Problems embedding html with jquery content

Hey muse people.
i'm currently struggling with a very annoying issue:
I have a piece of html code with jquery bits in it (it's a 360° plugin). For some reason, it doesn't seem to work when i upload to my server and try it.
I have tried the steps suggested in this thread: HELP! Adding Jquery to Muse! , but whenever i remove parts of the "JS Include" section, i get warnings and errors entering the page. The plugin works, though..
Does anyone know a workaround on this one?
Thanks in advance

Hi Abhishek,
thank you for looking into it:
Homepage  <-  this is a simple page from muse with the html code embedded - it does not work (the image should switch when you click the "type" buttons)
http://www.lichtermeile.de/simple/ <- here i just made an index.html and added the same code i used to embed as html in the muse page above
It works just fine when i remove parts of the JS Include and fully remove the "Other scripts" section that muse added to the end of each html file .. but i don't know if that's a healthy and compatible way.
This is the code:
<html>
<script src='http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.9.1.min.js' type='text/javascript'></script>
    <script src='http://code.vostrel.cz/jquery.reel.js' type='text/javascript'></script>
    <img src="images/bild000.jpg" width="400" height="500"
      class="reel"
      id="image"
      data-images="images/bild###.jpg"
      data-cw="true"
      data-frames="36"
      data-duration="6"
      data-velocity="3"
      data-speed="-0.2"
      data-brake="0.2">
    <p>
      Please choose a product:
      <button id="image1">Type 1</button>
      <button id="image2">Type 2</button>
    </p>
    <script>
      $('#image1').click(function(){
        $('#image').reel('images', 'images/bild###.jpg');
      $('#image2').click(function(){
        $('#image').reel('images', 'images2/neu###.jpg');
    </script>
    <script> $.reel.def.indicator = 5; </script>
</html>
Thank you!!!

  • Problems embedding HTML into XML with CVIXMLSetElementValue - unwanted &lt and &gt

    I'm using the CVI XML functions. When I try to insert some pre-exsting HTML as the element value with CVIXMLSetElementValue, it dutifuly converts all the HTMLangle brackets into &lt and &gt, which is NOT what I want.
    (I can protect the XML integrity by wrapping it in [CDATA[ ....]] but that does not solve the conversion issue here.)
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Ian
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    To explain a bit further, below is a code snippet and the unwanted result that I see. Does this behavior - even with CDATA - make good design sense?
    From my perspective CVIXMLSetElementValue should respect CDATA elements. Am I right? Or just biased?
    stat = CVIXMLSetElementValue (test1_element, "Hello");
    stat = CVIXMLSetElementValue (test2_element, "<p>Hello</p>");
    stat = CVIXMLSetElementValue (test3_element, "<! [CDATA[<p>Hello</p>]] >");
    // Problematic Output:
    // <?xml version="1.0"?>
    // <root>
    // <test1>Hello</test1>
    // <test2>&lt;p&gt;Hello&lt;/p&gt;</test1>
    // <test3>&lt;! [CDATA[&lt;p&gt;Hello&lt;/p&gt;]] &gt;</test1>
    // </root>

  • Problem insurting html with iWeb

    Hi,
    I would like to add this menu that I created in html (http://www.carnet2voyages.com/menu.html) to a page of my site (http://www.carnet2voyages.com) with iWeb.
    I copied the code in "insert html fragment" in iweb, but the menu is too big for my page and font-size doesn't seem to work in the head.
    fontsize seems to work in <body>, but there is a problem with the links
    Is it possible to put <head> in fragment? If not how can we work on the <head> section?
    Thank you for your help.

    Nothing wrong with the menu file. You may want to add a [DOCTYPE|http://www.alistapart.com/articles/doctype>.
    If it is to wide, eihter remove a menu item or increase the width of Accueil.html . But I displayed the menu on top of the page and it should fit.
    Any changes to the menu, like fontsize, color etc., should be done in the menu file.
    To make the menu work in a webwidget add target="_top" to every url in the menu. Otherwise a page will open in the tiny space of the menu. So it should look like this:
    +<a class="menu1" href="http://www.carnet2voyages.com/Ouest-Americain/Infos.html" target="_top">Infos</a>+

  • Problem using items with jQuery mobile

    I currently encountered two issues with the jQuery mobile template in APEX.
    - Textfield with autocomplete is not supportet and doesn't work
    - Date field should be supportet but doesn't work in most browsers
    Is there anything planned in APEX 5 to find workarounds for this? Or do we have to build our own solutions?
    My current APEX version is "4.2.2.00.11".

    Regarding the date picker - what about it doesn't work? I haven't found any issues with using date pickers on many different devices.

  • Problem embedding fonts with ButtonSkin class with SDK 4.5.1

    Hi,
    I've an external style file calling into main mobile application which has codes something like these:
    @font-face {
              src: url("../fonts/TektonPro-BoldCond.otf");
      fontFamily: TektonProBCnd;
      embedAsCFF: false;
    .buttonStyle {

      fontFamily: TektonProBCnd;
      fontSize: 24;
      skin: ClassReference(null);
    .text_listMediumText {
      fontFamily: TektonProBCnd;
      fontSize: 24;
              color:                               #666666;
    In my application the embedding font styles working properly when directly bind with any component with 'styleName' property (i.e. text_listMediumText). I've also one button something like this:
    <s:Button label="CONNECT" skinClass="actionScripts.ui.SketchButtonSkin" click="onConnect()"/>
    And the skin class is as follows:
    public class SketchButtonSkin extends ButtonSkin
      //  PRIVATE VARIABLES
                         * CONSTRUCTOR
                        public function SketchButtonSkin()
                                  super();
                                  width = 268;
                                  height = 50;
      //  OVERRIDDEN API
      // Override this function to prvent the button from drawing a background
                        override protected function drawBackground(unscaledWidth:Number,
                                                                                                                               unscaledHeight:Number):void{
      override protected function
                                  labelDisplay_valueCommitHandler(event:FlexEvent):void
                                  labelDisplay.setStyle( "fontSize", 20 );
                   labelDisplay.setStyle("fontFamily","TektonProBCnd"); // or, labelDisplay.styleDeclaration = styleManager.getStyleDeclaration(".buttonStyle");
    But I not ever could embed the font with this buttonSkin class. Any help please (?)

    Try linking a Scroller into your app.

    Ok, I couldn't see where you add the scroll pane to the content pane of the frame and without a minimum size set somewhere the frame.pack() would shrink it completely. I recreated what you wrote and put the minor changes in there.

  • Problem with jquery slide show conflict with vertical navigation menu in Firefox & Chrome

    Problem with jquery slide show conflict with vertical navigation menu in Firefox & Chrome. Works in IE. This is my first time trying to post a question - so please be kind. I am also not good with code and am finding css a real challenge after learning to design based on tables. I'm using CS5.
    The "test" page with the slide show is: http://www.reardanwa.com/index-slides.html   The same page without the slide show is http://www.reardanwa.com/
    I realize the images are not ideally sized - I'll fix those once I get the pages to function.  Maybe I need a different slide show? I would prefer a widget that I can modify to required size & postition. Again - I'm not good at building with code from scratch.
    The problem is the naviagation links that are directly next to the slide show do not work in Firefox of Chrome. They do work in IE.
    I've read about using jQuery.noConflict(); code but can't figure out the correct way to use it in my case or whether that's even part of the solution. I know my code is not well organized as I have cobbled together from various sources in an attempt to format the page the way the client wants it. Also, FYI, I will eventually try to make the page work in Surreal CMS.
    I've spent sevaral days over the last several weeks trying to solve sth slide show/navigation conflict - so any specific light you can shed will be much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Web Intelligence: Save Report as PDF and with embedded HTML code

    Hi all.
    Sorry but I'm not able to find any post about this matter, please feel free to provide links if you know existing topics about this problem.
    We created a beautiful report with HTML5 code embedded into a blank cell and we are now trying to export it in a printable format (e.g.: PDF or HTML).
    As you know (as per manual information) it is not possible to export a report with embedded HTML code and keeping it in the output (cell with embedded HTML code is rendered blank).
    My question is: is there a known workaround or an alternative solution to export the report and keep its content?
    Print screen is not a valid option :-P
    Thanks for the support or any suggestions
    Stecas

    Product limitation; vote for change on ideaplace, etc. I don't believe there is an *easy* workaround, but see:

  • Designing Embedded HTML Page with iWeb

    I designed a html page with with an embedded html page within it. It all looks fine in iWeb, but when I upload the page to the intenet and I try to view this page it does not come up properly. Although I initially see the page come up as I designed it (for a fraction of a second) it then disapears and I only see the page I embedded on my page.
    I added the following codes in HTML Snippet:
    <object data=http://www.mls.ca/PropertyResults.aspx?&vs=Residential&ret=300&curPage=PropertySearch.a spx&sts=0-0&beds=0-0&baths=0-0&bt=1%2c16%2c17&atsg=%2c&ci=cartierville&pro=4&mp= 500000-0-0&mrt=0-0-4&trt=2&of=1&ps=10&o=D width="600" height="400"> <embed src=http://www.mls.ca/PropertyResults.aspx?&vs=Residential&ret=300&curPage=PropertySearch.a spx&sts=0-0&beds=0-0&baths=0-0&bt=1%2c16%2c17&atsg=%2c&ci=cartierville&pro=4&mp= 500000-0-0&mrt=0-0-4&trt=2&of=1&ps=10&o=D width="600" height="400"> </embed> Embedd a web page within another web page. </object>
    <object data=http://www.mls.ca width="600" height="400"> <embed src=http://www.mls.ca width="600" height="400"> </embed> Embedd a web page within another web page. </object>
    As I said, the above pages come up fine in iWeb but not when I search them with Sagari.
    Can someone please help with this. Thanks, Padano

    This is the proper code :
    <iframe src="http://url.to.file.html" frameborder="0" width="500" height="500" scrolling="no" allowTransparency="true"></iframe>
    You can also use this :
    <div style="width: 650px; height: 650px">
      <script language="JavaScript">
        location.replace('../../../your files.html');
      </script>
    </div>
    Source : iframe alternative in the HTML Snippet
    And on this page you can see how to use <object> for html, png and jpg files :
    Embed content with the <object> HTML element

  • Emails with Embedded HTML not coming thru to Mail

    Hi,
    I am running 10.4.10, and I email out a newsletter with Thunderbird 2.0.0.9 so that I can embed an HTML file into it. For 2 days, I have been testing it by emailing to myself from my ISP address to my .mac address, and also to my 3 email addresses that I have thru my ISP (pop account).
    For some reason, the email never arrives in my .Mac box, but it arrives immediately in my 3 pop account boxes and views perfectly. I have used the same security settings since I can remember. I receive iTunes news in my /Mac box (which is embedded HTML right?)
    Why doesn't the email go thru to my .Mac address? I have done this almost monthly for 2 years and have had no problem up til now.
    When I log onto my \Mac web mail, the email is not there either.
    I called my ISP tech support yesterday and the nice guy tried to help, but he wasn't sure how long Apple takes to scan emails containing HTML's. He seemed to think the email could still be enroute but I sent about 14 last night and they astill haven't arrived.
    thanks

    Could Apple have recently increased its security to block unwanted SPAM, and now my computer thinks this email is SPAM?

  • Embedding javascript with xslt generated html

    hi,
    I'm using xml/xslt with xdk to generate html with embedded javascript. The solution works except that I am having problem with proper inclusion of the javascript file. I uset this line:
    <xsl:template match="/">
    <head><title>Screener</title>
    <!-- Javascript declarations -->
    <script language="javascript1.2" src="./screener.js">
    </script>
    I have tested the xslt sheet via IE5 and msxml3 processor and it works fine including loading the javascript file.
    Now using XDK and servlet it doesn't seem to retrieve the javascript file so all javascript function do not work.
    I would appreciate any help.
    thanks,
    ted

    hi brian,
    All those files are in same directory i changed the .xsl file to be i am changing at the right place.
    However, as backup i tried the following:
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" version="1.0">
    <xsl:output method="html"/>
    <script language="javascript1.2">
    <![CDATA[
    <!--
    var isNav4, isIE4;
    if (parseInt(navigator.appVersion.charAt(0)) >= 4) {
    isNav4 = (navigator.appName == "Netscape")? true:false
    isIE4 = (navigator.appName.indexOf("Microsoft" != -1)) ? true:false
    if (isNav4) { document.write("<B>It's a Navigator!</B>");}
    else { document.write("It's an Explorer!");}
    //== shared global variables
    function _alert(e)
    alert(e);
    -->
    ]]>
    </script>
    and here is the html output:
    <html>
    <head>
    <title>Screener</title>
    <script language="javascript1.2">
    &#60;!--
    var isNav4, isIE4;
    if (parseInt(navigator.appVersion.charAt(0)) >= 4) {
    isNav4 = (navigator.appName == "Netscape")? true:false
    isIE4 = (navigator.appName.indexOf("Microsoft" != -1)) ? true:false
    if (isNav4) { document.write("&#60;B>It's a Navigator!&#60;/B>");}
    else { document.write("It's an Explorer!");}
    //== shared global variables
    function _alert(e)
    alert(e);
    -->
    </script>
    </head>
    So everything is being output correctly except for <!--; is there a way around this problem? If I leave out <!-- --> it works but
    i was wondering if the present behavior is what's supposed to happen.
    thanks,
    ted

  • Document Creation error - "We're sorry. We can't open document name because we found a problem with its contents"

    Morning Friends,
    I have created a SharePoint 2010 "Site Workflow" that is designed to take information from a form and create a Word doc with the gathered information and store this Word doc in a document library.
    I am using Sharepoint 2013 with Office 2013
    I understand there are a lot of steps (19) outlined below and I can provide more information as needed but the bottom line is this, workflow successfully takes info from an initiation form, uses the info to create a Word doc. Places this Word doc in a library.
    When attempting to open / edit doc, receive error
    "We're sorry. We can't open <document name> because we found a problem with its contents"
    Details - No error detail available.
    Any info or advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Very high level view of what I have done:
    1 - Created content type called "Letters"
    2 - Added site columns " First Name" and "Last Name"
    3 -  Created and saved to my desktop a very basic Word document (Letter.docx) that says "Hello, my name is XXXX XXXX"
    4 - In the advanced settings of the "Letters" content type I uploaded this "Letter.docx" file as the new document template.
    5 - Created a new document library called "Letters"
    6 - In Library Settings - Advanced Settings, clicked "Yes" to enable the management of content types.
    7 - Then I clicked "Add from existing content types" and added the "Letters" content type
    8 - Back in the advanced settings of the "Letters" content type I selected "Edit Template" and replaced the first XXXX with the Quick Part "First Name" and the second XXXX with the Quick part "Last Name"
    9 - Created a new 2010 Site workflow called "Create a Letter"
    10 - To the workflow I added the action "Create List Item"
    11 - Configured the action to create Content Type ID "Letters" in the document library "Letter"
    12 - For the "Path and Name" I gave it a basic name of "Letter to"
    13 - The next step was to create the Initiation Form Parameters and added to form entries "First Name" and "Last Name"
    14 - I then linked the initiation form fields to the data source "Workflow Variables and Parameters" to their respective Field from Source parameters
    15 - Went back to the "Path and Name" and modified the basic name of "Letter to" to include the first and last name parameters.
    16 - Saved - published and ran the work flow.
    17 - As expected, Initiation Form prompts for First and Last Name. ("John Doe") Then click "start
    18 - Go to document library "Letters" and see a new Word document created titles "Letter to John Doe"
    19 - Go to open / edit the Word document and receive the following error
    thoughts? Any info or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    See this MS support article for SP2010 workflows and generating Word docs:
    https://support.microsoft.com/kb/2889634/en-us?wa=wsignin1.0
    "This behavior is by design. The Create
    List Item action in the SharePoint
    2010 Workflow platform can't convert Word content type file templates to the correct .docx format."
    I've had success in using SP 2013, Word 2013 (saving a .docx as the template instead of .dotx for the document library content type), and an SP 2010 workflow using SP Designer 2013.
