Problems making a simple chart

Im sure this is quite simple but im trying to produce a simple chart with an x and y value. The x and y's are columbs from a table.
I have 2 problems:
Firstly it makes a chart with 2 lines, 1 of which is just along the x axis.
2 the x axis isnt proportional. The x values are 0.0016, 0.0004, 0.0002, 0.0001 they will be spaced the same distance apart so producing a curved line instead of a straigh line that it should.
Any help would be really good

I'm glad that my answer was helpful. Sorry I didn't have time to elaborate at the time.
Scatter is for plotting values vs. values. All the other chart types plot a value vs. a text label. New in iWork 09, you can connect the points in a scatter chart, and you can add a best fit curve. In an 09 Scatter chart you can have multiple series, as with 08, and also as with 08, you can have only one Y-Axis. Unfortunately the 2-Axis chart option is a Category Chart.

If you're having problems making an extension for Photoshop CS6 with Configurator 3..

I was going to ask for help here, but before posting I decided to try one last experiment to see if it would work. Yesterday I tried making a simple one button panel inside Configurator and exporting it to Photoshop CS6. I put it in the plugins\panels directory. Start Photoshop, nothing... I tried looking at how to create an extension manually and signing it in order to install it with Extension Manager, and my brain nearly melted.
So today I tried installing an older version of Photoshop (CS 5.5). The difference was that I selected Photoshop CS5/CS5.5 in the create new panel dialog in Configurator instead of CS6. Export Panel..It worked! Then I tried the same thing for my install of Photoshop CS6, selecting Photoshop CS5/CS5.5 as before in Configurator's dropdown menu. Success!
I hope this helps anyone who was stuck in the same place as me.

Hmm, okay I just had a problem. I used an swf with a hue strip made in actionscript inside an swf loader in configurator. Tried exporting this to PS CS6's panels folder, and to my surprise it complete broke all of the other extensions in that folder. (ie. Photoshop refused to load any other non-defualt extenstions at all just because one was borked.). Very very stupid. So I went back to PS CS5, everything was working perfectly. Then I closed it and went back to PS CS6, and suddenly my test panel was working again. I have no idea why PS CS5 "fixed" PS CS6, it doesn't make sense really. I think I'll be going back to CS5 to do all my work as CS6 is really buggy about extensions, and I really need a color wheel for painting.

Problem w/saving simple image as .png

Hello: Level: Newbie'ish OS: Win7 64bit PS: CS6
I have been making a simple image of a 300 by 100 rounded rectangle and then adding various layer styles. Basically I am makeing mobile headers which will be used for mobile websites.
Today I was reviewing a few that I have made and noticed that when I open them in their .png format and then create a selection around one (Ctrl + Click) that the lower right coner is not being selected as rounded but as a point and so when I copy and then paste it into a new document it has three rounded corners and one somewhat visible pointed corner. ?? ??
The file has a BG layer and two shape layers (or sometimes just one shape layer). I select the layers and then merge them together and turn off the BG layer beofore I save them for the web. I have also tried just saving the file as a .png w/out merging the layers but no matter how I go about saving the file(s) most of the time one corner is saved w/that annoying and imperfect sharp corner.

any way, i figured out my problem. i hadn't realized that i accidentally clicked the outer glow option and it was so faint that i couldn't see it all that well or actually ~ at all until i went back through the LS ...
so, when i would save the image (mobile header) it was including or making room for the outer glow
funny how something so simple can be overlooked.

I also have tried many other options and procedures, but each time the playlist that ends up on the player has only a few of the songs that I put on the play list. all the songs do exist on the player, but seems to randomly select only a small subset of the songs - example: 6 original, 2 get on the list, 30 on teh original, 6 get on the player's play list.
The odd part is if I go back to the player at some later time and connect via creative central, the correct playlist displays on the PC. However, is still wrong (truncated) on the player. So it seems to remember the correct play list, but just does not display correctly on the player.

?After many attempts? (like 6) with creative support to convince them this was a software bug, the end state response was to send the player back. Using better judgement, I waited for a new software release and indeed the problem was fixed in a subsequent release of the software.
My main frustration here was they seem to not want to escalate problems quickly to the right level of technical support that actually understands the software/debugging? vs hardware? and can look through a set of debugging steps and tests I sent in the first notes and realize it is not something hardware related. Even after citing my degrees in computer science/electrical engineering and having designed/debugged systems much more complex than this, all I got was simple procedural steps to repeat or send it back, it is a hardware problem. Ug!

hello, there's a general regression in firefox 27 that won't allow files to download directly into a root drive. please try to create a subfolder (like ''E:\Downloads'') and set this as default location for downloads...

Problems with a simple stop watch program

I would appreciate help sorting out a problem with a simple stop watch program. The problem is that it throws up inappropriate values. For example, the first time I ran it today it showed the best time at 19 seconds before the actual time had reached 2 seconds. I restarted the program and it ran correctly until about the thirtieth time I started it again when it was going okay until the display suddenly changed to something like '-50:31:30:50-'. I don't have screenshot because I had twenty thirteen year olds suddenly yelling at me that it was wrong. I clicked 'Stop' and then 'Start' again and it ran correctly.
I have posted the whole code (minus the GUI section) because I want you to see that the program is very, very simple. I can't see where it could go wrong. I would appreciate any hints.

Although I appreciate this information, it still doesn't actually solve the problem. I can't see an error in the logic (or the code). The fact that the formatting works most of the time suggests that the problem does not lie there. As well, I use the same basic code for other time related displays e.g. countdown timers where the user sets a maximum time and the computer stops when zero is reached. I haven't had an error is these programs.
For me, it is such a simple program and the room for errors seem small. I am guessing that I have misunderstood something about dates, but I obviously don't know.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions. To do this, click here and pick a method; if that page doesn't list one for your country or you're unable to call, fill out and submit this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

Problems with the line chart - dashboard

I have a problem in the line chart in the dashboard SP4.
Clicking on the legend of the graphic , the serie (line) disappears. Clicking again in the legend, the line appears but the markers don’t.
Someone knows how to solve this problem?

This is definitely the tool problem.
Might be you can try restarting xcelsius or your computer (sometimes it works, really !)
Just out of curiosity, why do you want to clink on legends.

I have a document in CS4 that I'm exporting to pdf. When I create a hyperlink in CS4 to a file, I am getting the message when I click the link in the pdf ' Cannot find the file:C%5Document' etc.
When creating the link, File is selected, Shared Destination is unchecked & checking the link using 'Go to Destination' shows the link works.
In Acrobat 9 Pro, I've checked the properties of the link - when exported from CS4, the Link Properties - Actions are 'Open a web link' 'file:C:\Documents%20'etc whereas if the link is created in Acrobat the link properties are ' 'Open a file' 'file:C\Documents and Settings' etc, and it works.
Is this a bug or am I missing something?

I'm only getting that to work with the catalogue & sample in the same folder. In any case from a useability standpoint using URL brings up the Security Warning & putting the catalogue pdf in the same folder as 100 sample pdfs makes it more difficult to locate.
I'm at a loss to understand why the functionality of creating a link in InDesign cannot be the same as Acrobat; where you can select 'Open a file', browse to that file and the relative links are maintained when you burn to a disc. InDesign looks as if it will do the same but when you select File as the link & browse to the destination file but InDesign treats it as a URL & brings up the the web link cursor in the finished pdf. That still looks like a bug to me.

Now both routers remove the loopback, and the interface tunnel 0 change the tunnel source to "tunnel source " tunnel works perfectly, the problem is when I have to use the loopback. Spanning simple chart across pages

Hi,
I want to clean up some formatting on a report with a simple chart plotting a formula result against customer names.
The first chart contains the top 15 customers sorted top down using the Top N =15 option in chart group sort.
However, how can I display the next 15 customers on the second page?
Is it easier to do this via subreports? or if there a function that I can use?

thanks Panda. Just to clarify.
I have about 100 customer ids, sorted against a rating value high to low.
I put this in the section expert as a formula for next page after for the section.
nothing seemed to happen.
Did I place formula in correct location? I couldn't find an appropriate location in Charting options - I haven't got my head around why I would put this formula in section expert yet and not mention the chart.
I am running crystal xi rel2.

Making a simple ticking clock in AS3 with .as files

I'm making a simple clock in AS3 as seen on youtube (Doug Winnie) but I want to put the code into separate .as files. This is what I have so far but I keep getting the error 1046: Type was not found or was not a compile time constant: secondHand. But it's saying that the location of the error is Line 3 of Clock, but secondHand isn't even mentioned here?

I continuously have a problem making calls where I have to activate then cancel the speaker phone button. Normally happens when calling landline phones but sometimes mobile. Any fixes?

I continuously have problems making calls from my iphone 4S. When I place a call and press send, you hear nothing until I turn on and off the speaker button and then you hear the ring tone or the person answering. This happens normally on land line calls but does occur when calling mobile phones somethimes. Is this a common problem or is there a fix for it? Thanks
