their plugins are running now in a 64 bit mode.
In CS4 I can open and work with all plugins, BUT ONLY after removing the 'Selective Tool' from the plugin folder.
When it is not removed, PS4 is crashing all the time immediately after opening.
In Dfine plugin I noticed that my pointer is always a bit flickering during processing.
In CS5 it is the same; if the Selective tool is in the Plugin folder, it won't opening.
After removing it, in 32 bit mode I can open and work with all installed plugins.
But in 64 bit mode I'm able to work only with Silver Efex and HDR Efex Pro, but as soon I open Dfine, Sharpener, Viveza or Color Efex CS5 is crashing immediately.
I'm running a Mac pro with plenty power, ram etc, all updated and cleaned up.
What is other people's latest experience regarding that issue?
ThanksHi to all,
here I like to give you an update on my experience with NIK Plugins.
After beeing unable to solve my NIK problems by myself and in the forum I was contacting NIK, and their respons email told me only the following:
"In case of experiencing problems with their plugins in 64 bit mode remove all Duplicate Ariel Fonts"
Since I read about that already earlier, that reason had been ruled out.
BUT I got the idea simply to remove all my Arial Fonts from my Library (to the Desktop), and surprisingly ALL NIK plugins now were functioning without bringing CS5 to crash at start-up.
Unfortunately over the last days, especially on working with big file size pictures (around 200 MB) and plenty layers, CS5 crashed again often after initializing of the plugins.
Than I read today the post from Grey Havens, who suggested to set the percentage of RAM what Photoshop should use to maximal 60%.
Since I do have 14 GB RAM available, I indeed reduced the settings from 85% to 65%.
2 of my 3 internal HD's are assigned as scratch disk, as recommended by Adobe.
Thanks Grey, as you described, all plugins are opening now very fast, and I just tried all applications with big files, many layers and CMYK files,
without having any crash so far anymore.
If this continues, than I dont have to use my CS4 or the CS5 in 32 bit mode anymore, which would make all easier for me.
Than it also doesn't matter that Photoshop has less RAM assigned, because in 64 bit mode the almost 9 GB RAM assigned is for me more than enough.
So what worked for me, might work also for other people with same problems:
--- I had to remove the 'Selective Tool' from all plugins in CS4 and in CS5
--- I had to remove all Arial Fonts from my Font Library
--- I set in Preferences Performance the 'Let Photoshop Use RAM' to 65% only

A problem with DigitalPersona plugin in ff5.
Hi. Got a problem with DigitalPersona plugin. I'm using FF5 now, so it doesn't work, but I wonder if there's a way to deal with it. I mean, maybe someone know anything to make it work on FF5 without violating their rights. When using almost 50 symbol passwd it's some kind of bothering without DP ;p
After more searching and plugin decompiling, I found that the problem occurs when it tries to access to the registry using the following key:
"Software\\Serena\\Dimensions\\" + System.getProperty("oracle.jdevimpl.vcs.dimensions.clientVersion", "9.1") + "\\PC Client"
I don't know where the value of "oracle.jdevimpl.vcs.dimensions.clientVersion" is supposed to come from.
I tried to set it using the jdev.conf file:
AddVMOption -Doracle.jdevimpl.vcs.dimensions.clientVersion=10.1
It works a little better: I get the connection window. But when I provide the connection parameters and clic on "OK", I get the following error message:
"Could not recognize output from the command."
We are using Dimensions 10.1.3.
Is this version not compatible with the plugin ? -
Looking to pass a "root" request to a WL server with Apache plugin
Anyone know of a way to disclude a URL from the <Location> directive? I'm
using the Apache plugin and would like to pass all requests through to the
WL server except the images (which can be identified either by extension or
by location (/images)). I want a request for http://apacheserver/ to get
passed to the WL server and execute some default servlet. However... if I
use <Location /> to pass this through... everything else will get passed
through, even my image requests.
Any ideas?Thanks for the help.
Two location directives:
<Location /myApp> and
<Location /myImages>
would end up passing my images request through to WL, no?
The way I have it set up now, I have one tag:
<Location /myApp>
which (obviously) passes the /myApp/* requests to WL. This is good...
any other request such as /images/myimage.gif stays on the web server. The
only problem is that
the initial hit to the site (www.mycompany.com) does not get passed through
and
I need it to map to a servlet on the WL server, without disrupting the flow
of a
/images/* request.. I have no images on the WL server.
Anyone know of a way to disclude a URL from the <Location> directive?I'm

Have your application reside at /myApp and images in /myImages. Then two
<Location> stanzas,
one for /myApp and one for /myImages will do what you want. I have an
open case with support
where I wanted /myApp/myImages and /myApp to resolve in the order the
<Location> directives
were found in httpd.conf, in much the same way you can have / and
/images with
Apache handling /images and WLS handing / . The case is still open and
the workaround is
described in the first sentence of this paragraph :) -
Problem with Apache reverse proxy after applying SP13 NW
Hello,
we have a NW04 EP Portal and a Apache reverse proxy in the DMZ. After applying SP 13 for the portal we get the following error from the reverse proxy:

The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.

Reason: Error reading from remote server

Is is it possible, that there is a problem with sp13?

I can access to the jsp of the server with the url of apach , but i cannot use jmx throught apache. I can use jmx with the server if I don't use apache, but i need apache for the next step of the project.
please, help me !I think the plug-in is intended for serves static pages, and another part of the document like MIME types.
I assume you are using the http protocol in your client to establish a jmx connection. Try enabling HTTP tunneling in weblogic server.
Can you post the code used to establish connetion? -
I downloaded XAMPP Moodle today to do some development and found that apache would not start. It complained that Web Sharing was already turned on in System Preferences and that I should turn it off. When I checked in System Preferences, all indications were that Web Sharing was not enabled. Furthermore, when I tried to turn it on from System Preferences, it would not do so. I opened up http://localhost and my own user account (i.e. localhost/~micah) functions properly and httpd shows up as three processes in Activity Monitor (one under root and two under _www).
I am confident that I can kill it (using sudo), but I'm not confident that it will not come back in the same way when I restart. Also, how does System Preferences deterine whether or not httpd is running? Does it check the process list? Does it check the port? Is there a pid file? Why does it not show up properly in System Preferences?
How do I properly fix this situation?AstroNauts wrote:
Thanks for your response!
Okay, done. Moved it from /Library/WebServer/Documents to /Sites/, stopped working. Now I suppose I have to look into the CGI?
(apologies, haven't been near this project for a while).
Okay, it now works!
Following your hint about the CGI, I uncommented the line below. I don't why it was commented (or should be), but it now works. Had some other help stating it was indeed a problem with how to handel php.
We're cool, now; thank you for your responses and help!

Problems with Apache and custom JSPs
Hi
We've made an application on top of IFS, using JWS in our test envirnment. Just before making some stress tests, I'd like to try it using Apache. We're currently having two problems:
1) I switch to the apache configuration running ifsconfig and not selecting JWS. When I try to access the ifs using http://host/ifs/files, everything goes well except that the "logout" icon doesn't appear. I did a little research and found out that the link goes to /ifs/webui/images/logout.gif. This gives an error in mod_jserv.log, like this one:
[07/06/2001 22:54:20:315] (ERROR) ajp12: Servlet Error: ClassNotFoundException: webui
It seems it's trying to find a "webui" class, since in ifs.properties every url that begins with /ifs goes to jserv.
I don't know if this is a know problem or what should I've check...
2) This one is more important. We're using some custom JSPs, which we use to edit the properties of some types of documents. Basically, when the user clicks over a file one of our JSP appears. These JSPs call a bean to do some processing, passing the HttpRequest as a parameter. The problem is that when using JWS we get the "path" request variable like in path=/%3A29464
However, when using Apache we get path=/ifs/files/%3A29464 ( and afterwards we get an exception because the ifsSession.getPublicObject method doesn't work).
Any hints on this? One way could be to check if the path begins with /ifs/files, but that's not really nice.. and besides I could have the same problem in some other parts.
It's kind of urgent....
Thanks
Ramiro
nullHi,
The answer to your path problem is that you can make use of API to find out the current path so that it works both with Apache and with JWS. Follow the steps
1. import the oracle.ifs.adk.http package in your custom jsps
<%@ page import = "oracle.ifs.adk.http.*" %>
2. Then within your jsp use the method
getIfsPathFromJSPRedirect
<%= oracle.ifs.adk.http.HttpUtils.getIfsPathFromJSPRedirect(request) %>
This will give you the current path of the object on which you clicked on and which initiates the custom jsp.
You can look at the CMS application which has made use of this API. URL is
http://otn.oracle.com/sample_code/products/ifs/sample_code_index.htm
Choose, sample applicatin -> Content Management system.
Hope this helps

New MS patch problems with Apache & SSL on NetWare web serve
This week our users began to experience problems accessing our Intranet based on a NetWare 6.5 box running Apache and using a Verisign SSL certificate. IE would say it was connecting but you would never get there. Firefox could get to the server but I had similar problems with Safari & Chrome.
I discovered that the MS security patch KB980436 had modified some portion of IE and was causing the problem. Uninstalling that patch put us back to where we could once again access our Intranet.
This seems to have something to do with how IE accesses using the SSL 443 port. When, internally, I accessed this same site using http instead of https it worked perfectly.
This patch was applied to Win XP and Win 7 with the same bad results.
If there is a more appropriate place for this post please move it there.Have you tried the registry settings to go back to compatible mode? The
settings are listed in the MS KB article.

I'm having problems with the plugin
It constantly asks me if i want to continue or stop the 'scrip'. Also, i'm having problems with the tabs constantly loading. Like I'm on a page, and then i found the page reloading itself when i'm looking at the page. I'd like to know how i can fix those problems i've reinstalling firefox, but that doesn't seem to work, i've tried reinstalling the plugin but that doesn't work either. I was wondering what version of the plugins does firefox use.
Here's an explanation of what those processes are.
Inside Flash Player Protected Mode for Firefox
I'm curious about what you did to uninstall just those. -
Anyone else having problems with Flash plugin 10.3.181.14 on FF4.01
Over the last 2-3 days I've had a problem with FF hanging when loading some sites. This problem disappears if I disable the Flash plugin.
They are looking into it, but they are moving incredibly slow. Meanwhile, They are getting unhappy customers who are trying to tweak their browsers in such a way to force Adobe to work for them so they can do what they need. I even had to lower the Plugin Containers priority setting to low so it doesn't hog the CPU so I can do what I need, If barely. Its just frustrating and I am doing what I can to come up with something I can hand Adobe and say Here! Now fix it. lol
