  • Problem with a compiled program

    Hello,
I have a problem with a compiled program on labview 6i.
This program used a serial port (COM1 or COM2).
During the launching of the ".exe ", a fatal error occurs.
    Here this error:
=> APPLICATION caused an invalid page fault in
    => module LVRT.DLL at 0167:30164426.
    Can somebody help me?

    Cedric,
This problem was fixed in the LabVIEW 6.0.2 update. You can download this update (along with the updated runtime engine) from our website.
Good luck with your application, and have a pleasant day.

  • Problem with model instantiation

I have an EJB model and while instantiating it in WDP I am getting  an error at runtime:
The initial exception that caused the request to fail, was:
       java.lang.NullPointerException
at -- Optimized, preallocated exception. No stack trace. Run VM with -XX:-OmitStackTraceInFastThrow to avoid this optimization. -- .()
I cant make any head and tail out of this. There is absolutely nothing in stackTrace other than the above message. I could instantiate my other EJB models and they are working fine. I dont know why this one particular model is giving some problems...
I tried reimporting/rebuilding/reload but in vain. My WS (which encapsulates EJB) is working fine.
    Please help!!!

The compiler does not generate template instances that are already in libCstd, which is linked by default to programs. Instead of trying to force those instances into your shared library, you should build your library with a dependency on libCstd.
Remember that no system libraries are referenced automatically when you create a shared library -- you have to mention them explicitly. Normally you want to link against libCstd, libCrun, libm and libc. Refer to the C++ User's Guide that comes with the compiler, the "Building Libraries" chapter.

  • Problem with model size in Visual Composer

    Hello madam/sir,
We are using ECC 5.0 and VC 700.8.0.1. We got error message during
deployment "Error in compiling Flex application. Branch between 19217
and 228774 around line 0 exceeds 32K". When we delete several blocks in
the model, it works good. So tried to delete different blocks so we
think that the problem is not with specific block but with model size.
Our model is in one iView. We cannot use additional nested
iViews because we have HTML View blocks that cannot be in
nested iView (according to VC documentation). Is there any solution for
this error? What does it mean?
    Best Regards,
    Sergey Kozyrev

I agree with Ashutosh, you have to remodeling your model. You can also try to restart VC and deploy your model again, this might also help sometimes (I had sometimes the issue, that I removed any components and then I get the 32K error, after restarting the error disappeared).
You can also check if you have any global entry list, which you do not use in your model, this also could help to reduce you model size.

  • Problem with SRF compilation

    Hi,
I encountered a problem during compilation in tools:
    >
Could not open repository file 'C:\Siebel\8.1\SiebelTools8113\OBJECTS\ENU\siebel_sia.srf'.
File does not exist or may be in use by another process.(SBL-DAT-00142)
    >
    Siebel Tools version: 8.1.1.3
    Siebel Server version: 8.1.1.3
installed on Windows 2003 server with service pack.
I did the following but the error still appeared during compilation:
    1. In siebel tools > Help Menu > About SRF > Filename pointing to --> C:\Siebel\8.1\SiebelTools8113\objects\enu\siebel_sia.srf
    2. I went to this directory "C:\Siebel\8.1\SiebelTools8113\objects\enu\" right clicked the siebel_sia.srf then click properties to check if the file's property is set to read-only and it was unchecked.
    3. In windows control panel > Administrative Tools > Services: I shutdown the siebel server and the siebel gateway server
    4. I also checked the task manager to see if all siebel processes were ended. I stopped all siebel processes aside from siebel Tools.
    5. I check if any program is accessing the srf file using a process monitor. No other process was accessing the file.
    6. Open tools, login in local DB
    7. Compiled a selected object (Siebel repository file: C:\Siebel\8.1\SiebelTools8113\objects\enu\siebel_sia.srf)
    8. When I press compile the error above appeared.
After the error appeared I check again using the process monitor to check whether other process has a handle to the SRF file, but there was none.
Could anyone help me? Have I missed something that might have caused this error?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
You cannot compile on the Tools SRF when you are logged into Siebel Tools.
Try to do a full compile on the SRF located in the client folder.
In you case it might be at location C:\Siebel\8.1\SiebelClient\objects\enu\
Once done the full compile on the client SRF use the SRF to connect the client.
    Warm Regards

  • Problems with PiPL compilation

    Hello All,
I am in the middle of porting over a suite of existent CS5 plugins from Windows to Mac and am running into some compilation problems during the phase of building the .r file of a filter project. As such, and to be explicit, I am running into the following problems on the Mac, and was wondering if anyone knew how to fix the issues.
I have attempted to set up the Xcode project exactly as specified in the Premiere Pro CS5 SDK Guide on page 20-21 and also have a very similar overall source structure as seen in the 'Simple_Video_Filter' example that comes bundled with the SDK. However, upon reaching the build phase of my project where the .r file is getting compiled, I am getting hit with three errors which I can't seem to get rid of. The errors are as follows:
    1) At the line in my .r file that reads:
    resource 'PiPL' (16000) {
I am getting an error that states:
Can't find the declaration for the resource type 'PiPL' (0x5069504C)
    2) At line 98 of 'PrSDKTypes.h' that reads:
    typedef csSDK_uint64 csSDK_size_t
I am getting an error that states:
Expected 'DATA', ENUM', 'INCLUDE', 'READ', 'RESOURCE', or 'TYPE', but got identifier (typedef)
    3) At line 331 of 'PrSDKTypes.h' that reads:
    struct PrParam
I am getting an error that states:
Expected 'DATA', ENUM', 'INCLUDE', 'READ', 'RESOURCE', or 'TYPE', but got identifier (struct)
Note that I have also made a direct copy of the entire 'Simple_Video_Filter' project that exists in the SDK (and builds properly on my machine) and reworked this copy using my .cpp, .h and .r files (changing pertinent project names where necessary) and am getting these exact same three errors. As I am getting the last two errors in header files that come with the SDK, it seems there has got to be something off in my own files somewhere, but I just can't figure out where.
Anyone seen something like this before and know a fix?
    Thanks in advance,
    Josh

As usual, shortly after I posted I seem to have found the fix.
It seems that on the Mac there are portions of 'PrSDKPiPLVer.h' that are dependent upon 'MAC_ENV' being defined. In my own .r file I had moved around the #define MAC_ENV so that it came after calling #include "PrSDKPiPLVer.h" and so MAC_ENV was not yet defined when including the code of that .h file - hence the compile errors.

  • Problems with masks compiled on win2000.

    Hi all,
if I compile masks on win2000, these are not displayed correctly in winnt. The patchset is the same on both systems (6.0.8.16.1 for forms builder and runtime). on win2000 the form is displayed correctly. But on winnt the bars (toolbar, navbar) are not visible. The second problem is the mask not open in full screen in forms runtime but as a window in a windows.
    best regards, steven

I found the other DevZone discussion you reffered to with gesa.
    http://exchange.ni.com/servlet/ProcessRequest?RHIVEID=101&RNAME=ViewQuestion&HOID=50650000000800000056160000&ECategory=LabVIEW.LabVIEW+General
You might try the suggestion that was made there. Since the error message is complaining about the 9th argument of the property node, we can try removing it; that is, delete the constant connected to the last input and shrink the property node so that there is no DTR input. Alternatively, you can change the flow control mode to . I think what is going on here is that in the original VI, the VI set the flow control to DTR/DSR (hardware flow control) and then asserted the DTR line so that it would be in the proper state for
the communication to begin. This may have been allowed in an older version of VISA, but I think in the new VISA, if you use hardware control, it won't let you manually change the state of that line. The line state should be controlled automatically by the low level drivers. The result is the error you are seeing which is basically telling you that you do not currently have access to that line. If you use a flow control mode that does not use that line, you are allowed to assert it manually.

    please, could anyone help me?
    Version: 3.1.1.703
    Thanks in advance and Regards

    Hi Philip,
I finally could solve the problem,
one FK in the model was in strange status, I could not drop the foreign key, the DELETE function on the menu was not working for this object,
I have dropped from the folder the xml of this object and I have deleted from objects.local in the "rel" directory the reference to this object.
after that I'm able again to use the model,
for more information I have to add that the FK was duplicated, I mean, two FK with the same name and one of them I could view the properties and I could drop it from the model but the other one I couldn't until I drop the xml,
Thanks anyway for your help and I guess this problem comes from a SVN conflict or something related to control version,

  • Compare Merge Model problems with models from different connections

    Hi all,
I've experienced a problem while using the compare/merge model funcion under tools.
    Just to put in place:
I've 4 model, one for each enviroment that I have: DEV, INT, TEST, PROD(*each model imported from different connections*). Because I haven't found any reliable way to keep them sincronyzed, using DLL deltas. Is there a way to do that?
Anyway, regarding the main subject problem. Whem I try to sync for example, from PROD, to TEST, using compare/merge model function under tools, the process find the differences. When I selecte those that I want, and click on merge, the destination model TEST, get the selected objects merged into.
But now, the model Schema, when I select sincronyze model with data dictionary to get de DLL delta, things get crazy, and the merged objects doesn't get detected to be created.
If it's help, I think that the is with the associated import connection than the merged objects have. They have the PROD connection name, instead of the TEST connection name. Also when I try to syncronize the relational model againts de data dictionary(database), datamodeler ask me wich connection to use, PROD or TEST. When, before, merging, model, data modeler did not ask me anything.
Why is data modeler doing this?
What I have seen is when you import in a model things from different connections/models, when you try to sincronyze agains a connection, all objects that are not from the selected connection doesn't get compared.
Is there a bug or a problem?
How can I can keep a schema in different enviroments, sync? What are the step that I shoulf follow?
    Thanks in advance.
    Edited by: morfeo8marc on 14-mar-2012 11:17

I shall try to explain what is happening here.
When you import objects from TEST data dictionary, their source information (see Summary info in Properties dialog) will refer to TEST.
The relational model for TEST will contain source information (see Summary info in Properties dialog) for the connection to TEST.
Similarly, imported objects from PROD will refer to the PROD data dictionary, and the PROD relational model will hold connection details for PROD.
If you merge PROD objects into the TEST model, they will retain their source information (i.e. referring to PROD).
The TEST model will be updated to include connection details to PROD.
When you synchronize a model, if it only has one source connection, it uses that.
If it has more than one, it will prompt you to decide to which data dictionary it should synchronize.
In your case, for the TEST data dictionary, it will synchronize all objects that have source information for TEST (i.e. those imported from TEST).
It will also compare any new objects (i.e. those not imported from a data dictionary).
It will not compare objects that were imported from a different data dictionary (e.g. PROD).
This supports the scenario where a model consists of objects imported from more than one data dictionary, and where the data dictionaries are maintained separately.
We may need to review the above strategy in light of your experience and development process.
In the meantime, may I suggest that from your updated TEST model, you Import from Data Dictionary using the TEST connection.
The resulting Compare Models dialog should show all objects (i.e. those from TEST and PROD).
You may need to set the Swap Models option to generate DDL with which to update your TEST data dictionary.
Thank you for raising this matter.

    Tony Rose

  • Problem with NOCOPY compiler hint in form library

When compiling the following code in a package as part of a PL/SQL library attached to my version 6 form, I get the error below.
The error does not occur if I remove the "NOCOPY" compiler hint. Anyone know what the problem is?
    TYPE duplicate_id_tab IS TABLE OF duplicate_id_rec;
    PROCEDURE find_duplicate_ids (pidm_dupes IN OUT NOCOPY duplicate_id_tab, LName_in IN VARCHAR2,FName_in IN VARCHAR2);
    Error 103 at line 13, column 59
Encountered the symbol "DUPLICATE_ID_TAB" when expecting one of the following:
    :=,),@ % default character
The symbol ":=" was substituted for "DUPLICATE_ID_TAB" to continue.

I posted an answer to this but it seems to have failed, so I'll send it again.
The NOCOPY reserved word appeared in PL/SQL 8.1.x. Forms 6i uses PL/SQL 8.0.6. Therefore, you can't use NOCOPY in Forms 6i.
Oracle9i Forms uses a later version of PL/SQL, so it works. I already tested in Oracle9i Forms for you.
We do not change the RSFs except in a major release. Therefore, no version of Forms 6i will support NOCOPY.

Following some recommendations I already created a "Dummy"-WD Component with a "do nothing"-method in the Model-DC which I then call in the UI-DCs wdDoInit() to instantiate the model, but without any success.
    Has anybody got an idea?
    Thanks a lot in advance!
