Problem with soap receiver adapter

Hi All
I have Idoc sender and soap receiver in my scenario.
I am calling web service deployed on WAS.
The web service is getting called but the acknowledgement message in xi contains following system error acknowledgement because of which xi changes the status of message to WAIT and starts retrying.

- SOAP --webservice
As you can see, I am sending data from R/3 system to XI via ABAP proxy. XI then sends data or calls a webservice via SOAP adapter.
When I test this scenario I am getting a error in the sxmb_moni that is,
"com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.DeliveryException: TEXT/HTML; HTTP 504 Gateway Time-out"
I have checked the webservice url and it is working fine.
Can somebody tell me why am I getting this error message? How do I resolve this?
Thanks
Gopal

Hi,
Can you please check the settings in Soap Adapter with Module Adapter setting with ModuleTranformBean parameters? There may be some problem. use HTTP Adapter and the message type 'HttpPostIn' to send as HTTP Post.
Also
There is the note 450226 gives an overview over error codes
Probably below solution may help you.........
As an administrator on your portal go to:
System Configuration > Service Configuration >applications
Under: com.sap.portal.ivs.httpservice > Services > Proxy
If any proxy settings are configured you may end up with the problem, so you need to set the "nonProxyHosts" to include the trex host.

• Problem with SOAP receiver

Hello,
Our PI system is 7.4 . We have a lot of interface with related to proxy to soap. When they are used very intensively, errors occur in soap receiver .
Types are error:
503 server not avalibale,
401 unauthorized ,
invalid content type for SOAP:TEXT/HTML such as...
When system is restarted, mostly it is worked but after while again errors occur and a lot of message is waiting in queue.
what can we do for it?
Thanks in advance,
Nurhan

Hi Claudia,
It is dual stack installation. While calling soap receiver adapter, error occur. In sxmb_moni display error as follows:
After restart, we have new error:
It is abap proxy to soap scenario. It's synchronous communication.

• SIGNING problem in soap receiver adapter

Dear Friends,
I am sending the file to soap adapter , it reaching to reciever system but I SIGNING is not happening.
sender side file adapter
receiver side soap adapter
sender side ok , reciever side also ok but only the problem is SIGNING.
receiver side any settings are required.
Please suggest me how to resolve this issue.
Regards,
Shalini Shah

Hi,
If you want to sign the message then enable webservice security in receiver communication channel and specify the certficate for signing in the receiver agreement. Certificates need to be created in Visual Admin and corresponding public key should be provided to the partner for validating the signature.
You need to create a connection type G in SM59 which is required for connecting to J2EE from integration server and you need to specify this connection in the port which need to be created in tcode lpconfig.

• Help, strange problem about SOAP receiver adapter

Hi XI guru,
Secnario as following:
ABAP proxy -> XI -> SOAP receiver
I am using SOAP receiver to send data to legacy system. It looks good in sxmb_moni, so we go to RWB, I see the following error:

So I use XMLSpy to simulate XI to send SOAP request to legacy system, it works fine.In XI, I use WSDL file which legacy system provided to build the mapping, so I think it should be fine. Please comments, thank you for your time.

Hi
For receiver webservice you need to configure a receiver soap adapter

• Send and symbols with soap receiver adapter

I have a integration scenario (IDOC to WebService).
The web service has an action with receives 2 parameters
<MaterialNumber>
and
<MaterialList>
I have imported the wsdl file into Repository and I have define my interface.
But this webservice has a peculiarity:
The content of the second tag is also in xml format (but this is not defined in wsdl). For example
<MaterialList>

<MaterialID>1</MaterialID>
<MaterialDescription>Example</MaterialDescription>
<CreationDate>10102007</CreationDate>

</MaterialList>
A have tried to invoque the webservice with SAP SOAP Client. If i used < and > symbols for Item, MaterialID, MaterialDescription and CreationDate tags I get an xml error. So I have to use < and > instead and its works fine.
So in my message mapping I have done that. I have test it in integration repository and uses < and > in the generated xml. It does exactly what I want. I have a message in this form:
<MaterialList<
<Item<
<MaterialID<1</MaterialID<
<MaterialDescription<Example</MaterialDescription<
<CreationDate<10102007</CreationDate<
</Item<
</MaterialList<
But once I execute my integration scenario, I do a communication channel monitoring and for my surprise i get the next message
& amp; <MaterialList& amp;>
& amp; <Item& amp; >
& amp; <MaterialID& >1& amp; </MaterialID& amp; & amp;gt;
& amp; <MaterialDescription& >Example& </MaterialDescription& >
& amp; <CreationDate& >10102007& amp; </CreationDate & amp; >
& amp; </Item& >
& amp; </MaterialList& >
It seems that the soap adapter has changed &< to & amp;lt;
Is there any way to avoid this?
Thanks to all.

Use CDATA tag and you won't have those problems.

• Problem with Mail receiver adapter

Hi,
I have the following scenario, Proxy ABAP-XI -Mail. I have configured my scenario, and the payload is correctly sent to the email address that i have configured in the mail adapter, but in xml format, the point is that I have to send the attached message as txt format.
I have done the following configuration in the receiving mail adapter channel, in the module section:
Processing sequence
localejbs/sap.com/com.sap.aii.adapter.mail.app/XIMailAdapterBean Local Enterprise Bean mail
localejbs/AF_Modules/MessageTransformBean Local Enterprise Bean XML2Plain
Module configuration
XML2Plain Transform.Class com.sap.aii.messaging.adapter.Conversion
XML2Plain Transform.ContentDisposition attachment;filename="Gen.txt"
XML2Plain Transform.ContentType text/plain;charset=utf-8
XML2Plain xml.REGISTRO_CABECERA.fieldFixedLengths 52
XML2Plain     xml.REGISTRO_DE_DATOS.fieldSeparator     ;
XML2Plain xml.REGISTRO_PIE.fieldFixedLengths 10
XML2Plain xml.addHeaderLine 0
XML2Plain xml.conversionType StructXML2Plain
XML2Plain xml.recordsetStructure REGISTRO_CABECERA,REGISTRO_DE_DATOS,REGISTRO_PIE
Maybe i missed something in my configuration, or maybe this is not the right way for doing it, can anyone help me with this??

• CDATA element deleted in SOAP receiver adapter

Hello Everybody!
I've got a problem with SOAP receiver adapter. I've made a mapping for synchronous HTTP -> XI -> SOAP interface, in which the request mapping is java mapping, which produce a message like this:
<ns0:SaveISDocument xmlns:ns0="http://pl.optix.pl/aews">
<ns0:xmlDocument><IMAGES>

In CDATA is a Base64 representation of some file.
I hoped at oubound of SOAP adapter sholud be something like this:
<SOAP:Envelope xmlns:SOAP='http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/'><SOAP:Header/><SOAP:Body><ns0:SaveISDocument xmlns:ns0='http://pl.optix.pl/aews'>

</IMAGES></ns0:xmlDocument></ns0:SaveISDocument>
</SOAP:Body></SOAP:Envelope>
... which is not correct, because CDATA tags are lost!
Anyone has idea, how to enable adapter to process message right?
Best regards,
Mikolaj

Henrique:
As I wrote - the webservice was wrote by 3rd party software supplier - so I wasn't sure if I could change a specification at this point - that was a reason why I needed a CDATA element. A CDATA element was at entry of this webservice and I couldn't send to it my data correctly using XI. That was a problem. Hope You got it now.
Finally I've managed the problem because 3rd party software supplier agreed to change their service and use <CDATA> tag instead of CDATA element.
I solved the problem but my question still remain not answered.
At OSS I was asked to upload latest SP (now I've got 12 at Java Stack).
If this will help I'll close this thread.
Best regards

• SOAP receiver adapter digest authentization

Hallo,
I have scenario with SOAP receiver adapter configured as follow:
Adapter Type: SOAP
Transport Protocol: HTTP
Message Protocol: SOAP 1.1
Adapter Engine: Integration Serer
Target URL: http://localhost:8099/webservices/test_v1_1_2
Configure User Authentication
User: ****
Pasword:****
but WS need digest HTTP authentication and SOAP adapter send in header Authentication: Basic.
Hou can I change authentication method for SOAP protocol?
Thx

Hallo,
I solved this problem by using AXIS framework. I hope that this short instruction help to someone.
1. In SOAP receiver CC you have to set up Transport Protocol to HTTP(AXIS) and Message protocol to AXIS
2. Now you can switch Authentication to Digest (NOW adapter will still send Basic!!! Digest Authorization is Supported only by the following handler: com.sap.aii.adapter.axis.ra.transport.http.CommonsHTTPSender)
3. On Module tabs in section Module configuration change type HTTPSender to CommonHTTPSender:
(trp handler.type java:com.sap.aii.adapter.axis.ra.transport.http.CommonsHTTPSender)
4. Save and Activate
Before you start to use AXIS framefork you have to deploy necessary library.
This thread help:
Re: How to install SOAP Axis adapter and where is it available ??
Be carefull, for digest authorization you have to linked Optional library "Jakarta-Commons HttpClient" too.
Good luck.

• Soap receiver adapter payload with certficate signature

I have a requirement.. where XI calls external webservice using SOAP.
I have configured SOAP receiver adapter, but the webservice wants the certificate authentication.. From XI we sent the certficate to external webservice and then in the comm channel I did activate the 'certficate' check box. It did not work.
For test purpose now they have deactivated the certficate authentication in their end.. it works if they deactivate. It means there is no issue with request structure.. purely the issue is when I use the certficate.
External webservice sent me the copy of the soap request which works for them.. that has security signature inside the payload. ( I have atteched below).
If anybody has done it have an idea how to do it please let me know.

• SOAP Receiver adapter with attachments not working

Hello,
I have a simple synchronous scenario like this; ABAP proxy with attachments to SOAP with attachments.
The SOAP receiver adapter has been configured with the parameters 'Do not Use SOAP envelope' and 'Keep attachments'. We create our own SOAP envelope with custom SOAP headers, so that's the reason for the 'Do not use SOAP envelope' setting.
When we test the scenario with an attachment then we get a timeout from PI. However, when we test the same scenario without any attachment then no errors occur.
The external webservice has also been tested with SOAP UI and it works fine.
Do you have any clues what the problem can be? What are we still missing in the configuration?
We did try with the adapter modules such as PayloadSwapBean and the Message TransformBean, so far without success...
Many thanks.
Roberto

Hi Stefan,
The attachments are not really big, around 150KB.
According to the other party (Oracle Service Bus) no messages with attachments have been received. In fact it seems like those messages never leave the PI server. SOAP requests without attachments are processed successfully.
Thanks
Roberto

• Error in SOAP Receiver Adapter with HTTPS

Dear All,
I am developing a SOAP to SOAP scenario with HTTPS i.e. client without authentication and I am facing an issue with the receiver adapter. Few messages fails in the receiver side while rest are successful.
Error - Delivery of the message to the application using connection SOAP_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System failed, due to: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: java.io.IOException: Failed to get the input stream from socket: iaik.security.ssl.SSLCertificateException: Peer certificate rejected by ChainVerifier
Please let me know what can be the reason for the error.
Thanks and Regards,
Rana Brata De

Hi Rana,
Check the certificates sequence as well the certificates end dates in STRUST in SAP PI system. if, deployed in NWA level check over there.
One more :: sending the data to web server or web page. make sure, PI is pointing to which server.
Regards,
Kesava.

• Problem in testing SOAP receiver adapter using SOAP UI

Dear Experts,
I'm trying to test my SOAP receiver adapter as mentioned in the blog http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/21844. [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] But, my request from ECC proxy keeps failing in XI communcation channel monitor. I've configured my receiver adapter http://ip:8080/mockSoapHTTPBinding and kept the authentication as NONE. Can any of you suggest?
ip - is my system ip shown in ipconfig.
mockSoapHTTPBinding - is the path.
Thanks.

What is the error of the messages? Are the messages leaving the SOAP adapter?
Please try both:
1. Go to Runtime Workbench -> Component Monitoring -> Adapter Engine -> Test message. Then, execute the message directly without the intermediate of the Proxy sender. This will allow you to check only the receiver SOAP.
2. Please use the TCPGateway tool attached from the note below. It will be a "man-in-the-middle" between the target WS and the Receiver SOAP channel, tracking the whole HTTP/SOAP message. Check if the message is well-formed.
