Problems adding fields when an event is triggered

Hi,
I need to create a button that with each click adds a textField. Looking some tutorials i see something like that:

I have tried it with event form1.btn1::click with javaScript Language and executing in Client Side. But doesn't work.
The server uses NWDS 7.0.14 and Adobe LC 7.1

How to distinguish the field on which event is triggered? (ABAP Web Dynpro)

I have an application where there are multiple input fields in the layout. After the user clicks search help for the input field and selects a value, some action has to be performed for each input field. Currently, I am coding the required action in "WDDOMODIFYVIEW" method. This method will be called whenever there is any action on any input field (as its name says), but how can I distinguish on which input field the method is triggered? or How can I know on which field the search help has been triggered?
or I would be happy to implement any other solution if available.

You can implement OVS in your input field.
In the event ON_OVS you will get the value of the attribute OVS_CONTEXT_ATTRIBUTE which can give you the id of the input field in which OVS is implemented.
I think by using this you can distinguished among your input field and based on which you can do your particular coding.

I have a requirement where in i have to create a new row when clicked on a add row button.
In order to complete the requirement i have created a rowLayout region in the page and in the Controller i am adding the childs to the region in the PR.
Childs are geting inserted in the same row..But i am not able to add child in the next row...
Any body having any clue...then plz help...

I am able to do so from processRequest but when i am tring to handle the button or partial event in the ProcessFormRequest then i am getting an error.

After adding field to Datasource not getting data for it

Hi All,
I have extended the datasource 2lis_11_VASCL and added three keyfig to it.
I have changed it accordingly in EXIT_SAPLRSAP_001 (trans. data).
In RSA3 when i go to debug mode it is fetching correct data, But the problem is that when i check the data in the rsa3 using displaylist it is not showing newly added fields in the structure.
I have replicated the datasource to BW here i can see newly added fields.when i ran the delta update still it is not extracting anything for newly added fields.
I think my problem is in R/3 only coz it is not showing fields itself in rsa3 or rsa7.
Pls. help me out.

Hi,
In RSA3 after you display the list choose a record and selected Choose detail(CtrlshiftF3) and check.
Or from the menu select > settings > display variant > current and see if it is in the hidden list.

I have a while loop, in which i am reading from/writing to a compact rio. Furthermore, i added a event structure, its the 1st time i'm using it so i'm a bit lost at times.
I have the event structure set up for all my button i want to trigger an event. However, i have some other code which i would also like to be executed, evebn though no event has been executed.
I noticed that the other stuff in the loop only gets executed the 1st time through the loop and when an event is triggered.
My question therefore is, how do i get the other stuff to execute as well?

Put the other code in the timeout event case. Wire some positive value to the timeout hourglass input. That code will execute everytime a timeout occurs. For instance, if you wire 100 into the timeout, the code in that case will execute every 100 mSec.

Can xMII sense an event being triggered in SAP?

I have a requirement where, when some event is triggered in SAP, I have to fetch some data from SAP to xMII and do some procesing and post the data back to SAP. Is there any way by which xMII can sense the event being triggered in SAP?

It can be done with a trick
1. Create the transaction in xMII
2. Generate the webservice.
3. Consume it in ERP
a. from SE80 you have to consume
b. From Lpconfig you have to create a port.
4. Now after the event occured in ERP,Call the interface of the class you have created in SE80
And it is done

Buttons stay pressed when using event structure

I have an event structure in a while loop to handle various buttons the user can press. I used this instead of case structures on the buttons because I have some advanced events I want to happen to the controls as well. Code wise it is working fine, but the buttons are not release when you press them. They only change once when pressed. So if they are released and you click them they stay pressed. If you click on them again, they release. This is very ugly. What am I doing wrong? I have tried changing thier type to switched vs latched and it makes no difference. I tried changing the event on them as well and that doesn't seem to matter. Currently I have "mouse released" on the button as the event trigger.

If you have the buttons configured for "latch" operation (reset after being read, which sounds like what you want), the button will only reset when it is actually read within the code- are they connected to anything or read somewhere within your application? The simplest way to ensure the buttons are read when the event is triggered is to place them within the mouse-up event.

Hi Kevin,
The BadI for adding fields when displaying worklist items is UDM_WL_ITEM_DISP_C. You will need to add your fields to the customer include C_ATTRIBUTES in order to get them to display. Drill into the changing parameter of the method BEFORE_ALV_DISP to see more detail on that.
Once you have added your new fields you will need to fill them with data within that BadI method and also add the field to the displayed ALV when you go into your worklist from the front-end.

How to tackle the dataflow problem when Value Change event always triggers after another GUI event

We know that Value change event always triggers after another GUI event. Eg, the user modifies string control, the user clicks on a boolean control. Then event boolean clicked is triggered before event string control value change.
Now suppose somehow the GUI event that must happen to subsequently trigger the Value change event can potentially affect the data that Value change event is supposed to work on. How can we tackle this problem ?
For example, in a mockup application that the grand purpose is to have user entered values in a textbox logged to a file (no missing information is accepted, and there is a boolean to determine how the information is logged).
There are 2 controls, boolean A when clicked (mouse down) will load random number in text box B. Text box B is designed with event structure VALUE change which saves whatever values user enters into text box B to a log file.
There are 3 problems when instead of clicking anywhere on the front panel after modifying text box B, the user ends up clicking on boolean control A.
1. Event mouse down on Boolean control A will execute first, modifying text box B content before the user entered values in B get saved.
2. The value of boolean A can potentially affect how textbox B is loggged.
3. The value of boolean A affects how the file is logged and this is indeterminate. Somehow when running this VI with no Highlighting, the textbox B Value change event executes -before- boolean A value is updated (F to T). When running this VI with Highlighting, the boolean A value is updated (F to T) (because we click on it) -before- textbox B value change event occurs. Why is it like this ?
Now the situation I made up seems non-sense, but I believe it resembles one way or another a problem that you might run into. How would you solve this problem elegantly ?

You can set the string control to "update while typing".
Are you sure appending the log to itself is reasonable? Wouldn't it grow without bounds if the users keeps entering strings or pressing the ingore button?
Why isn't the "constant" a diagram constant instead of a control. Is the user allowed to change it?
To reset just write empty strings or a false to local variables of the controls (renit to defaults" seems a bit heavy handed).
All you probably need is a single event case for "ignore:value change" and "String" value changed", no need for the local variable..
Also add a stop button and an event for it.
You don't need the timeout event.

Af:query component added field not removed when remove icon is clicked

I have an af:query component on a popup dialog. In advanced mode when I add a field, the new field appears in the searchRegion followed by a red X remove icon. If I subsequently click that remove icon, the query refreshes, the red icon is gone, but the newly added field still remains. The query component is linked to a standard VO query executable in the bindings. There is no custom processing of the value, model, queryListener or the queryOperationListener. In all other respects the query component works fine. The only problem is a newly added field not being removed when the remove icon is clicked. Here's how the component is setup (an added wrinkle is that the query component is hosted in a Declarative Component, so that makes this code a little harder to decipher).
Does anyone know where I should start looking for this? Hopefully I don't have to implement my own queryOperationListener.

NetConnection.Connect.Closed event not triggered in Vista FF3 when in fullscreen mode

Hello Pals -
I'm trying to handle the net connection drop and provide some kind of visual cue to user. For this I'm listening to NetConnection.Connect.Closed event and when its triggered, I take further steps. The events are triggered in Vista FF3(window mode)/IE7 but in Vista FF3 full screen mode, the event is not triggered. I forcefully disconnect the network cable to see the NetConnection.Connect.Closed event is triggered.
I have following piece of code to listen to the event,

The function onStatus should be called whenever there is a status change in net connection. The events are not triggered in Vista FF3 full screen mode. Please share your views/ideas about this here. Thanks in advance. Please let me know incase more information is required.

The problem decribed as above was caused by a fragile and eventually broken soldered connection on the curcuit board. My local dealer replaced the curcuit board and everything works fine again.
I still wonder how that happend. I did not try to bend my MacBook and it did not fall of my desk.

Problem adding events to calendar - they don't show up

I have an intermittent and very strange problem which occurs when adding an event to the calendar on my iPhone 4 (Verizon - running latest iOS).
I will create an event, fill out time, date, name, etc and click done, and then the event will not show up in the calendar. Sometimes I can go through this process five or six times in a row before the event finally appears. None of the other attempts ever show up later, and they're not findable via search, so I know this isn't either me doing something dumb (like entering the wrong date) or a delay of some kind.
I am using MobileMe and the calendar in question is always a MobileMe calendar, simply because those are the only ones I use. I have not tested this with the iPhone local calendar.
Recently, I experienced the same issue when deleting an event. It took a few tries before the deletion did anything.
This occurs probably 80% of the time I create an event, and has always occurred. It NEVER happens when I create an event via a hyperlinked date/time shortcut suggestion in an email or the like.
Has anyone experienced this?

If you only have one account, it, inherently will be the default.
On the iPhone, Settings >Mail, Contacts, Calendar
Scroll down. In each section there should be a 'Default Account'. So one form Mail, Contacts and Calendar. Check that the one account you have / use is set to the default.

ive tried show, hide, and initialize... and none of them work...

Depends on what you are trying to do,
you have mouseover and mouseout and mouseclick events which you can use on the component and write code to deal with what you want to happen when you change focus. You have keypress event which would allow you to monitor tabbing between components, remember that in most events the currentTarget and target values will give you the information you need to handle component interaction.
