Problem with hda-intel

Hi!
I'm posting a new topic because i'm sure anyone ever had this problem
I have a notebook amilo m1437 and i'm going to talk about the integrated subwoofer.. i noticed that it works only if the headphones are plugged in at boot.. seems that headphones work like a "switch" and turn on subwoofer
does anyone know how i can turn on subwoofer without this trick with headphones?!?! maybe settings something in /proc..
thanks for help in advance!!

  • Problem with i915 Intel driver panic..

    Hello,
I just recently reinstalled Arch on my laptop.  I have a problem with my laptop. When I went to install the Nvidia Optimus stuff and configure my Xorg.conf I was met with problems with the Intel Driver timing out.  When I boot up I get the normal post screen, then grub, I then go to see the GDM login and instead of getting it I just get a black screen.  When I remove the /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-monitor.conf I can boot into Gnome Shell, else I have to switch run levels and login that way.  I have every package up-to-date.  And I haven't seen an /var/log/Xorg.0.log either else I would have posted it.  One other thing is I have added my user account to the Bumblebee account.  One other thing is when I move my web browser around my video flickers..  Any help I can receive with this would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi
I assume you have installed the graphic card driver from the Intel website and you use NOT a Toshiba graphic driver which was designed especially for the notebook usage.
Well, Toshiba recommend using the Toshiba drivers. In this case you should try to use the recommended graphic driver which you can download from the Toshiba driver page.

  • Right, MacBook Pro 17" early 2011(Built March) and my new OCZ sata III 6G not working, when is Apple going to admit there is a problem with the Intel's 6 Series Chipset. In System Information it says "Link Speed: 6 Gigabit" which is sata III.

My MacBook Pro 17" early 2011(built March) and my new OCZ sata III 6G are not working together, when is Apple going to admit there is a problem with the Intel's 6 Series Chipset. In System Information it says "Link Speed: 6 Gigabit" which is sata III and in my MacBook Pro it does not work.
Now MacBook Pro 17" early 2011 built May onward do not have this problem it was fixed in the Intel's 6 Series Chipset. (So there is a problem). Cam I have my MacBook Pro fixed please.

After biting the bullet and ordering more RAM, my computer now is working a ton better. So that must have been the main issue. With 8 GB RAM, I can now even run Parallels fluidly (better than my work PC!) where before simple things like logging in to my MBP after reboot could take forever.
The place I went to had several other people getting RAM upgrades at the same time as me, so between this and other comments I've seen in discussions here and elsewhere on the Internets, I take it to mean that either Apple should bump up the base RAM on its new machines, and/or stop charging so much for additional RAM.
I refused to believe a Pro machine bought with Lion installed would come with too little RAM for light to medium usage, but it was apparently the case. I'll mark this as a correct answer and hope some other poor soul will come across this thread and be helped by it.

I seem to be having the same problem playing HDMI audio.  Do you happen to remember how you got this resolved?

  • ALSA: Recording Playback Audio with HDA-Intel

    Hello,
My alsa-info. I only use analog output.
Alsamixer looks like this: http://ompldr.org/vYmE4Mw http://ompldr.org/vYmE4NA
I would like to record audio which is being played back on my computer. I need it for recording of gameplay videos. I want to use only ALSA for this and want to avoid PulseAudio, if possible.
Recording audio playing on the computer with Alsamixer tells me that I should use the "Mix" control of the Capture device. However, HDA-Intel appears not to provide such a control.
Does anyone know how I can create such control? Or perhaps I can somehow fake a capture device, that in fact simply plays back the hw:0,0 playback device?
Perhaps the snd-aloop module is a solution.
I will now start reading about .asoundrc files but wanted to leave this question here, because I feel that I'm likely to fail in my search for knowledge.
    Cheers

I can't see a straightforward way to configure icecast to do this on the Arch Wiki.
I tried alsaloop, but it blocks devices when in use. Maybe I'm doing it wrong.
    alsaloop -C hw:0,0 -P hw:0,0 -t 10000
I'm not the first to have this problem (thread of 2010-05-22)
I managed to get play-to-file working but ffmpeg doesn't seem to be able to handle the raw output and I'd have to make "default" play to file, as most games don't allow to set what alsa device to use for sound.

  • Safari load image problem with iMac Intel core

I got my new iMac 20" Intel core and system updated everything. I found that Safari cannot load image in my web photo album ( http://fotop.net/nicknick ), all image became "?".
I can load this page correctly with FireFox and Opera Browser. I also try the iMac 17" PowerPC in my office with the latest version Safari, it also load the album correctly. And I know this web is created and store in a Linux server, the web page coding not written or optimized to IE.
I've try to reinstall the whole OS X, nothing else installed, the same problem occurred.
Is it the problem on Intel core? or any setting I can do to overcome it?
Hope the problem could be solve, I like to use Safari except this problem.
iMac 20" Intel core   Mac OS X (10.4.5)

Well... no - except to ask if your intel imac is connected to the internet in exactly the same way as the ppc imac. If it is, then that's puzzling
You're right, I'm puzzled by the imac.
    Intel imac is at my home, ppc imac is at my office;
both using same ISP but different service plan,
(home:) PPPoE, ADSL modem -> buffalo MIMO wireless router -> intel imac (both direct wire or wireless connect have same result)
(office:) fixed-ip, ADSL modem -> firewall -> Linksys wireless router -> ppc imac (wireless)
both network setting with manual assigned IP, gateway and same DNS
Same result occurred when (1)open box new machine, (2)after updated system, (3)reinstall whole OS with preserve the old setting, (4)reinstall whole OS with erase the whole harddisk option, (5)updated system after the reinstallation.
I firstly think may be some security setting in imac that blocked the images, but can't found out. I secondly think some html code at this web not work on Safari.
May someone with same machine help to open this web to see if all intel imac get the same result?

  • Problem with T500 Intel Wifi Link 5300 adapter connectivity

I upgraded my T500 to Windows 7 Professional from Vista Business.  Since upgrading, I have been unable to obtain satisfactory WiFi connectivity.  Symptoms are that I cannot stream from either the internet or my local server without experiencing periodic interruptions and/or total drops.  I've tried reinstalling the driver, replacing the WiFi card itself, and adjusting the parameters associated with the adapter card.  Nothing seems to help.  I also own a T61 laptop which I also upgraded from Vista Business to Windows 7 Professional, and I have had no problems with WiFi connectivity on that machine.  It also has an Intel Wifi adapter but a different model.  Both laptops connect to my LAN and the internet through the same D-Link wireless access router.
I'm beginning to suspect that the Windows 7 driver for this particular WiFi adapter is flawed.  Has anyone in this forum had a similar experience?
Thanks in advance for your comments/assistance.

try to use your laptop without 'energy star'. setup full speed processor to maximum.
I thinks the problem turn around win7 and 'energy saving driver'

  • [SOLVED] ALSA no sound interrnal speaker with HDA Intel PCH

Hi, i have no sound from the internal speaker of my laptop but the headphones work.
    configuration : http://www.alsa-project.org/db/?f=68a08 … 6d1a1242ae
i have tried to install the driver from realtek and to add the option "model=auto", "model=generic", "model=3stack" to the snd-hda-intel" module without success.
the command "aplay -vv -D hw:0,0  /usr/share/sounds/alsa/test.wav" plays a sound only through the headphones.
have you any idea to help me ?
    thanks

This seems pretty similar to my issue... No sound from my from headphone output at all... I do get sound from the rear output BUT it stops when I plug in the front one!
Ran the monitor option on the python script and see the following...

Not a lot of difference, but enough to see that the system sees the event...
Now I need to know what to do to make sure the sound starts on the front headphone output when the rear one is disconnected, or if they are parallel, not have the sound stop ;-)

  • Z77A-GD65 Problems with Ethernet (Intel 82579V) Code 10 and 55 error

it is just a day with disaster. I bought Z77A-GD65 yesterday, and now it almost driver me crazy , i have two most famous problem of the board ,the CODE10 and ERROR 55!!!
after i bought this board to home ,i spend few hour to figure out the reason why the system can not be booted.
the DIMM SLOT 3&4 of my board is malfunction,no matter what combination i use (1&3,2&3, 3&4...etc),but it works for 1 and 2(i have 4 ram sticks, all of them is fine)
i do upgrade to BIOS 10.5(thx god ,i have two computer ,otherwise i cant even do it because of following issue)
after i solve the problem by only plug in 2 ram (DIMM1&2), succeed to boot up, a new problem occurred to me ,the CODE10!
latest driver , clean system install ,cmos cleaned, does not help.
i have read this thread for code10
    https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=158591.msg1167303#msg1167303
    and  for error55
    https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=158224.0
it seems the best way to solve it is RMA.
I notice that there is an Authorized Motherboard Repair Center (East Coast):
    361 Alden Road
    Markham, Ontario, L3R 3L
i live in Toronto, can i just go there and give the board to them  to fix it or i can only mail it?
If i need to mail it ,what should i do?

Code 10 means the device cannot start. You have the right driver for the Intel 82579V is shorted by either a motherboard screw or a raiser under it. The ethernet adapter has lights which light up id driver is installed (even though code 10 is in effect).
Solution: Remove 1 or 2 motherboard screws and turn the pc on. Repeat until you find out which screw caused the issue. For me it was the screw closest to the ethernet controller.
The wa i fixed it was I was used a plastic washer and I was still able to have the motherboard screw in and at the same time not get code 10 anymore and my Intel 82579V worked fine since.

  • Problem with SOLARIS INTEL SOFTWARE 2

    /usr/bin/bzcat too.
    Any suggestion ???

Just to let you know you are not allone: We have a similar problem here. I have no idea what they mean with the file: itmpt-x86-XXX-itu.dd
Its just not there. Did you solve the problem in the meanwhile?

  • Printing problem with new Intel iMac and Indesign CS3

    Hi there,
this might not be the right place to ask for, but has anybody here experienced printing problems in Indesign CS3 with Tiger?
I just installed the software and tried to print out of Indesign, but nothing. I can see on the panel that data is beeing received but no printing action. And this is just out of the new Indesing CS3.
    Any suggestions?
    Best
    Rolf

Our office is printing fine from ID & PS CS3. This is from Intel & PPC Mac's running 10.4.9.
What is your printer and how is it configured for printing, ie USB or IP.
Also, have a look at the cups error log. You can find this via System Profiler > Software > Logs. This will show which process is failing for the spooled job. You can post it back here for more help.

  • Z77A-GD65 Problems with Ethernet (Intel 82579V) Code 10

    Hi,
on a fresh install of Windows 7 64bit i cannot make the Ethernet port on the motherboard work. It installs fine, but when i check device manager i see this message:
This device cannot start. (Code 10)
I downloaded the latest driver, but still no change.
Looking in device manager, i noticed that the driver Windows had selected was Intel 82579LM, so i reinstalled the driver, and forced 82579V driver, but still no change. I assumed this must be a defect motherboard, so i rma'd it, and got a new one....with the same problem!!!
So any ideas with to do ?

    Hello kaizerman,
    Are you in the US?
Can you send the motherboard to me directly for analysis?
If needed, I will replace the board for you through RMA service.
Please email me at [email protected] but be sure to put my name in the subject field and your board model so it will come to me correctly.
    Sincerely,
    Warner

  • X240 problem with Bluetooth (Intel 7260) on Windows 10

My problem:Bluetooth sets up and appears to work fine for a few minutes, then stops working.  It doesn't work until either the system is restarted or the Bluetooth adapter is disabled and then re-enabled, but in any case stops working again after a short while). When it stops working, the Bluetooth device status in device manager shows as "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"This problem started after upgrading to Windows 10 Pro 64-bit this week from 8.1.  I upgraded from 8.1, and then did a clean re-install.  Never had issues in 8.1.I currently using a Logitech Bluetooth mouse.Tried so far and did not work:Updated drivers using the newest version of Lenovo System Update for Windows 10Installed the newest version of Intel PROSet Bluetooth drivers (released only two days ago on 7/29/15) for the AC7260Uninstalled Intel drivers and rolled back to default Windows driversTried Windows 10 troubleshooting to no avail. Thanks in advance for a solution.

I found this same problem on my brand-new, out of the box MacBook last Friday, and then the same solution you found. It's not ideal, since this also hoses the network settings, but it did get BT back working again.
However, today, almost a week later, the problem is back. I do sleep this little machine frequently, which may have something to do with the problem. I have seen other threads mention the same problem.
What unfortunately I have not seen yet from anybody is a more substantial fix to the problem. Then again, I haven't scoured this forum completely yet.
Thanks in advance for any more clues!

I just took possesion of an IMAC intel-based with 10.8 os. It is good so far but I'm not sure if alot of on/off power button usage is recommended. Is it better to put it to sleep for 1 hourish, or keep popping the power button. Thanks for reading. Double Thanks for an answer.

  • Two problems with new Intel mini

Got me a new Intel Core solo mini a week ago - using it as a media center / fileserver. To that end I have disabled the screensaver (set to 'never') and all other energysavers (also set to 'never'). After some time, the screensaver does start however, which is really annoying as the remote doesn't work well when the screensaver is active. Any ideas why this might be, or more importantly, how I can make sure the screensaver doesn't kick in?
Another thing: OOTB the mini doensn't display the grey startup screen but only the text-mode Unix prompts. Same on shutdown. It works fine, no problems there, but still... I'd like the complete Apple experience. Is there a setting that can be changed to get the cuddly, not-so-frightening grey Apple screen instead of the intimidating Unix messages?
MacBook Pro / Mac Mini   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

    Hello,
For the screen-saver, go into your settings and make sure that "Hot Corners" are not enabled. And, double-check that the "Never" setting was retained for the screen-saver.
As for the text at startup and shut-down, that is "Verbose" mode.
Go in to Terminal (the command line) by going to:
    Applications --> Utilities --> Terminal
at the command line, type in the following exactly as it appears:
    sudo /usr/sbin/nvram boot-args=""
    Then, close terminal, and restart.
Verbose mode is simply a mode that shows you everything that is happening as you start-up. This is useful for figuring out where a system is locking-up during startup, etc.
To see verbose mode, you can also hold down the Command (Apple Key) and the letter "V" while starting up.
Or, you could go into the Terminal again, and type in the following:
    sudo /usr/sbin/nvram boot-args="-v"
hope this fixes it for you.
Let me know how it works out.
    I hope this helps.
