Problem with image map

I am trying to create an image map for the map found on my homepage - http://www.smartcharteribiza.com/
I have followed a couple of tutorials and everything seems to be working in photoshop, but when I upload the image to wordpress, the map does not display properly, as you can see. There are white squares where I have tried to put the links as though that part of the image has been cut out.
I dont understand what is causing the problem. Any ideas?

Problem with image map in IE

I am trying to create a clickable county map using Spry. The
following code works in Firefox (2) but fails in Internet Explorer

If I take a line from the output of this table and paste it
into the code, it works fine - ie there's nothing wrong with the
xml or the format of the code, it's just that IE doesn't seem to
like Spry code in the area tag.
I've looked elsewhere on the web for an answer but can't find
one - anybody here tried this?

Hello John,
What really happens and I failed to test because I didn't had
a suitable XML and I thought the results were OK, the <AREA>
from within the region is executed by the IE on load before the
region to come and replace the correct values. In this situation
the value inside the coords attribute only are considered incorrect
and replaced with 0,0,0,0. Because of this when the region finally
arrive to put the correct values do not finds any markup to replace
for the coords attribute so even if all the other regions are put
correctly you can't see them as all the areas are 0,0,0,0.
A work around for this situation is to create a new attribute
for the <AREA> where the spry will come and will insert the
coords correct values. In this sample below I call it spry_coords:

spry:repeat="spryDataSet" spry:setrow="spryDataSet" />
After this we will have using an post update observer to get
the values from the spry_coords filled by Spry and inject them back
into the coords. In this case you should add the following code
just after the spryDataSet definition in your page:

Iam facing with one problem.I have one swing interface through which I can upload files(back end servlet programme).Now I can upload all types of file but problem with image file it uploading perfectly that means size of the uploaded file is ok but its format damaged.It can not be open.My backend servlet programme is ok coz i tested it with html form it is working perfectly.Problem with swing interface.Plz guide me where I done a mistake.Below r my codes:-

Problem with images opened in Photoshop CS 5

Hi, I have a problem with images that I open in Photoshop CS 5. F. ex. I opened
the following image:
The image appears with a purple color in Photoshop. If I hover over the image
with a tool like lasso, it temporarily regains it´s original color. The image mode is RGB Color, 8 Bits/Channel.
I resetted the start settings of Photoshop with the CTRL-Shift-Alt-combination, which had no effect.

The confusion arises from the imprecise error message in the Preferences > Performance dialog box, to wit:

Could not find a list for CS6 specifically, but the card may fall short.

Problem with Image.createImage()

I'm writing a simple midlet just to display an image on the screen and I'm having some problems with Image.createImage()

If you are catching IOException, then u may have problem with ur image path. "image not found on the specified path." if ur image is not in the current directiry then put it into current directory. otherwise, If u are using resouce folder and it is already included into the resouce path, then put ur image in that folder..try this..
Still not get, then please give some detail about ur development toolkit. and ur apllication packaging scheem. are you using ANT?

Do you have an example? I develop Google maps for Web pages and haven't had problem with Safari and its extensions, only FF which I took out all the addons and plug-ins, but it wouldn't surprise if the Google map code doesn't display the map or information for the map or doesn't work with newer versions of Safari.

Problems with image scaling

I'm facing a real problem with image scaling
I've used several algorithms but it all has defects but the most common thing is the out of memory error after several enlargments...
does any one know a solution...

Did you take into account that the getScaledInstance() -method creates a completly new Image?
So if you use it like in
ImageIcon icon1=new ImageIcon("Blah.gif");
ImageIcon icon2=new ImageIcon(icon1.getImage().getScaledInstance(400,400,SCALE_FAST);
you will end up with 2 different Images which have their own data and memory requirements.
even if you use something like
ImageIcon icon1=new ImageIcon("Blah.gif");
Image i=icon1.getImage();
icon1.setImage(i.getScaledInstance(200,200,SCALE_FAST));
You will need enough memory to store the data for the original image, as well as the data for the scaled
version of the image, at least for the time that it take the JRE to create the scaled version. You never know when the garbage collector kicks in to delete you old data so it could be that this takes some time and until
that moment your memory is not available. If your now doing several of the scaling operations, and there is no chance for the garbage collector to do its work, you will run out of memory.
I hope that might help, if not feel free to post again

Problems with Image Variants

I got two problems with Image Variants:
1. catalogCache.GetImagePath("Images", id) doesnt work for some id. The error message is GetImageVariant error.
2. catalogCache.Preload("Images", Original)
    catalogCache.Preload("Images", Thumbnails)
    catalogCache.Preload("Images", null)
   catalogCache.Preload("Images", "")
get failed, the status code is -2147483647
Anyone know how to setup image variants?

I have an HTML page where an IMG is loaded:

Then I have 4 images maps laid on top of the image:

See Example:
Each area is essentially an invisible button. I want to make it so when the mouse hovers over the areas, I want the background image to display something different. On mouse out of the area, I want the image to go back. When the user clicks the Area, the user is moved to another part of the site.
Area 1 should change Main_Image.jpeg to Main_Image1.jpeg
Area 2 should change Main_Image.jpeg to Main_Image2.jpeg
etc.
I thought I could do this with Images Maps, but I can't figure out how. Is there an easier way? I have Dreamweaver CS4.

I have serious problems with list-mapping, collection-mapping and map-mapping.
Acording to specifications and requirements in a system I am working on it is needed to
get a "list" of values or an indivudual value.I am working with ORACLE 9i Database,
ORACLE 9i AS and ORACLE 9i JDEVELOPER.
I tried to map a master-detail relationship in an entity-bean, using list-mapping.
And this was very useful in order to get a "list" of details, ...but, when I wanted
to get a single value I have some problems with persistence, something about "saving a state"
despite I just want to get the value of a single detail.
I decided to change it to map-mapping and the problem related with a single detail
worked successfully, but I can get access to the whole bunch of details.
May anyone of you help me with that?
I am very confused I do not know what to do.
Have any of you a solution for that problem?

Problems with Parameter Mapping

Hi All,
I have problems with parameter-mapping. For me its a black box, sometimes it works sometimes not.
Lots of times my mappings doesnt work, and I dont know the reason.
For example: I want to map my Execution-CO to the Display-CO. For that I map the in the affected Action.
But it doesnt work, although I do have the same Context Structures, because its the same CO. The technical Name is also the same.
What could it be?

sorry for my late answer, but I'm writing my diploma thesis and wasnt at work since wednesday and so I dont have a access to our GP-System.
Hope I understood you right.
The Use Case of parameter mapping is that Users of further steps has the possibility to see the Input of previous steps.
When I dont map the parameter inside one action, it isnt possible. I tried it out with the SAP example "Time-off-process". I took the CO "Create Request" and add it in one Action (as Display & Execution). When I understand you right mapping inside an action is not necessary, to see the Inputs from further Actions --> But this way I cannot see the Inputs.
The mapping of my application works before I changed it.
I know never touch a running system, but It was necessary, we need a new Input and Output Parameter.
Cause I have 20 parameter the mapping was very time-consuming, to map every single parameter. I read a method to reduce the time: Adding a structure requires only mapping of the two structures. But now the Mapping doesnt work.

Copy and Paste Problems with Images

I'm having the strangest problems with images. I copy an image off of the web for one of my art history classes and I go to paste into another program but, whether it's Keynote, Powerpoint, Photoshop, or Graphic Converter, something always goes wrong: the images definitely lose some of their quality, become brighter in appearance, and get jagged on the edges. This is starting to drive me nuts, especially since it never happened in 10.4 on my iBook G4. Any suggestions?

Make it an 8-bit file (Image menu > mode).
