Messaging does not let me move from one conversation to another without going to the contact info of the person and choosing "send a message", then I can continue the conversation. I'm sure it's a setting I have made by mistake, but can't figure it out

Here si what I do:
Since I tend to message with teh same people I leave the messages available to me. If you are in one conversation with "Karen" and want to message with "Kathy" tap the message back arrow and select Kathy.
As always just be careful to rememeber who you are messaging to! -

Try logging in using the Snapfish logon.
From the normal eprint logon screen, click the Snapfish icon ()
Try logging in using your email and selected password.
If the logon fails, try retrieving the password using the Snapfish retrieve pasword option.

Is there free voice mail service? if so how do I set it up? When I click on the voice mail icon all I see is the accept/decline agreement for Visual Voice Mail and it said something about charges will be applied on my bill so I declined.
Your Basic voice mail is a free required program for you if you do not want Basic Visual Voice mail (free) or Premium which is a paid service. Basic Voice Mail set up is free and easy to do.
1. Sign in to your My Verizon online account.
2. On left side of page in Blue letters find the drop down menu. Click to open menu then go to change features and locate Basic Voice mail and click the Red add button.
3. When you're done making this change click next at the bottom of the screen and then ok.
4. Now go into your device and set up your Basic voice mail program. You may continue to receive an error message for a period of time “Visual voice mail update”, just clear and disregard. -
I created second email account ([email protected]) with a Password but when I try to get mail and enter password, it says "Sending of Password did not succeed. Mail server mail.comcast.net responded: login failed". What am I doing wrong?
Have you logged on to the webmail account using a browser and enabled either Pop or Imap forwarding for that email address?
Have you created a mail account in Thunderbird that uses the chosen webmail forwarding option?
Password - make sure caps lock is not switched - it must be the same password you use to access the webmail account.

E-mail from Verizon says I can "Upgrade Now" and has special prices, but VZW won't honor ad!
I got an e-mail from Verizon last night that says "Get your new phone now. Save up to $50 on already discounted phones". The e-mail has some prices on it, such as a new Droid X for $99.99 (2 Year Price: 199.99, online discount -$50.00, exclusive discount -$50.00). The e-mail clearly indicates (by use of the last 4 digits of my phone number) which phone on my contract the offer is good for. When I click on the link in the e-mail, it takes me over to the VZW website, where I enter my username and password. Once I do that, the Droid X is priced at $149.99 (instead of $99.99), and there is NO $50 discount applied to any other phones. I called Verizon's customer service, and got the run around. One CS Rep told me I wasn't eligible for a new phone (then why the e-mail?), and then told me that another line on my contract was eligible for a upgrade. When I check into upgrades on that line, however, the prices are the same as on the first line). I asked to speak to a customer service supervisor, and had to wait an hour before one called back. He also didn't know anything about the e-mail, and implied that I was lying about it.... He asked me to fax the e-mail to him, and then stated it would take several DAYS for him to even get the fax, let alone get back to me. It is my expectation that I will never hear from the Verizon supervisor about this, and will never have the chance to take advantage of this offer. This is CRAPPY customer service! I have been a VZW customer for about 15 years, and have several smartphones ($$$ per month total) on my account. I'm beginning to run out of reasons not to jump ship when my contracts end. I'd like someone from VZW who has a clue what they're doing to contact me...but I'm not holding my breath!

It sounds like this is a standard email for when your NE2 upgrade is available. That would be where the extra $50 comes from. Unfortunately, if the email literally says "Save up to $50 on already discounted phones" that does not guarantee a full $50 off. I can understand your frustration that you got the email in the first place when your line isn't eligible for an upgrade, but Verizon is most likely trying to get you to use the upgrade on the line that is eligible. I'm not saying that is exactly what's happening, but everytime I contacted customer service or went in the store, they tried to get me to use one of my line's upgrades for my own line, which I did not want. -
Internet Mail only says "All Mail" and "No Messages"
I have Bold 9700 with OS 6 and 4 different emails set up. I have work email with BES for Exchange and three different internet email accounts. All of them have been working fine until today. I have my icons set up so there is a different one for each mail account. The "Messages" icon is set up so that only the BES work email is viewable there. The three internet email accounts each have their own icon. When I open the icon for the problem email account it just says * No Messages * and at the top where it used to have the name of that email account it just says "All Mail". I am still receiving email to this account and I can access it by hitting the blackberry button, selecting Filter, and clicking Inbox. This is very inconvenient however, and I want to make it work the way its supposed to and how the other email accounts work. I tried the following with no success:
1. Power off, pull out battery, wait a minute, put back in and power on.
2. Pull out the battery while it is on and put it back in.
3. Delete the email account and recreate it (it just picked up the old settings).
Please help!!! I know I must have screwed up the view settings for this account but I can't figure out how to fix it.Hola octaviolpgr.
Not sure what you mean by “I've just re-installed Mac OSX Tiger”. If you did an Archive and Install, your mail should all be there, just like the rest of your data.
Anyway, Gmail doesn’t allow the same message to be downloaded more than once via POP by normal means. To make already downloaded messages available for POP access again, you must go to Gmail’s Settings > Forwarding and POP page, select Enable POP for all mail, and click Save Changes. -

Ok, that's plenty of space.
Check the S.M.A.R.T. status on your HD: Boot from install disc (insert disc > restart > immediately hold down the c key and keep holding it until you see “Preparing Installation”) > at first screen select the language and click Continue > click on the Utilities Menu in the menu bar > select Disk Utility > select your HD in the panel on the left side (the name of the HD’s manufacturer and the model number, usually the top item in the list) > look at the bottom of the main window next to S.M.A.R.T. status and see if it says “Verified” (good) or something more ominous like “Failing.”
If S.M.A.R.T. status is "Verified," run Repair Disk > click Repair Disk at bottom of main window. Run this at least twice, and keep running it until it says “appears ok” twice in a row. If that doesn’t happen, you may need a stronger utility (such as DriveGenius, TechToolPro, DiskWarrior) or if the directory is damaged beyond repair, you may need to reinstall the OS, or you may have a damaged HD which will need to be replaced (repair utilities can only repair the directory structure, not the HD itself). When this is finished, quit Disk Utility, quit the installer, and restart. Once booted normally, go to Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility and run Repair Permissions. -
Having mail 4.5 issues- open mail and get a new features message that says in order to use the new features, I must import existing messages into the new version first in order to use mail 4.5. Just recently put in MAC OSX 10.6.7. Once it imports I am to click done to start using mail, but end up with the rainbow wheel of death and it also says you cannot use mail until the import is finished? Now What?
Is Mail still "spinning"? If it's been doing that for a while, I'd kill it, using either Activity Monitor or the OS X application picker. Then relaunch Mail and see what happens.
Two "by the ways":
1) Your system details mention an PPC iMac. Since a non-Intel Mac can't run OS X 10.6, you seem to have another Mac. You might want to consider updating your system details.
2) You seem to have been misled by the poor labeling of the message composition fields on this forum into trying to enter your entire post into the "subject" field. In the future, just enter a summary of your post there and the main text into the field below it. -
How do I stop getting messages saying "Safari can't identify the website ca.mg5.mail.yahoo.com. The cerrtificate for this website is invalid " In fact there does not appear to be a problem because when I click "continue" everything proceeds as usual. But I would like to stop getting this message.
Back up all data.
Unlock the Network preference pane, if necessary, by clicking the lock icon in the lower left corner and entering your password. Cllck Advanced, open the DNS tab, and change the server addresses to the following:
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
That's Google DNS. Click OK, then Apply.
In Safari, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
and confirm. If you’re using another browser, empty the cache. Test. Any difference?
Notes:
1. If you lose Internet access after making the above change to your network settings, delete the Google servers in the Network preference pane, then select the TCP/IP tab and click Renew DHCP Lease. That should restore the original DNS settings; otherwise restore them yourself. Remember that you must clickApply in order for any changes to take effect.
2. I don't use Google DNS myself, though I have tested it, and I'm not recommending it or any other DNS provider; the server addresses are offered merely for testing purposes. There may be privacy and technical issues involved in using that service, which you should investigate personally before you decide whether to keep the settings. Other public DNS services exist. -
I'm using FF 34.0.5 (I like it). I use to be able to right click on a link, within an e-mail, and the link would open in a new tab. Now when I click on the link it opens in the same tab replacing my e-mail.
Example - a friend sends me an e-mail containing a link to a web site he thinks I'd like. I click on the link and go to the web site and then go back to the e-mail tab and reply to him. Now, when clicking that link, my e-mail disappears and is replaced by the new site.
How can I fix this? When this happened once before I was told to change the 'value' for a specific 'preference name' through the about:config page.
Can anyone help jog my memory?

One more reason to put my iMAC at the curb. I can open and view Picasa photo links when I sign in via Google, but if I'm in Mail and click on the Picasa image link (my own or one someone else sends me) I can't view the images. They are all blank white squares. This started a few weeks ago. Why can't I view Picasa link images through Mail?

I can't shut down my computer because it says mail is open. It says to close mail and continue shut down. Problem is I can't open or close mail now. Can't shut down my computer at all. What can I do?
If you cannot get mail to quit/force quit, you can always remove power from your Mac.
NOTE: removing power is a bad idea, and can result in data loss, but sometimes it is the only thing left to do.
Press and hold the power button for 5 to 10 seconds, and the Mac will power off.
When you power back on, the Mac should reboot. -
I am from Bangladesh. I can't log in with my gmail Apple ID. When I put in the mail and password, and press sign in, it says it has to review on iTunes. Then I am directed to opening a new account. But why should I , since I have one. Plz help
