Problem with xsl:import and xsl:apply-templates select="element_name"

I import a xsl tranformation into another xsl file.
During the transformation i want to limit the transformation to certain xml elements using the select attribute in apply-templates. However if I want restrict to xml elements whose templates are defined in the imported file, they will not be called.
I'm using currently JWSDP1.4 but problem was also with 1.3.
Can anybody help: Is this not xslt spec compliant or just a bug inXALAN ?
regards pszawlow

Solved it by myself:
the problem was not the import but the following:
xml file: looks like:
<a>
   <b>
   </b>
    <c>
    </c>
</a>xsl file looked like and should omit output of <c> </c>:
<xsl:template match="/">
<xsl:apply-templates select="b" />
</xsl:template>
<xsl:template match="b">
</xsl:template>
However / is not the level <a>, which I thought. So there was no matching <b>.
I changed the xsl file to:
<xsl:template match="/">
<xsl:apply-templates />
</xsl:template>
<xsl:template match="a">
<xsl:apply-templates select="b" />
</xsl:template>
<xsl:template match="b">
</xsl:template>
and it worked !

  • Xsl:import and xsl:call-template errors for xslt in mediator (ORAMED-03601)

    Hello,
    I decided for performance issues with bpel execution to use a mediator instead.
    In my requester i have a mediator that justs recieves an xml message, uses an xsl transformation (version 2) on that message and then sends it to the EBS.
    The xsl file that's works correctly when used in a bpel process has both <xsl:import..../>and <xsl:call_template.../> tags.
    When i tried and used the same xsl in the mediator i get an ORAMED-03601 error:
    ORAMED-03601:[Invalid transformer configuration]Unable to create transformer. It could be because of transformation file or configuration issues. Reason : "xsl/Xform_PriceListListABMReqMsg_to_PriceListEBMReqMsg.xsl"Possible Fix:Check log file for any exceptions and contact Oracle Support Services for further help
    It works correctly again if i comment/remove all the imports and call-template and incorporate them in the xsl file itself.
    Do anyone know if there are some limitations using xsl in a mediator instead of a bpel?

    Hi,
    I have a problem with call-template. I have passed
    sed some parameter with call-template tag and used
    that parameter in the conditional check tag <xsl:if>
    i am getting the error. Can any body tell how to use
    this? I actuall want to dynamically pass the tag name
    as the parameter and check the attribute value of the
    tag passed in the if condition and then i want to
    person some action. How can i do it?
    Here is the call-template code:
    <xsl:call-template name="selected-unselected">
    <xsl:with-param
    ram name="currentTag">motor-carrier</xsl:with-param>
    </xsl:call-template>
    Here is the template definition:
    <xsl:template name="selected-unselected">
    <xsl:param
    m name="currentTag">Quick-Quote</xsl:param>
         <xsl:if test="./{$currentTag}/@selected='true'">
              <xsl:text>checked</xsl:text>
         </xsl:if>
         <xsl:if test="./{$currentTag}/@selected='false'">
              <xsl:text>Unchecked</xsl:text>
         </xsl:if>
    </xsl:template>
    Here is the sample xml code:
    <motor-carrier selected="true"/>
    <motor-truck selected="false"/>
    <sched-mobile-equip selected="false"/>
    Here instead of writing the condition check for every
    tag i want to write it once and dynamically pass the
    tag name as parameter to the template. If the
    attribute of the tag has value true then one message
    should be displayed otherwise a different message
    should be displayed.try this:
    <xsl:template name="selected-unselected">
         <xsl:paramm name="currentTag">Quick-Quote</xsl:param>
         <xsl:if test="./*[name()=$currentTag]/@selected='true'">
              <xsl:text>checked</xsl:text>
         </xsl:if>
         <xsl:if test="./*[name()=$currentTag]/@selected='false'">
              <xsl:text>Unchecked</xsl:text>
         </xsl:if>
    </xsl:template>

  • Two problems with video: Import and gamma

    I downloaded and tried LR4 today and found the new adjustment features quite impressive. I was also very eager to try the new video facilities. Woudl have loved to...
    Running on iMAC with Lion, pictures and video from a Pentax K5. Video is full HD @25fps. Never had any problems in LR3.6 with importing or cataloging my videos.
    When I tried to import already downloaded photos and videos two things happend:
    First, some of the videos are not in their "correct" position in grid view, while others are correct. In finder date and filename are correct.
    Second and more complicated, videos are completely off in colors and play with interruptions. I attached of few screen shots of what it looks like in LR3.6 and LR4.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Joachim
    p.s. just tried direct import from camera, with the same effect, at least regarding colors and slow video replay.

    Thanks,
    did not get a PM yet. After trying with several other sources I finally found the "mistake" after installing and trying LR4 on my MBP. The reason for the color shift is that I switched on the development preset Auto tone, which for video gives this crazy results. Other presets work just fine, even giving a warning that some of the adjustments might not apply in video. Auto Tone and the video is off.
    Hope this helps.

  • Having problems with OPA 10 and office 2007 templates

    Hi,
    I have a OPA 10 and office 2007 set up which is having some issues with the macros. Seems to me that the visual basic code is not kicking off really well sometimes. I am trying to map the sequence which leads to the errors and I believe that the issue is around opening an old word doc which has a old template version (.dot). This may be the cause for OPA getting lost when working with word 2007.
    For example, I ask to open a rules doc and the visual basic tells me that OPA couldn't open the doc but word is opening the doc anyway. However none of the toolbar commands work as well as I can 't save the doc etc.
    Have you experienced any issue with OPA 10 and Office 2007? Any special word configuration? Should i go back to office 2003?
    BTW, I have both dotm and dot templates loaded as add-ins in word. The dotm toolbar looks good but the dot toolbar is a bit strange in 2007.
    Cheers,
    Paulo

    Hi Paulo,
    Have a look at the following tips from Davin Fifield about troubleshooting the toolbar.
    Sometimes when using Oracle Policy Modeling, Microsoft Word documents that are part of a Policy Modeling project may appear without the OPA toolbar (in Office 2003) or OPA options on the Add-Ins ribbon (in Office 2007) when opened in Microsoft Word.
    This problem can be caused by various factors.
    Here are the top three troubleshooting steps to try to recover from this situation.
    1. With your project open in Oracle Policy Modeling, run Update Oracle Policy Templates from the Tools menu. This will attempt to make sure the correct Word template is attached to each project Word document that is not currently excluded from the build. Open a Word document to see if the toolbar/ribbon is now displayed correctly. If not, continue to step 2.
    2. Try changing the UI language for your project. To do this, choose Options, from the Tools menu in Oracle Policy Modeling. Select Environment. Selet General. Under Authoring UI Language, choose a language other than your preferred UI language, and click OK. Then repeat these steps to revert to your preferred language. Open a Word document to see if the toolbar/ribbon is now displayed correctly. If not, continue to step 3.
    3. Open one of the Word documents in your Policy Modeling project. Run the macro UpdateToolbar: In Word 2007, choose the View ribbon, then select Macros/View Macros, highlight the UpdateToolbar macro, then choose Run.
    Does this resolve your issue?

  • Problem with batch import and ReadAloud flag

    We use the batch import to get our books into the Content Server. We have a couple of books where we want to allow the read-aloud feature. According to the manual setting the flag acs:RightReadAloud to -1 in the XML import file should take care of this but it doesn't work for us. I have tried setting the flag to -1 and 0 but the result is the same. <br />Below is an excerpt from our XML file:<br />          <acs:PublishInfo><br />               <acs:RightReadAloud>-1</acs:RightReadAloud><br />Any suggestions?

    What version of ACS are you using and what process are you using? <br /><br />The following should work:<br />- export the XML for the books you want to change<br />- modify the XML tags for acs:RightReadAloud from 0 to -1<br />- make sure the values for the NotifcationType tags are set to 04 (update)--rather than 03 (replace)<br />  <Product> <br />    <NotificationType>03</NotificationType><br />- import the XML<br /><br />Do a new search for the books in ACS (to make sure you're seeing the new values) and check that the read aloud rights have changed.<br /><br />There is a problem in the importer which could cause an update like this to fail. • Xsl:import and precedence?

    I am following Steve's example on using "ColumnOverrides.xsl"
    (page 700) to create drill down links for certain values I'm
    returning. Problem is, my generic:
    <xsl:template match="ROW/*">
    <td valign="top"><xsl:apply-templates/></td>
    </xsl:template>
    ...seems to be taking precedence over the templates I am
    <xsl:import>ing:
    <xsl:template match="ROW/Team">
    <td>
    <xsl:apply-templates/>
    </td>
    </xsl:template>
    <xsl:template match="ROW/League">
    <td>
    <xsl:apply-templates/>
    </td>
    </xsl:template>
    The ROW/Team and ROW/League returned values are not in hyperlink
    form.
    I can verify that the import is working by changing the ROW/*
    template to specify ROW/Team. When I do that, the value for team
    remains normal/un-hyperlinked, but the value for ROW/League is
    now the correct hyperlink! So, that leads me to believe that the
    ROW/* is taking precedence over the ROW/Team and ROW/League
    imports.
    Steve's book says to use xsl:import to make sure imported
    templates take higher predcedence. Am I missing something?
    Thanks. Excuse my lenghtly post.

    I figured it out. The <xsl:import>'s have to be in a particular
    order as well.

  • Xsl:include xsl:import and clob

    I can use xslprocessor.processXSL to perform transformation where the XML and XSL are in CLOBs.
    However, is it possible to perform transformation if the XML and XSLs are in CLOBs and the XSL have xsl:include and xsl:import?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Andy

    It will be supported in later release.

  • E-Recruiting: Problems with search profile and serach templates

    Hi Recruiting-Experts,
    I´m facing problems with "Search Profiles" and "Search Templates"
    (Customizing SPRO --> SAP-E-Recruiting --> Recruitment --> Talent Warehouse --> Candidate --> Candidate Search )
    Out customers wants me to add a new search criterion to the talent search. It's a customer-field (type 'd' --> Date)  belonging to infotype 5106.
    Unfortunately, it doesn't work. The hit list is always empty.
    What I did:
    Customizing (see above)
    Updated search profile (report RCF_RECREATE_SEARCH_PROFILES)
    The result:
    I can see and choose the new search criterion on talent warehouse search site (recruiters startpage)
    I can find the data (internal format yyyymmdd) via transaction SKPR07 (see XML below, ZZEARLIEST_ENTRY 20090901)
    By the way, the hit list is also empty when adding and searching for birthdate.
    Has it got to do with the date stored in internal format?
    Thanks for any comments / help.

  • Problems with .ARW files and auto toning

    problems with .ARW files and auto toning
    let me try to explain this because this has happened in past and never found a way to resolve but i lived with it
    now that I have a Sony A7R the problem is more serious
    Firstly i take pride it making the picture happen all in camera, i use DRO lvl 5 to get enough light, like when i'm shooting at dusk. DRO its like doing HDR but in a single file, it lightens the darks. in my camera i'm happy with results
    but when I upload them to lightroom, they come out near black.
    allow me to explain
    lets say I import 100 images
    i double check my preferences and everything is UNCHECKED when it comes to importing options, there is no auto toning, nothing.
    as the images import i see a preview in the thumbnail which looks fine.
    i double click on one to enlarge it, hence leave grid view.
    for a brief 1 or 2 seconds, i see the full image in all its glory but than lightroom does something funny, it darkens the image
    one by one as it inspects each image, if it was a DRO image it makes it too dark.
    to make this clear, the image is perfect as it was in the beginning but after a few seconds lightroom for some reason thinks it needs to correct it.
    how to prevent lightroom from doing this, i want the image exactly as it is, why must lightroom apply a correction>?
    i think it has to do something with interpreting the raw file and lightroom applies its own algorithm.
    but here is what i dont get.....before lightroom makes the change i'm able to witness the picture exactly as it was taken and want it unchanged..
    now i have to tweak each file or find a profile for it which is added work.
    any ideas how to prevent lightroom from ruining my images and just leave them as they were when first detected...
    there are 2 phases...one is when it originally imports and they look fine
    second is scanning each image and applying some kind of toning which darkens it too much.
    thanks for the help

    sorry thats the auto reply message from yahoo email.
    i've disabled it now
    thing is, there is no DRO jpg to download from the camera
    its only ARW. so my understanding is when i use DRO setting, the camera makes changes to the ARW than lightroom somehow reads this from the ARW.
    but then sadly reverts it to no DRO settings.
    because i notice if i take normal picture in raw mode its dark but if i apply dro to it, it comes out brighter, yet when i d/l the image from camera to lightroom, which is an ARW - there are no jpgs. lightroom decides to mess it up
    so in reality there is no point in using DRO because when i upload it lightroom removes it.
    is there a way to tell lightroom to preserve the jpg preview as it first sees it.
    its just lame, picture appears perfect...than lightroom does something, than bam, its ruined,.
    what do i need to do to prevent lightroom from ruining the image? if it was good in the first place.

  • Problem with java, ASCII and Linux

    Hi Friends,
    I has a Linux RedHat 9.0 with a jre1.5.0_04 (rpm package of Sun).
    I has a problem with ASCII , for example :
    import java.io.*;
    public class HolaMundo
    public static void main (String[] args)
    System.out.println("Hol Mndo");
    this programs runs ok on my windows jdk so it prints "Hol Mndo", but when i run the same HolaMundo.class program on my linux redhat it prints "Hol Mndo"
    I think the problem is with the ASCII table that uses the linux version of jre, but i dont know how to solve this problem. I need a Spanish-European ASCII table on my application but i think it is working with a US-ASCII table.
    Then i has installed a kaffe 1.0 (rpm) java machie on this linux and this solve the problem but i has another problems of compatibility with this old version of java kaffe.
    Do you know whats happening?
    Thanks in advance.

    The problem doesn't have to do anything with Java or Linux as far as i can see. It's more likely a problem with Windows XP and IE. Be assured that normally downloading the Linux JDK in windows is not a problem.

  • Problem with export / import

    Hi everybody, I am having a problem with an import. I am doing an export with a value in an user exit:
    EXPORT V_NLQNR = V_NLQNR TO MEMORY ID 'QUANTL'
    And after I call import in another program:
    IMPORT V_NLQNR = V_NLQNR FROM MEMORY ID 'QUANTL'.
    But when I check the sy-subrc I am getting 4, so I don't get anything.
    Does anybody why?? Is there a problem if I call the export from an user exit??
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
    I think you have the right idea.
    As a suggestion I would name my variables to make it clear which data is being
    exported/imported. I would also use different names on the left and right side of the = sign.
    Here is a working example from programs that I use:
    In the first program
       EXPORT intercodata FROM g_data_exp TO MEMORY ID 'INTERCOWOS'.
         where g_data_exp is declared as a global variable
    In the second program
       IMPORT  intercodata TO g_data_imp FROM MEMORY ID 'INTERCOWOS'.
         where g_data_imp is declared as a global variable
    The syntax that you use ( p1 = dobj1 )  should work as well, just make sure that the variable v_nlqnr to the right of the equal sign has a value before the export.

    There are dozens of CSS attributes that can (and have to) be handwritten. Trouble with them is that, like text shadows, they don't appear in all browsers. I have nine different browsers installed and test pages in ALL of them before I "finish" building site or page for a template.
    I try to build for Firefox, out of personal preference for it, but I have to do things that work with IE because it still holds the market share (46%IE to 42%FF), and I will only go with designs that work in IE, FF, NS, Opera, Safari, and Chrome.
    As to your questions.
    1. The compatibility check is most likely current with the time of the build. I don't know if that component updates as browsers do, but I'd tend to think it doesn't. I'm using CS4  and there haven't been any updates for it in nearly a year. Firefox has released 4.0, Opera released 11, and Safari released 5 since then. The updater would have found and downloaded something if it was available.
    2. I could only guess. Text shadows DON'T show up in design view (or in IE) but they do in browser preview. It's just a UI quirk, and it means "trial and error" is the onyl way to get what you want.
    3. The quick-selects which are in DW dropdowns or popouts are the ones most  common to CSS designs and have been proven to work with all browsers at the time of release of your particular build of DW.
    Hope that helps..

  • Problem with Group policies and Administrator count

    I have one problem with Group policies and Admnistrator count.
    Win XP, Client 4.91, Client Zen 4
    I use DLU for users.
    the Group policies are well applied and i keep them after logout for
    security reasons.
    But my problem is, after logout, the Administrator count becomes this
    Group policies, and the only technique that I use, is to remove the
    repertories c:\windows\system32\GroupPolicy*. Administrator must
    loguing again for having good policies.
    Can you help me?

  • Problems with ListViews Drag and Drop

    I'm surprised that there isn't an Active X control that can do this more
    easily? Would
    be curious to find out if there is - although we aren't really embracing the
    use of
    them within Forte because it locks you into the Microsoft arena.

    Subject: Problems with ListViews Drag and Drop
    I am just curious as to other people's experiences with the ListView
    widget when elements in it are set to be draggable. In particular, I am
    currently trying to design an interface that looks a lot like Windows
    Explorer where a TreeView resides on the left side of the window and a
    ListView resides on the right side. Upon double clicking on the
    ListView, if the current node that was clicked on was a folder, then the
    TreeView expands this folder and the contents are then displayed in the
    ListView, otherwise, it was a file and it is brought up in Microsoft
    Word. All this works great if I don't have the elements in the ListView
    widget set to be draggable. If they are set to be draggable, then I am
    finding that the DoubleClick event seems to get registered twice along
    with the ObjectDrop event. This is not good because if I double click
    and the current node is a folder, then it will expand this folder in the
    TreeView, display the contents in the ListView, grab the node that is
    now displayed where that node used to be displayed and run the events
    for that as well. What this means, is that if this is a file, then Word
    is just launched and no big deal. Unfortunately, if this happens to be
    another directory, then the previous directory is dropped into this
    current directory and a recursive copy gets performed, giving me one
    heck of a deep directory tree for that folder.
    Has anybody else seen this, or am I the only lucky one to experience.
    If need be, I do have this exported in a .pex file if anybody needs to
    look at it more closely.
    Thanks in advance.

    here is the required code....
    private static class TreeDragGestureListener implements DragGestureListener {
         public void dragGestureRecognized(DragGestureEvent dragGestureEvent) {
         // Can only drag leafs
         JTree tree = (JTree) dragGestureEvent.getComponent();
         TreePath path = tree.getSelectionPath();
         if (path == null) {
              // Nothing selected, nothing to drag
              System.out.println("Nothing selected - beep");
              tree.getToolkit().beep();
         } else {
              DefaultMutableTreeNode selection = (DefaultMutableTreeNode) path
                   .getLastPathComponent();
              if (selection.isLeaf()) {
              TransferableTreeNode node = new TransferableTreeNode(
                   selection);
              dragGestureEvent.startDrag(DragSource.DefaultCopyDrop,
                   node, new MyDragSourceListener());
              } else {
              System.out.println("Not a leaf - beep");
              tree.getToolkit().beep();
