Oracle Version: 8.1.5 (with lxp815 patch)
System: SuSE Linux 6.2
Problem:
when we start dbassist it immediately stops with this Error:
"JNLS Exception:oracle.ntpg.jnls.JNLSException
Unable to find any National Character Sets. Please
check your Oracle installation."
The Java dump after clicking "OK":

Problem with Non European Language

Hi there,
I'm working on a presentation in english that has to be translated in arabic language.
The problem is when I'm doing the translation with the arabic language the lay out it all fine. BUT when I'm sending (via the net) the files to two of my collegues, the lay out is then all wonky. That doesn't hapened with the english only with the arabic. I tryed even with a bundle version and it's exactly the same.
I don't know what to do as my lay out is fine but not them.
I fel like h-keynote can't cope with the arabic language..but I need this layout to be the same than mine when I'm sending to the people who are going to do the presentation.
Any idea to help me??

They are not necessarly using the same version. I will ask them to get the last one so we will have all the same.
Perhaps that will help. You should also make sure they have the same Arabic fonts on their machines that you used for your file.

Problems with flah player i found a clue to solve

Well, for everybody that is not being able to install flash
player(including me) on internet explorer here is my history :
I'm having problems to install flash player on internet
explorer since adobe bought the company, i read a lot of posts from
all kinds of forums without a clue on how to solve the problem, the
adobe support for flash player is a joke, i tried everything on the
support page and none of the solutions solved the problem, than i
downloaded the full installer of flash player version 7 to try to
install it cause i thought that the problem was the version, but
before i tried to install version 7 i tryed to install the version
9 on firefox; the result it worked(thanks god), i use firefox and
ie on the same computer on the same user. I was intriged why flash
installed on firefox and not on ie. Well than i tryed to install
version 7 on ie but on the installation screen the installer only
recognized the firefox browser, than i clicked on the button other
browser to manually search ie, and for my suprise the installer
wanst able to reach the file iexplore.exe, intriged by that i
opened windows explorer to check if the file was there and it
was!!! So i figured out that i wanst able to install flash player
on ie cause it doenst recognized/found the iexplore.exe file. Thats
a clue to solve the problem with ie if somebody have any idea on
how to make flash find iexplorte.exe please post in the forum. At
least if i wanna see any flash content i can use firefox to do it.
And PLEASE ADOBE DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT, MANIFEST YOURSELF.

***A GOOD FIX***
I was fighting with this problem for months and finally found
a good fix. This is what I did:
1. Use the uninstaller at Adobe's Web site following the
instructions given here:
http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_14157
2. Empty temporary files and internet cache and restart.
3. Download the latest FlashPlayer version 9 from Adobe's web
site here:
http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash
At this point check and be sure that you have a file named
"Flash.ocx" in both your Windows\ServicePackFiles\i386 and
Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash folders, as well as the
"Flash9.ocx" in the Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash folder. If you
do, you have a good install.
4. Download Flash8.ocx from www.rrdownloads.net/Flash.zip
(I'm sure this file must be buried on Adobe's site somewhere, but I
couldn't find; nonetheless, this is a safe link)
5. Unzip the active x file into your
Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash folder
6. In the same Windows folder, rename "Flash9.ocx" to
Flash-9.ocx (or anything else)
7. Then rename the Flash8.ocx (from the downloaded zip file)
to Flash9.ocx
Restart et voila ... no more crash errors.
Also be sure you have Sun's Java J2SE Runtime Environment 5,
Update 7 installed and any Pop Up or Ad Blockers turned off ...
sometimes these will interfere in viewing flash content.
Caution: This fix has worked for me on a WinXP Pro and WinXP
Home O/S, running IE6. I cannot vouch for any others. I hope it
works for you!

Problem with displaying special language symbol in charts

Hello,
I have problem wih displaying special symbols in czech language in charts. When I write some value into Categoryaxis or Value axis in chart designer I see the right value. Then I save the web template and present it on the web. But on the web presentation I don´t see the right value. I see the title without special czech symbols.
I find on forum some solution for language dependent texts (using special program eg. ZHTMT_TEXT) I think that It´s not solution for me. I think that I have problem with font or code side...
Can you give some advices?

E71 - Problems with dictonary and languages instal...

Hi to everybody!
I have a problem with my dictonary but I can't find a solution.
My firmware version is 110.07.127 09-10-2008 rm-346 nokia e71-1 (17).
My default pre-installed language is English.
I have installed 2 languages in the memory card: Italian and Turkish.
At this point, I have tried to install (in the memory card) another language (Croatian) but at the end of the language installation the dictionary forced me to remove one language.
I have also tried to uninstall languages by Application Manager with no success...when I have tried to reinstall languages, I have got the same message.
I can't find a solution to this problem.
Can you help me?

Problems with displaying Asian languages dynamically in a text box

I have a text box that I am adding to the stage dynamically. The text box is a movieclip in the library. However, when it is added to the stage the message is not displayed. I have no problems with English or Spanish but for Chinese, Korean, and Japenese the message is not displayed. Here is the code in Chinese (when a certain condition is met:

Printing problems with hp laserjet cp1515n [found problem]

Dear Arch users,
A couple of weeks ago I installed for the first time an Arch linux on my brand new Dell laptop with an UEFI MB. It took a while until I could understand how UEFI works but eventually I sort it out and got Arch installed. Unfortunatelly there are some small problems to be straiten out. One of them is the fact that printing with my laser printer (see subject line) is not working.
for the last couple of days I was searching through all post I could find around on the internet, mainly here at the Arch forum. Unfortunatelly I could not find anything nearly describing what I am living on my system. Well here is a brief description of what is happening. After installing Arch, I opted for KDE desktop environment and I made the full instalation. After installing additional software (gimp, inkskape, etc.) I needed to install my printer. At first I couldn't get permission. Than reading the Arch tutorial for CUPS, I saw that the 'lp' permission was not setup properly. Well Have done as described there. Then I tryed to install using the GUI from KDE for installing an usb printer and for my surprise there was not such an option. I intalled than de hp-toolbox, and than it was easy to install the printer. It was automatically recognized and everything was there. The problem was, when I open an archive (text, web page, doesn't matter) and send it to print, the spooler went well theoretically sent to printer and then popped up a notification saying printing finished. Opening the printing cue, I can see that the archive was still there and marked as pending. That was the point where I started to search around for potential solutions or similar solutions.
After sudying a lot I came to a conclusions that it probably have something to do with permissions. Unfortunately I could not find out where or which permissions to change in order to get something printed. I found some "debugging" and information commands and I am posting the results here;

OK here am I again.
as mentioned before I created an bogus printer with:
lpadmin -p test -v file:/dev/null
verified the presence of the printer;
lpstat -p

At first "test" printer was disabled for an uknown reason.
tried to use lpadmin -p test to enable the printer as described on the previusly mentioned web site, but couldn't get to enable printer "test". After reading alittle more on the internet I found the command cupsenable <printer> and indeed it changed the printer status.
tried to print;
echo test | lp -d test
result:
$ echo test | lp -d test
lp: Destination "test" is not accepting jobs.
I tried to change the condition of the Color laser printer but did not made any difference with the cups command.
Conclusion: how can I modify this status to make the printer accept jobs?

Problem with reading consistent Language readings from device from within universal app

I am working against a Class a wrote the other day. But I get unconsistent Uri results after pulling language and region on windows/Phone?!
As a beginner to all this, great of someone could tell me whats going on;

But my problem is this - if I change my regional/keyboard settings to "Norwegian" - away from your US.
I get a string that is working and is correct;
http://test.test.com/nb-NO
But to get YOUR US Region to work - I need to tweak this line with commenting out the end;

LocalLanguage; // +
"-" + LocalLanguageString;
And then its suddenly correct, but wrong if I change the region/language again to something "Scandenavian"...Then the final Uri for "_languageCode" is to short - like
http://test.test.com/nb
Which results in a "en-US Setting" - when hitting my MVC site from my App.
My MVC site that will answer to this "Uri" request from the app, has a fallback to "en-US", which is great if the Region/Language is missing/not offered. But now my final "_languageCode" field seems to change
its pattern based on different regions?!
And sometime it seems to give me a mix of region/language too?! Like this;
"http://test.test.com/en-US-NO"
So whatever pointers anyone has here?!

Java VM problems with dbassist

I downloaded jdk116_v5 from blackdown as instructed in the
installation manual. It's installed in /jdk116_v5 and I created
the link to /usr/local/jre also as instructed.
The installation went well until the end. It couldn't run the
dbassist. It spewed the message:
Unable to initialize threads: Cannot find class java/lang/thread
Could not create Java VM
The same message also pops up whenever I try running the
dbassist program.
The readme that came with jdk said that it does need a JAVA_HOME
and CLASSPATH. I have experimented with setting the JAVA_HOME
to /jdk116_v5 and CLASSPATH to /jdk116_v5 and also
to /jdk116_v5/lib and /jdk116_v5/lib/classes.zip but nothing
seems to solve the problem.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Unfortunately, (dare I say it?)
Java is not one of my strengths...

I modified the dbassist script to add the
$JRE_DIR/lib/classes.zip to CLASSPATH
Got rid of the not finding the lang/thread class error. but now
get an exception

RS480M2-IL - problems with "PS2 Mouse not found"

Hello!
I bought RS480M2-IL motherboard. The first strange thing was the post about "not know processor", but i have fixed by upgrading it to the 1.4 version. You should to know also that I have USB mouse. When I am starting my computer I can see the post which says: "PS2 Mouse not found". It is a very big problem for me, because I wanted to run a Jabber server on it. After restart it won't get up. Is there any clue or something which will fix it? Don't tell me, that I must wait for new BIOS version.

I assume you have the s754 version because s939 bioses start with 3.x.
I have the same problem using bios 1.4.
This is a bios issue that hopefully will be fixed in the next bios version.
I found a temporary workaround though. Go into the bios --> Standard CMOS Features --> Halt On --> [No Errors].

Problem with HttpHeader Accept-Language with InternetExplorer

I'm building an web application using Flash at the front side and Jetty at the back side.
This application has to care of the language settings of the browser.
Normally the browser sends with each request the Http-header accept-language in wich the language settings of the browser are reflected.
To check this I wrote a servlet wich echos the request with its headers.

They are not necessarly using the same version. I will ask them to get the last one so we will have all the same.
Perhaps that will help. You should also make sure they have the same Arabic fonts on their machines that you used for your file.

Problem with iADcore.dll not found

If anyone can help me with this issue I would really appreiciate it. I can not get itunes to load, and it is therefore usless. I miss all my music, and I have not been able to get Apple to help me with the problem. Very frustrating.

Problem with kfmclient (command not found)

Today, I tried to run the CUPS web configuration tool, but it failed to run (ie. open the page in Firefox). I executed the command in the terminal to check for errors, and it said "kfmclient: command not found".
When I checked pacman for kfmclient, no such package exists. How do I install kfmclient?

Just an additional information,
for 'command not found' problems, pkgtools in community should be helpful. It also have a bash hook to find the package automatically on that error.

Data Load with HAL Problem with Decimal-delimiter/Language Setting

Hi,
we use HAL to load Data into Essbase. The Data is with a . as Decimal Point like in
1252.25 When i upload these Data with HAL the number becomes 125225.00
The Locale of my OS is German
The Locale i specified for the file in HAL is English
If i change the Locale of my BS to English the Problem disappears but thats annoying.
Has anybody else such a problem ?
Is There a Solution for this ?

Reading over John's blog, we created a rule file.
But, it looks the load process using the rule file seems to be hanging? are we missing any thing? We are using comman seperator and having number of lines to skip as zero.

Problems with Safari - server not found - for no reason!

Just in the last week when I go to a webpage (and it can be any random page and its intermittent) it will come up blank saying "Safari cannot open the page because the server cannot be found" HOWEVER there is nothing wrong with my internet connection or with the website I am trying to navigate to.
Example, I wanted to go to mailcall couriers. I click on the link on my favourites bar, I get the above error message. I got to google and try access it, same thing. I go to google and click on a sub page link (like contact us) and it is fine and I can then navigate to their working home page from there.
Safari seems to do this routinely with some pages but not all, and not always the same ones. Sometimes the pages will open sometimes I will get this error - but if I try opening that same page at teh same time on my ipad its fine! So it is not the website or the internet.
I have tried resetting safari, clearing cache etc... to no avail.
NOW, on a similar note, I have numerous open pages in safari on my iphone 5S - as of today - all thos pages are coming up witht eh same above error message and wont open

What would cause this is just what I mentioned above.
You MUST be using a valid Domain Name Server to look up your symbolic addresses into IP addresses so that sites can be contacted. It is easy to get a bad DNS Server, and the information sometimes comes from bad info entered into your Router. Bad DNS references can also be caused by certain malware.
You must use one of:
• The EXACT numbers provided by your ISP.
• The numbers provided by a Public DNS server such as (in the USA) Google DNS or Open DNS
