Problems with enclosing in ticks.

I got help recently using tick marks.
It's complaining about the YES in the constraint towards the bottom.
Previously, I was just using execute immediate, but was corrected to use the Qliteral...as seen here, to correct for issues with tick marks.
I guess I still don't understand what I'm doing wrong.

Second, what, exactly, does "it's complaining" mean? I'm guessing that you are getting some sort of error. What error are you getting? What is the error stack? Are you getting a compilation error or a runtime error? Are you getting an error from the database? Or from your front end?
JustinYou are right...my apologies....I know better than to not include details.
The only error I'm getting, with no details, is ORA-00911: invalid character. But it doesn't indicate any line or anything.
And I didn't realize that I could only put one DDL per execution. I will try that and report.

My code has to be able to be run multiple times without any kind of failure. It can ONLY write the error to the log.In some weird upgrade process that seems both unusual and highly unreliable.When I have the scripts working correctly, it actually works really well. Here's why... We have multiple companies that all reside on one large oracle instance that is managed by a team of DBA's. My job as a development DBA is to process the code that comes in from the developers, and deal with them at our level. when it's time to update our application, I take all the code that they have turned in to me, along with my own adhoc requests like this, and I make one huge script. That script has to be able to be rerun. The biggest caviet is create table scripts. Because if our dev time is 8 weeks, we've built the table and have had 8 weeks of inserts and play time in the dev environment...so to just drop and recreate the table is not possible due to data loss. So my scripts have to be able to say, build the table...but if it exists, move on with no action. Views, procedures and other objects have no weight on them, as they don't store data.
Anyway...My packaged up script will call multiple objects. meanwhile, the dba team is getting the same thing from many teams at my level from the other companies. They have to be able to have their own script, on the night of deployment, fire off all of our scripts without any issues. So they spool the scripts to utilize their own respective log files, and upon completion ship those out to us. It makes it flow really well actually. The problem for me is that I'm not used to writing pl/sql code. Once I get these quarks figured out, it will be smooth sailing.

  • A problem with Static/RSS ticker

    Hello everyone!
    I have a test lab set up (DMM 5.1 and DMP-4305G, license is OK).
    I made a few presentations with Cisco Digital Media Designer that included video, text ticker and RSS ticker.
    Video works fine.
    Static text ticker almost works perfect, only i can't change the effect of text (it's alwys fadeing even if i change it to left/fight scroll).
    RSS feeds are visible in Cisco Digital Media Designer and seems to work, but when i play it on DMP, the box with rss feed is blank.
    Please, i need some advice, i tried everything i could think of...

    As i said link appears to work in  Digital Media Designer.
    When scheduling the presentation to DMP i have no result.
    I tried different links. This for instance link works perfect-> http://newsrss.bbc.co.uk/rss/newsonline_world_edition/europe/rss.xml
    i also copied the source code of bbcRSS and modified it (it is attached to this post) and put it on my web server, checked it with explorer - it works;
    on Digital Media Designer the link is not reachable, please advise.
    What could be the issue? Character coding maybe?
    ( i also noticed by using static ticker that DMP-4305 can't show slovenian special characters => š č ć ž )
    Does DMP-4305 / Digital Media Designer support different character coding?

  • Problems with the Widget "Text Ticker"

    Hello, I have a problem with the widget "Text ticker". I tried to put more then one text ticker on my site, but it doesn't work, when I look in Muse it looks like this:
    and when I look in the preview only the first text ticker works...maybe it is not possible to have more then one text ticker on one site?

    It seems you are using the same name for all the ticker instances on page.
    You need to have unique names for each of the ticker you want on a single page. Tickers with duplicate names will not work.

  • Problem with htmldb 2 (Sorry APEX)!

    I installed htmldb 2 on a windows XP, Oracle 10gR1 (which has enhanced by companion CD downloaded form Oracle's site). Everything went OK but when I want to connect to it by this url: http://localhost:7777/pls/htmldb it takes my username,pass but says:

    Firstly, there's no such thing as Apache 9.3, there's Apache 1 (and subversions) and Apache 2 (and subversions). Your error message -

    Secondly, I'm confused by your comment -
    I do not have Apache 9.3 or higher but I think oracle should offer this in its companion CDOracle does offer the Apache server, if you're saying you didn't get it from Oracle then where did your Apache server come from?
    Thirdly, I notice from your config file -
    ErrorLog "|E:\oracle\product\10.1.0\Companion\Apache\Apache\bin\rotatelogs logs/error_log 43200"That you're piping the logs through rotatelogs, are you sure the logfiles haven't just been renamed?

  • Problem with date and time preference

    hi there,
    i set my date and time and the time support yesterday and then i click the lock button to prevent further chance and last night i shut down my iMac, open it again in the morning the lock open back up and the timezone support change.
    i redo that again and restart my iMac the same thing happen. is this a problem with my software or everyone have this problem?
    any idea what should i do?

    Having the same problem, & am running Parallels (which I haven't used for some time) not boot camp. I tick the box labeled "Set time automatically" & lock the "click the lock to make changes". When I reboot, the Lock is unlocked and the "set time...." is unticked. Any ideas. Cheers.

  • Problem with sqlldr and commit

    Hi,
    i have a problem with sqlldr and commit.
    I have a simple table with one colum [ col_id number(6) not null ]. The column "col_id" is primary key in the table. I have one file with 100.000 records ( number from 0 to 99.999 ).
    I want load the file in the table with sqlldr ( sql*loader ) but i want commit only if all records are loaded. If one record is discarded i want discarded all record of file.
    The proble is that in coventional path the commit is on 64 row but if i want the same records of file isn't possible and in direct path sqlldr disable primary key :(
    There are a solutions?

    Thanks a lot, both of your replies are immensely instructive. Maybe a little background on what I'm trying to do. In the table, I have header rows with dependent line rows. When a check box is ticked in the header, I want the corresponding check boxes in the dependent lines to be checked automatically (in slave fashion and ideally without using JavaScript). My idea was to update the bound components (for the lines) from within the Bean (in response to change on the header). However, given there's only a single component for each column in the table, this of course doesn't make sense.
    I'm trying to get to the typical MVC workflow of a) user updates a View component, b) Controller detects the change and updates the Model, c) The Model fires a property change event, which the View detects and updates appropriately. What's the way to achieve this in JSF (by design)?
    Here's a simple fragment (which does not work):

  • Problem with date and time syncing itouch to macbook

    i have a problem with the date and time on ical when i sync my itouch4 w my macbookair. whatever i entered into my calendar in itouch will appear different in my ical( with a 6 hrs advance difference) and the alarm i set on my itouch in the calendar doesnt ring at the right time as set even though it is shown the time that i wanted.
    Both my macbook n itouch are set to the same time zone and i have checked this many many times n the time is the same on both machine. but i just dont understand why is there a time difference when synced and my alarm just dont sound at the time it was supposedly set. it rings hours later n showing a different time that it was set but in the parenthesis the right time that i had set it.
    One time my computer ran out of battery n went into sleep mode and when i open it again, the time n date setting was all off. which im surprised why it had gone off. So did this create the problem i have now with the date n time sync or something else?
    please help!!!!

    i tried to call the apple store (indonesia) which i bought this imac 27" from. got transfered 4 times and i had to explain it to them all over. in the end i got to speak to the technician and i asked whether i can get a replacement and they don't think it's the correct solution and leave me hanging here.

    i called the apple support on the apple.com (0018 03061 2009 for indonesia) today wednesday 19 may 2010, time 1:12pm indonesia local time (GMT +7) i didn't get the guy's name but i can tell he's Indian from the accent, i told him what the problem is, he told me to wait, i waited for 10 minutes and he hung up on me at 1:24pm. please check on the record, because i was told the whole conversation was recorded.
    so, let's go to the problem:
    i can't share my internet with airport built-in in my imac 27".
    I'm using ZTE usb hsdpa modem connected to the imac. (fyi, my friend is using the same exact modem and internet provider and don't have any problems with internet sharing using his macbook)
    i tried to share the internet through the airport express simply with these steps:
    1. open the system preferences, internet sharing,
    2. connection with "ZTE usb modem", and the box next to "Airport" is ticked
    3. turn on the internet sharing
    4. press start
    5. yes the firewall is off.
    and these are what i'm having right now:
    1. the airport symbol wont turn into an arrow
    2. when i open the network preferences, it says: AirPort is turned on but is not connected to a network. (color is orange not green)
    3. i searched the wireless network with my ipod touch and i found nothing
    4. if i try to "create a network" here's what it says "There was an error creating your computer-to-computer network."

    If you have anything configured in System Preferences/Network/Airport then you have conflicts configured into the network. I suggest that you start from the beginning. Do not assume anything. Do not take any short cuts. Start fresh.
    Go to Sys Prefs/Sharing turn off Internet Sharing. Go to Sys Prefs/Network, highlight AirPort and press the - symbol below to remove the AirPort interface. Now press the + symbol and create a new AirPort Interface. In the new AirPort interface do not turn on AirPort. You should only select the box to show AirPort Status in the menu bar. Now press Apply.
    Go to Sys Prefs/Sharing and follow the steps 1 through 11 in my first post.
    In step 11 Sys Prefs should ask you to turn on AirPort. Turn it on. It should next ask you to start Internet Sharing. Start Internet Sharing.
    The AirPort Status in the menu bar should show AirPort is on and have an arrow pointing up. In the AirPort Status dropdown menu it should show AirPort is ON, Internet Sharing is ON and it should show the name of the Internet Sharing network that you created.

  • Problem with date validation

    The enclosed trivial sample illustrates a problem I'm experiencing with validating dates
    The date field is initialized when the form opens.
    Once the form is open,  click the button and a popup appears saying there is a validation problem with the date field. Yet if the date is selected with the date selection widget the appearance is exactly the same, but without the validation problem. What's going on?

    OK, I've solved this, but I am hoping some kind person can tell me why I solved it.
    On the trivial form I enclosed before before, the "click" script used to say
    xfa.forms.recalculate(1);
    Now I've changed it to
    xfa.forms.recalculate (0);
    And I no longer see the undesired date validtion errors when I click the button. (See updated enclosure on this post).
    The difference is supposed to be that, if the parameter is 0 (or false) then only "pending" calculation scripts are fired, and if 1 (or true) then all calculation scripts are fired. So what does it mean to my DateTime field having unjust validation errors? The DateTime field has no calculation script, only an iitialize script.

    Hello, my USB Mass Storage Device Not Recognized( Flash drive- HP v156w, 16 GB)
     Full story : I opened flash disk,  started  to loading and opening files very slow, suddenly all writing, names of the files become unreadable. I took off the flash disk and try again. I got the message- disk have to be formated to be used
    again. After a lot of try I got this message:
     Unknown device doesn't have a driver ; and Problem with PnP devices when i run trouble shoot in devices and printers on my Sony VAIO laptop( Windows 8, 64 bit), and error code:28 for unknown device doesn't have a driver.
    Do other usb devices work ok in the same usb port? - yes
    Has someone else/or you used it on another pc?- yes
    Does it work ok on a different pc?  - the same problem
    Did you pull it out with using 'Safely Remove Hardware'? -  yes, a lot of time after its become invisible, unknoun
    Was it previously working ok with your W8 laptop? - never tried befor
    Disk Management can't see the drive.

  • Serious problem with my iPod Classic/iTunes

    I have a 6th Generation iPod classic (80 GB), and recently, I have been having some serious problems with it.
    When I connect it to iTunes, there is usually no problem, it shows up, plays and displays the music correctly, etc. However, if I try to ADD any music to it, iTunes will freeze, then close, and within 5 minutes, my entire computer will freeze completely, and be shut off. For whatever reason, happen when my iPod finally disconnects because my computer turned off, all of my music is missing from the library (This doesn't happen every time it freezes, because I try to disconnect my iPod manually before everything freezes). The music is still on the iPod, (it says that I have XX.X GB of "other" instead of music/videos), but it doesn't show up. When I plug in my iPod, iTunes says that there was a problem and I need to restore it. The first time this happened, I lost over 5,800 songs, but I forgave Apple, because these things do occasionally happen, plus I had no idea what exactly went on. The SECOND time happened within the same week, after I had put 800 songs back on the restored iPod. The first time happened when I was using iTunes 10 (which is seriously buggy on my computer, and freezes often), so I switched to iTunes 9 (still buggy, but doesn't freeze quite as much), and the same thing happened. So now I'm thinking it's my iPod's fault. My iPod does a whole host of minor problems over time such as making certain songs cut off at a certain specific point for no reason (Always the same song, always the same cut off point, and I can't fast forward past it, I also can't delete the songs because if I highlight them on iTunes, iTunes will freeze, and if I find them under the music folder in iPod control, my computer will freeze), freezing the entire iPod for seemingly no reason, and somehow messing up my album artwork (it will appear as "Colourful Static"), along with alot more.
    I know this is a troublesome problem, but if anyone could somehow shine some light on this problem, it would be tremendously appreciated.

    Unfortunately, when a hard drive starts clicking that means it's going bad. The mechanism is having trouble reading the drive. Since the iPod is mostly just a harddrive and a battery I have a feeling that this is your problem.

    about 25ss in is where the clicking starts. If it sounds like that, but softer and more muffled since it is a smaller drive that is being enclosed then I think you might be SOL. Maybe if you're iPod is still under warranty you can get a credit and go for a touch and avoid moving parts all together?

  • IPOD CONNECTIVITY PROBLEM WITH WINDOWS XP VIA USB 2.0

    Enough is enough.
    I have an ipod touch and I am having difficulty connecting it to my pc via usb 2.0.
    I have searched the entire web and came across many cases similar or the same as mine. It's time for apple to face the fact that there is something wrong with either the apple mobile service or the apple usb drivers or the itunes software that causes connectivity problems with win xp.
    For the record my case is this:
    I got my itouch 3 days ago. I installed itunes 8.0. Then I plugged in my ipod to a usb extension cable port connected to a usb at the back of my desktop computer. At first I got the "this usb device can perform faster if you plug it to a usb 2.0 port etc." message. So I did. I removed the extension cable and connected it directly to one of the usb ports at the back. The first time it synchronized, it seemed fine. So I decided before I do anything with it, to update it to the 2.1 version. I made my account and bought (very bad policy there apple, it should be free or at least cheeper than 8 euro) the 2.1 update. I clicked to update the i-touch. While it was updating it crashed during the restore process (because it was disconnected but I didn't know that at the time). I unplugged it, resetted and plugged it back and managed to continue the restoring process until it was updated. After figuring out itunes I chose the "manage files manually option", kept everything unchecked in the sync options except the applications. I noticed there were random disconnections here and there but I didn't pay much attention because they weren't very frequent.
    The next day I plug in the touch again and suddenly I hear that annoying "connecting-disconnecting" sound from windows while my touch kept disappearing and reappearing in itunes. Suddenly my playlists disappeared from the touch. Nothing was in the touch any more. How could that happen since i had chosen to manage my files manually instead of synchronizing? So I unplugged the touch again, restarted the touch, restarted the pc, stopped and restarted the apple mobile service, unistalled and reinstalled itunes, searched microsoft support and read many usb troubleshooting documents in the web. Nothing happened. The touch randomly keeps disconnecting from the usb. I eventually managed to put my stuff back in and keep them there.
    Here's what I know:
    1) There is nothing wrong with my usb ports. I don't use usb hubs, they are usb 2.0, the voltage (500mA) is correct in the device manager. Everything else works fine there.
    2) The ipod touch does not support disk mode so you can't see it under "my computer" and this is not a problem.
    3)There is nothing wrong with the ipod, it works perfectly.
    4) This is not a usb cable physical problem.
    5) The five R's are irrelevant with this situation.
    Uninstalling and reinstalling itunes doesn't solve the problem, neither does hard resetting the ipod.
    6) Older PC configurations seem to be more affected by this but it doesn't have to do with unsupported specific chipsets.
    Here's what needs investigating:
    1) There may be a problem with the apple mobile service running on win XP.
    2) There may be a problem with the apple usb driver and win XP or older motherboards.
    3) There may be a 2.1 firmware issue with usb 2.0 connectivity.
    Workaround so you don't go nuts:
    Use USB 1.1 instead of 2.0. It is A LOT slower but it keeps the connection stable and you can work with the ipod. Just start copying and go do something else for the next hour. So far it works for me.
    This is a serious issue that needs immediate attention. I've stumbled across forum discussions dating to 2005 with this problem (with older ipods of course).

    I think this needs to be put down to the eternal PC/Mac argument. Apple dont want to fix this as they want everyone to buy a Mac. Its a business, understandable, but in turning away PC buyers they alienate a huge percentage of the market.
    Now, I had my first iTouch stolen. It synced, for the most part, very well, just occasionally it removed settings and music, but ticking boxes each time I sync'd sorted that, Its a workflow procedure.
    SO, now that my Touch has been replaced, iTunes cannot see it. The PC can identify it on USB1 or USB2, My work lap top can see it and has indeed upgraded it to V2 software, just in case that was the issue, but no. For some really weird reason Itunes on my desktop cannot see the new pod.
    This does not make sense with the argument that Apple software doesnt work on a PC, but doesnt help that none of the Apple support staff, phone or in-store have a clue about Windows operations.
    Because my Touch has now been trying to connect to 6 separate installs of itunes, multiple USB ports, multiple USB cables, a complete overhaul of the registry settings (everything else still works), and the loss of all my previous settings and backups from the last Touch... but still, the PC says its an ipod but cant install it, iTunes sits there, dumb.
    The only thing I can do now is sell the device as brand new as it has never had music on it and is just a week old...
    It has changed the MiniMac I was going to have for my new flat screen TV into a PC and suggests that anyone with a PC should stick to devices that run on PC, of which there are many, just without the user interface of the dear departed IPod Touch.

  • (Another) Problem with HP Photosmart - reinstallation

    I have a Photosmart C5280 All-in-One and a MacBook Pro, with 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, using Mac OS X 10.4.11.
    Scenario this morning:
    The printer will photocopy, but there is no connection between the printer and the computer, it is not a problem with the usb cable connection. The computer will not send anything to the printer to print, and the scanner will not end anything to the computer.
    I repaired permissions using disk utility at least three times this morning. (I do it fairly often anyway).
    Scenario now:
    I have now uninstalled the software, using the HP uninstall programme, but then deleted the remaining items manually as instructed in the section on the HP site for Macs and uninstallation. I have also emptied the trash.
    Sadly however, it has made absolutely no difference. Whenever I put the installation disk into the CD drive, I can only get as far as identifying the printer. There are no printers listed, and when I tick the box, it comes up with Photosmart C5200 Series, which is correct. But the next continue box is then greyed out. (I'm wondering if following the HP instructions was such a good idea now).
    I am now stuck. I have uninstalled and can not reinstall. I have used these two together for the past year (or more) without any problems. When I initially installed, it worked fine. No problems at all. I have not recently changed any software or upgraded anything on the OS. The two were communicating last week, when I did some scanning and printing.
    Confession: I had the first problem (no scanning/printing) a couple of weeks ago, and decided to look in trash to see if I had mistakenly got rid of something and found an hp file in there. Pulled it back out. All worked fine again. But today, total blip, and no hp files in trash.
    I would be grateful if anyone could suggest a solution. I'm capable of following instructions. Oh, I have mailed Hp, but I've had no response so far. I have also looked through the stuff on here, but haven't found a similar problem, ie the connection just disappears into the ether.

    I had a response from HP:
    1) Was the printer powered on? It needs to be turned on.
    2) Was the USB plugged directly from the back on the printer to the Mac? You are not using a hub, airport or a USB cable more than 10 feet long?
    3) Power cycle the printer. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer. Wait 10-15 seconds and reconnect the cord. Power on the printer. Was it found?
    4) If not, restart the Mac. Once you are back up, if the HP setup Assistant does not automatically launch you can launch it by clicking on Hard Drive > Applications > Hewlett-Packard > Utilities or Device Utilities > HP Setup Assistant. Double click to launch. Was it found?
    5) If not, plug the USB cable into a different port on the computer. Was it found?
    6) If the printer is still not found, check the system profiler for the device. Click on the Blue Apple in the upper left corner, then About this Mac. On the next screen click on More Info. On the System Profiler screen, click on USB under Hardware. On the right is the printer found under USB device tree?
    7) Another thing we need to check is when you installed the software did you select the correct device. The newer printer software may contain multiple products. If you did not select the correct device during the install, the computer is looking for a different device and not finding it. To check this, run the HP uninstaller. Open Hard Drive> Applications > Hewlett-Packard > HP Uninstaller. When you get to uninstall selected device, what printer is listed. If it is not you model series, run the uninstaller. Quit the uninstaller when complete, disconnect the USB cable and restart. When you back to the desktop, empty the trash, and reinstall the software. Wait for the option to select your device!
    I want to be sure the troubleshooting steps I provided resolve the issue. If the issue continues, please reply to this message with the results. We will be glad to assist you further.
    It was not unreasonable, but I had checked the box that said Intermediate (level of computer knowledge) - so I thought asking me if the printer was turned on/checking the ports/ etc etc was a little basic.
    However on browsing this forum for similar probs I noticed a reference to Printer Setup Repair (it may have been one of your suggestions BDAqua to a different problem) so downloaded it for a free trial. Although I regularly verify and repair permissions with disk utility, I tried with Printer Setup Repair, and got this message:

    That message would explain why, the last time I had a problem, it was resolved with reinstalling OS X. What I don't understand is why a file suddenly disappears? Perhaps I need to move my queries to one about OS X? (I have OS X on my other Apple and no probs there.)
    Anyway, thank you for your responses and if you have any further advice or suggestions, I would be happy to hear.

    Two points here.
    Firstly, you can duplicate SSL's. (Right click on an SSL in
    the projects sub-directory and select the duplicate layout option.
    This will give you a copy of the original SSL).
    I tend to have two SSL's - one is local and I use that every
    time I test compile the project when I'm working on it.
    The other is set to output to the master project. I use that
    once I'm happy with the sub-project and start working with the
    master project.
    Second point is to be aware of how RoboHelp treats the
    imported/merged .chm files from the sub projects.
    It imports them into the main project master directory - then
    when the master project is compiled it puts a copy of them into the
    master project SSL. However, if you re-compile it doesn't overwrite
    the files that are already in the master project SSL directory.
    This is why you have to be aware of where the sub project
    .chm files are going - you need to make sure that if you revise the
    sub projects, a fresh copy of the .chm files ends up in the output
    SSL directory of the master project.
