Problems connecting to MySql on GoDaddy
Hi!
Don't know if it's the right place to ask, but I'm stuck with a problem.
I've just bought my domain from GoDaddy.com and set a MySql database there. However, when I try to login to the server using the following info my Java application refuses to create a connection.
String urlDatabase = "jdbc:mysql://mysql server/databasename"; String user = "databasename"; // on godaddy the db and user are the same String password = "mypassword";
The same code used to connect to the database works clean and smooth on my local machine.
After I construct the connection string it throws me the following errors:
The last packet sent successfully to the server was 0 milliseconds ago. The driver has not received any packets from the server. at sun.reflect.NativeConstructorAccessorImpl.newInstance0(Native Method) at sun.reflect.NativeConstructorAccessorImpl.newInstance(Unknown Source) at sun.reflect.DelegatingConstructorAccessorImpl.newInstance(Unknown Source) at java.lang.reflect.Constructor.newInstance(Unknown Source) at com.mysql.jdbc.Util.handleNewInstance(Util.java:406) at com.mysql.jdbc.SQLError.createCommunicationsException(SQLError.java:1119) at com.mysql.jdbc.ConnectionImpl.createNewIO(ConnectionImpl.java:2257) at com.mysql.jdbc.ConnectionImpl.<init>(ConnectionImpl.java:784) at com.mysql.jdbc.JDBC4Connection.<init>(JDBC4Connection.java:46) at sun.reflect.NativeConstructorAccessorImpl.newInstance0(Native Method) at sun.reflect.NativeConstructorAccessorImpl.newInstance(Unknown Source) at sun.reflect.DelegatingConstructorAccessorImpl.newInstance(Unknown Source) at java.lang.reflect.Constructor.newInstance(Unknown Source) at com.mysql.jdbc.Util.handleNewInstance(Util.java:406) at com.mysql.jdbc.ConnectionImpl.getInstance(ConnectionImpl.java:354) at com.mysql.jdbc.NonRegisteringDriver.connect(NonRegisteringDriver.java:284) at java.sql.DriverManager.getConnection(Unknown Source) at java.sql.DriverManager.getConnection(Unknown Source) at magenta.model.database.connectionpool.JDCConnectionPool.getConnection(JDCConnectionPool.java:62) at magenta.model.database.connectionpool.JDCConnectionDriver.getConnection(JDCConnectionDriver.java:36) at magenta.main.Main.<init>(Main.java:20) at magenta.main.Main.main(Main.java:39)
I have to say that in phpmyadmin, from GoDaddy, the user appears to login to a different IP than that where the database is stored.
It says somenthing like this:
# Server: testdatabase11.database server.com (IP1 via TCP/IP)
# User: testdatabase11@IP2
Don't know if that may be the cause of my problem though.
I emailed them some hours ago but still didn't get any answer.
Any help will be highly appreciated!
I have a similar problem, I have a paid GoDaddy hosting account, ssh is enabled, and I can access the database from a php script run at home so its not an internet issue... I can't figure out what the problem is, but the program is crashing when I get to the createStatement() command... Any ideas anyone?

// Create a result set containing all data from mysql_all_table
Statement stmt = conn.createStatement();
ResultSet rs = stmt.executeQuery("SELECT * FROM *");
}PS: I'm technically doing this in android, but I think the problem is pure java...

Problem connecting to MySQL DB
I am having a problem connecting to my database with the most basic java code.
The code I have been using is at bottom of message. It compiles fine, and runs ok too, but does not connect, it gets the Exception and displays the "Canot connect ..." message. From the command line I can use the mysql client with the same user and pass I am using in the program with no problems. Any ideas on something else that might be causing it? I have already downloaded driver and include the paths in the CLASSPATH. Thank you for any help!
CODE:
import java.sql.*;
public class Connect
public static void main (String[] args)
Connection conn = null;
try
String userName = "testuser";
String password = "testpass";
String url = "jdbc:mysql://localhost/test";
Class.forName ("com.mysql.jdbc.Driver").newInstance ();
conn = DriverManager.getConnection (url, userName, password);
System.out.println ("Database connection established");
catch (Exception e)
System.err.println ("Cannot connect to database server");
finally
if (conn != null)
try
conn.close ();
System.out.println ("Database connection terminated");
catch (Exception e) { /* ignore close errors */ }Thank you so much.
I tried searching for a while without finding any answers and right after trying printStackTrace the problem becomes so clear. It was a host problem, after adding the appropriate privileges I was able to connect.
I think printStackTrace will come in handy for any debugging while developing applications.
Thanks again! -
Problem connecting to MySQL thro Applet using JDBC
Hi,
I'm trying to use an applet to connect to MySQL thro JDBC. The applet, the IE client that loads the HTML, and MySQL all reside on the same machine. But I'm getting the following error:"ClassNotFoundException: com.mysql.jdbc.Driver". But I'm able to connect using a Java application and run and display SQL query results. Any ideas are highly appreciated. Here're are the two pieces of code:
/****** Java Application *****/
import java.sql.*;
public class MySQL_App {
public static void main(String args[]) {
String url = "jdbc:mysql://localhost/test";
try {
Class.forName("com.mysql.jdbc.Driver");
catch(java.lang.ClassNotFoundException e) {
System.err.print("ClassNotFoundException: ");
System.err.println(e.getMessage());
/****** Java Applet *****/
import java.awt.*;
import javax.swing.*;
import netscape.javascript.*;
import java.sql.*;
public class MySQL_Applet extends JApplet {
JSObject win;
public void init() {
win = JSObject.getWindow(this);
public void callShowMessage() {
String url = "jdbc:mysql://" + this.getDocumentBase().getHost() + "/test";
String[] args = new String[1];
args[0] = "" ;
try {
Class.forName("com.mysql.jdbc.Driver");
catch(java.lang.ClassNotFoundException e) {
args[0] += "ClassNotFoundException " + e.getMessage() ;
win.call("showMessage", args);
}mmm i, think that may here we've 2 possibles answers:
1) Did u read about "Applet Security"? my point is that you haven't acces to your local var "path" or "classpath".
2) Maybe u didn't especificate the MySQl path in ur classpath;

Connection to MySQL on GoDaddy hosted site
I have a site set up with PHP and MySQL (by following David
Powers book - exellent). Everything works fine on my localhost, but
when I try to use the remote site to view a page containing MySQL
data all that comes up is a blank page. I have added a line of code
at the top of the page to show errors and still nothing shows -
just a blank page. I am able to see the database and tables via the
PHP admin but not via a page from my site. In the connections
folder I have changed the name of the host name on the remote site
to be what GoDaddy info page indicates. In a call to GODaddy help
they said everything is set up OK but there is a problem with my
code. I am sure that must be true - I just don't know what to do.
I appreciate your help,
thanks,
BillI was never able to set up a remote connection with GoDaddy,
that's not
say it's impossible.
My workaround (thanks, Murray) was to work with a local
connection and
at a later date export the local data to the remote DB. I
used mysqldump
from the Mac terminal to export the data.

Using D. Power's CS5 book, having problems connecting to MySQL
I posted this yesterday on another, similar thread. I'm reposting as a stand alone problem in hopes of finding an answer. Thank you for any help.
I am using Mr. Power's book to learn PHP for Dreamweaver CS5. I'm on a Windows 7 pro system. I followed the directions to install XAMPP but couldn't install b/c port 80 is being used by "NT Kernel & System". I changed the port from 80 to 88 both places in C:\xampp\apache\conf\httpd.conf (using the Apache Friends forums) which then worked.
When trying to finish up the exercise at http://www.adobe.com/devnet/dreamweaver/articles/setup_php.html#articl econtentAdobe_numberedheader_2, everything works great using http://localhost:88/php_test/ until the end. I can't get the MySQL to work.
I set everything according to the directions on http://localhost:88/phpmyadmin . I've set up a user account called 'testUser'@'localhost:88' with the password 'xyz'. I put in the information as:
Connection Name: connTest
MySQL Server: localhost:88
User Name: testUser
Password: xyz
Database: php_test
When I either click on "select" (for the database) or click "test", the "File Activity - localhost" box comes up and goes to "(Not Responding)" status within a few seconds. The box is white the entire time, the text I'm coping comes from the header bar. After a minute or two, a box comes up saying "a server timeout has occured. Possible reasons: 1. Make sure web server is up and running 2.verify ODBC DSN exists on test server". Not sure what to do from there. (If I've clicked on the "select" button by database, Dreamweaver will lock up so I have to shut down and restart b/c it keeps going back to the "File Activity" box.)
I've also tried having MySQL Server: "localhost". Then I get a MySQL error #1045 Access denied for user 'testUser' @ 'localhost' (using password:YES) - but I know the user name & password are correct. I've tried retyping both 10+ times! This is very frustrating for me, any help is much appreciated.
....I forgot to add the XAMPP is running in the background and shows Apache and MySQL running while I'm doing all of this..
Also, when I set up the user name 'testUser' for php_test, on the "host", I selected "local" then defined the name as 'localhost:88'Anyone have ANY suggestions?!?
I've installed/uninstalled XAMPP probably 5 or 6 times, done Revo uninstalls, used CCleaner to clean up my computer, rebooted and rebooted, gone down to XAMPP 1.7.3 done all the above again 2-3 times....nothing is working. I keep having the same problem when I try to link the sql to the php page.
I've also gone into the sql file and change the host to "localhost:88" which didn't change a thing. -
Problems Connecting to MySQL Database
When I run this I get the following exception:
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.mysql.jdbc.Driver

Here's the code:
package sql;
import java.sql.Connection;
import java.sql.DriverManager;
import java.sql.SQLException;
// Notice, do not import com.mysql.jdbc.*
// or you will have problems!
public class LoadDriver
public static void main(String[] args)
// actual URL edited out, but format preserved
String url = "jdbc:mysql://ipaddress";
String username = "";
String password = "";
try {
// The newInstance() call is a work around for some
// broken Java implementations
Class.forName("com.mysql.jdbc.Driver").newInstance();
Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection(url, username, password);
// Do something with the Connection
} catch (SQLException ex) {
// handle any errors
System.out.println("SQLException: " + ex.getMessage());
System.out.println("SQLState: " + ex.getSQLState());
System.out.println("VendorError: " + ex.getErrorCode());
} catch (Exception ex) {
ex.printStackTrace();
}What am I doing wrong? The library I am using is the JRE 1.5.0_06 System Library. I downloaded MyQql Connector/J and I have the com.mysql.jdbc.Driver class yet I never use it so it does not seem that I would have to import it. I think the trouble is that I need to import a new library... should I import MySQL Connector/J as a new library? Or is this not the problem at all?Ah okay, I did that. Now I get this exception when
running the program (same code as above):
SQLException: No suitable driver
SQLState: 08001
VendorError: 0
Is the format of my URL incorrect, Yes. -
Problem connecting to Mysql using JDBC
Hi Everyone,
I am trying to connect Mysql ad java applet and I am using the Mysql jdbc connector.
I Took the mysql-connector-java-5.0.8-bin.jar file and put that in the library of jdk.
Now i used the following code to connect to the database using Netbeans.
package testmysql;
import java.sql.*;
public class Main
public static void main (String[] args)
Connection conn = null;
try
String userName = "root";
String password = "";
String url = "jdbc:mysql://localhost/rpms";
Class.forName ("com.mysql.jdbc.Driver").newInstance ();
conn = DriverManager.getConnection (url, userName, password);
System.out.println ("Database connection established");
catch (Exception e)
System.err.println ("Cannot connect to database server");
finally
if (conn != null)
try
conn.close ();
System.out.println ("Database connection terminated");
catch (Exception e) { /* ignore close errors */ }
But it displays Cannot connect to database server
thoughMysql server is running.
Can anyone tell me wats the prob in this.
thanksString url = "jdbc:mysql://localhost/rpms";
Class.forName ("com.mysql.jdbc.Driver").newInstance ();
Is rpms the MySQL database?
Is the database on the default port 3306?
Is the MySQL JDBC JAR file in the classpath of the applet?
newInstance() is not required to be invoked unless using <= JDK 2.0
Replace:
catch (Exception e)
System.err.println ("Cannot connect to database server");
with:
catch (Exception e)
System.err.println (e.getMessage());

Hi all:
I've set up a LAMP (Linux-Apache-MySQL-PHP of course) server
and I'm getting the good old unidentified error when trying to
connect. The Adobe technote gives a number of seemingly ambiguous
reasons why this can happen. Has anyone else encountered this
problem and if so what is the most common cause? I have a user set
up for Dreamweaver in the MySQL database and I can connect wtih an
admin program from the same computer. The error occurs just as I
click test on the add connection dialog. I can supply more info but
I'm so new at this I don't even know what's important. Any help
would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

No, the makers of Dreamweaver give you software that works
correctly
with a properly configured setup.
> How can Adobe sit bag and let us keep going through this
stress?
I agree that the setup documentation could be clearer, but
most of the
problems that I've encountered are the result of incorrect
installation
of PHP/MySQL. That's not Adobe's responsibility. The other
main source
of problems is failure to define a testing server correctly
in the
Dreamweaver site setup.
> Following your suggestion, how does one determine a more
uptodate library when
> you have just installed the latest version of
Dreamweaver 8 and EasyPHPserver?
Dreamweaver 8 relies on a correctly configured installation
of PHP and
MySQL. It installs nothing that affects the performance of
PHP or MySQL.
Part of your problem may lie in using EasyPHP. I've just
visited the
EasyPHP site, and see that the latest version of EasyPHP uses
PHP
4.3.10, MySQL 4.1.9, and phpMyAdmin 2.6.1. The latest "real"
versions
are PHP 5.1.4, MySQL 5.0.22, and phpMyAdmin 2.8.
There is a warning in the PHP manual that none of the
"all-in-one"
packages are endorsed by php.net. The fact that EasyPHP can't
be
bothered to update to more recent versions is one reason you
shouldn't
rely on such packages.
> You still keep getting the error message that it cannot
find MMHTTPDB which is
> sitting clearly in the appropriate folders!!
If it were sitting in the appropriate folder, Dreamweaver
would find it.
It sounds as though you haven't defined your testing server
correctly.
To start off with, the site files must be in the Apache
server root. In
the testing server definition, enter the location of the
files in
testing server folder, and the correct URL in URL prefix.
On my setup, the Apache server root is C:\htdocs. So the
correct
settings for a site called "mysite" is as follows:
Server model: PHP MySQL
Access: Local/network
Testing server folder: C:\htdocs\mysite\
URL prefix:
http://localhost/mysite/
However, you may still have problems connecting to MySQL with
EasyPHP,
because it uses PHP 4.3 in combination with MySQL 4.1. You
may need to
set up your MySQL passwords using the OLD_PASSWORD protocol:
http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/old-client.html

Serious problem of jdbc-mysql connectivity using tomcat
hi everybody
i m in serious problem since last 15-20 days. i m trying hard to make the connection jdbc-mysql using tomcat with the help of a jsp test page but every time i am facing almost the similar probems listed below in detail:
to make sure that the jdrivers's .jar (mysql-connector-java-3.1.7-bin.jar) available for such connections working fine i have tried the above said connection without using tomcat....which is working fine...for this i have created a dummy database with a dummy table ..and written some queries in the .java file of my code which upon running inserts the specified values in the defined(dummy) database.
this is the confirmation that the classpath etc..are ok in regard to the mysql-connector-java-3.1.7-bin.jar
now i have placed a copy of this .jar file in to the commons/lib directory of the tomcat web server(which is suppossed to be the place for such external jars)
after doing so i have followed 2 methods :
method 1st:........
i have made aone more jar file from the following .java file....
import javax.naming.*;
import javax.sql.*;
import java.sql.*;
public class TestSQLLoad
String user = "Not Connected";
String pwd = "no pwd";
int id = -1;
public void init() {
try{
Context ctx = new InitialContext();
if(ctx == null ) {
throw new Exception("Boom - No Context");
DataSource ds = (DataSource)ctx.lookup("java:comp/env/jdbc/TestDB");
if (ds != null) {
Connection conn = ds.getConnection();
if(conn != null) {
user = "Got Connection "+conn.toString();
Statement stmt = conn.createStatement();
String q = "select name, password, id from user";
ResultSet rst = stmt.executeQuery(q);
if(rst.next()) {
user=rst.getString(1);
pwd=rst.getString(2);
id = rst.getInt(3);
conn.close();
}catch(Exception e) {
e.printStackTrace();
public String getUser() {
return user;
public String getPassword() {
return pwd;
public int getID()
return id;
after compiling it at the cmd prompt i made a .jar file from the .class of it and named it MySQLLoad.jar...then i placed it also in to the commons/lib directory where the mysql-connector-java-3.1.7-bin.jar was already placed.
then i have changed the server.xml and web.xml files from the conf directory of the tomcat as given here:
server.xml

after all this i have taken a jsp page whose code is here:
(the mysql database used is named as "testdb" and the table name is "user" which is having fields name,password and id)
<html>
<head>
<title>DB Test</title>
</head>
<body>
<%
TestSQLLoad tst = new TestSQLLoad ( );
tst.init();
%>
<h2>Results</h2>
User <%= tst.getUser() %>
Pwd <%= tst.getPassword() %>
Id <%= tst.getID() %>
</body>
</html>
and placed it in to the Tomcat 5.5\webapps\tomcat-docs\testdb directory and saved as test-db.jsp
when i run this page on the browser i get a lot may errors stating
org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Unable to compile class for JSP

Generated servlet error:

javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:802)
note The full stack trace of the root cause is available in the Apache Tomcat/5.5.4 logs.
AND NOW WHEN just to get rid of such errords i try to include a statement
<%@ page import="pkg.TestSQLLoad" %> in the jsp page code (and also place the MySQLLoad.class file in a folder called pkg and place it in the same directory where the jsp page is )and make it look like
<html>
<head>
<%@ page import="pkg.TestSQLLoad" %>
<title>DB Test</title>
</head>
<body>
<%
TestSQLLoad tst = new TestSQLLoad ( );
tst.init();
%>
<h2>Results</h2>
User <%= tst.getUser() %>
Pwd <%= tst.getPassword() %>
Id <%= tst.getID() %>
</body>
</html>
now when i run it i get the following errors:
exception

in response to the above error i have even tried placing the MySQLLoad.class directly in the testdb folder along with the jsp page without keeping it in a package named pkg and then importing directly as <@page import="MySQLLoad" %>
that too gave me the following errors

and if i do not use the statement <%@ page import="MySQLLoad"%> then also i get the errors like
org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Unable to compile class for JSP
An error occurred at line: 11 in the jsp file: /testdb/test-db.jsp
Generated servlet error:

THE 2nd Method:
in my second method i did the same changes in the web.xml and server.xml
then i took a jsp page with the following code:
<%@ page import="javax.sql.*,java.sql.*,javax.naming.*,com.mysql.jdbc.*" %>
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">

} while (rset.next());

} else{

No results from query
<%

as u said that the problem is more of a jsp page not getting compiled....
me also pointed towards the similar situation providing all the surrounding situations
which i have met and gone through
i m still thinking that problem may b in the tomcat's server.xml and web.xml as well
so better if u plz guide me in that regard

It's the following: a HTML page calls a servlet and this servlet imports the package connection javabean.
It has no problem when I establish the connection inside the servlet, with all its methods (public and private). But i want to separate the code connection from servlet.
Detail: there is no problem, using the javabean to connect to MS Access database.
I put "mysql-connector-java-3.1.12-bin.jar" file inside WEB-INF/lib application and common/lib directories.
I set the classpath:
SET CLASSPATH=%CATALINA_HOME%\COMMON\LIB\mysql-connector-java-3.1.12-bin.jar;%CLASSPATH%
I think that the servlet cannot create an instance of javabean, because passed by catch exception of the servlet init method.
But I don't know why.
Please Why?
Below there are the fragment of errors, servlet code e javabean code.
Thank you.

Having problems connecting getting results from MySQL
Hi,
I'm trying to learn some aspects of J2EE but i'm a bit
stuck with EJB and i'm not sure what is going wrong so that's why i'm here :)
What I want to do is very simple.
I have a working MySQL database "musiccatalog" and I want to query it using any sort of client so to do that
I create an Entreprise Application using netBeans 4.1
Then I create a new CMP Bean called Album.
I need something simple to test on so I have only one CMP Bean.
My Album CMP Beans contains following CMP fields albumId, artistId, name, releaseDate, insertionTime.
I also have a bunch of methods for LocalInterface: getters, setters, finders, and create() method.
I don't need to add anything or write in the code cause it is generated by the IDE (netBeans 4.1)
So my Album CMP Bean is written and I deploy project to see if all works fine. It works. My EJB-Module and Web-Module are deployed on the server (Sun Application Server 8).
Next I create a new SessionBean called AlbumFacade that will access my CMP bean.
I will have to add a lookupAlbumBean() method that will return a LocalHome interface, I also add a private variable of Type AlbumLocalHome. This variable is intialized in ejbCreate() method using the lookAlbumBean() method.
Now it's time to add a business method to my SessionBean.
I create a new buisness method public String getAlbumInfo()
public String getAlbumInfo(int idAlbum) throws javax.ejb.FinderException {
ejb.AlbumLocal albumL = albumLH.findByPrimaryKey(new Integer(idAlbum));
return albumL.getAlbumName();
so in this method i will get a reference to albumL interface and i will ask it to return the albumName of an album.
So at this moment i'm done with Beans :)
I redeply the app and it is redeplyed successfully.
Now to test my beans i write a client. It'll be a servlet.
What I need to do next is to create a ServiceLocator in my WebModule. This ServiceLocator will be used in the Servlet to lookup the remote interface of the AlbumFacade SessionBean.
MyServlet will output a form with a textfield and a submit button where the user (me) types a number.
If the servlet receives albumId parameter it'll look up the remote AlbumFacadeRemote interface and then i'll call the buisness logic of the SessionBean ( getAlbumInfo())
and at this moment I should reach what I wanted but....
The Application deploys and after I enter a number I got a vert nice StackTrace like this
type Exception report

note The full stack trace of the root cause is available in the Sun-Java-System/Application-Server logs.
and it happens when the application queries the database.
And unfortunately I don't see what may be wrong. If I do the same with a pointbasde sample database everything works fine.
I tried to connect to MySQL via JConnector and also via jdbc:odbc bridge but i got still the same error.
It drives me really mad 'coz I don't know what I do wrong.
I can connect to database. But then something goes wrong.
Can somebody give me an idea of what maybe wrong?
Thanks :)Hail!!
In fact, the problem IS in your PHP script.
$senderEmail = $_POST['eMail'];
$senderEmail = stripslashes($eMail);
The last one should be:
$senderEmail = stripslashes($senderEmail);
PS:
Next time, put your code inside formating tags...
It will be easy for people to read your question and will improve the chances that someone answer it. -
Problems with connecting to mySQL
Hi,
I'm using JSP for web development and I want to use mySQL as my database.
My problem is:
When trying to create a new instant
Class.forName("com.mysql.jdbc.Driver").newInstance();
I get the following exception:
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.mysql.jdbc.Driver
Please note that I'm using NetBeans as my IDE. The IDE itself successfully connects to mySQL and gets the schema.
Anybody helps?I get below error on excecuting the code.

Problem with connection in Mysql database in struts application
Helllo
i've just started learning struts for my new project where i'm having problem in accessing mysql database
the datasource being defined in struts-config.xml is as follows:
<data-sources >
<data-source type="org.apache.tomcat.dbcp.dbcp.BasicDataSource">
<set-property property="driverClassName" value="com.mysql.jdbc.Driver" />
<set-property property="user" value="root" />
<set-property property="password" value="" />
<set-property property="minCount" value="" />
<set-property property="maxCount" value="" />
<set-property property="description" value="A" />
<set-property property="url" value="jdbc:mysql:///dnbotind_nbotdb" />
<set-property property="readOnly" value="false" />
<set-property property="autoCommit" value="true" />
<set-property property="loginTimeout" value="" />
</data-source>
</data-sources>as i run the application
it gives the errors HTTP status 404-Servlet action is not available
Thx in advancestudent-java wrote:
it gives the errors HTTP status 404-Servlet action is not availableThis is unrelated to the datasource configuration.
HTTP 404 is a "Page not found" error. The request URL is simply wrong. Either there's a typo in the URL, or there is a typo in the servlet mapping, or the servlet is not there where you think. -
Problems with connecting my Mysql db to visual studio 2013
Hey all,
I tried connecting my MYSQL db to my visual studio 2013
after installing all db connectors from MYSQL and tried following multiple guides its still not working.
I first had VS Express but it seems the express versions don't support that so then i went to get a VS Professional 2013 (trial i think) and this didn't work either.
Does anyone know any solution other than installing connectors (reinstalled them like 2 times already) or getting another VS ?
Thanks in advanceHi Weffke,
The forum supports VS setup and installation. And I think your issue isn't related to the forum.
>>after installing all db connectors from MYSQL and tried following multiple guides its still not working.
I think your issue is more about MYSQL. So I suggest you post your issue to the related forum below.

I will move the thread to off-topic forum. Thanks for your understanding.
