Problem with setTransient(true)  JSF tree method

Hi all,
I have created dynamic tree .
I am parsing the Parent and Child nodes and constructing the tree.
I am using my own method treeSlectionHandler() for event handling for which i am using MethodBinding class and getCookieSelectedNode() method.
Here is the problem ,whenever I delete or add any node from/into database change did not reflected in the tree .
So I am using setTransient(true) which is able to reflect the database changes.
I have one JSP(tree page) with this tree and one button on this page .I am calling tree.setTransient(tree) inside button action.
Now I will delete one node from database.
So I will click the button then which will go to next page.
Again I will navigate to Tree page through menu.
If I click any node for the first time it will simply refresh the tree state as in the database (if 10 nodes in database it wil show 10)
But click action will not work (no check image set)
But for the very next click the click action works and check image is set.
So plz suggest me is there any other method to refresh the tree state ?
I[b] want both tree refresh and click action happen simultaneously.
I will be thankful if any one suggests me the solution .

Hello EJP !
You downloaded the sample to see? I use a button made in the project and not the browser button.
Note: Sorry if this with some english mistakes but I do not speak very well.

    A similar problem was reported before on this Forum - see
    Re: not able create connection to timesten
    checking the Release Notes I can see 11.2.1.8.0 has been tested against Glassfish 3 but I
    can't see any mention about Glassfish 2 in the v7 or v11 Release Notes (albeit only on a quick
    search).
    In my full install on XP, ttJdbcCS1121.dll is in C:\TimesTen\tt1121_32\bin

  • Problems with loading native library/missing methods:no ttJdbcCS in java.li

    Iam facing one problem while connecting the timesten client to the server The SQL Exception which Iam getting is pasted below:-
    Problems with loading native library/missing methods: no ttJdbcCS in java.library.path
    I am working with MAC OS X 10.7.2 and my timesten client version is 11.2.1.0
    I have also changed the Java Preferences from 64-bit to 32-bit but still whenever i tried to connect with the SQL Developer it gives me the above error.

    I just tried this out. My environment is OS X 10.7.4, Timesten (32-bit) client 11.2.1.9.0, SQL Developer 3.1.07, Oracle Java 1.7.0_04.
    The key things you need to be sure to do (in a terminal window) are:
    1. Be sure to . in the TimesTen environment script <tt_install_dir>/bin/ttenv.sh to set the full TT environment.
    2. Change directory to SQLDeveloper.app/Contents/Resources/sqldeveloper
    3. Run 'sh sqldeveloper.sh -J-d32'
    and all should be fine.
    Note that if you are using Java7 as I am then there is a step 1a. Change the CLASSPATH environment variable to specify ttjdbc6.jar not ttjdbc5.jar. For some reason running the app directly from Finder does not work even if you add -J-d32 into the sqldeveloper launch script. I'm still looking into that.

    Hi,
    I have installed TimesTen 11.2.2 64-bit version on 64-bit windows 7.
    I have TimesTen 7 64-bit as well installed on my machice
    When trying to connect to TimesTen (Direct connection) using jdbc from eclipse, I get the following error "Problems with loading native library/missing methods: C:\TimesTen\tt1122_64\bin\ttJdbc1122.dll: Can't load AMD 64-bit .dll on a IA 32-bit platform".
    The JDK version is 1.6.25 - 64 bit version.
    Please help me resolving this error.
    Thanks in Advance,

    Are you using SQL Developer?
    There is or used to be a restriction of only being able to using 32 bit. A suggestion might be to try the 32 bit client.

  • Problem with pictures for hierarchy trees

    Hello
    I get a problem with tiles involving trees :
    For example in the "pascategoryselect" tile, method "InitializeTree" :
            .LabelEdit = 1
            .Images.Add 1, "", LoadPicture(ResourcePath + "FolderClosed.gif")
            .Images.Add 2, "", LoadPicture(ResourcePath + "FolderOpen.gif")
            .Images.Add 3, "", LoadPicture(ResourcePath + "Leaf.gif")
            .Images.Add 4, "", LoadPicture(ResourcePath + "Iba_comp_prod.gif")
            .Nodes.Clear
    The '.Image.Add ..." lines crash, the Err.Description statement is "Automation Error, Catastrophic failure" (Err.Number = -2147418113)
    I have looked for the RessourcePath and file requested, all exist.
    For the moment here is my "workaround"
            .LabelEdit = 1
    on error resume next
            .Images.Add 1, "", LoadPicture(ResourcePath + "FolderClosed.gif")
            .Images.Add 2, "", LoadPicture(ResourcePath + "FolderOpen.gif")
            .Images.Add 3, "", LoadPicture(ResourcePath + "Leaf.gif")
            .Images.Add 4, "", LoadPicture(ResourcePath + "Iba_comp_prod.gif")
    on error goto 0
            .Nodes.Clear
    Have anyone ever had this problem ? How can I solve it ?
    Some other trees (don't remember which though) load without problem and the FolderClosedand FolderOpenimages are displayed....
    Thanks and Regards,
    François

    Thanks Markus, you're right I forgot to mention it : I am using version 4 with SP8.
    I will have to try again to confirm this but I think it also happens in the generated application (basically, the erro is caught by the calling method, and the tile appear empty)

  • Problem with adding Sun JSF RI v1.2 as a new library in JDeveloper 10.1.3.1

    Hi,
    I have a problem with adding a latest JSF 1.2 RI from Sun (https://javaserverfaces.dev.java.net/files/documents/1866/44998/jsf-1_2_03.zip) to JDeveloper as a new library.
    I created a new User library and added into it jsf-impl.jar and jsf-api.jar from JSF 1.2 RI.
    Then I try to create two new JSP Tag libraries based from .tld files.
    When a .tld file is placed in "TLD File:" field there is no information below about Library Version and Required JSP Version. If I check "Execute Tags in JSP Visual Editor" and click "Customize" button - list of tags in "Customize Tag Library" window is empty.
    I have errors when I try to use JSF Tags from this new library in JSP page like :
    "Can't create tag instance: f:view (class: null). Make sure, that the tag class or a library contained this class is available in this application"
    (free translation to English)
    Is this possible to add JSF RI v1.2 as another library in Jdeveloper 10.1.3.1 ?
    thanks for help
    koli

    Hi,
    This solution is not exactly for Jdeveloper 10.1.3.x I think.
    - "Create a JSF system library." section, point 2. - there is not possible to add library in folder other than User I see, so I added it in User folder.
    - "Register the JSF JSP tag libraries." section, point 5. - in JD 10.1.3 there is no dialog box, I checked checkbox "Show Tag Library in Palette". A new library was added to User folder but there is no new libraries in component Palette.
    Even as I use "Edit tag libraries .." from Component Palette context menu and add manually new tag libraries to selected, there is no libraries in Component Palette after it.
    I feel so problem is with different .tld files format, not with adding libraries method.

  • Global problem with immediate="true"

    JSF specifies that immediate="true" in UICommands should skip the Validation and Update Model phases.
    The RI uses the Update Model phase to reset the local values of the input components after updating the model. That means that in the case of immediate="true", the local values are not reset, and thus saved by the state manager.
    The problem is that the next display of the page shows the previously entered values, instead of getting the values from the model, which is somewhat strange for a 'cancel' button.
    I think this is mainly a problem with the spec which clearly indicates that the clearing of the local values should be done in the update model phase.
    Is it possible to have a workaround for this ?

    the previous posts have been made long ago, but I'll give it a try:
    I think this behavior is still buggy or at least not logical.
    Example:
    I've got a dataTable which shows a list of entries, each row with an "edit" commandButton and a "new" commandButton below the list.
    If the user clicks an "edit" button, he is redirected to the "details" page where he can edit and save the values of this entry. This works as expected. But: On the "details" page, there's also a "cancel" button, which should navigate to the list again, without doing any validation or updating.
    If I set this "cancel" button to "immediate", navigation works, but then I'll always see the values of the canceled entry, regardless of which "edit" button I click in the list.
    If the "cancel" button is not immediate, validation fails when the user clicks "new" and then "cancel", because he gets an empty form, but some or all fields are required.
    There are two workarounds:
    1) Creating two different views, one for creating a new entry and one for editing.
    2) The "cancel" button is a simple html-button, with the "onlick='location.href=xxxyyy'" attribute.
    IMHO both workarounds are ugly. So, why is the view ignoring that there is a complete different entry object in the backing bean of the "details" input fields???
    BTW: I'm using JSF SUN RI 1.1.01 (same with 1.2 current snapshot).
    With MyFaces, everythings works but it has some other bugs, so I want to stick to the Sun RI.
    Thanks,
    Walter

  • Problem with immediate=true, maybe a Bug

    I'm using a dataTable for selecting an user. The selected userBean will be put to the session context with id "selectedUser". The next page allows to edit users values. This edit page contains a cancel button with immedtiate=true param to abort editing and go back to the list. The edit page contains some input fields like:
    <h:inputText id="firstName" value="#{selectedUser.firstName}" />
    <h:inputText id="lastName" value="#{selectedUser.lastName}" />
    These fields are showing correct values for the selected user. But after selecting another user from the list the edit page is showing the values of the previous selected user! By selecting the second user again and again after a while the edit page shows the correct values.
    Well, I've added a JSP expression to the edit page to show me if the selected user is the right one "Edit User (${selectedUser})". The value of this expression always shows the correct selected user.
    If I modify the command button from:
    <h:commandButton action="users" value="Cancel" immediate="true" />
    to:
    <h:commandButton type="reset" onclick="window.location.href='/faces/users'" value="Cancel" />
    the problem does not appear!!!
    For me it looks like a bug. Any ideas?
    Thx,
    Wolfgang

  • Problem with "System.in.read()" read() method!

    import java.io.*;
    import java.lang.*;
    class Count {
    public static void main(String args[]) throws IOException
    int count = 0;
    while (System.in.read()!=-1)
    count++;
    System.out.println("Input has " + count + " chars.");
    in this code the loop stucks and it increments the count variable infinitely of course as long as i hit enter. I am trying to understand the problem with read() method of system class's in object. in its definition it says; when the inputstream ends it returns -1, but in this code it does not return -1 ever. another question of mine is that what args[] array do? what does it store??

    Java doesn't bother much with the dos console and it a bit limited and limiting - no pretty colours /graphics options - just text - that's because java graduates to GUI's where there is laods of power and object /component support to do everything and everything you could imagine and more. System.in.read() ??? - thats a fine start!
    what args[] array do? what does it store??
    Good question !
    It provides a means of passing a parameter argument from the command line to the program - consider this;-public class HelloWithArgs {
       public static void main(String[] args) {
          System.out.println("Hello I am " + args[0]);
    }What does it do and how does it work? Or this;-public class HelloWithArgs2 {
       public static void main(String[] args) {
          try{
             String myName = args[0];
          catch(ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException aob){
              System.out.print("No names: program will end");
              System.exit(0);
          System.out.println("Hello I am " + myName);
    }Study them and have fun. Though to answer the question -
    " public static void main(String[] args) {" // or
    " public static void main(String[] parameters) {"
    is the 'entry point' of all java programs, in order to do something it has to have a main() method and if youre going to pass on parameters, then why not a String array? If you think about it anything else would be fairly useless.

    Hi,
    Modify your method to call super.doDML() after initialization of mandatory attributes as below:
    protected void doDML(int operation, TransactionEvent e) {
         oracle.jbo.domain.Date dt = new Date();
         if(operation ==DML_INSERT){
              //PRE-INSERT code begins
           EntityDefImpl cmSubscribers=CmSubscribersImpl.getDefinitionObject();
           CmSubscribersImpl newSubscribers=(CmSubscribersImpl)cmSubscribers.createInstance2(getDBTransaction(),null);
           Number n=new Number(1599);
           newSubscribers.setCreatedBy(n);
           newSubscribers.setCreationDate(dt);
           newSubscribers.setLastUpdateDate(dt);
           newSubscribers.setLastUpdatedBy(n);
           //PRE-INSERT code ends
           super.doDML(operation, e);
           //POST-INSERT code if any
         }else
            super.doDML(operation, e);
    }Sireesha

  • Problem with return true and if statement

    I'm making a
    ship shooter
    game and I have a problem with the collision detection for the
    corners of the stage. When you hold down two of the arrows to move
    the ship into the corners of the screen, the ship will go past it.
    The function bellow is what I'm using to detect this collision. The
    reason I'm using a function is because it's used for the ship and
    for all the balls from the cannons (as shown in the last two lines
    of the attached code). This is the reason I need the return true,
    so the if statement can be evaluated to true and then unload the
    movieclip of the cannon ball. When I remove the return true, the
    collision works fine, but obviously my cannon balls all get stuck
    on the edges.
    Any ideas?

    Well the function is called every frame, for the ship and for
    every cannon ball that's on the screen. So it could be called about
    4 times or so per frame. The problem is that ship goes through the
    corners of the stage (btw, the green background is the stage area)
    when you go in a diagonal direction.
    Just curious...what's the unnecessary code you're talking
    about?

  • Problem with printing true colors

    Had PSE7 and colors printed true and beautiful. Upgraded to PSE10 and all of a sudden colors printed muddy and dull with purplish overcast. Took printer in for service but problem persisted. Upgraded to PSE11 and once again colors were printing true and beautiful for over a year. Printed a card about 5 days ago using PSE11 - beautiful. Printed a card yesterday using PSE11 and colors muddy and dull with purplish overtones. Installed  PSE13 and colors printing dull, muddy with purplish overcast..  I feel it is a problem somewhere in settings of PSE, but can't figure out where.  I don't think it is a problem with printer. Both printer and PSE set to Adobe RGB. Color control set to optimize for printer. Using PC with Windows 7, 64 bit. Printer is Epson stylus photo 1400.  Thanks for any help, Merrie

  • Problems with navigation using JSF 1.0 RI

    I have a problem with faces in that navigation simply stops working. I have a page which have prev/next buttons on it, and a cancel button. Each button is of the form
    <h:form id="viewxxx">
    <h:commandButton value="XXX" styleClass="buttonInput" action="#{somebean.doSomeAction}"/>
    </h:form>
    The code behind the next/prev button action returns "success", the cancel returns an action string which returns the user to the previous screen.
    After clicking on prev/next a few times one of two possible things happen:-
    (1) the navigation stops working (all buttons do nothing)
    (2) or after pressing a button a few times the navigation starts to work.
    I tried to simplify things to find out if my backing code was causing the problem. I included a very simple button:-
    <h:form id="view_c_getridofme">
         <h:commandButton value="Test" styleClass="buttonInput" action="success"/>
    </h:form>
    and after clicking this a few time it also breaks the navigation. So I suspect something strange is going on inside the Faces implementation.
    I checked the faces-config.xml and this is correct:
    <!-- Stay on View for page next/prev -->
    <navigation-case>
    <from-outcome>success</from-outcome>
    <to-view-id>/viewcorr.jsp</to-view-id>
    <redirect />
    </navigation-case>
    I tried (albeit briefly) MyFaces 1.0.3 and the navigation does not break although it does present some other issues for me. My preference would be to use Sun's JavaFaces implementation if possible.
    Can anyone shed light on this - why this may be happening?

    I experienced the same problem while re-submitting to the same page about 15 times via a command button (a list page that would get updated with every new submit).
    After having turned JSF logging on I discovered that my stylesheet (!) was interpreted by JSF as a Faces view (because of the /faces/-mapping before it) and that this caused the list page to be (incorrectly) added up towards the maximum of 15 views in the session. After 15 reloads JSF would remove the list page from view, re-create it, and I experienced the same problems as you described in the top post - no navigation worked.
    My stylesheet used to be:
    <link rel="STYLESHEET" type="text/css" href="../../css/foo.css">
    ... which kept the /faces/ mapping from the page containing the css reference, and made it look like a faces view to JSF.
    When I switched to:
    <link rel="STYLESHEET" type="text/css" href="/css/foo.css">
    ... the problem disappeared.
    Hope that helps all of you that have this problem. It certainly took me quite a while to figure it out!

  • Problem with OBIEE Web Service getHTMLForReport() Method

    Hello, I´m trying to develop an example using the OBIEE Web Services and I have a problem with the method “getHTMLForReport(String pageID,String pageReportID,String sessionID)” (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12103_01/books/AnyWebServ/AnyWebServ_Methods8.html).
    The problem is the next one: In the pageReportID parameter should contain a character string ID returned by the addReportToPage() method, but the addReportToPageMethod is a void method. (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12103_01/books/AnyWebServ/AnyWebServ_Methods4.html#wp1008810)
    Which is the value of the pageReportID parameter?
    Thank you.

    Yes, there seems to be a bug in the oracle documentation. Basically, the second parameter of the addReportToPage() method is a free text. You can put "report101" as value of second parameter. Then you have to use the same string in the getHTMLForReport()method.
    For example ..
    addReportToPage(pageId, "report2", reportRef, "Jaggi Di Report", null, null, sessionID);
    getHtmlForReport(pageId, "report2", sessionID);
