This looks like bugid 6456470. It's fixed in our development
branch, but the fix won't be available until Express 3 which
isn't for a month or two. The problem is related to the way
symbols and types reference other symbols and types. You
can work around it by not using -g for those source files where
it happens. Not a very good workaround, I know. Of course,
that's why we have express releases. To find problems like
this as early as possible. ;-)

Release with debug info

In general, is it proper to release an official distribution with debug info, i.e., compile with -g option? is there a standard on this?

From my point of view from having worked in a department where we often got 3rd party code...
This is a customer service issue. If you leave the debug info in, then it will be easier for us (the customer) to understand what's going on when something breaks, and it will be easier for you to fix it.
You shouldn't remove the debug info unless you're 100% confident that the code is flawless (and you should never be so confident).
Similarly, you shouldn't obfuscate code unless the documentation is 100% complete. Some vendors are paranoid about their code being stolen, but most people decompile as an aid to understanding what they've purchased, not to steal it. Obfuscation reduces the usability of the product, and creates a hostile vendor/customer relationship.
Well, I've digressed a bit. The point is that unless there's a very strong reason otherwise, the customer service aspect trumps it and you should leave the debug info in.

The first Screen General Data is OK
i entered all the data in the next screen ie
Purchase Organization Data screen but i'm getting error
Make an entry in all required fields
but there is Mandatory Textbox ie "VALID TO" which im unable to select Bcos its Disabled
pls help me regarding this

Have u given the net price. VALID TO is the date until which the price shown in the info record is valid.
If there is no price that is valid on the current date, the last-valid price is displayed and the date field contains the day before the start of the next validity period (this may be 12.31.9999 if there is no further validity date). If all validit periods lie beyond the current date, the price of the next period is displayed. The date field then contains the end date of this period.
These validity periods we will maintain Purchse data CONDITIONS while creating info record. Check the validity period for the conditions.

Problems with RWD Info Pak 5.5 and SAP 7.2

Hi, since the new SAP GUI was installed, I've been having problems with RWD Info Pak 5.5. I start to record Event step in SAP and when I stop and go back to the word document, Info Pak will not record any of the steps but might record pieces of snapshots.
Is anyone else having this problem or know if there is a fix?

After the last purchase, it said that was a problem with billing the last purchase and need to verify my billing info, i put the password, trying to load and after few sec asks me again,i put again...the same....i tried at least 10 times and does that.....i check if my creditcard didnt have money and it has......i check the password it works (i tried a wrong pass and corrected me)......WHat is going on??? From the symptoms you describe, it is possible that the shared library contains a bug, but it is more likely that the problem is in your code, passing bad data to the shared library.
The problem might be a compiler bug, but I think an error in your code is more likely.
For example, your code as written might have undefined behavior that works by accident when compiling without optimizing, but fails when the compiler improves the runtime code.
Some examples:
1. A classic MT programming error is failing to declare a variable volatile when it is shared by more than one thread. In each thread, the compiler assumes it can remember the value of the variable and not reload it between references.
2. "x = ++x + b;" Modifying a variable twice in an expression withtout sequence points has undefined behavior -- compiler optimization can affect the result.
3." foo(x, x+=3);" the order of evaluation of function arguments is unspecified, so the actual values passed to foo could depend on optimization.
With C++ 5.5, you get some warnings from system headers that you can't do anything about, which I suspect is why you have disabled some warnings. Unfortunately, you might be disabling warnings that you need to see. That is, some of the disabled warnings could point to invalid code that results in the program crash.
I suggest using w instead of w2 (to avoid uninteresting warnings), and fix your code to eliminate the warnings you get.
In the current compiler, C++ 5.7 in Sun Studio 10, we have made some adjustments to warnings to make w and w2 more useful. You should consider upgrading.You can get a 60-day free trial version here:

Problems with 'Get Info' in movies and TV Shows

Very Recently I have acquired a problem with my iTunes application and specifically the 'Get info' option in movies and TV Shows. For some reason I when I use apple + I or go to file then 'get info' the information box for the item in question does not appear.I have tried restarting iTunes and also restarting my machine but the problem still persists. any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Problems With Syncing Info To New Device

I have tried to sync info from my previous palm to my new palm. The sync is from the PC to the palm. The sync stalls when it gets to the calendar. It is just stuck there and I can't seem to get past it. Does anyone have any suggestions for me?

Problem with Debug mode and SLD

Using the config tool, we have turned the Debuggable flag to 'yes' and set the Debug mode to OFF. Now from the studio, when I enable debugging for the process, the server0 stops successfully and restarts successfully. However, during the restart, the SLD service errors out and does not get started. It encounters the following exception. I can verify the error in std_server0.out
With erred SLD service, when I try to deploy and run the webdynpro application from studio, the deploy fails with the same exception.
We tried all kinds of restart (of the engine\server instance), debuggable and debug mode setting permutations, but not successfull. (debug port is 50021)
We are having remote debug server setup (not local).
Does anybody have any suggestions???
The exception we get is:

one way is to enhance the server go.bat with debug parameters. Under c:\usr\sap\<SID>\j2ee\<INSTANCE>\cluster\server\go.bat define the following params
set DEBUG_PORT=5000
set DEBUG_PARAMS=-Xdebug -Xnoagent -Djava.compiler=NONE -Xrunjdwp:transport=dt_socket,server=y,suspend=n,address=
and add both params to the java arguments (e.g. behind the -classpath): %DEBUG_PARAMS%%DEBUG_PORT%.

How do we check if a package has been compiled with DEBUG information or not?
The package could have been compiled like this:

AIR 3.9.0.790 - Problem with debug configurations

Hi there
After updating from 3.9.0.720 to 3.9.0.790 it seems that my debugging configurations are ignored (works fine with build 720). When running the app on AIR Simulator I always end up with a 500 x 375px screen with a high resolution display simulated.
- Flash Builder 4.7
- AIR 3.9.0.790
- Starling-Project for iOS only
- Debug-Configuration: various iOS devices (Mobile Application)
Am I missing something?! Any hints?

We're having the same problem. In our project, the only difference is switching between AIR 3.6 and 3.9.0.1030 (obviously a wider range than the above), and the 3.9 ADL simulator ignores the -screensize argument and forces the window to 500x375. Oddly, this affects only one Mac out of three.
Perhaps interestingly, the affected Mac is OSX 10.8.4 (server edition), while the ones that work are 10.8.2

Problems with debugging in Oracle sql developer

Dear all,
I have a stored procedure with about 3500 lines of code. The SP is calling some other SP's , so altogether around 30,000 lines of code is to executed.
I have some delete statements in the beginning of my SP.
Till nw i was able to debug and run this SP.
But nw I am facing a strange problem.
I can run the SP.
But if i try to debug it , it gets hanged after the delete statement and does not move forward.
So i moved all that statements to another SP and I call the new SP from my present one.
In this way If i debug , after calling the newly created SP , my main Sp does not recognise the break points , and it just finishes execution ..
Can any one help me on this.

Did you move the breakpoint, and once you'd moved the lines of code, did you recompile, using compile for debug? Also, it's important to do compile for debug on all the program units you want to debug, otherwise SQL Developer will just step over the units not compiled for debug.

I had this problem until recently myself.
You can stop the behaviour by the following steps:
Open the debug configuration screen>in the right hand navigation menu select the application you are debugging beneath the item 'Remote Application'>Click the 'Common' Tab in the left hand window. There you will find the option 'Perspective to switch to or open when launched'
Change this setting to default and the problem is resolved.
Please assign points if this resolves the problem or is helpful and let me know if require further detail.
