Problem with Picsel Smart Office Palm Pre 2

I bought SmartOffice last weekend, but when I launch this app, the app tells me the licence is not verified in a red screen of death.
I have an unlocked EU Palm Pre2, I use it in Spain. The device is activated with Movistar, but now it is use it with Simyo.
I am extremely disappointed. I wish a solution or a refund. I have problems with NDrive and PDK GPS bug also, and after some months there is not a solution
I cannot waste my money in apps that are not working.

Well,
I've solved my problem.
I changed my Sim card with one of the carrier my Pre 2 was activated. Rebooted the Pre2 and then Smart Office was working.
I replaced again, then sim card with my carrier one, and it worked again.
This is a stupid thing, it seems that licenses are checked against carriers, but people change their carriers phone.

    Hello anyone who can help me out.  I've read some of the threads and it seems that I'm not the only one having this issue, but I just bought a Palm Pre and I work at a school district that uses Groupwise.  I can get my emails on my Pre but I cannot send messages.  Is anyone else having this issue and if so is there a solution?  Any help would be great.  =)

    I don't know if I can get in on this forum or not but I have the same problem with connecting my Palm TX to Groupwise.  Error code says "unable to connect to mail.......org Please verify your server name entry."  I have nothing set in the "advanced section of the account set up.  I am sorry if I am not following discussion board etiquette.  This is an IMAP e-mail account. 

  • Problems with Repeating Events on Palm and iCal

    Hi,
    I'm having a problem with daily-repeating events entered into either my Palm or iCal. When I put events in my palm and sync them to iCal, the iCal calendars look right, but then the Palm events become truncated,i.e. only the first day of daily event will be visible. If I do nothing but just sync again, the events in iCal become weirdly duplicated, i.e. if an event had two repeats, the "original" occurrance will be there, along with a second, starting on next day of the series, lasting for the same number of repeats. Is there any way to make one calendar the overwriting calendar while using iSync? Or do you know of some other fix? This problem doesn't seem to affect other repeating events, either monthly or yearly.

    As I just posted in another thread, there are a whole series of 'representation disconnects' between the Palm calendaring application and iCal.
    While this article— iSync: About Syncing Recurrent Events Between iCal and Palm OS Based Devices—would lead to you believe that iSync is primarily the issue, it's not: this behavior occurs primarily because of the differences between the calendaring programs in each environment, and only secondarily because of the manner in which records are pushed and pulled by the synchronization framework.
    iSync itself is simply another compliant sync client, and there is unfortunately no workaround for the issues delineated in the article.

  • Problems with printing MS Office docs from web-mail in Safari

    Hello,
    I have some problems when I try to print MS Office documents which are the attachments in my web-mail in Safari. I open the attachment online without saving it on my computer. Safari shows a blank page in Print Preview and the printer prints a blank page too. We tried to repeat it with another printer and with another iMac. The result is the same. PDF files have no problem with previewing and printing. Does anybody know how to resolve this problem? Thank you!

    Hi, thank you for your comment. I tried this, but the list of plug-ins doesn't have Adobe PDF browser plugin  (or PDF browser plugin). The screenshot is attached....

    I just purchased a Windows Vista computer and having problems with getting my Palm 125 to sync with the desktop.  I get an error message saying:  "Com1 not available"  What do I do?

    Sorry, that didn't work.  I get no drop down menu from the Hot Sync Manager for the Serial Port.  What comes up often is:  "The selected port, COM1, is not available at this time.  Hot Sync Manager will open the port when it becomes available." 
    Could it be the Norton Antivirus Firewall that is preventing the Hot Sync Manager to open the Serial Port?  Just a thought.  Thanks for your help.

  • Problem with Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Addin

    I have recently installed MS Office 2010 on my W7 system but find that the Acrobat addin for MS Word 2010 is not working -- it gives errors messages and recommends that I disable the addin.
    This all used to work fine with MS Word 2007.
    Is there anything that can be done about this problem. Is there an upgrade for the Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Addin ?

    Whilst the main reason for 64 bit Office is large and complex Excel files, significant performance gains have been found in other usage scenarios, such as with lengthy and complex Word documents (especially when using complex plugins such as EndNote). It is in users' interests to use 64 bit Office if they can - but this is only possible if all their plug-ins support 64 bit Office.
    I see Microsoft's document as a classic support driven response (or should I call it a cop-out) - there are compatibility issues with non-Microsoft software, so, to eliminate the support burden, we will steer you towards the lowest common denominator of installing 32 bit Office even if you have an x64 OS. Whilst this makes a great deal of sense, in that many users will see no advantage in 64 bit Office, there are plenty of users, including myself, who would see advantages from 64 bit Office but are being prevented from moving to 64 bit Office because third party plug-in providers have yet to make 64 bit versions available.
    The situation with 64 bit Office plug-ins mirrors the situation with 64 bit Photoshop plug-ins, but with one key difference. Photoshop CS4, CS5 and CS5.1 (same as CS5; the apparent version bump indicates it was installed as part of Creative Suite 5.5) default to installing both 32 bit and 64 bit versions on x64 versions of Windows. You can therefore pick and choose which version of Photoshop you use according to which plug-ins you need. I'm now in the fortunate position of having 64 bit versions of all but two of the plug-ins I use regularly. I start the 32 bit version of Photoshop CS5.1 if I need those plug-ins, but my default is the 64 bit version.
    Office 2010 requires you to choose between 32 bit and 64 bit; you cannot install both at the same time, and you cannot mix and match between different Office applications (so, for example, installing 64 bit Project 2010 alongside 32 bit Office Professional Plus 2010 is not supported and may cause problems - indeed, I'm not sure if the Project installer would allow you to install the 64 bit version if you had 32 bit Office applications already installed). This makes the unavailability of 64 bit versions of a single plugin that you require for one Office application a total bar to moving to 64 bit Office.
    Unfortunately, this creates a 'chicken and egg' effect - the apparent demand for 64 bit versions of Office plugins is reduced because the unavailability of 64 bit versions of a crucial plugin prevents a move to 64 bit Office. I, for one, have a clear intention to switch to 64 bit Office, and will not buy new products or pay to upgrade existing ones unless they support 64 bit Office. Many products that can hardly be said to be aimed at the Office power user have supported 64 bit Office for some while, including Dragon NaturallySpeaking 11.5 and 11.0.
    I wholeheartedly welcome the support for some 64 bit Office applications in Acrobat 10.1, but urge Adobe to provide complete support for 64 bit Office 2010. Currently, 64 bit versions of Visio 2010, Project 2010, Access 2010 and Publisher 2010 are not yet supported in PDFMaker. Hopefully this support will be forthcoming in a future quarterly update.
    There is a mistake in your post - 64 bit Outlook 2010 is supported in Acrobat 10.1's PDFMaker. The issue with Outlook in the blog post you linked to is that Outlook 2010 doesn't have Microsoft's Save as PDF functionality - but if you have PDFMaker, using PDFMaker is the best option anyway.

  • Problem with conexant smart audio hd

    I bought toshiba satellite L750 with conexant smart audio hd sound card... when i connect it to my stereo, it's not the same sound as on other laptop with realtek sound card, it's very low. My phone with 3.5 mm jack gives better sound... is it hardware or software problem... pls help, tnx.

    Abysmal your model appears to be from Europe, perhaps Hungry?
    I don't have a Conexant sound card, I have a Realtek, so I can't test anything.There doesn't appear to be much in the way of help or advice on this issue on our forum. Perhaps you'll have better luck on the Toshiba Europe Forums.
    But, if you find a solution, we'd appreciate you posting it back here.

  • Strange Problem with Forms (Smart Forms)

    I have lately been experiencing a strange problem with standard forms in the system. We have WebAS640 / ECC5.0 System. Soon after the initial run of patches, most forms in the system are showing the character '#' in place of formatted texts.
    I have searched the internet and most forums, but have not found a solution. Since this is the standard forms that i am talking about (unmodified and untouched) so i assumed this had something to do with our patch levels. However that is only an assumption.
    In particular i am having problem with the billing invoice type RD00, form name: LB_BIL_INVOICE. I have traced the problem to this much. The form shows the expected text, where no character format is applied to it. And where ever there is some character format, it just shows a string of hashes ('#'). The style being used by this form is LO_STYLE.
    I am also listing my patch levels in case that helps.

    Interesting problem. You are seeing replacement characters, because assigned font(size) is not installed (somewhere, SAP or printer).
    But since this is completely standard, open an OSS-request - maybe it's not as fast as SDN, but I'm sure you will get a qualified answer (and solution).

  • Problem with sle4428 smart card ... PLZ help me!

    I must use sle4428 .but I have problem with reading and writing on it!
    when i send my write ADPU command to card it response with 90 00 which means that it write on the card correctly(at least that's what i think it should mean!)
    but when i send my read ADPU command it doesn't read the right thing although it response with 90 00 !

    you must verify pin, and then write to card.
    use this command for verifying pin[present_code_memory_card]:
    FF 20 00 00 02 FFFF
    FFFF is default pin.
    if correct code has been presented to to the card,
    in response message error counter is FF [ first bytes of response].
    use this command for writing 5152 to address 00aa:
    FF D0 00 AA 02 5152
    read command :
    FF B2 00 AA
    in each command, set Le to appropriate value.

  • Answers to Problems With Icloud and Office 2007 Outlook?

    My computer has a Windows 7, 64 bit operating system and Microsoft 2007 Office, which includes Outlook 2007 where I do most of my mail and keep my daily calendar and all my contacts. I wanted to sync my iphone 5 calendar with Microsoft's Office 2007 Outlook Calendar. I followed the instructions but it has never worked and Icloud put my original Outlook Calendar and Contacts in the deleted folder for Outlook and substituted folders called Contacts1 and Calendar1. Unfortunately, the sync with my iphone does not work properly. It did the very first time after installing icloud and itunes but thereafter all it does is upload stuff to icloud and additions made in my Office 2007 Outlook calendar since the first sync do not get transferred to my iphone calendar. After numerous attempts to make this work I decided to just forget about trying to sync with icloud so I deleted it from my system along with itunes and now i am left with the icloud calendar1 and contacts1 in Outlook 2007. I am unable to transfer my icloud calendar entries back to the original Outlook 2007 calendar the same for contacts. Can anyone tell me how to do this so I can delete the icloud folders contacts1 and calendar1 from Outlook 2007?  Thanks.

    Try to export them as .pst files from within Outlook (http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/export-contacts-HA102919759.aspx).  Then disable iCloud syncing and import the .pst backups back to Outlook.

  • Problem With Logging in to Palm website

    Here is a problem I posted to another topic but it belongs here under browser questions. When I try to open the Palm Inc. website, the various parts of the site seem to overlay earch other. It's as if the page were cut up and dropped onto my screen, with some areas not readable or partially visible, (and usually all the blanks to fill in are covered. ) I have tried to log into their discussion group but when I try to activate my account, I find the Continue button is covered by the site's various other tabs. An email to Palm has resulted in no answer yet, but I'm hoping someone here has had a similar problem. This has happened on only one or two other websites and I can't remember which ones.
    By the way, I am using the Explorer 5.3 browser which comes with my bellsouth.net email program. Besides the loyalty to Mac, should I switch over to using Safari? Before posting this, I tried the Palm website and it opened fine, every piece of it where it should be. I have seen a number of problems using it, like not being able to log into bank checking account websites.

    Bob,Welcome to Apple Discussions. Palm web site seems fine in Safari 1.3.1 under Panther, but is improperly rendered in IE 5.2. There are several Web Browsers available for the Mac and IE is one that is no longer supported. I've not come across any issues with Safari yet. (Just a couple of sites tell me I'm going to have problems - but I don't). Here are some other choices of Mac Web browsers. (The ones in Red are the full on browsers.)

  • I have problems opening PDF files on Palm Pre using Telcel (Mexico)

    I've tried to open a few digitalized books in pdf format in the Palm and the machine tells me "Excuse me there is an error", I'll explain with details below. The files do open correctly on a computer.
    The files do open, but if you leave the palm idle for enough time for the machine to turn off, when you attempt to access the file after this it gives me an error message stating it can't review the file. The text of the book that I leave it be when I leave the palm idle when I reaccess it after idle mode stays literally frozen. You can close the software (pretty much the only option available since it froze).
    Sometimes the file works fine, but other times it doesn't. The problem arose when I downloaded a few Operating System WebOS 1.4.0 updates in spanish.

    If I read your issue correctly, the PDF viewer is locking up and becoming unresponsive after the screen times out or goes dark. If this is the case, this is an issue that has been reported by Palm and forwarded to our engineering department. At this time we don't have an ETA on when this will be resolved.

  • Problem with Spin Smart Build

    Hi all, I am currently working on a year in review slide with 90 or so photos, I have an image as my Background and in the center of the slide I want to have the pictures spin in and out. It works except that I keep getting white boxes at random intervals where pictures do exist. All the pics are coming from my iPhoto libraries. Any advice?

    I've run into the same problem on SOME transitions when exporting to FLASH (.swf) format.
    In my case it ONLY happens if I have more than 12 photos in the smart build, and some transitions do NOT have the problem (FLIP and SPIN do NOT; push does - unfortunately)...
    can anybody else confirm that the problem only happens with more than 12 photos???
    also, the white 'boxes' in the center of the flash are the outlines of other photos... with 13 photos, the white box is of the 2nd pic in the build; with 14 photos, the 2nd and 3rd outlines show up; etc.

    Our phone support is open every day Monday through Sunday, although there are different hours of operation for the weekend. If after a webOS Doctor reset you are still experiencing the same problems, I would likely recommend replacement, either in a local store for your carrier or through our technical support department.
    There may be additional technical support offered or suggested over the phone, this would need to be done first before a replacement could be issued.

    I can see the Notes Icon (Applications/Office/Notes) - yet when I select Notes, the screen slightly flashes and I have no access to the Notes

    Your class Edge is a member of the instance of the current class. You don't have an implicit instance of the current class (the "this" reference) in a static context, therefore you get the error.
    You need to either declare Edge as static, move it outside your class, or create an explicit instance of the outer class which you use to create instances of Edge ("Edge e = new YourMainClass().new Edge()")
