Problems keep color same in picture in Photoshop CS6?

Whenever I zoom in, in Photoshop CS6 the color changes between the orignal photo color, to a more contrasted color, and then back. It happens when I also use the lasso tool, patch tool, zoom, etc. I would just like help making this go away. Any information would be helpful. I've included a video, with a random image. P.S The effect happens with any picture in RBG, but goes away when I switch to CMYK. It also happnes If I type in text.

This means either your card or driver are not up to the task. Find the make and model of the card and go to manufactors website and download the latest driver version. Win8 is still new so all the fixes are not in yet with drivers. Good luck.
Some with Win8 are experiencing screen flickering which MS and GPU manufactors are aware of. Seems to be more prevalent in ATI cards.

Don’t know if Reader has this, too, but in Acrobat one can check under Document Properties.
I can convert and place the file in Photoshop CS6.
I would recommend trying the usual trouble-shooting routines and if nothing helps un-installing, running the Cleaner and re-installing Photoshop. (After making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved to s secure location.)

Gray color prints as brown using Photoshop CS6

I reformatted my computer and installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 service pack 1 and installed Photoshop CS6 and when I print my work the color gray prints as brown and the yellow green has a shade of brown in it as well so its darker. I did calibrate my monitor, I use sRGB IEC61966-2.1 as ICC profile and RGB in working spaces, and US Web Coated v2 as CMYK. I changed the mode to CMYK 16 bit and proof setup to Working CMYK. In printer setting I set the color handling to Photoshop manages colors and set it to hardproofing. I did match it with the color management in display settings. What am I missing? What else should I do? I think my Epson T1100 printers are fine because they both print the same color gray as brown so it must be in Photoshop where the problem is, but I'm stuck now and don't know what to do. Please anyone help me? This is frustrating..Before I reformatted I was using Photoshop CS5 and my prints are fine but when I reformatted and installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 and Photoshop CS6 the printing problems starts, I reinstalled Photoshop CS5 but the print outs still has problems, color gray prints as brown..By the way, I print on white bond papers and white box boards, so color blending is not the case I'm sure..If anyone have anymore solution, please let me know? Thank you very much for taking the time to answer my questions. I did what you suggested. I also downloaded and used the WhackedRGB image and its profile but the result of the print out didn't change. The gray still has brown or reddish brown tint on it. Other colors are off as well. Here's what I did with the settings:

I did try to use other document profiles and printer profiles to ther documents, experimented a bit but this is the best print result I came up with, with regards to color accuracy, as you can see, the gray is way off and also the other colors..I don't know if there's a bug in PS CS6 or something. I reformatted twice already and installed everything with fresh copy and still this persist..
Another thing, when I tried to print the Whacked document for the first time this window popped up, I just clicked ok and then ctrl+P again and the print settings appeared with no problem and so I was able to print it..But does this mean CS6 is not compatible with my printer and I have to use previous version of Photoshop? But I did try reinstalling PS CS5 but the prints were the same as with CS6..I'm confused.

Is it that while creating a path you want the thin lines, handles, etc. to be a different color?
Or is it that after you create your path you want to stroke it with a color? It IS possible to stroke a path, and even to have an automatic Layer Stroke on a path that's any size/color shape you want. Example:

Problem coordinating between Lightroom 5 and Adobe Photoshop CS6

I have Lightroom 5 and Photoshops CS6. I use Mac OS 10.9.3 as an operating system. They have worked fine together until tonight. I was trying to edit a photo from Lightroom in Photoshop. I kept getting and error message that there was a configuration error 16. It asked me to uninstall and reinstall Photoshop. After I uninstalled, I tried twice to reinstall and it would get to 99% and then indicated that it quit. How do I fix these problems and why am I getting them all of the sudden?

I've never seen any evidence that Photoshop will remote OpenGL operations across an RDP link.
What functionality does a program like the RealTek OpenGL Extensions Viewer report is available to the remote session? The Microsoft software OpenGL (1.1) maybe?

Problem with color Epson 2200 on Tiger, Photoshop 7

I'm running Photoshop 7 on an iMac G4, 768 mb RAM, with an Epson 2200 printer. I've been using the same color management system with good results for 3 years. I hooked up an Epson R200 to print CD covers, and it caused my 2200 driver to crash. I reinstalled the driver, and now all my ICC profiles are messed up.
I've reinstalled the driver from the original disk, the updated driver from Epson, and the new ICC profiles from Epson. I'm getting a serious magenta cast on all of these, including ICC profiles I tried downloading from Ilford. I've contacted Epson, but all they told me was how to install the drivers, which I already knew. I responded back to them with a detailed description of the problem, but they never responded. I also took another Mac with Tiger and still have the same problem. I suspect that even though I've got color management turned off, the new Epson drivers are ignoring it and color processing anyway.
Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

Problem with Color Print in Illustrator. Photoshop fine. Epson R2400

OK.. I’ve spent all morning trying to troubleshoot bad color on Illustrator CS4 to Epson R2400 and can’t find a solution. Mac 10.5.8
I’m getting off color (but a neutral grayscale) when printing to from AI 14.0 to Epson Stylus Photo R2400. This just started today. The graphic prints fine in Photoshop.
The main color in logo is R-125, G-69, B-73 in sRGB editing space. It prints very magenta from AI to Epson 2400. Prints fine to my HP laser and fine to PDF.
I’m not new to Color Management and I’ve double-checked all the usual suspects.
Recalibrated Monitor
Re-installed Epson print driver (v6.57)
checked ink nozzles
Checked color settings (synched in Bridge to NA Gen Purpose 2)
checked proper document and printer/paper profile are selected (sRGB to Matte HW)
checked Relative Colorimetric
in Printer dialog checked proper Media Type selected (Epson Matte HW)
and that Color Settings were set to No Color Management.
trashed AI Preferences.
I’m using Epson Inks and Papers.
Same image prints fine from Photoshop using same color settings.
any other ideas?

Yea! Working today. One of these things did it, I think. (unfortunately, I did not test after each one)
Recalibrated monitor, again
Trashed Epson Printer Utility from its Utilities folder
Reinstalled Epson driver, again
Deleted all my Presets in the OS Print Set Up dialog box.
So, one of those things helped, or benevolent weekend gremlins.

I have received the Moshi iVision 15'' and installed today.
Result: satisfactory
Reflection is reduced with 50% or more.
Screen protector is still a little glossy which is necessary for this type of display.
Reflection grains are very small. Texture is soft.
Sticky side is only on the black part.
Installation is pretty hard.
Here are 2 factors that makes it hard:
1. The screen protector is smaller than the display area with about 2 mm bottom side and 1.5 mm on the sides.
If you arrange nicely the screen protector on the left it will look ugly on the right.
Centering the protector will take you time and together with time you get lint. A lot of it.
I used to clean the display with water and hand sanitizer.
To remove the lint from the sticky side I've used to tap that section with a piece of scotch tape.
2. Lint in the air
Accesories that come with it are:
1 piece of cheap carboard that suppose to be used for arranging the screen protector
1 piece of cloth for cleaning the display - pretty good quality
What it should have to be better:
1. Tape for removing the lint on the sticky side
2. A better quality card for arranging the screen protector
3. For such a big surface you would need an antistatic wet tissue that should come beside the provided cloth.
If I would recomend this to somebody ? Yes.
Only if you can take the time and patience to install it.

Problem using Dust and Scratches filter in Photoshop CS6

Using the 64-bit extended CS6 version under Win 8/64. Am I not using the filter correctly, or is this a limitation regarding its use?
I duplicate a layer and apply the filter. I then add a white mask and invert it to get black. I change the layer blending mode to either darken or lighten, depending on the requirements at hand. I use the paint brush to remove the spotting and it works. However, if I add a new layer and then go back to the Dust and Scratches layer, the paint brush further modify the layer. I need to create a new layer and start all over again.
I am finding that if I convert the layer for smart filter use, I cannot use the paint brush. The layer needs to be rasterized, again.

I am painting with a white brush - onto a black mask. The purpose is to only apply the Dust and Scratches filter to specific areas.
The brushing will apply the filtered effects when I create the layer, apply the filter, and apply the black mask. The brushing no longer works if I create a new layer and then return to the layer with the Dust and Scratches filter. The problem is similar, I think, to if one were applying an effect with the history brush, close the file, and reopen it. The history brush won't be helpful because the history is lost.. In this case of applying the filter to a layer with a mask, the history brush isn't used and I would have guessed that the layer would allow re-use of the filter and brush.

I have started having problems with the png dialogue box in Photoshop cs6

When I go to save the image I am working on, the PNG Dialogue box is black , I mean that the radial and submit buttons show up but the rest is just black so i cannot see exactly what I am doing. I cannot work out how to fix this and would really like to avoid a total reinstall of my CS6 package.
This issue does not happen using the PSD or JPG save options either so i am baffled.

I am using OS X Mountain Lion. I really dont want to have to reinstall anything. An OS Reinstall is really no less annoying than a Reinstall of the CS6 package. Sadly it looks like this may be the only way forward. Just hope I can do it without losing too much from the machine as it is my work machine.

Photoshop cs6 problems with win8

Problem with cs6 on windows 8 64bit error.
Could not open a scratch file the file is locked...
I change the scrath file in photoshop properties to another place. and some error accured.
Also while open it as administrator it's work but, no Drug and Drop working.
Also I Install Update 13.0.1

I am willing to say definitively at this point that there is no systemic problem with Photoshop CS6 and WIndows 8 x64 out-of-the-box, though that's not to say there aren't classes of problems with particular video drivers or on systems where the Windows 8 system was installed as an upgrade to an existing system - or even as a clean install but with disk volumes left over from a prior system.
That last scenario is the one I see causing the most problems - that of having a disk drive formatted under a prior version of Windows, which would have had a different Security ID, and not setting the ownership and permissions so as to allow access by the current username.

Photoshop CS6 file saved thumbnail makes file blank??

I've recenlty seen this problem, the file i process in adobe photoshop CS6 comes blank and the previous thumbnail also disappear. I've checked the settings in finder and adobe photoshop cs6 but i didn't change anything there. Can any one help??
i need to submit wedding pictures but blank thumbnail makes me lost track of pictures. I'm attaching a picture below, the first row is what i've processed with adobe photoshop cs6 and the thumbnail disappeared.

I have to make a lot of color corrections because this is film taken from the early 40s to the early 50s. I tried doing it in Avid Studio, Pinnicle studeo and Corel Draws Video Studeo which is what Avid Studio became. None of them alow for the amount of correction allowed in Photoshop. I already owned Photoshop 5 so I upgraded to 6 to take advantage of its advances in video. The plan was to break the converted files up in smaller peices so that Photoshop could handle it and use Premier Pro perhaps to do other post production editing. The origional avi files are a movie about 1 hr and 15 min long and another one about 45 min long. The CODEX is MJPG in avi.
