Problem with Pre-Popup-Menu in Hierarchical Tree

Hi,
In Forms 10g I have made an application with an Hierarchical Tree. All works well, except the use of the Pre-Popup-Menu trigger.
In that trigger when I read the values of Node_Label and Node_Value I get the values of the previous selected node, not the values of the node on which I issue the right mouse click. So, it seems that by clicking the node I need is not selected.
Does anyone have any clues to solve this problem?
Thanks in advance.

Right clicking does not change the current selection. The tree has no way to report what node was right clicked. Only work around is to left click the node you wish then right click it.

  • Problem with fireworks popup menu in dreamweaver, has a huge box.

    hi, i made a popup menu in fireworks, and when i open that
    html page in dreamweaver, there is a huge white box around the
    popup menu area, so that i cant type anything under the menu or
    anywhere near it. i was wondering how i get rid of this white box.
    any help greatly appreciated. thanks. derek
    here is the code

    You have Dreamweaver, which is a wonderful and powerful
    program for building HTML. So
    why are you trying to build a navigation menu in Fireworks,
    which is a graphics program? Please. I beg you! Save yourself hours
    of headaches: create your graphics in Fireworks and your HTML in
    Dreamweaver.
    For example, this code would be impossible to maintain.
    Here's one of your navigation items:
    img src="untitled-4_r2_c2.gif" alt="" name="untitled4_r2_c2"
    width="98" height="48" border="0" id="untitled4_r2_c2"
    Do you even know which image this is or which link it's
    intended to take? Create your images with decent names like
    "contact.gif" or "products.gif" so you can write clear code.
    The first row and the first and last columns of your table
    have 1-pixel spacer gifs. Fireworks always puts in spacer gifs. If
    you're not aware of them, and take them out, you might get to later
    stages of your development process and wonder why you couldn't get
    your navigation menu to line up with everything else.
    As for that "big white box," it's a combination of the div
    the table is in and the 100% width on the table:
    div id="FWTableContainer1329034333
    table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="100"
    I have no idea what the div CSS is doing, but if I comment it
    out and take out the 100% width attribute on the table, then I get
    something that behaves more reasonably. FWTableContainer1329034333
    isn't in your code, but it still does something in my system, so
    either the long strings of numbers don't matter or it's coming from
    some place else and who knows what it is.
    My point is, that by letting Fireworks write bad code for
    you, you've set yourself up with something that doesn't work and is
    extremely difficult, if not impossible, to debug and maintain. Why
    would you do this to yourself?

  • Problem with Show Popup Menu in Dreamweaver 8

    I am trying to add the behavior show pop up menu to
    an image. When I try to I get the error While executing onLoad in
    ShowPopup Menu.js the JavaScript error occurred at line 2015 of the
    file ....Show PopupMenu.js type error
    dw.getNaturalSize(getFullPath(selobj.scr)) has no properties. How
    can I fix this I have tried everything I know Thanks Stuck2

    These pop-up menus as implemented in DW are quite bad, and
    while your error
    is most likely unrelated to your use of the menus, I felt I
    had to warn you
    that their use leads to a wasteland of failed efforts. There
    are much
    better ways.
    You can try this simple fix -
    Quit DW.
    Find this folder -
    C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application
    Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver
    8\Configuration\WinFileCache-*.dat
    (these folders are normally hidden - you may have to use
    Explorer > Tools >
    Folder Options to unhide them)
    or on Mac -
    Library/Application Support/Macromedia/Dreamweaver
    8/Configuration/MacFileCache-*.dat
    and delete it.
    Restart DW. Works better?

    Hi I'm new to Dreamweaver,

    Sorry, but your CSS is has been mangled beyound recognition.
    The solution is to start with an untouched style sheet. Then add or modify the CSS testing in your browsers as you make the changes.
    Have a look at the following where I have positioned the menu. All that is now required is the styling for font and the hover event.

  • Problem with Finder and Menu Fonts (uppercase A)

    Hello --
    I'm having a problem with fonts. All the characters that appear under icons in the Finder or in the menu for any application appear as uppercase As with boxes around them. There appears to be one uppercase A for each character that should be there. If I click-pause-click to edit the filename in the Finder, the text appears normal during the duration of the change, and then reverts to uppercase A with a box around it again. All other operation of the computer is normal.
    I was watching and downloading video files in iTunes when the problem appeared. When I pressed ESC to exit full-screen mode, the Finder said that my start-up disk was almost full, and I saw the font problem. Upon investigating, I discovered that my start-up disk was completely full (and the download had failed), so the first thing I did was move some video files to an external drive, which freed about 5 GB.
    Since freeing the space, I've tried the following to fix it, in this order:
    1. booted from Tiger CD to run Repair Disk from Disk Utility
    2. rebooted from the boot hard drive to run Repair Disk Permissions from Disk Utility
    3. run through Disk Warrior
    4. created a test admin user and logged in as that user
    5. removed font cache files using terminal
    6. booted in safe mode, logged in as myself, and then rebooted normally
    None of these actions has had any effect. The computer is still operating normally, except for the characters that don't display correctly.
    I'm running 10.4.6 on a Titanium Powerbook 500 MHz with 512MB RAM. A few months ago, I replaced the internal hard drive with an 80GB Seagate.

    Hi again, zoobieboots —
    I appreciate your initiating a new thread. Your post here helps to make the situation much clearer than in bmewolf's thread — particularly in terms of what you've already tried. Thanks again.
    A few initial thoughts —
        (a) As I was trying to suggest previously, you're apparently operating (after moving some files to an external drive) with ~6-10% (?) free disk space. Particularly given that you were working with large video files when this appeared, File fragmentation would be expected. While I haven't heard of this particular symptom resulting from fragmentation, that would be a concern to me — particularly since this immediately preceded the problematic behavior.
    I've read some good reports about iDefrag, but haven't used it myself. A demo version is apparently available for HDs < 100GB. But you'd presumably need to free significantly more space first (you haven't actually said whether 5GB or ?? is the total available now). Having never experienced severe fragmentation, I don't fully understand its consequences — but another participant may be able to explain this.
        <b>(b) You don't mention trying to troubleshoot potentially corrupt or incompatible fonts (or font caches), also as outlined in the other thread. As I suggested there, The X Lab's "undoing Font Book" FAQ is a useful resource in this.
        (c) Although I agree it may be an unsatisfying "solution," an Archive & Install did work for bmewolf in the case that you've indicated matches yours closely.
    I hope one of these suggestions is helpful. Please post back to discuss your progress.
    Regards,
    Dean

    hi, i have this problem, as shown in the sample code at the end of this post.. basically, i have a table, and i added a JPopupMenu onto the table.. the popup menu works well when running the table class, though, when i call the table class in a JInternalFrame environment, the popup menu won't work.. anyone know why?

  • How to create a splitted button with a popup menu?

    Hi,
    i am trying to build a button which can be clicked and an action is called (a normal button) and an addion to that basic function: there is on the right side of the button a seperated area with an arrow. If this arrow is clicked a popup menu becomes visible and you can choose a special action. This type of buttons (i don't know the name) can be seen by example in Eclipse or the Windows Media Player 11 or in Windows Vista).
    Here is an example image about what i mean: http://s2.imgimg.de/uploads/button56b4941cpng.png
    Can you tell me how to create a button with this possabilities?
    Please help me,
    greetings from germany,
    picard90

    hii,
    if you are want completed to define the Popup, then you have to define accesible areas,
    1/ create Popup (example from void)
    public void createPopupMenu() {
    JPopupMenu popup = new JPopupMenu();
    popup.addSeparator();
    ShowsManFxMenuItem = new JMenuItem("Show Details");
    ShowsManFxMenuItem.addActionListener((new ActionListener() {
    public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e) {
    //..some actions
    validate();
    repaint();
    popup.add(ShowsManFxMenuItem);
    MouseListener popupListener = new PopupListener(popup);
    //here is your listener directly to prepared object "yourButton"
    yourButton.addMouseListener(popupListener);
    2/ create POpupListener (example is class)
    class PopupListener extends MouseAdapter {
    JPopupMenu popup;
    PopupListener(JPopupMenu popupMenu) {
    popup = popupMenu;
    @Override
    public void mousePressed(MouseEvent e) {
    maybeShowPopup(e);
    @Override
    public void mouseReleased(MouseEvent e) {
    maybeShowPopup(e);
    //only in this block you can restrict anything with popup items (test anything and then to display all, only one, parts of them)
    private void maybeShowPopup(MouseEvent e) {
    if (e.isPopupTrigger()) {
    popup.show(e.getComponent(), e.getX(), e.getY());
    //these parts you can ingnore, but can covered extended events from popup
    public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e) {
    JMenuItem source = (JMenuItem) (e.getSource());
    public void itemStateChanged(ItemEvent e) {
    JMenuItem source = (JMenuItem) (e.getSource());
    protected String getClassName(Object o) {// Returns just the class name -- no package info.
    String classString = o.getClass().getName();
    int dotIndex = classString.lastIndexOf(".");
    return classString.substring(dotIndex + 1);

  • Problem with different execution paths in hierarchical query

    Hello,
    I have problems with the following query:
    SELECT DISTINCT P.ID FROM PRODUCTELEMENTIMPL P WHERE ( ( LABEL = 'SomeLabel' AND PRODUCTELEMENTTYPE = 'SomeText' AND ( STATE = 'created' OR STATE = 'stored' OR STATE = 'archived' OR STATE = 'archivedRestored' ) ) ) START WITH P.ID = 42 CONNECT BY PRIOR P.ID = P.PARENT
    We have two databases (an Oracle 10g XE and Oracle10g Enterprise). In the XE Database the query is executed very fast, but in the main installation it takes minutes. If I "explain" the query I get two different execution paths:

    Any ideas how to avoid this full table scan?
    bye
    Roland Spatzenegger

    Hello,
    thank you for your replies. The indices and table schemas are the "same", but only the content for the tables was mirrored.
    We made some tests with dropping and/or analyzing the tables, but it didn't change anything.
    The main problem is that the query takes 33s in the productive environment for searching in a couple of rows. At the moment it's faster to make
    SELECT DISTINCT P.ID, P.STATE FROM PRODUCTELEMENTIMPL P WHERE ( ( LABEL = 'SomeLabel' AND PRODUCTELEMENTTYPE = 'SomeText' ) ) START WITH P.ID = 42 CONNECT BY PRIOR P.ID = P.PARENT
    and to test in the application if the state-values match ;-)
    If I add the hint /*+ no_filtering */ in the test environment, I get the same "slow" execution path as in the production environment. So the question is, what prevents the filtering in "connect by"?
    (I think in the fast version it filters only the results of the hierarchical query, in the slow version it first filters the whole table and joins/merge it with the hierachical result).
    bye
    Roland Spatzenegger

  • Problems with the help menu.

    Hi. I'm a new iMac user and have had problems using the help menu on my computer. Every time I click on help and search a topic I get a blank untitled window. Nothing ever opens up in the window and then the spinning beach ball comes up. It is only in the blank window and I am still able to use the computer normally. I am unable to close or force quit the program and have to restart to get rid of it. I have called tech support and spent over an hour on the phone with no help and ended up reinstalling the operating system. Still having the same problem. Anyone have some advice or have had a similar problem?

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
    Try reindexing the hard drive via Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Spotlight.
    Drag the hard drive into the Privacy section, and the select it in that section, and select the minus sign in the bottom left corner below the field holding the drive.
    Click then on Spotlight every half hour to wait until the Indexing status no longer shows up.
    If Help still doesn't come up entirely, try clicking on the clear jewel in the upper right corner of the Help menu. It may reveal the search field. If it doesn't, quit from the Help Viewer application menu, and then go to com.apple.helpviewer.plist and delete it. Help should then load normally.
    If it still doesn't, try repairing permissions with Applications -> Utilities -> Disk Utility.
    In the end, if that still doesn't work, let us know, and we might suggest something else.

  • Problems with Pre 3 & future of WebOS

    Hi,
    I'm using the device for 5 days now. Here are the problems I've had so far:
    1) When the call is done, the screen stays black. When pushing the screen, you here the sound of pushing the telephone-pad (Had it once)
    2) When a call is coming in, the phone rings twice and then the call is cancelled by the device itself  (Had it 3 times)
    3) Sudden restart of the phone for no reason (Had it twice)
    4) Camera application has problems with deleting taken pictures.
    5) There is a nice frontcamera on the device, but how the hell do I use it?!?
    6) Opening an attachment in the mail program doesn't work well. I get the message that too many cards are open. This is very strange when only the mail-card is open... After 2 minutes the device restarted itself.
    7) voicedailing sometimes works. Most of the time it crashes.
    8) Is there a virtual keyboard? Would be nice to have it when you are lazy to slide open the keyboard.
    9) Lack of apps (but I'm not the first one who telling that)
    10) Where the hell is the bugreporting website? I have to report all this on a forum.
    The strangest thing is the fact that I still love to use the Pre 3 despite all the problems. It's the same feeling I've had with BeOs. By using the device, I understand why HP decided to cut the rope.
    One last thing: History repeats itself. Palm bought Be Inc. and did nothing with BeOS. Now HP bought Palm and did nothing with WebOS (And believe me, by using the Pre 3 you know HP did nothing with WebOS). So the conclusion is easy. WebOS is dead. It's a hard statement, but it is a real one. Why developing a mobile operating system if there is no hardware for it.
    Greetings
    Jixt
    Post relates to: HP Pre 3 (Unlocked EU)

    1) When the call is done, the screen stays black. When pushing the screen, you here the sound of pushing the telephone-pad (Had it once) THERE IS AN AMBIENT LIGHT PROXIMITY SENSOR THAT SHUTS THE SCREEN LIGHT DURING A CALL AND YOU MUST EXPOSE THAT TO LIGHT TO RESUME THE SCREEN 2) When a call is coming in, the phone rings twice and then the call is cancelled by the device itself (Had it 3 times) YOU NEED TO SEE ABOUT YOUR CONNECTIVITY FOR THAT 3) Sudden restart of the phone for no reason (Had it twice) SOUNDS LIKE YOUR PHONE MAY HAVE SOME CORRUPTION ... USE WebOS Repair Utility version 2.1 here http://forums.webosnation.com/attachments/canuck-coding/47585d1275864687-webos-repair-utility-v2-1-w... 4) Camera application has problems with deleting taken pictures. WHEN YOU LINK TO THE COMPUTER YOU MUST EJECT THE USB DRIVE ...IF NOT, THAT BECOMES A PROBLEM ...SOLUTION IS TO RESTART THE PHONE TWICE (TWO TIMES) ...NOT LUNA RESTART BUT ENTIRE SHUTDOWN AND REBOOT TWICE ...USE POWER BUTTON TO DO THAT 5) There is a nice frontcamera on the device, but how the hell do I use it?!? THERE IS AN INEXPENSIVE PAID APP IN THE CATALOG FOR THAT ...ALSO IT WORKS WITH SKYPE 6) Opening an attachment in the mail program doesn't work well. I get the message that too many cards are open. This is very strange when only the mail-card is open... After 2 minutes the device restarted itself. WHEN IT DOES THAT, SOME SAY TO REBOOT. 7) voicedailing sometimes works. Most of the time it crashes. DON'T KNOW... 8) Is there a virtual keyboard? Would be nice to have it when you are lazy to slide open the keyboard. THERE ARE NUMEROUS VIRTUAL KEYBOARDS FOR THE PHONE WHICH WORK IN VARIOUS LANGUAGES ...LOOK FOR THEM, THEY ARE FREE 9) Lack of apps (but I'm not the first one who telling that) THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF APPS (OVER 7500) ...NOT EVEN A SMALL PERCENTAGE ARE ON THE OFFICIAL APP CATALOG OR ON THE PREWARE WEBSITE ...GOOGLE AROUND 10) Where the hell is the bugreporting website? I have to report all this on a forum. THEY KNOW OF THE BUGS AND HAVE ABANDONED THE OPERATING SYSTEM TO OPEN SOURCE ...THEY DON'T CARE, BUT LOOK FOR "WEBOS NATION" WEBSITE WHERE LOTS OF PEOPLE CARE AND ARE HELPFUL

  • Creation of a Popup Menu for a Tree Node

    Hi Ppl,
      I need to create a Pop-up Menu for a tree node in WebDynpro Application, please give me a "How to .." sort of material or a link which would have same sort of information...
    Also, My requirement is to call the pop-up on the right click of mouse on the tree node, please let me know on which event handler I can call it ? Do I require a custom event handler for it ?
    Thanks in advance
    Anish

    Hi Anish,
    You simply add a Tree UI element, and then right-click the tree UI element and insert a TreeNode element.
    To the TreeNode element you can add a menu, and then to this menu you can add menu items. When the user right click the tree node, the menu item is displayed. If the user clicks the menu item, the action for the menuitem is run.
    Hope that helps.

  • Problem when selecting child node in Hierarchical Tree

    I have a hierarchical tree on a form populated thru a table query(form1). When I click on a child node, it opens form2 which contains a tab canvas. After closing forms, I return to the form1(containing Tree). At this point If I want to click on the same child node, I should be able to open form2 again. This doesn't happen.
    I have the following code in my When-Tree-node_selected trigger:
    Declare
    htree item;
    vnode_label varchar2(50);
    node_clicked FTREE.NODE;
    vnode_value number;
    vnode_depth number;
    v_type number;
    v_value varchar2(100);
    v_form_name varchar2(100);
    v_alert_return number;
    begin
    -- Find the tree itself.
    htree := FIND_ITEM('tree_block.tree');
    node_clicked := :SYSTEM.TRIGGER_NODE;
    vnode_value := FTREE.NODE_label;
    -- Find the value of the node clicked on.
    vnode_label := FTREE.GET_TREE_NODE_PROPERTY (htree,:SYSTEM.TRIGGER_NODE,FTREE.NODE_label);
    vnode_depth := to_number(ftree.get_tree_node_property(htree,:SYSTEM.TRIGGER_NODE,ftree.Node_depth));
    --Open form for node selected on tree and/or specific tab page
    if vnode_depth <> 1 then
    if :system.trigger_node_selected = 'TRUE' then CASE vnode_label
    WHEN 'Personal' then
    v_form_name :='HR_PERSONAL_INFO_UPDATE';
    WHEN 'Citizenship' then
    v_form_name :='HR_PERSONAL_INFO_UPDATE';
    WHEN 'Emergency Contact' then
    v_form_name :='HR_PERSONAL_INFO_UPDATE';
    if id_null(Find_form(v_form_name)) then
    open_form(:global.application_path || v_form_name,ACTIVATE,NO_SESSION,SHARE_LIBRARY_DATA);
    else
    go_form(v_form_name);
    end if;
    END IF;
    elsif vnode_depth = 1 then
    if :system.trigger_node_SELECTED = 'TRUE' then CASE vnode_label
    WHEN 'EMPLOYEE INFO' then
    v_form_name :='HR_PERSONAL_INFO_UPDATE';
    vnode_label := 'Personal';
    WHEN 'REPORTS' then
    v_form_name :='HR_REPORTS';
    vnode_label := '';
    if id_null(Find_form(v_form_name)) then
    v_form_name := :global.application_path || v_form_name;
    open_form(v_form_name,ACTIVATE,NO_SESSION,SHARE_LIBRARY_DATA);--,p_list);
    else
    go_form(v_form_name);
    end if;
    end if;
    end;
    Can anyone please help me? I don't want the user to double click. They should only click once.
    Thanks,
    Mercedes

    Right clicking does not change the current selection. The tree has no way to report what node was right clicked. Only work around is to left click the node you wish then right click it.

    When I had the ESS inside the SAP 6.00 it was running correctly, but now that I uploaded the version to 6.04 (EHP4) where I had to include the EMPLOYEE_PERSDATA_ES_SERVICE_13 services along other services(PERSDATA).
    The only service I had to include where Im finding problems is EMPLOYEE_PERSDATA_ES_SERVICE_13.
    Its showed in the Error I put above, that it is trying to find u201CSubtypeu201D.
    In the SAP 6.00 version I  was setting the subtype option in the "specify use case and active subtypes" option but now I donu2019t find this option. Only a new option appears called "Determine Active Subtypes and Make Settings".
    I hope you could help me to solve this problem, thanks.

    I reviewed the Portal Content,
    I look the role folder ESS in case the "Personal Information" Personal Data

    I look the EHP4 folder in case "Personal Information" > Personal Data

    Both are different because the EHP4 contains the number 14 which I presume is the version, but this version is not replicated in the Role folder
    In this part, I show the "User Management" option
    In case the ESS, once record.

  • Problem with Horizontal Spry Menu

    Hi,
    I have trawled through the forum to see if I can find an answer to my problem, but couldnt locate one, so this is my first post.
    I recently built this website for my wifes business and was using a simple menu bar without any dropdowns, just to get the site up and running (healingthreads.com.au). Am now looking to do some enhancements and was looking to use a Spry Horizontal Menu Bar. All was going well in that I was able to insert the menu bar and get it in the right position, however the dropdowns below the top level items (ie. Item 1.1, Item 1.2 etc) are getting hidden behind one of the other DIV's and despite trying changing z-index values, am still not able to get the dropdowns to display in front of the main DIV. Have run out of ideas and am hoping the wisdom of the forum will be able to assist. I have the same problem on the Index page as well as the other pages on the site. The website is fairly basic at the moment and is simply promoting her courses and products.
    Unfortunately am not able to post live code to a server for you to test on, so best that I can do is post the code for a page and for the CSS sheets.  I have left the standard Spry code in place in the source code to show that the problem exists without and fancy changes that I have made to the Spry code. I have also removed the z-index properties that I had been playing around with. So, what I am attaching is the basic code that has the problem.
    Hope someone can help.

    Gramps,
    Thanks for the prompt reply, greatly appreciated here in Sydney.
    Re your response. When I preview the page in both Safari and Firefox, the dropdowns are not visible, just the top layer Items.
    Dont understrand what is going on.
    Am I doing something wrong when I am previewing the file?
    RThanks,
