Problem with creating pdf from Microsoft Publisher 2013

We are having problems in creating pdfs from Microsoft Publisher2010- When the function 'Adobe PDF' is selected and 'Print' is clicked on nothing happens. The progress bar just sits there for several minutes without creating a pdf. We have to click on cancel and when this is done this crashes Microsft Publisher.
I have repaired this using the repair facility in Acrobat 9. I have also uninstalled Acrobat 9 and reinstalled this.
I have also uninstalled Adobe Reader XI and reinstalled Adobe Reader 9.
Before uninstalling Acrobat I also ran the updates but this didnt help either.
This is on a Windows 7 PC (64-bit)
Adobe Acroabt 9 Pro Extended
Microsoft Publisher 2010.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

MS Publisher 2010 is not supported by the Acrobat 9 Family; and the PDFMaker extension for Publisher has been removed completely from the Acrobat XI Family, so upgrading won't help either. Sorry!

  • Can't Create PDF from Microsoft Projects 2013

I am trying to PDF a Microsoft Projects 2013 files.  I've tried print PDF and save as PDF but both options give me a pop up window that says "Creating Adobe PDF" with a progress bar displayed with 3 blue bars filled.  I leave it that way for about an hour and nothing happens.  I've tried updating the Adobe Acrobat and Repairing it in the Programs and Features menu.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

Thanks for the prompt response.  I don't know how to print-to-file and open the file in Distiller.  The printing as PDF doesn't even work.  It gives me the "Creating PDF" pop up window to which there is no end to. (see photo above)  As for updating to version XI, my colleagues who are running Acrobat X Standard with MS Projects 2013 do not have a problem at all when printing.  I want to avoid upgrading if version X is still usable.  Any other thoughts?

  • When printing to Adobe PDF from Microsoft Publisher, the text on page 2 is not 100% black

    Hi there
I'm using Microsoft Publisher 2013 to print to an Adobe PDF file (I have a trial version of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.)
I sent the PDF to my printing house but they can't print it because the text on page 2 is not 100% black. In Publisher, the text colour on both pages is CMYK 0/0/0/100.
I created a test file in which I copied the text from page 1 onto page 2 so both pages are identical. However, the PDF created from that file, when I click Print Production, Output Preview and de-select Process Black, all the text on page 1 disappears (as expected) but none of the text on page 2 disappears! It seems that Publisher and/or Acrobat is printing the text on page 1 correctly but not page 2. Does anyone know why? Am I doing something wrong?
Here's a link to the two files: Dropbox - ShareAdobeComm
Would much appreciate some help if anybody can please point me in the right direction. Thank you.
(I'm seriously evaluating upgrading from my current 3rd party PDF writer to Adobe.)

Do not use the PDF Maker, but print to the Adobe PDF printer and see if that meets you need. If you need some of the tools of PDF Maker, then turn on only those you need, not them all. Check to be sure that the graphics are indeed being downsampled and possibly go back and reduce the graphics you have in the WORD file so that you are at least not using millions of colors, 256 max. Also consider using straight B&W if color is not needed, or at least gray-scale.

  • Problem with creating site from another computer!

    Hi
I have WebDB 2.2 and Oracle8i instaled on the same computer. I have a problem to create site from another computer. There is not any process when I try to create site. There is always 0%.
But I have no problem with creating site on the origin computer.
Does anybody know something about it?

I am just not clear what to do once I have made changes and have published the new information.
You shouldn't have to do anything. iWeb will save the information in the Domain.sites file. You can keep this file in a folder, or even on your desktop and iWeb will launch from a double-click on the file.

  • Problems with sending PDF from iPad to PC?

I am having problems sending a PDF from an iPad. The email is sent and can be read on any Apple device, however it is not viewable on a PC. To complicate things more, the first sending of the email to the PC in not viewable, once it is forwarded to another, the email is viewable just as on an Apple device. I have had this problem with to different apps which led me to belive Mail was suspect. I removed the mailbox and re-installed it with no fix. I think my next move is to reset the iPad. Has anyone had the same problem and come up with a solution?

I've had exactly the same issue
I had (mistakenly) believe the issue had been resolved its new app updates but it hasn't
Today I emailed a signed document using SignNow app. Mindful of previous iPad PDF compatibility issues, I sent myself a copy to my gmail account that I have on my MacBook
Everything appeared to be fine so I then emailed it to the recipient (using a PC) who promptly emailed back to say they hadn't received anything!
This is the second time within two weeks.
Eventually I had to email it to my Mac email account, open in Adobe then 'save as' PDF the. Email it back to my iPad email account so I could then forward onto the recipient.
I had originally believed this to be an app issue but having used SignNow as well as TypeOn now realise it's something peculiar about Mac/PC formatting.
    SORT IT OUT APPLE!

  • Best settings for professional printing quality .pdf from Microsoft Publisher file?

    Hello,
I have created a couble of design documents in Microsoft Publisher, and would like them professionally printed. The printer who will print them has asked me to send him the artwork as a .pdf, with crop marks, color density bars and registration marks.
I have Acrobat X Pro, and have tried to use the print AdobePDF function from within Microsoft Publisher but I am struggling to get the best quality result with all the printer marks. Can anyone suggest what are the best setting for a professional .pdf?
I have chosen 'Press Quality' print settings and that helps to make the images look good. But I cant make it work with CMYK? The Adobe printing function doesnt seem to like the 'Composite CMYK' selection needed to make the printing marks available?
    Help!
    Thanks,
    Liz

Try the "Smallest Size" Preset. As a side note, you can reduce the ppi from 300 to 150 in Image > image size (resample on) to reduce file size and keep quality.

  • Creating pdf from Microsoft Excel

I need some help and I am hoping someone has run into this before.  I have been able to create a pdf from a Microsoft Excel document with no problem but the issue I am having is when I do that all of the sheets are merged into one workbook and it creates an continuous 330 page document; I want to be able to have separate tabs or some type of separation like Microsoft Excel does.  I could create each sheet into a pdf and then merge them all into pdf portfolio but that would be labor intensive.
    Can someone help me?
    Thanks, John

    John,
Once content is in PDF there is no such thing as "workbook" or "worksheet". PDF is content painted to a "page".
As dictated by the quantity of content there may be many pages.
PDFMaker can be configured to prompt for which worksheets of a workbook, in Excel, that are to be processed out to PDF.
With multiple worksheets selected each worksheet's content is processed out, in sequence, to the PDF being created.
So, the first worksheet's content fills PDF page 1 through page N. The second worksheet's content fills PDF page N+1 through page M.
This continues for all selected worksheets.
The result is, as expected, a multi-page PDF.
If the PDFMaker has been configured to create PDF Bookmarks then a Bookmark is created for each worksheet.
The Bookmark's label will reflect the worksheet's "name" in its respective tab back in Excel.
The Bookmarks' default action will be:
Go to a page in this document (e.g., the PDF)
---| Page: "n" (the page on which the worksheet's content starts)
    ---| Zoom level: Inherit Zoom
Clicking on any given Bookmark takes the user to the start page of the Bookmark identified worksheet content.
. Some screen captures that may help.
    PDFMaker's configuration dialog
If "Prompt for Selecting Excel Sheets" is ticked in the PDFMaker configuration dialog then this dialog appears when PDFMaker begins the PDF creation process.
The output PDF will have a Bookmark that permits navigating to the start of content for the designated worksheet content within the PDF.
To view the Bookmarks the Navigation Pane must display.
For any PDF, if one configures the PDF's Document Properties > Initial View tab both the PDF page and the PDF's Bookmarks pane can be set to show upon opening of the PDF.
For many PDF's Acrobat Pro can be used to establish this with the "Open" sequence via a Batch Sequence / Action.
    Be well...

  • Problems in creating PDFs from Indesign under Snow Leopard

The Acrobat PDF Printer does not work under Snow Leopard anymore.
    Adobe gives this alternative:
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/509/cpsid_50981.html
After an update to Acrobat 9.1.3 PDFs should now be generated through a new "Save as Adobe PDF" option under the "PDF" button in the system print dialog.
This does not at all work in Adobe Indesign with it's proprietary print dialog. The PDF-Button is only available in the system print dialog (I know it is accessible from within the Indesign print dialog panel, yet clicking on the PDF button and selecting "Save as Adobe PDF" is ignored).
To make things worse: If you follow the advice to delete the Acrobat Printer from the "Print & Fax" panel this deletes the ADPDF9.PPD from the Library/PPD folder! You even cannot produce .ps files and distill them manually. Fortunately I was able to restore the ADPDF9.PPD from a backup.
This is really annoying: How can Adobe state everything works fine under Snow Leopard if you are not able to create PDFs any more? Or did I miss something?

    Hi.
    make this.
    1. Go to the Apple> System Preferences...
    2.  Open the "Print & Fax" preference panel.
    3. Select the Printing tab, to get to the printers list.
    4.  Select the printer "Adobe PDF 9.0".
    5. Click the options and supplies button.
    6. Choose the Drive.
Now I have reinstalled Leopard. but first like a Drive I have listed only a "Generic Printer".
I tried to reassign it ADPDF9.PPD but is not recognized and automatically resets to a generic printer.
So after some  tests that I have found here
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/509/cpsid_50981.html
    I have reinstall leopard
    This has been my problem.

  • Problem with imported pdfs from older version

I'm working in CS4. The InDesign document I'm working on was originally done in an older version of InDesign (not sure which). It contains imported pdfs that were created in CS2 and CS3. When I export to pdf the older imported pdfs don't display properly on my client's PC - the type is not there, only boxes with question marks - but the pdf looks fine on my screen. I upgraded from CS2 to CS4. The only way I've gotten around this is to export the CS4 InDesign document as an .INX file, have a friend open it up in CS3 and save down to an .INX file again, open the doc up in CS2, create the pdf from CS2, and open it in the older version of Acrobat. Then my client sees the type clearly on their PC
I'm using Suitcase (thought it was a font issue, but I don't think so now as the fix seemed to be between the CS versions.
Anyone else have this problem and/or a better solution? I'd like to be able to simply export a pdf and be done with it.
    Thanks!

    Thats it thank you!
There was a text wrap applied to all the graphics. its working perfectly now!!
    Thank you again!!!

  • Problem with converted PDF from OTF

    Hello,
im having a problem with character interpretation in PDF document when i convert it from OTF.
At the moment im using Arial true type font in my smartform, im using function module CONVERT_OTF to convert OTF to PDF.
When i open PDF document with Adobe reader it looks fine, but the problem is when im trying to convert PDF file to other format for example PNG, or trying to copy and paste text from PDF document.
im getting Klaipìda instead of Klaipėda, it seems that baltic symbol "ė" is interpreted like "ì", other baltic symbols are interpreted as they should, there is problem only with character "ė".
have anyone faced that kindof problem? or maybe anyone know the solution for this problem? if so please tell me.
    Best regards,
    Rimantas Sebeckis.

    Hi Rimantus,
Did you check the fonts installed in your system,,,
As PDF is a unchangeable format, it doesnt depend upon the installed fonts in the system,,
but when you copy, you need some fonts in system,, if not you will get the same problem,,,
    Thanks & regards,

  • Problem with exporting PDF from Indesign CS6

    Hi,
I recently registered & installed CS6 on my computer (Last week!), and I seem to have problems with Indesign, which is the main reason for my buying the product.
The problem is that whenever I try to save & export a file as PDF from Indesign I get an error message (See attached file).
The files are saved with 0KB size, and so the Acrobat reader can't open them for preview.
This really interrupts my work, and backs up the entire comapny schedule.
I already tried updating, and uninstalling&re-installing the suite - but no luck.
Any help would be appreciated, and we need it ASAP.
    Thanks in advance,

Without proper system info and details about what PDF settings you actually used and how and where you save your files, nobody can say anything. You could simply be doing something silly like using PDF/A, but trying to enforce high-res pictures or whatever. In any case, ask in the ID forum.

  • Problem with Create PDF and linked data

    Using Acrobat X standard.
I have a Word 2010 doc with links to Visio and Excel data.
When using the CreatePDF option from Word, I consistently get a prompt asking whether I want to update the linked data before creating pdf.  I would like to either (1) turn this prompt off or (2) -- less preferable -- have the linked data always update without prompting.
Is thre a setting that would accomplish one of these two solutions?
    Thanks,
    Craig
PS.  All settings in Word have been set such that data IS NOT updated when printing on a regular printer.

You can print to Adobe PDF.

  • Login problems with create pdf, share and my files

    Hello ,
When I currently go to www.acrobat.com on my windows xp
computer and try to go to one of the create pdf, share and my files
and click on begin I get a message saying sorry this service is
temporary unavailable but when I click on learn more it says all
service are up and runing. Does anyone know what is wrong and if
the service is down when will it be fixed.?

    Hi Sue!
This seems like a separate issue you're running into. It is
good that you can get logged in, but odd that you're only seeing
    partial functionality in your user.
How many files are missing? Is this affecting certain file
    types?
Did you ever see files in your My Files section?
How long have they been unavailable/missing?
When uploaded, did they complete making it through the
    scanning process?
Can you see files in your Buzzword organizer? (which is a
different section than your My files organizer)
    Create new documents?
It would be good to get another browser as a comparison test
here as well, to see if there is any different behavior!
It could be firewall related, but what you could do is maybe
try logging into your account from another person's computer for a
moment, to see if the files are visible there?
Otherwise, the test from home, or laptop at a coffee shop,
    would be another good test!
Get back to us with some of these questions answered, and
we'll see about getting you up and running!
    Cheers,
    Pete

  • Have problem on creating pdf from web page

When acrobat finished downloading of that web page to start creating pdf file,  acrobat.exe take more and more memory, eventually the whole physical memory  and OS prompt memory inefficient warning.
the web page is only 900+K,
url is http://www.w3.org/TR/2004/REC-xmlschema-1-20041028/        ( I use the only one layer configuration)
but url: http://www.w3.org/TR/2004/REC-xmlschema-0-20041028/ is turn out to be fine, which is 300+K
it seems when the web pages is more than some hundreds of KB, then the acrobat went insane and took all the memory out there.
    Please fix the bug asap!
PS:  I use acrobat pro 9.4.1

Adobe only provides security fixes for all versions. With Acrobat X out, you will see any bug fixes. I don't have the problem you are seeing on 9.4.1 on the Mac nor on Acrobat X under Windows. I no longer have Acrobat 9.4.1 on my Windows machine, so I cannot check. Perhaps someone else can. Methinks you are seeing something else going one. Perhaps something is interfering with the pdf creation. What OS do you have? Maybe it has something to do with virus/spam software on your computer. Can you turn this off for testing purposes?

  • How to creat pdf from microsoft word

How do I edit pdf files

You don't.  Thats why they are saved as .pdf files to prevent changes.
You can create PDF files form Word on windows, by printing to a PDF Virtual Printer (you can google this).
You can create PDF files on a Mac by selecting Print, then clicking PDF on the print screen.
You can create PDFs on an iOS device with a third party app like 'PDF Printer for iPhone'
