Problem with redirecting from one screen to another screen.

Hi All,
I have a region as form with having two buttons as "submit" and update". Once data is inserted into tables i m acalling a model dialog box with two buttons as "Continue" and "key" buttons.
when i click on view i will be redirecting to the same page by clearing the session as path mentioned below

bUt when i click on View button i wil be redirecting to same page with updat ebutton as

Now i have aonther region as Search and under serch report i have provided link for one of the column, Now when we click on that link i need to redirect the page to update mode screen, so that users can update the records.
For this i have tried like this but that i snot wroking for me

Redirecting from one application to another

Hi All,
Anybody please tell me how to redirect from one application to another.
I have two application one is a1 and second is a2 inside orion.
a1 has a jsp file named a1index.jsp. and a2 has a jsp file named a2index.jsp.
in a1index.jsp file I am using response.sendRedirect("\a2\a2index.jsp") and redirecting to a2index.jsp. But it doesn't open a2index.jsp file as the syntex is not correct. .
Anybody please tell me what is the correct syntax to redirect from one application jsp to another jsp...

Problem moving mail from one computer to another...

Hello.
I'm trying to move a specific mailbox from one computer to another computer. I'm doing this to 2 pairs of machines and with the first pair I had no issues. But, then second pair I get errors.
On the first computer I just copied the .mbox folder (which contains the sub "Messages" folder & info.plist file) from the one computer to the other. Then, in mail.app I "import" the messages via the Import option (importing mail from Mac OS X). No problem and all messages are imported.
On the second pair of computers, I did the same thing, but when I try and Import the messages onto the second machine, it says it can't find any OS X mail messages to import.
I really need to get these messages from one machine to another. "Forwarding" or "Redirecting" all the messages from one machine to another isn't an option.
Can anyone suggest what might be wrong, or another way of migrating the single folder of messages (not the entire account) from one machine to another?

Hi Kristin,
I stay away from mbox files because it has never worked for me, but I may have a solution. This may not be THE award winning answer, but you could consider it when the other options don't work:
I assume you want to import a mailbox that is NOT part of an IMAP account, because otherwise you would not have this problem (right?) (otherwise just open that IMAP account on the computer you want the messages on).
But if you have an IMAP account, besides the POP account that contains the mailbox in question, you can use that account to fix your problem:
Go to the compu that has the desired mailbox, make a new folder in the IMAP account called 'backup' or whatever. Copy all messages from the desired mailbox to that new IMAP folder (depending on size this may take a while, because you are uploading via your internet connection). Now go to the other compu, make a new 'local folder' in mail.app. Open the IMAP account in mail.app and open the 'back up folder'. Now copy all messages to the new, local folder.
If you don't have an IMAP account, you can always open a free one with gmail.
I know, it's not very elegant, but this will work guaranteed.

Need to Copy a subform along with content from one page to another page

I am new to Adobe Live Cycle .
I am facing a particular problem in one scenario.
I have a growing list of item i.e the number of Items are uncertain. I have put all these item in a sub form.
Now I need a copy of this sub form from the First page to the 2nd Page.
Basically , I want to copy a Subform along with the content from one page to another.
Can anybody please help me.

In source project open Tempo List (the one that is a list editor). Select all tempo changes and "copy them (command+c)
close project
Open destination project, open Tempo List delete all information and paste (command+V). Remember that Logic should be stopped at the exact position where the first tempo event happens. This is ussually 1.1.1.1, but check it in the source before closing it.

How to move tables with data from one client to another

Hello friends
I have 2 clients 001 and 002.
I have created a table with lots of data on client 001.
I have to get the same table on 002 also with the same data.
Is there an easier way of transfering this data from one table to another?
I would appreciate any feedback on this.
I know that mappings etc., can be done using the export and import of tpz file. So I want to know if there is any similar thing to transfer a table with data.

We are working on a sandbox system for demo purpose.
Actually we have two different group of people using two different clients created on the same server.
Our group is using client 001 and another group is using client 002.
We don't want the changes that one group does to the table to affect the other.
Our group has created a z-table and have entered considerable amount of data.
However, the other group also need to create the same table with the same data.
So to avoid double work, we were trying to see if there is a way to copy the table with data created on 001 to 002.
Any suggestions / feedback will be greatly appreciated.

If you do not have the client field in your table, then the table is cross-client.
IF you have the client field filled with 001, then you need to create the same entries with client 002, I dont think that you can do this with a transport.
You have to write an ABAP that reads and writes the data.

Problem in Navigation from one tab to another

In my forms, I have three tabs. In one tab, i have a set of records displayed(like table) in which all columns are bound to a table. I want to sort the records in the tab based on one column. So i wrote the following code in WHEN-TAB-PAGE-CHANGED trigger in form level. It works fine when i click on the particular tab. But when i try to navigate from one tab to another tab which i want to sort, the records in the tab are not sorted. The buton i used to navigate from one tab to another is tab in key board.

Based on your sample code, the only data block that you are modifying the sort on is "BLOCK1". Rather than combine all of your logic into the When-Tab-Page-Changed (WTPC) trigger, I suggest you simply use the WTPC trigger to set the cursor to the block associated with the selected tab page and then set your block properties and query your block in the When-New-Block-Instance (WNBI) trigger for each block. For example:

Problem transferring website from one PC to another.

I’m trying to transfer a site from one PC to another, but it won’t open on the second PC. I’ve tried exporting the site definition and also transferring individual files, all to no avail.
It’s the same copy of Dreamweaver CS4 on both machines (version 10.0, build 4117) but it acts as though Dreamweaver doesn’t exist on the second PC, even when I have it open first.
Would the fact that the first PC is running Windows 7 while the second PC is running Windows XP have any bearing on it? Or am I doing something else wrong?

I export to a memory stick and then import it from that. It loads the folder into DW local files on the second PC, but there's nothing inside the folder. It's just empty.

I purchased one copy and installed on both machines. They're not networked. I had hoped to keep one PC offline and just transfer files to the other one and use it for connecting to the Internet.

In the first report, the filters are being passed using the presentation variable.
In the second report, the filter are also based on presentation variable.
In the first report, filters are being passed but when I navigate to second report I face the problem.
The presentation variable are not getting passed.

in your first report you use the presentation variables to filter data. But in your second report, you must include all fields where you want filter data and in the properties of each field you indicate that these fields are prompted.

Problem moving photos from one comp to another in LR 4

I am having a problem with moving my photos from a MacBook Pro to a PC laptop. All the files reside in one directory on an external drive. I copied the catalog from the Mac to the PC, connected the drive, started LR and pointed to the copied catalog. As expected, LR did not know where the files from the external drive were, so I highlighted the drive, right clicked the photo directory and told it to find missing files. I then pointed it to the proper directory on the drive. It only partially worked. Several of the subdirectories on the drive did not relink. If I take the drive off the PC and put it back on the Mac, the subdirectories are properly linked, where on the PC, some aren't.
I can reimport, but then I have to do edits all over again on those photos. Does anyone have any ideas?

Are you sure that in the Mac to PC conversion of the actual folders, that perhaps some of the names folder didn't change?
Can you compare the exact name of one of these folders on both computers?
What happens if you try to right-click on the problem folders in Lightroom and select Find Missing Folder and then point just that specific folder in Lightroom to the proper folder on your PC?

Moving Folder Redirect from one Domain to Another on Different Servers

We are in the process of putting in a new server; Win Server 2008 R2, and creating a new domain for a client. We need to move the folder redirect from the current server (server1.currentdomain) to the new server on the new domain (server2.newdomain). We
want to keep the UNC on the client PC's the same. The SAM file will be rewritten.
What is the best way to go about this?
What potential security/rights issues can we prepare for?

Hi,
As you said the NTFS permission could be an issue if we move Folder Redirection to another domain.
Generally users should be the owner of their own redirected folders. However as folders are moved to a different domain, all permissions for user accounts in old domain will not be recognized.
In this situation you can try to set folder redirection policy in new domain first so that folders will be created - remember uncheck the settings of "Grant the user exclusive rights" so that domain admins still have permissions on these folders.
Then you can copy files from old server "into" these created folders.

Problems importing mail from one user to another on same computer

Hi,
I work from home so I created a new account on my computer so I could have a personal user and a business user. That way maybe I won't always end up working when I'm trying to relax. So I want to bring all my old work emails over the the new work account. But when I copy the mail files to the new user account and then try to import, the folders all have red circles with minus signs. I gather that this has something to do with permissions, but when I change the owner to the new user, they still have the red circles. I also tried just moving the whole mail folder over to the new user, but it's "read only".
Both users are administrators. I'm running OS 10.4.4.

What you tried to transfer the Mail folder from one user to the other should have worked, except I believe you didn't properly change ownership of the files and folders involved.

This probably happened because you didn't change ownership of the com.apple.mail.plist file. If Mail doesn't have access permission to write to that file, it just deletes the file and creates a new one (Mail can delete the file because doing that requires write permissions for the directory the file is in, which it has). As a result of re-creating the preferences file, Mail asks you to set up your accounts from scratch all over again.

It looks like you tried changing ownership of the enclosing Mail folder only. Ownership of all the items within it must be changed as well. Unfortunately, there is no way to do this properly in the Finder, as the Apply to enclosed items button in the Get Info window also overwrites access permissions, not just the changes you make to ownership. Usually, this is wrong, as a different set of permissions may be appropriate for each item. In the particular case of the Mail folder, however, you can come close to doing the right thing as follows:
1. In the Finder, go to HOME/Library/. Locate the Mail folder, select it and choose File > Get Info (⌘I). Under Ownership & Permissions, expand Details by clicking on it.
2. Change the settings as follows (you may need to click on the lock icon to authenticate first). Owner: username, with "Read & "Write" access permissions; Group: username, with "Read only" access permissions; Others: "No Access".
3. Click on the Apply to enclosed items button at the bottom of the Get Info window.
4. Change Group access back to "No Access", which probably was (or should be) the initial setting when you opened the Info window.
5. Close the Get Info window.
The right way to (recursively) change ownership of the Mail folder without altering access permissions would be issuing the following command in Terminal:
sudo chown -R username:username ~/Library/Mail
And while you're at it, you may as well use Terminal to change ownership of the preferences file:
sudo chown username:username ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist

Moving a hard drives with songs from one computer to another

I'm going to have my collection of music on one external hard drive, but I'm streaming from one computer using ATV to my home stereo system, but managing the music on the external drive (adding mostly) from another machine. (The reason is that the streaming machine is much older and slower - works for streaming but my USB ports are crappy and so I want to be able to add music directly to the hard drive from my newer, faster notebook).
Given this scenario, if I add music to the external drive from the newer notebook, when I go to connect it to the streaming machine, what do I have to do each time to update Itunes on that computer?

you could try copying and pasting the songs on to a usb.
plug the usb into the desk top and paste them onto itunes.
idk if it will work but its worth a try. i managed to get songs from my psp to my ipod this way

Problem with SMTP from one computer but not another

I have an iMac connected directly to my network via Ethernet and a MacBook Pro which connects via wireless. I have a program installed on my iMac that sends me alerts via e-mail, and it works just fine. When I try and use Mail, however, on my MBP with the exact same settings and credentials, it fails. To make this even more perplexing, Mail works fine from my office on a different network.
To work around this, I use Comcast's SMTP server on my laptop, but why would my regular e-mail provider's SMTP work on one machine and not another on the same network? The only difference is one is connected via Ethernet and the other by wireless.
I use a Time Capsule as my router and wireless access point. Has anyone got an idea about what's causing this?

Please report the relationship, if any, of the "regular e-mail provider's SMTP" and your ISP? If Comcast is your ISP, they regularly block use of Port 25, but if you have selected Use Default Port in Mail Preferences/Accounts/Account Information for the Outgoing Server, then it may be making the wrong choice to work with Comcast. Regardless of the ISP, for this regular account click on the arrows beside the name of the SMTP, choose Edit Server List, then click on the Advanced Tab that will then be seen and choose Use Custom Port, then enter the proper port directly -- that port is probably Port 587, but that could depend on the advisory of the email provider for using their SMTP.
