Problems Debugging SRM Web Transaction

Hi,
We are running SRM 4.0 and I am trying to debug the Shopping Cart - Wizard web transaction, and I've tried the following steps:
Login as user <b>ABC </b>(developer user for SAP GUI without and access to the business transcation).
Execute transaction SICF, select service bpsc02. Click Service Data Tab and the button Settings. Add parameter ~GENERATEDYNPRO 1 to service
Execute transaction SE38, Choose Utilities -> Settings -> Debugging Tab. Check the checkbox "Actv." to activate external debugging for our business user <b>XYZ</b>.
Go to ABAP program that implements the object type BUS2121 which runs everytime we create a new shopping cart, set a HTTP-break point for business user <b>XYZ</b>.
Login with business user <b>XYZ </b>and run the shopping cart wizard.
However, whatever I do with the <b>XYZ</b> in the EB web browser - I never get any debugging mode.
Questions:
Any suggestions on what I can change?
Does this approach work with SRM 4.0?
Are there any extra settings in SICF i need to make?
What does the "Activate Debugging" do in SICF?

If you run out of ideas you can always place a loop like this

and capture the work process from sm50.

Getting problem to open Web Transaction from Portal

User is trying to open one link from portal, which is SAP transaction iView.
This calls one custom transaction from SAP R/3.
This transaction is Easy Web Transaction and GUI support for it, is SAPGUI FOR HTML.
Now the problem is, user is not able to open this link from portal. I can open this same link in my login. But this particular user can't.
Whenever he tries to open this link, gets error message, 'Transaction ZXXXX can not be called in the Easy Access Menu; see long text' and instead of opening the transaction in browser, it opens SAP R/3 GUI.
I have checked the portal content and found no error.
Also asked user to login in my system, but got the same error.
This user is able to access same link from Quality portal, but not from Production portal.,
eventhough the data in both portals is same.
What can be the error?

You need to enable SharePoint class in IE. Please follow this
blog and follow this
article.
Once, this is done you can Enable all the IE settings to load for Intranet and Trusted zone settings
Put your site in compatibility mode and trusted zone
Also, make sure that 2 versions of Office suite is not installed on the system. Eg. Lync 2013 and Office 2010 on one single machine
What happen when you by pass your TMG server. To do this we need to make host entry for URL directed to APP server IP Address.

Error in TM8: "Link to the EM web transaction could not be determined"

Hi,
I' working on SAP TM8 - EM integration. I set up all the configuration steps and the app objects/events are correctly sent to EM.
I have a problem with link from Fowarding order in TM and Web Transaction in EM: in TM SPRO you can set for the fw order type an EM web transaction started from TM.
The field is named: EM_WIT and I inserted the name of the standard web transaction configured in EM "ODT20_CONS_FO" but we always have this error message.
Do you have some ideas?

Problems while creating Web Services in development server

Hello,
We are facing problems while creating Web services . The transaction like WSADMIN, WSCONFIG are not there in development server. Its gives message u2018This transaction is obsoleteu2019.
Due to this while creating Webservice, there is and error message . Kindly guide me whats needs to be done.
We have also tried the transaction WSADMIN2 as suggested by SAP, but didnu2019t know wat needs to be done.

With your help, we were configuring WEB Service through soamanger.Due to some problem, we couldn't proceed further.Kindly guide us with the further steps.
*steps followed *
Step 1 : Entered Service Registry Parameters in WSPARAM .
Step 2 : In transaction SOAMANAGER->Technical Configuration -->System Global settings
Step3 : From u2018SE80u2019 transaction, selected the package ZHR and then right clicked to create the enterprise service -> Client Proxy (Service Producer)
We have followed steps in se80.Don't know how to proceed further.
We are unable to find the service in soamanger .How to find the service name in soamanager?

Eroor in eclipse when i have run TOMCAT in debuge mode web service debuging

hello all,
i have a serious problem with debug my web service. I set local variable in eclipse (-Xdebug -Xnoagent -Djava.compiler=NONE -Xrunjdwp:transport=dt_socket,server=y,suspend=y,address=8000). And now if i run TOMCAT in normal mode all worked fine and i run remote java application fine, but if i run TOMCAT in debug mode, eclipse in console return error:
"Error occurred during initialization of VM
agent library failed to init: jdwp
ERROR: Cannot load this JVM TI agent twice, check your java command line for duplicate jdwp options."
If anyone have this problem please tell me how to resolved it.

Eclipse is kind of a competing product so this is not the best place to ask the question. With that most will be nice enough to lend a hand. I suggest ensuring that all other instances of tomcat are stopped then try again. In the Debug perspective ensure there are no servers running with the same name as the one you are attempting to use. If all else fails ensure there are no tomcat process running if they are kill them. Finally, if you cant get it to work reboot. If still no good the Eclipse might be a better place to go.

We are using SRM 3.0 (EBP 4.0). Can you please let me know step by step procedure for Debugging SRM.
Also if anyone can throw some light on SICF. I could not understand the settings in SICF as to what it is, what are the services, what is the SICF settings doing? How to find a transaction (T code) is included in which service?

In menu Bar we have menu item Utilities > Settings > Select tab ABAP Editor > Debugging
Click check box active and select New Debugger.because of these external debugging activated.
Now go to your program and put break point where you want , then one popup will display select HTTP Break Point.
Now goto SRM EBP and do your actions ,it will stop at that break point

Disable sending HTML-Form when pressing Enter from Web Transaction

I have a web transaction and the corresponding HTML Template.
In the template I have a form with input fields and a submit button.

My problem:
When entering a value in the input fields and pressing enter the form is submitted.
Is it possible to disable this way of submitting? I wan't only submit when clicking on the submit button.
Could Javascript be a solution? But I don't want to check if all input fields are filled with onSubmit. Is there another way?

How to debug sercued web service client ?

I ususally use TCPMon or Jdeveloper Http analyzer to debug non-secured Java SE web service client application . however, how do I debug secured web service client, e.g. web service with OWSM policy enable service?
I tried and got bad certificate error since the TCPMon or Jdeveloper Http analyzer act as proxy.
BTW, I'm not able to install any such proxy on server side.

As far as i know. the only way to debug a webservice is from SE80.
open your webservice from se80,
Give your REQUEST as an XML file,(put a break point in side ur web-class)and analyis ur RESPONSE.
you are using RFC but it seams that problem is not in that function module else you can use SRDEBUG tcode to debug remote enabled function module.
If you are getting error in CALL TRANSFORMATION.
The only posibility is the data u r passing it for converting it in XML.
just post your code with CALL TRANSFORMATION or the point which is going into dump....

Deviating info in SRM backend and SRM WEB GUI

Hi! SRM4.0.
I have a user which in ship-to address (both default and at item level) has a value in the field "Region". This, however, is only the case via the WEB GUI, and not when running the txn. from SRM Backend (bbpsc03)! I am not able to find any BPs with this region-number either, not on any BPs in the system!... any suggestions?
If I remove the Region from default setting or item-level, it populates the number back to the field automatically.... Also checked SU01 etc.

<b>SRM is basically used for Web purpose. Lot of external sessions are created for the same user for data tarnsfer between SRM <-> ITS <-> SAP.. and so forth..
There is concept of Memory access - which is achieved by lots of function modules and lots of macros execute to transfer data requests hence and forth. Basically these are created for Web purpose.
Even if you logon to SRM GUI for say any transaction say BBPSC01, it's user interface is very complex and difficult to work while any user who is not having much knowledge of SAP can easily work on Web browser.
All the Services are created as Easy Web Transactions instead of Professional User Transactions in the case of SRM in order to access them easily via eb Browser.
I am not sure, In SRM GUI, incase it's not working might be due to any bug or some wrong OSS note / Configuration issues in your system when working via GUI.</b>
<u>Better to raise a message with SAP to get insights on this issue as well. </u>

Accessing SAP Web Transaction - error with DragAndRelateLayer

The Assets Business Package provides an iView which allows objects to be viewed within the iView. It also has icons to go into SAP an view and amend data SAP Web - in this case Assets which are viewed and amended by Transactions IL02 & IL03.
On clicking the icons the SAP Web transaction IL03 should show, but instead it displays:
com.sap.portal.appintegrator.sap.Transaction::Transaction/DragAndRelateLayer
There are no drag and relate targets set up so there should be no reason for this to occur.
Has anyone come across this issue and found a solution to this problem?

Any help about it?

Once the above is done:
In the same spro sub menu choose
Assign User Profiles and Web Interface Transactions to users:
Use the input help to assign the transactions and profiles to a user, depending on the process that you want the user to perform.
Eg.
Process: Delivery Tracking
Web Interface transaction: PTA10_DELIV
User Profile: PTA10_DELIV
Order Web : 1,2,3etc

Web transactions

Hi,
my workflow works perfect and users get the WIs in the Business Workplace. Now somebody wants all this to be displayed in the company´s EP and therefore I have a problem because of lack of experience with this.
I read some postings here and created a web transaction for my first step in the WF. I had to assign previously a name space and a packege in trans. SWUT to my web transaction (which shall be Z + TS + task number).
I´ve been reading some more postings but the topic is not clear to me. Once the web transaction has been generated, what´s the next step ?? or is that enough, so that the portal team calls that web transaction ??

You need to configure it as detailed in SAP Help.
If the work item call BSP or Webdynpro apps then there is no need to create new applications. Just link the Task or Object Method to your app in transaction SWFVISU in the backend. As I mentioned the default behaviour is to open WEBGUI and execute the object method but if you have a link in SWFVISU this will be executed instead of via WEBGUI.

Hi,
I will suggest you to check a few places where you can see the status
1) SM37 job log (give BIrequest name) and it should give you the details about the request. If its active make sure that the job log is getting updated at frequent intervals.
2) SM66 get the job details (server name PID etc from SM37) and see in SM66 if the job is running or not. See if its accessing/updating some tables or is not doing anything at all.
If its running and if you are able to see it active in SM66 you can wait for some time to let it finish.
3) RSMO see what is available in details tab. It may be in update rules.
4) ST22 check if any short dump has occured.
You can also try SM50 / SM51 to see what is happening in the system level like reading/inserting tables etc.
If you feel its active and running you can verify by checking if the number of records has increased in the cube.

Problems creating a web service that uses the report generation toolkit

Hi,
Im trying to develop a web service using labview 2013.
I create a html form that is correctly communicating with my labview method and part of the web service functionality is to create a report from the data obtained in the html form published.
I realized that using the report generation toolkit inside of the web service method the server cannot generate a report. ( If I run the same Vi before publishing the web service it works on the server but it doesnt work after I deploy it)
I thought that maybe Im unable to use the report generation toolkit VIs inside of the web service because Im not incluiding the (dynamic VIs labview uses when they run), I tried to add the excel dynamic library to the proyect but with no success.
I also tried to use VI SERVER to call a VI that generates the report using the report generation toolkit in the method that runs when the web service is call but it doesnt work either.
How can I deploy a web service able to use the report generation toolkit ?, how can I deploy a web service able to use VI server ?
Any help is really appreciated.

The issue you are running into is actually a limitation intended by Microsoft. They don't want windows services to be able to call into the ActiveX interface for Microsoft Office for security reasons. If you are deploying your web service to the NI Application Web Server on Windows you will run into this problem since the web server is a Windows Service.
While I haven't tested this, you may be able to work around this by packaging your Web service with a LabVIEW EXE rather than deploying to the NI Application Web server.
