Problems While Accessing ASM In Oracle 11.2.0.1

Hi All,
In my UAT database I could see all my database services are up and running.
oracle@blrvqorasdb01:ARSUATDB [home/oracle] > ps -ef|grep pmon
oracle 4409 3229 0 09:34:57 ? 0:12 ora_pmon_ARSUATDB
oracle 10111 9608 0 15:59:59 pts/6 0:00 grep pmon
oracle 4053 3229 0 09:31:40 ? 0:08 asm_pmon_+ASM
When I logged in to my ASM profile as a sysasm I am getting the below error:-
oracle@blrvqorasdb01:+ASM [home/oracle] > sqlplus "/ as sysasm"
SQL*Plus: Release 11.2.0.1.0 Production on Sun Dec 16 16:08:47 2012
Copyright (c) 1982, 2009, Oracle. All rights reserved.
ERROR:
ORA-09817: Write to audit file failed.
SVR4 Error: 28: No space left on device
Additional information: 12
ORA-01075: you are currently logged on
I am able to login to the database and create objects in it. Can anyone advice me why am I getting the above error.
For a workaround I thought of stopping and starting ASM instance but I am getting the below error:-
oracle@blrvqorasdb01:+ASM [u01/11.2.0/grid] > srvctl stop asm -f
PRCR-1070 : Failed to check if resource ora.asm is registered
Cannot communicate with crsd
Please advice...
Regards,
Arijit

    Our application runs on Oracle application server on Linux. Facing problems while accessing images outside the web document-root folder. This works with changes in global-web-application.xml by including the <virtual-directory> tag. The same change does not work when done on Linux machine. It is unable to find the image. This is one of the least satisfactory aspects of site management in Dreamweaver, and several developers, including myself, have been pressuring the Dreamweaver team for some years to improve this. Who knows? They might eventually take notice.
    The only way to do this at the moment is to create two site definitions, one nested inside the other. Set up the site definition normally based on htdocs as your site root. Then create a new site definition based on site. Dreamweaver will nag you that it can cause problems, but it won't actually stop you from doing it. The only potential problem is with site synchronization.
    The problem with using site as the only basis for your site definition is that Dreamweaver automatically puts things like the Connections, Scripts, and other folders in the site root. So, everything ends up at the wrong level of the site hierarchy. Quite frankly, the whole thing is a bit of a pain. Dynamic site development was added to Dreamweaver only in version 6 (Dreamweaver MX), and no one had really thought through the need to store files outside the site root.

    Use lower case letters for your variable names (name, pwd). The code works then.
    package com.bluenile.bean;
    import java.io.*;
    public class Bean1 implements Serializable
    private String name="Uname";
    private String pwd="Pword";
    public String getName()
    return name;
    public String getPwd()
    return pwd;
    void setName(String name)
    this.name = name;
    void setPwd(String pwd)
    this.pwd = pwd;

  • Problem while transferring XML to oracle using ODI

    Hi,
    I need to transform a XML file to Oracle using ODI. i created the target oracle table as usual.
    I read the thread on "http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=1909900&#1909900" to create an XML model.
    Now my problem is while importing the XML model, in the definition tab, i had given the technology as XML, choosen the appropriate logical shema.
    In the reverse tab, i have choosen global as context and what should i do in the SELECTIVE REVERSE tab.
    I am not getting any KM in the control tab. so what is the KM for XML and how should i get that?
    Please anyone who knows help me...
    Thanks in advance,
    Ram Mohan T.

    When you do the reverse, you should be able to do a "Standard Reverse". No KM is needed for that.
    When you define an interface to move the data, you should use the SQL KMs to access the data in XML. You will need to have these imported in the project where you define the interface.

    For installing JSTL, all you need are the jar files in the web-inf/lib directory.
    - No entries in web.xml
    - no tld files lying around
    - no problems!
    I think you may have a versioning problem here.
    What version of Tomcat are you using?
    With JSP1.2 (eg Tomcat 4), you should be using JSTL1.0. <%@ taglib prefix="c" uri="http://java.sun.com/jstl/core" %>
    With JSP2.0 (eg Tomcat 5), you should use JSTL1.1. <%@ taglib prefix="c" uri="http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/core" %>
    Note the difference in the URIs. - the second one includes a /jsp
    Currently you are using the URI for JSTL1.0, but you look to have the tld from JSTL1.1. If you are using a JSP1.2 container, I don't think it could read this tld file, hence the error.
    Try installing the correct version of JSTL, properly (ie as they tell you in the readme file) and it should all work.

  • PLS-00306,problem while executing procedure from oracle e_comerce

    Hi
    I have writen a procedure in oracle.Tere i have a parameter with type varchar2.
    While i registered it in e_comerce i choosed the value set as 15characters.
    When i am runing the program from my ecomerce application it gives an error as below:
    ORACLE error 6550 in FDPSTP
    Cause: FDPSTP failed due to ORA-06550: line 1, column 7:
    PLS-00306: wrong number or types of arguments in call to 'PO_OUTPUT'
    ORA-06550: line 1, column 7:
    PL/SQL: Statement ignored
    there is no error when i am executing my procedure in toad/sql+ but this error comes only in e_comerce application.
    PLease tell what is the reason and what can be the solution?

    Hi,
    <p>
    The function has the following parameters:<br>
    function insertj(jnum j.j#%type, jname j.jname%type, city j.city%type)<br>
    where j# is varchar2(5), jname is varchar2(35) and city is varchar2(35)<br>.
    I was trying to insert the following values:<br>
    j#:='J11', jname:='JobName' and city:='Paris'.<br>
    </p>
    <p>
    The procedure just calls this function with the same parameters. It is very strange because it is hard to see what the problem is. The line 10 is return 0 in the function where I believe the error comes from. It starts in the procedure and then goes in the function body, if I am interpreting this right.
    </p>
    <p>
    Any idea?
    </p>
    Thanks!

    Looks like ClassLoader tries to load different class. Check your classpath, check where are classes com/sgsap/feed/server/IFeed and if there are more than one such class, check why if your app is in /dev it is loading different class than when it is in /test.
    Other solution could be that something gone wrong while compilation. Are you sure you was not recompiling any code between testing it on /dev and on /test?
    I do not know, I am just trying to give some clues.

  • Problem while using XML with Oracle

    I have a problem using XML with oracle applications
    The process I am following
    1. Making a XML string.
    2. Parsing it to get a document
    3. Free the parser using xmlparser.freeparser
    4. Traversing through nodes .
    5. Freeing the document.
    The whole Process is executed in batch mode.
    The problem occurs after executing the procedure for 5000 records and I get the error
    ORA-04031: unable to allocate 4176 bytes of shared memory ("shared pool","unknown object","sga
    heap","library cache")
    Can you please help me out to overcome this problem
    It's urgent
    I have
    Oracle version 8.1.7.0.0
    XML version 1.2
    OS Windows NT
    To resolve the problem I have increase shared memory size and java initialization parameters ,which seems OK
    Looking forward for your answer.

    Hello, Reena
    Your process flow seems to be correct in term of getting/freeing memory.
    Following error
    The problem occurs after executing the procedure for 5000 records and I get the error
    ORA-04031: unable to allocate 4176 bytes of shared memory ("shared pool","unknown object","sga
    heap","library cache")may be caused by memory leaks in xdk or memory fragmentation(due to get/free memory cycle)
    To find out if this is an memory leak issue you could try to monitor V$SGASTAT from one session while running your batch process in another session.
    To prevent (or lower its impact) fragmentation issues try to PIN objects, and adjust java_pool_size and shared_pool_reserved_size.
    Anyway, counsult your Oracle DBA.
    Oracle version 8.1.7.0.0I think, you should apply database patch first of all. The latest one (8.1.7.4.x) could be accured from Metalink.

  • A Problem with accessing to a Oracle Database

    When i try to obtain data from the a database in an Oracle Server, i cannot obtain the data fromthe server, I made the same using the example with LoanBean using the derby client, but I cannot do the same with Oracle.
    The result of this is:
    java.lang.NullPointerException
    and the code:
    if (rightName.equals(user.getText() && (rightPass.equals(pass.getText()))
    Please, help me.

    Hi Ivan,
    Are you sure that is't Oracle problem? How code you specified is related to Oracle?
    Find out which of variables is null. It cab be easily done with operators like
    info("rightName="+rightName);
    before operator you specify.
    Another way is to use debugger.
    Thanks, Misha

  • Problem while accessing object in remote database

    Hi All,
    We have a procedure "UPDATE_CONV_DETAILS" created in the remote databse in the "apps" schema. The synonym for the procedure is created in the billing schema(present in the remote database). A dblink is created the local database through which we are tring to access the remote object "UPDATE_CONV_DETAILS".
    Dblink script:
    create public database link PRE_TO_CEL
    connect to BILLING
    identified by BILLING
    using 'MAP1';
    When trying to access the object from the local machine using the schema name.object_name it works fine:
    SQL> DESC APPS.UPDATE_CONV_DETAILS@PRE_TO_CEL
    PROCEDURE APPS.UPDATE_CONV_DETAILS@PRE_TO_CEL
    Argument Name Type In/Out Default?
    IN_MOBILE VARCHAR2 IN
    IN_SERVICE_CODE VARCHAR2 IN
    IN_STATUS VARCHAR2 IN
    OUT_ERROR_CODE NUMBER OUT
    But when trying the access the same object using the synonym_name it gives the error:
    SQL> DESC UPDATE_CONV_DETAILS@PRE_TO_CEL
    ERROR:
    ORA-04043: object APPS.UPDATE_CONV_DETAILS does not exist
    Regards,
    Kirti

    You have two schema.
    apps
    billing
    both reside in remote database.
    there on procedure and on procedure u create one synonym and u want to access it.
    ur remote database name is "map1"
    on ur local database ur create one dblink to access remote database.
    ORA-04043: object string does not exist
    Cause: An object name was specified that was not recognized by the system. There are several possible causes:
    - An invalid name for a table, view, sequence, procedure, function, package, or package body was entered. Since the system could not recognize the invalid name, it responded with the message that the named object does not exist.
    - An attempt was made to rename an index or a cluster, or some other object that cannot be renamed.
    Action: Check the spelling of the named object and rerun the code. (Valid names of tables, views, functions, etc. can be listed by querying the data dictionary.)

    I am accessing System Configuration link thru System Administration--> System Configuration using J2EE_ADMIN as the user, even though i have given most of the authorisations it still gives me a access denied javascript error. can anyone please let me know for which authorisations i need to check
    regards
    Vinay

    Its not necessary that if you hav super admin role that you can access  the system information.You need to hav the the credentials of the "administrator".
    you can find out the system configuration details from the url
    http:<hostname:portno>/index.html
    click on system configuration.
    you can accesses those details if you are having  administrator role only.If u dont have it contact your portal admin or basis people they can help you out.

  • I am facing problem while accessing property value when i include a component inside another

    Hi Everyone,
    I am unable to access property value of richtext of a compoent that is included in another compoent.
    I have created a compoentA at following location myProject/components/componentA.
    I then created componentB at this location myProject/components/componentB
    ComponentB contains a design_dialog that has a richtext widget with following properties:-
    xtype=richtext
    name=./description
    titile=productdescription
    I have then included componentB in componentA.jsp using <cq:include path="productdescription" resourceType="myProject/components/componentB" />.
    I have then dropped componentA on a page. In design mode i could see the edit dialog for componentB and on edit I could see the rich text, but when i am trying to access the values entered in richtext inside componentB.jsp i am getting null/default value.
    <%=properties.get("description","Description not present")%>
    Can any one tell me why the property is not accessible on the included component.
    Thanks

    What is the tree structure created for the property of the componentB?
    Can you try the below code in your componentB jsp and check whether you are getting the property value
    Resource resource = slingRequest.getResource();
    String description = ((String) ResourceUtil.getValueMap(resource).get(
                        "./description", String.class));
