Problems accessing Oracle BAM-Website

Hi!
I've installed Oracle BAM (10.1.3.1.0) on a WindowsXP SP2 machine using an Oracle 10.2.0.3.0 Database. There were no problems during install, the intallation-guide is quite good for this product. After installation i tried to access the BAM-Website on
http://<servername>:8080/oraclebam (the portnumber is the default-port for the IIS installed). I received an error-message stating an 'Error during the processing of the request' (actually it is the german message 'Fehler bei der Verarbeitung des Requests', so my translation may not be the original english message). After klicking on the present 'Details'-Link i get the following posted at the end of this article (see below).
In the WinXP-EventLog there ara also errors stating "EventEngine: During Check ADC, exception Input string was not in a correct format."
I suppose that ADC stands for 'Active Data Cache', whose service is up and running.
I could not find a solution in any of the existing threads, so any help would be highly appreciated.
Thank you,
Magnus

Hi,
Where is BAM suppose to be installed? Is it supposed to be in the same computer as the soa suite is? The soa suite is installed on port 80 by default, and also is the BAM so if I already have my soa suite, how am I supposed to install BAM in the same port?
Is BAM really not working on a different port than 80?
Any help would be appreciated,
Zaloa

    Hi,
I've installed BAM 10.1.2 on Windows 2000 Professional. I have IIS 5.0 and Microsoft 1.1 .Net Framework installed on my PC. I'm able to use the Design Studio and Admin from Oracle BAM Enterprise Link. The installation completed successfully but I'm still not able to open the BAM start page.
    I see the error:

  • Having Problems Accessing my own Website!

    Hello there,
I had a very strange problem today.  I run a website (http://jag35.com) which I hosted for free on Byethost.com
I usually access this from home no problems, for about a year now, today when I tried to call it on my browser (safari on an iMac) it timed out.  Server didn't respond, so I thought my free host of course is down.
So to quickly test this I checked another site that I also host on with the same company under the same account (http://vdslruser.com) and that pulled up just fine, so I thought it was strange already.  This lead lead me to check my Who's Online account, basically a small widget that tells you who's online at this moment watching your website (http://whos.amung.us/stats/n3u5yoc1plgi/) this widget tells me that there are people on my website, it even tells me which pages they are one, which makes this situation even more strange.  Other can view my website, but I can't for some reason.
I immediately thought it was my computer of course.  So I restart my computer, clear out my cache & cookies, flush my DNS cache on my computer, and I still have the same problem, all other pages seem to work just fine, except for my http://jag35.com domain.  I tried the pulling the page on another computer at my house, same problem, then I tried a laptop, same thing.  It's beginning to become even more strange.
So I restart my router and modem a couple of times, even reset all my settings to make sure the problem isn't there.  Nothing, same problem.  I sent out a twitter message to see if anyone else was having problems viewing my page, everyone says it's fine except for a couple of other people, I then asked those other people who had the same problem, which service provider they were using.  Turned out they were both using Verizon.
I tried to ping the site and do a trace route and I just keep getting a timeout message, however I also noticed that I get a timed out message on most domains that I try to ping or trace route.  I haven't come up with a solution of figured out where the problem is.  I hope someone that's had the same problem came share some insight  as to what might be a solution.
I have a feeling, I'm gonna have to change my free host, but I'm just hoping to understand the problem.

I tried to access your website using a Verizon FiOS connection and it failed.  Running a traceroute suggested that the failure occured after the first hop that did not have "Verizon" in the server name.
About two hours later I tried and succeeded in accessing your website using a Comcast connection.  It would appear that Verizon has a problem.
Just for laughs and grins I tried accessing your website using a Verizon DSL connection.  Once again, the connection failed.  Tracert showed the connection failing after first hop without "Verizon" in the server name.  Are you starting to see a pattern here?

  • Problems accessing specific website

I'm trying to download a widget from www.bigbucketblog.com but Safari keeps telling me that the server can't be found. I have no problems accessing any other websites so I can't understand why this specific one is causing me a problem. I've tried a traceroute and it's telling me 'no route to host'. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

I should also add I'm connecting to the internet via an AEBS connected to a Speedtouch ADSL modem.
That shouldn't be an issue, since no other sites present the "server can't be found" message. Have you also tried "Reset Safari?"

Looks like routing problems in BT's network.
Obviously this also causes loads of issues with many websites due to Analytics not loading.

    Hi there,
I have the exact same problem since this morning. It makes it impossible to connect to Google, YouTube, Google Finance, Google Maps, etc.
I have filed incident reports and been on the phone for 2.5 hrs today with 3 different BT callcenters and helpdesks in the UK and India. Every BT representative has refused to escalate the problem because "if it's only Google that is affected, then it's not a BT problem."
I am based in Kingston, where are you based? (to see if it's a local problem)
Here is my example of a broken traceroute:

  • I can't access this secure website with the new fireforx upgrade but I could before the upgrade.

As above. What can I say-I have tried everything listed on the support forum website. I had no problem accessing this secure website, which is my work email, before I upgraded to Firefox 4.0. I would prefer not have to go back to the previous version if possible. I don't like IE because it is just too slow, but right now I have to use it to access this website. I have windows firewall and have allowed firefox.exe as an exception. Any suggestions as this is very frustrating. Thanks

You should be able to use the OpenVPN Connect app running on your iPad to connect your iPad to the VPN directly. It is an official OpenVPN client for iOS devices.
In what way is it "not compatible"? Have you tried it? Tunnelblick is an OpenVPN client, so your school's VPN is using the OpenVPN protocol. That means any OpenVPN client should be able to access it. (It is possible, but unlikely, that your school uses encryption that is not available on the iPad, but that would be very unusual.)
Otherwise, a remote control app on your iPad would let you control your Mac at home. "Back to My Mac", for example, would allow you to control your Mac remotely. The tricky part of this is that usually a VPN is set up to send all Internet traffic via the VPN server, and I'm not sure how that would work with "Back to My Mac".

  • Accessing bit.ly websites using Airport

I am finding that I just cannot access websites that start with an http://bit.ly/... address using my MacBook over an Airport connection.
I'm using a Belkin wireless router that is configured to use OpenDNS but have no problem reaching any other websites. Also I have no problems accessing bit.ly websites using a Mac mini (via ethernet) and an iPod touch both of which are going via the same router.
I cannot find any Network settings in System Preferences that could pertain to this problem so any ideas would be appreciated.

I just checked and can do so with no issues.
Make sure that you don't have any proxy servers set in your Network preference pane for your AirPort connection.

  • Oracle Bam Installation problems with IIS, Error code 1

Hello, When I try to install oracle bam I got like 40 errors when its executing some vbs scripts, I think that these scripts create the virtual directories and so on but I am not sure.
The error that I see in the event log in spanis is this:
I need to say that I am an administrator on this machinem so I dont know that the problem is.

    Thanks.
    Yes, I do have a P4.
I have looked through previous postings and have found the following suggestions, both of which I have tried:
    1. Copy the files from CD to disk, rename symcjit.dll and then run install.
    2. Oracle seem to suggest that the disk directories must be called Disk1 etc.
I have also tried removing the Java SDK I had installed, stopping Apache and stopping MySQL.
    Nothing has worked.
    Any more ideas (please....)?

  • Problems accessing school website

I'm trying to get onto the library website for my school and it will not let me. I've never had any problems accessing websites before. This is the first time. I've had my router about a week and a half now. I've been researching my issue all morning and I'm not sure what's wrong. I believe the firmware is up-to-date. I knew a few things about the internet but I am new to networking. Can someone help me?

Goto www.linksys.com/download and check for latest versio of firmware and update it. It might fix it

  • Problems accessing certain websites, regardless of selected browser

I use Safari as default, but the problem occurs also in Firefox.  Certain sites simply will NOT load, like ebay, www.kvraudio.com, and m.matrixsynth.com.
I have no problem accessing these sites on my iPhone or any other computer.  There is a laborious workaround: to unplug and replug my AirPort Extreme will at least load the front page of each of these.
I have run repair permissions many times to no avail.  What could be the culprit?  Cookies?  Any helpful suggestions would be welcome.

Hmmm....a quick glance at the "More like this" box on the right found my solution.  Apparently, replacing the DNS server did the trick.

    Hi swati,
    1. for this u will also require help of basis team.
    2. these are the steps.
    a) make an entry in DBCON
    b) make connection string
    (on the physical application server,
so that it can connect to secondary database)
(this will be done by basis team,
in which, they will specify the
IP address of the secondary database server,
the DATABASE ID, and the port number)
    c) then using open sql / native sql,
we can use the secondary database connection,
    just like normal.
    d) if we use open sql,
then there must be Y/Z table on
sap as well as secondary database,
and the field names , their type all should be identical.
    regards,
    amit m.

  • I'm having a problem accessing Bupers Online using my CAC reader. I get an error that says safari can't establish a secure connection to the website. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I am having a problem accessing Bupers Online on OS X Mountain Lion. I get an error that says Safari cant establish a secure connection with Bupers Online. Does anyone have any tips to access Bupers?

I don't use CAC certificates, but since updating to 10.9.3, I too am getting the same error, BUT only with some HTTPS sites (e.g., https://webmail.pairlite.com), not all. Meanwhile, Firefox (was 12.0, now 29.0.1) connects with no issue.
I too have verified date/time is set automatically, checked for (and fixed) disk integrity errors and permissions, and rebooted, all to no avail.
    Update:
Well...heck. Tried accessing the problematic site via the Guest account, and that WORKED. So...back to the drawing board.

  • Oracle BAM Authentication Question

We are facing a strange problem related to Oracle BAM authentication and I'd like to ask for opinions or suggestions.
    - We have a BAM Server called MYSERVER
    - MYSERVER is a Win2003 and BAM was installed using MYSERVER\Administrator account
    - We have a domain called MYDOMAIN
    - MYSERVER is part of domain MYDOMAIN and this domain is registered in MYSERVER as a trusted domain.
    - We have four user groups created in domain, not in bam server:
    1) MYDOMAIN\bamAdmin
    2) MYDOMAIN\bamArchitect
    3) MYDOMAIN\bamDesigner
    2) MYDOMAIN\bamUser
    - In Windows 2003 we added the following users to the groups below:
user MYDOMAIN\adm was added to group MYDOMAIN\bamAdmin
user MYDOMAIN\arch was added to group MYDOMAIN\bamArchitect
user MYDOMAIN\des was added to group MYDOMAIN\bamDesigner
user MYDOMAIN\usr was added to group MYDOMAIN\bamUser
    - In Administrator>Login Management
We didn't create login for users, only groups just described:
    MYDOMAIN\bamAdmin
    MYDOMAIN\bamArchitect
    MYDOMAIN\bamDesigner
    MYDOMAIN\bamUser
    - In Administrator>Roles Management
We selected each Role and added the following groups
    Administrator > MYDOMAIN\bamAdmin
    Report Architect > MYDOMAIN\bamArchitect
    Report Creator > MYDOMAIN\bamDesigner
    Report Viewer > MYDOMAIN\bamUser
    - After that, we return to Administrator > Login Management to review groups
There is an yellow question mark indicating bam cannot validate this login in domain controller.
This login is not currently known to be a valid login.
We click in one of the described groups, such as
    MYDOMAIN\bamUser
And then in "View Roles" link.
    We receive the following message
ADC Server exception in GetUserGroups(): 3.
    Source: "ActiveDataCache" ID: "ADCServerException"
Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password
    Source: "Oracle.BAM.Common.Core"
Sometimes we get: "Network path not found" and finally we get this message:
"The account used to run the Oracle BAM Active Data Cache does not have permission to retrieve the list of groups for this user. Contact your network administrator."
    - If MYDOMAIN\usr that was added to group MYDOMAIN\bamUser try to access BAM Viewer module or bam home page (http://myserver/oracleBam), he receives the same error in welcome screen.
    - User MYDOMAIN\usr can login to MYSERVER server in domain MYDOMAIN, so server recognizes the domain and user.
    - In Windows NT Alert Viewer we have several errors/warnings registered, telling that BAM could not validate user/login and also "RPC Server Unavailable" errors.
    - I tried changing ADC Service user credentials to MYDOMAIN\Administrator, but ADC Service didn't start anymore, so we have to reconfigure to MYSERVER\Administrator.
    - In ADC Log we have several messages indicating BAM could not validate user:
2008-01-22 17:26:11,875 [User Validation Thread] WARN - ActiveDataCache Caught exception while validating user MYDOMAIN\usr: Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password
And when we changed credentials to MYDOMAIN\Administrator we got messages indicating bam stores some type of key/encrypt information by user who installed product (MYSERVER/Administrator):
2008-01-22 16:49:16,062 [1484] ERROR - ActiveDataCache DPAPI was unable to decrypt data. CryptUnprotectData failed. Error -2146893813: Key not valid for use in specified state.
Somebody may point us what could be wrong, perhaps a tip or doc about WINDOWS/BAM auth integration?
Metalink has few information about that, such as Note: 412555.1, but from network view it seems to be correct because we may log on MYDOMAIN\usr to MYSERVER successfully.
Bam could integrate to NT user authentication seamlessly, but it seems to me that it's harder and tricky than we thought.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you in advance,
    Rogério

    Hi,
Windows services running as local user can not do domain user authentication (even when machine is on that domain)
You will need to change ADC Service user credentials to MYDOMAIN\Administrator. If you just do this only in services, service wont start because the database passwords in config files are encrypted as original user and can not be decrypted by new user.
See "Working with Post-Install Password Changes and Password Expiration Policies" in the BAM Install Guide (In chapter 3 under Additional Configuration Settings) to change the config files. And also add MYSERVER\Administrator to BAM Administrator group before change.
The easiest may be to just reinstall as user MYDOMAIN\Administrator.
    Thanks
    Ranga

  • Oracle BAM Application Policies in EM missing

    Hello,
I am trying to assign users and/or groups to the pre-seeded Oracle BAM application policies (section 26.3.2 and 26.3.3 of below support document). The way I get there is to navigate in the EM: BAM/OracleBamServer(right-click)/Security/ApplicationPolicies. When the page opens, I click on the blue arrow button to do a search. However, no security policies are found. When I do the same thing for ApplicationRoles, no roles are found. Is there something I need to do to get the pre-seeded application policies and roles for BAM? In other environments, I haven't had this problem - the roles and policies were populated already.
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/integration.1111/e10226/bam_manage.htm
    Thanks

The solution provided to me by Oracle Support was to copy/paste a missing section into the admin server's system-jazn-data.xml file. The complete section is listed below. Oracle Support said that the file must have been overwritten at some point during the install or while restarting SOA managed servers.
The location of the file: /opt/oracle/product/fmw/user_projects/domains/soa_domain/config/fmwconfig
