Problems in Adapter framework

Hi all,
When i am going to Runtime Workbench> Component Monitoring> Adapter Engine--> Adapter Monitoring.
I am not able to see my standard adapters.Instead I am able to see only JPR. I am not sure what this JPR is, May be it is Java Proxy runtime. And on clicking on JPR I am getting the following information.
Proxy Server java:comp/env/JPR4TS

The Error it is showing is in SLD connection. Can anyone please help me on this. What can be the reason for such error?
Thanks,
Yomesh

Yomesh,
Open the url :
http://<hotsname>:<portno>/mdt/amtServlet
Replace the hostname and the portno. with your own hostname and portno. You will get all the adapters which were installed. Then open the specific adapter which you require to your choice.

    Hello Barry,
    Thanks for the update.
The issue has been resolved by applying two more patches of  SPS19.
    Problem Resolution:
When we apply only one patch Adapter Frame Work Core (SAPXIAFC19P_19-20000272.SCA (Adapter Framework Core 19)), there is chance for some sort of inconsistences in the system and the interfaces relating to Adapter Frame work gets failed from reciever end(R3services).
To avoid such problems (inconsistences) we need to apply the patches which are related to that. And those are .
    SAPXIAF19P_9-20000273.SCA           Adapter Framework for SP19.
SAPXITOOL19P_10-20000274.SCA) Cumulative Patch tool for SP19
Thanks for all helping me out to resolve the problem earliest.

  • Problem In adapter framework wokbench

    Hi all,
I have a problem in order to cunsult messages from AF Monitor.
When a message is in error state how can I to correct the error for this message:
<i>Using connection AFW. Trying to put the message into the receive queue.</i>
    Thanks in advance,
               Michele.

    1. initially make sure the Queus are registred ( i think it might be)
    2. the status of the message in the queue did it errored out ( System faileure ) etc SMq2
    3. data might be stuck in the queue when the reciveiver systemn is not able to retrive that...there might be some problem in the reciver adapter also...just reativate the JMS adapter....
If the mesage in the Smq2 is failed then definatley some error in the JMS adapter side....reactivate the JMS receiver adapter...sometimes the Adapter monitoring will not show th updated status of the adapter...run the interface again and check...

  • Adapter Framework Problem

    Hi all,
I currently have a problem with the adapter framework (AF) of the exchange
infrastructure. After having configured a scenario including an inbound and an
outbound SOAP adapter I'm not able to send SOAP messages to XI via the AF. The
AF seems to be not running as i always get an internal server error when
    sending a SOAP message.
When I view the AF in the component monitoring area of the runtime workbench
I see that the self-test of the AF fails. I the detailed list of the self-test
the test for the existence of a user fails. However the user "XIAFUSER" that is
set in the configuration of the AF exists on the Web AS.
Does anyone of you have an idea why the AF self-test fails and why the AF seems
    to be not running?
    Thanks for you help
    Christian

    Hi Bill,
I tried to logon to ABAP with XIAFUSER. Everything works fine. I haven't tried any other scenario yet.
What I just noticed is, that when I view the list of services running on the J2EE engine is see the following list:
    SAP XI Adapter: BC
    SAP XI Adapter: File
    SAP XI Adapter: JDBC
    SAP XI Adapter: JMS
    SAP XI Adapter: Mail
    SAP XI Adapter: Marketplace
    SAP XI Adapter: RFC
    SAP XI Adapter: XI
There is no SOAP adapter listed. Maybe this is the reason for the problems I experience...

  • Message status "Holding" - Message monitoring adapter framework

    Hello,
We have some messages with the status "Holding" in a queue in the message monitoring in the adapter framework.
Normally you have to restart the first message of that queue. The message with the status "system error". Unfortunately this message is not available anymore because it is older than 30 days and the retetion period is 30 days.
I already read the blog about "[How to deal with stuck EOIO messages in the XI 3.0 Adapter Framework|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs;jsessionid=(J2EE3417100)ID1887311350DB01819286872323159351End?blog=/pub/wlg/3566]"
The blog does not mention what to do when the first message (sequential number) is not available anymore.
Is it possible to restart the messages in the queue in that case?
    Thanks
    Kind regards
    Frank

Unfortunately this message is not available anymore because it is older than 30 days and the retetion period is 30 days.
I assume that the message was deleted.....in this case the next message in the queue will be blocking the queue....so try resending this message....even the blog mentions that you either solve the error or cancel the message....so now start from the second message....if possible solve the error for this message....if not possible to resolve then cancel it so that rest of the queue gets processed
    From the blog:
Now the erroneous message is the first message in the display. You can look at the error reason, try to fix the problem and
resend or cancel the message to release the queue.
    Regards,
    Abhishek.

  • PI 7.11: Adapter Framework caught exception: null

    Hi,
    I've a ABAP Proxy - to  - SOAP scenario.
    Message mapping works.
In the communication channel monitor I get the following error:
MP: exception caught with cause com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException
    Adapter Framework caught exception: null
In the log viewer in NWA I see the following two messages:
Marked transaction for rollback for meesage 516e304f-b083-8e3e-e100-00000a01095f(INBOUND). Reason: <null>

The payload for calling SOAP receiver looks like that:
    <m:setEmployee xmlns:m="http://test.com" xmlns:fo="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Format">
             <ns1:e xmlns:ns1="http://test.com">

          </m:setEmployee>
When I copy this payload into SOAP UI (surrounded by <soapenv:Envelope>, <soapenv:Header> and <soapenv:Body>), the WS call works.
The URL for the receiving CC should be ok (same as in SOAP UI), the "Do not use SOAP Envelope" checkbox is not flagged.
What can be the reason for that error message?
    Thanks in advance!

I've now changed the setting of the external definition to "Using RPC style", but I'm still running into the same error than before:

The payload of the CC looks exactly the same than before:

              <department>123</department>
              <division>ABC</division>
              <employee_Category>PERM</employee_Category>
              <employee_Code>1000</employee_Code>
              <employee_Id>1000</employee_Id>
              <employee_Status>ACTIVE</employee_Status>
              <first_Name>A</first_Name>
              <last_Name>B</last_Name>
              <location>ABC</location>
              <position>123</position>
         </ns1:e>
    </m:setEmployee>
If I copy that payload (without <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>) into SOAPUI (surrounded by SOAP envelope), the WS call works without any problem.
Why doesn't it work from PI?
    Another question:
Why is it putting <ns1:e> into the payload of the new interface and <ns0:e> for the existing interface (which is working, see Re: PI 7.11: Adapter Framework caught exception: null)?
Could that be the reason why data is not sent properly to the SOAP receiver?

We post a note about this problem on the OSS, the content of the note is:
We have installed the Seeburger's FTP adapter in SAP XI.
    A communication Channel is calling this adapter nd executing a module called localejbs/Seeburger/solution/generic-edi. When the adapter is called the next error is shown;

  • Adapter Framework caught exception - 401

    Hi,
I am trying to use NTLM authentication using Axis adapter in PI 7.1 SP7 but getting 401 error.
Axis adapter works for Basic auth.
SAP Note 856597 talks about giving PI user security role xi_adapter_soap_message. Haven't found the equivalent navigation of visual admin in NWA.
    Details from message monitoring
Information Axis: getting handler trp of java:com.sap.aii.adapter.axis.ra.transport.http.HTTPSender
Error Axis: error in invocation: (401)Unauthorized

    Hi guys,
Even the message being old, there are some of you that may want a hint on how to solve this problem.
First of all, please refer to the generic description of the error that may help one of you:
    401 Unauthorized
Description: The request requires user authentication
    Possible Tips:
u2022 Check XIAPPLUSER is having this Role -SAP_XI_APPL_SERV_USER
u2022 If the error is in XI Adapter, then your port entry should J2EE port 5<System no>
u2022 If the error is in Adapter Engine
u2013then have a look into SAP note- 821026, Delete the Adapter Engine cache in transaction SXI_CACHE Goto --> Cache.
u2022 May be wrong password for user XIISUSER
u2022 May be wrong password for user XIAFUSER
u2013 for this Check the Exchange Profile and transaction SU01, try to reset the password -Restart the J2EE Engine to activate changes in the Exchange Profile After doing this, you can restart the message
Alternatively, ensure you maintain the correct password for all the service users according to one of the notes
below, taking into account your system version:
    PI 7.1:
#999962 - PI 7.10: Change passwords of PI service users
    XI 7.0
#936093 - XI 7.0: Changing the passwords of XI service users
    XI 3.0
#721548 - XI 3.0: Changing the passwords of the XI service users
    Hope I could helped.

  • Adapter Framework File Adapter Message on hold

    Hello,
we have a problem with the Adapter Framework and their the File Adapter / Messaging System.
We process one HR IDOC from R/3 through XI and send it to 7 file adapters. The SXMB_MONI tells us that all messages have been processed without errors and when you go to the RWB and use the Message-Monitoring many messages are on status HOLD. XI makes the message EOIO once you have multiple receivers and something blocks the messages in the AF. Is there a way to delete the AF queues like the XI queues with SMQ1 or SMQ2. It looks like SAP had duplicated the SMQ business in JAVA but I found no documentation how to clean up queues or what to do if the get stuck.
    Thanks
    Stefan

    hi,
you can try question 3 adapters section
    on the XI FAQ:
    /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/06/28/xipi-faq-frequently-asked-questions
    to see adapters in RWB
but if you see them when you do it then
it means that this XI's configuration was not complete
so you may expect further problems

  • Capability of File Adapter Framework in OSB

    Hi,
Has anyone ever used the file adapter framework within Oracle Service Bus to capture data / transform using XSLT and then publish that data out to a service?
Would greatly appreciate any experiences in this area, I know that this functionality exists in SOA suite and can be enhanced with BPEL.
If anyone know of any limitations of OSB in this area that would also be good to know.
    Thanks
    K

    Hi,
There's no problem in doing this. You can use a file adapter or the file transport.
When using the file transport, it is possible to convert a flat-file structure to XML (and vice-versa) by using MFL. For more information on MFL: [http://biemond.blogspot.com/2008/12/flat-file-to-xml-with-oracle-service.html]

    I have resolved this error.
If you are facing the same error then follow the following steps:
    1. Shutdown the Oracle SOA Suite.
    2. Copy sapjcorfc.dll into C:\WINDOWS\system32
3.Edit oc4j-ra.xml located at below locations
    a. OracleHome\j2ee\home\application-deployments\default\jca-app-adapter
    b. OracleHome\j2ee\home\connectors\jca-app-adapter\jca-app-adapter\META-INF
    by editing the values
    <config-property name="AdapterName" value="SAP"/>
    <config-property name="Config" value="SAP_Target_You_Have_Created_in_iaexplorer"/>

  • Adapter Framework Archiving Failed

    Hi!
We are running XI 3.0 SP14, the J2EE WAS 6.40 Adapter Framework archiving is not working.
Table XI_AF_MSG that is accessed via JDBC as a Resource on WAS is oversized and can´t get archived, so it keeps growing.
As it is SP14, archiving should be handled by the DAS or Data Archiving Service available as a J2EE Container Destination (service) (this is an assumption, based on online documentation).
Deletes are completed OK and state is green, however, archiving jobs are not executed and are displayed with a red circle, job log says error is UNKNOWN.
Looking at the J2EE server logs I found an exception involving the J2EE_GUEST user, and a 401 response. I have no clue as about what is going on. Is there something that has been misconfigured? Maybe an authorization profile missing?  I would really appreciate your help, there is no information available on logs or http responses so any clue will help me a lot.
    Exception comes out as follows:

  • Exception in Adapter Framework

    Hi,
I'm receiving the following error from my Adapter Framework:
Exception caught by Adapter Framework: Cannot lookup the ra connectionfactory. Reason: Path to object does not exist at XXXXX, the whole lookup name is deployedAdapters/XXXXXX
This error occurs in the 'delivering' step from Integration Engine to Adapter Enging: messages continue staying in that status. When I restart the Adapter Engine, the message are set to System Error, so I can work around it, but I'm more interested in why this error occurs.
    I'm using a XI 3.0 system, SP 17.

    Hi
the adapter has to register in JNDI with the name "deployedAdapters/sample_ra/shareable/sample_ra" as you have specified in ra.xml.
check whether  the   SPIManagedConnectionFactory, java file and the SampleRA.xml file, the JNDI name in both the files is deployedAdapters/sample_ra/shareable/sample_ra.
    The JNDI name should be:
    deployedAdapters/com.sap.aii.adapter.sample.ra/shareable/com.sap.aii.adapter.sample.ra
Check the name in NWA: Problem Management -> JNDI Browser.
    Adjust your adapter metadata accordingly.
    Thanks

  • Inconsistence Adapter Framework

    Hallo,
sometimes i have problem with the adapter framework; i become problems with the inconsistence. Have anyone a solution for this problem?
    Thanks in advance,
    Frank

    Hi Klaus,
Thanks for your reply, that's greatly apreciated!
Now, I checked the "Technical System Browser" as explained but everything seems to be OK as can find 2 of them (for the XI systems we have)
    Here's what we have :
    Adapter Engine on dxi.xidev         | XI Adapter Framework         | Domain xidev         |               | 01/25/2006 12:37
    Adapter Engine on pxi.xiprod        | XI Adapter Framework         | Domain xiprod.xxx.be |               | 01/25/2006 12:41
    Domain xidev                        | XI Domain                    | Domain xidev         |               | 01/25/2006 11:49
    Domain xiprod.xxx.be                | XI Domain                    | Domain xiprod.xxx.be |               | 01/25/2006 12:41
Integration Server on xidev         | XI Integration Server        | Domain xidev         | DXI on xidev  | 01/25/2006 11:33
    Integration Server on xiprod.xxx.be | XI Integration Server        | Domain xiprod.xxx.be |               | 01/25/2006 12:41
RWB on dxi.xidev                    | XI Runtime Management Server | Domain xidev         | DXI on xidev  | 01/25/2006 12:38
    RWB on pxi.xiprod                   | XI Runtime Management Server | Domain xiprod.xxx.be |               | 01/25/2006 12:42
How does it come that the domains we have here, are not syntically the same. I mean "why do we have a full domain name for xiprod and not for xidev"? Is it possible to adapt this?
By the way, we can't get the adapter engine running. When having a look at the "Integration Monitoring - Runtime Workbench", we can see that something goes wrong :
<b>Cache notification from Integration Directory failedError when accessing the System Landscape Directory</b>
    <i><b>Detailed Error Message</b></i>
    <b>No SLD elements of type SAP_XIAdapterFramework found</b>
    Any idea?
