Problems with hooking

I've come across an interesting situation which I'm lost in. I'm trying to hook into an application via to check for mouse clicks. I have that portion of the code working with what I have. My comparison comes from the handle of the window I want to click on:
//mtitle is the title of the window in Java
HWND fwnd = FindWindowA(NULL, mtitle);That's all fine and dandy if I'm working with a JFrame, but I wanted to take it a step farther and try it with a Panel, so I came across this:
   //container is a jobject being passed in from java.
   HWND hwnd;
   jboolean result;
   if(container == NULL)
      return false;
   //get the awt
   awt.version = JAWT_VERSION_1_3;
   result = JAWT_GetAWT(env, &awt);
   if(!result)
      return false;
   JAWT_DrawingSurface* ds = awt.GetDrawingSurface(env, container);
   if(ds == NULL)
      return false;
   //get the drawing surface info
   JAWT_DrawingSurfaceInfo* dsi = NULL;
   try {
      dsi = ds->GetDrawingSurfaceInfo(ds);
   } catch (...) {
      return false;
   if(dsi == NULL)
      return false;
   // Lock the drawing surface
   jint lock = ds->Lock(ds);
   // Get the platform-specific drawing info
   JAWT_Win32DrawingSurfaceInfo* dsi_win = (JAWT_Win32DrawingSurfaceInfo*)dsi->platformInfo;
   if(dsi_win == NULL)
      return false;
   hwnd = dsi_win->hwnd;
   // Free the drawing surface info
   ds->FreeDrawingSurfaceInfo(dsi);
   // Unlock the drawing surface
   ds->Unlock(ds);
   // Free the drawing surface
   awt.FreeDrawingSurface(ds);Now, it's the same exact handle coming from the window, BUT, with this code:
hmb = SetWindowsHookEx( WH_MOUSE, (HOOKPROC)HookMouseProc, (HINSTANCE)g_hModule, 0 );and...
BOOL APIENTRY DllMain( HANDLE hModule, DWORD  ul_reason_for_call, LPVOID lpReserved )
     switch(ul_reason_for_call)
          case DLL_PROCESS_ATTACH:
         g_hModule = hModule;
               return TRUE;
          case DLL_PROCESS_DETACH:
               //Cleanup();
               return TRUE;
   return TRUE;
}it's stopping any form of messages to pass through the hook. Here's my test:
JNIEXPORT LRESULT CALLBACK HookMouseProc(INT nCode, WPARAM wParam, LPARAM lParam)
   if (nCode < 0)  // do not process message
          return CallNextHookEx(hmb, nCode, wParam, lParam);
   Beep(4000, 10);
   return CallNextHookEx(hmb, nCode, wParam, lParam);
}  Now it's working on every other window except the specific one I'm trying to connect to. This is only when I'm using the JAWT code. It works perfectly with the FindWindow() code. So, in the long run, is there something that stops me from hooking in properly? Any and all ideas are more then welcomed.
Also, if you're confused by the question, let me know and I'll try to rephrase it.

DING! Found a solution. Took a good long while, but it works. I'm writing this for those in the future who want to use it:
JNIEXPORT jboolean JNICALL Java_Interface_attachRenderHwnd(JNIEnv *env, jobject obj, jobject container) {
   JAWT awt;
   JAWT_DrawingSurface* ds;
   JAWT_DrawingSurfaceInfo* dsi;
   JAWT_Win32DrawingSurfaceInfo* dsi_win;
   HWND handle_win;
   HMODULE _hAWT;     // JAWT module handle
   jint lock;
   *PJAWT_GETAWT pJAWT_GetAWT;  // JAWT_GetAWT function pointer*
   //Get the AWT
   *_hAWT = LoadLibraryA("jawt.dll");*
   if (!_hAWT) {
      WriteMessage("No jawt.dll... Trying awt.dll\n");
      _hAWT = LoadLibraryA("awt.dll");   // IBM Java 1.3.x packages JAWT_GetAWT in awt.dll
   if (!_hAWT) {
     WriteMessage("JAWT DLL Not Found\n");
     return JNI_FALSE;
   pJAWT_GetAWT = (PJAWT_GETAWT)GetProcAddress(_hAWT, "_JAWT_GetAWT@8");
   if (!pJAWT_GetAWT) {
     WriteMessage("JAWT_GetAWT Entry Not Found\n");
   FreeLibrary(_hAWT);
   return JNI_FALSE;
   awt.version = JAWT_VERSION_1_3;
   if (pJAWT_GetAWT(env, &awt) == JNI_FALSE) {
     WriteMessage("AWT Not Found\n");
     FreeLibrary(_hAWT);
     return JNI_FALSE;
   //Get the Drawing Surface
   ds = awt.GetDrawingSurface(env, container);
   if (ds == NULL) {
     WriteMessage("NULL Drawing Surface\n");
     FreeLibrary(_hAWT);
     return JNI_FALSE;
   //Lock the Drawing Surface
   lock = ds->Lock(ds);
   if ((lock & JAWT_LOCK_ERROR) != 0) {
     WriteMessage("Error Locking Surface\n");
     awt.FreeDrawingSurface(ds);
     FreeLibrary(_hAWT);
     return JNI_FALSE;
   //Get the Drawing Surface info
   dsi = ds->GetDrawingSurfaceInfo(ds);
   if (dsi == NULL) {
     WriteMessage("Error Getting Surface Info\n");
     ds->Unlock(ds);
     awt.FreeDrawingSurface(ds);
     FreeLibrary(_hAWT);
     return JNI_FALSE;
   //Get the Platform specific Drawing Info
   dsi_win = (JAWT_Win32DrawingSurfaceInfo*)dsi->platformInfo;
   //Get the Handle to the Native Drawing Surface info
   handle_win = (HWND) dsi_win->hwnd;
   //Clean up after us
   ds->FreeDrawingSurfaceInfo(dsi);
   ds->Unlock(ds);
   awt.FreeDrawingSurface(ds);
   FreeLibrary(_hAWT);
   AttachWindow(handle_win);
   return gIsAttached;
}Did two things differently. Loaded from a library and had a pointer to the method instead of using it directly. Hope this'll help others in the future!

  • Luks encrypted root on sd card - problem with hooks

    Hi,
      I was trying to set up my arch system on an SD card on EeePC. I was using arch like that for about 4 months already, before my card crapped out, so now I have to reinstall it on a new card.
      This time I thought I make an effort and use encrypted root, just like it is in the wiki.
      I followed it exactly, and everything went fine - except when I actually tried to boot the system, it didn't work. Apparently the "encrypt" hook is being executed earlier than my /dev/sdb2 is recognized by the system.
       However, when I use the arch-install cd to boot it ("arch root=/dev/sdb2") it correctly asks for my password and everything is fine, I'm in my newly installed system!
       So, is this difference because the arch-install uses a different order of hooks? Or because it has to wait for the cdrom to settle, the /dev/sdb2 is not too late anymore?
       I guess one solution would be is adding a "sleep 5" or something to the "encrypt" hook at installation. Where does the arch install find that version of "encrypt" that mkinitcpio uses during the install?
        Or - is there any better solution? Like rearranging the order of hooks?
        Thanks!

    It doesn't seem to help - i think the "rootdelay=" kernel parameter only appears to have a difference at a different stage (and I think the [usb] hook has that already)
    The problem is, that the udev hook (or the hardware recognition in [autodetect]?) doesn't finish before the [encrypt] hook runs.
    I can see, that the hook [encrypt] passes, and a few lines afterwards  "waiting for devices to settle", then the /dev/sdb is recognized....
    Using the install CD - all hardware section finishes way before [arch_encrypt]...

  • When I hook my ipod to computer it reads: there is a problem with this drive scan the drivenow and fit it (F) it doesnt work

    when I hook up ipod up to to itunes it reads:  IP F  There is a problem with this drive.  scan the drive now and fix it.   When I do this, nothing happens.

    Hello,
    I found the same issue. I have an iPod Classic 160 GB (Black) bought in April 2013. I'm using a Windows 8 Laptop bought in August 2014.
    This is my account of this problem and why I think customers should just ignore the pop-up, but Apple (and possibly with Microsoft/Windows) should look at the issue.
    Recently (approximately from early February 2015), when I connect the iPod to my computer I get a message saying there is a problem with the drive and it needs to be scanned and fixed. In full the message reads:
    There's a problem with this drive. Scan the drive now and fix it.
    This message appears very shortly and then immediately (once the message disappears, is clicked on, or x-d) brings up Windows File Explorer on the drive and its containing visible folders: which tells me nothing (though it can clearly open it and look at the files not locked to iTunes)
    Other than this, the iPod seems to connect properly and work fine. iTunes (ver: 12.1.0.71 64bit) seems to find no issue. The iPod runs fine, it syncs properly (all of my music and podcasts). It responds as it always has and works for hours.
    I did some troubleshooting: first on the wire, trying all ports and using an alternative, then on my laptop (all usb ports with other connectors and device drivers) and some basic testing of the iPod and iTunes. All of these seemed fine to me, no issue whatsoever other than the message every time I connect the iPod. So I just ignored it for a while.
    Anyway, eventually I got curious (and had some more free time to look at it) and let Windows 8 do what it wanted (scan and fix the drive). Clearly the iPod works fine, and I have nothing important on it that isn't on my computer, so at worst Windows will break the software and I'd have to reformat the drive through iTunes (and Restore to Factory Settings) which I feel fine doing. I also took note of all of my settings on the iPod (like EQ, and the way I laid out the menus etc...) so I can redo those from defaults.
    Prior to doing this, the iPod was version 2.0.5 (the latest version).
    When I set the drive to be scanned, windows told me it identified the problem and would fix it. I don't remember the exact wording, as this message was immediately obscured by a pop-up telling me the drive was in use and software using it should be closed. So I closed iTunes which in turn caused the pop-up and message to disappear.
    Windows then said it had succeeded and brought up the File Explorer of the drive again (now with some folders missing). When I loaded iTunes back up, it told me there was a problem with the iPod and it would need to be restored. Ejecting the iPod showed that it seemed to believe it had no content on it.
    So I restored the iPod through iTunes, downloading the latest iPod update again and started syncing the iPod. After adding a couple songs, I ejected it and played them - they worked fine, the menus had returned to defaults but I quickly changed them to how I liked and overall the iPod is back to how it was. I've now set it to sync the remaining thousands of songs (and couple hundred podcasts). Edit - by the end of this post, this has finished copying Music, Podcasts, and Playlists. It's back to exactly how it was before.
    Annoyingly, this has not removed the pop-up message when I connect the iPod, still the same as before - the most irksome thing being the file window opening every time i connect the iPod, though this is still minor (I just have to remember that this will happen and manually close it each time).
    So I'm at a loss on the cause, and am going to return to ignore it. I'd greatly appreciate if Apple could look into this. I'm wondering if it is a recent update to iTunes or to Windows, but I don't trust that I won't be able to undo changes if I myself began looking through them (and I lack the time and expertise to do that effectively). I think there might be that Windows is detecting something in the way that Apple formats their iPod drives that it believes is an issue (even when it isn't). My guess is the way of formatting is unchanged (the iPod hadn't received an update recently to suggest and alteration to this) but maybe the things Windows is looking for may have slightly changed and disagrees with Apple's way of keeping the iPod Drive proprietary to iTunes.
    TL,DR: Advice to others (and Ljchicago) searching this topic is to ignore the message for now.
    Thanks,
    Dixavd

  • Problem with PRE_DISP Activity Hook and Scrap of SFC

    We have a scenario where we want to check the max loop count against the times processed counter of a SFC on this routing step after a NC incident (with disposition configured) happened
    So we wrote an activity hook for NC disposition and attached it
    I have different problems with this scenario
    When I use a PRE_DISP activitiy hook I will get the current router/step of the SFC before the disposition happened. So I can get the counters I need
    But when I try to do a scrap of the SFC via API I get the error (after the hook completed):
    Caused by: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: QTY cannot be <=0
         at com.sap.me.demand.SFCRoutingReleaseWorker.addRouter(SFCRoutingReleaseWorker.java:188)
         at com.sap.me.demand.SFCRoutingBOBean.addRouter(SFCRoutingBOBean.java:131)
    I guess this is because the system tries to do the disposition after the hook and will get an error since it has been scrapped already
    When I use a POST_DISP hook I can do the scrap without errors. But I didn't find any method to get the router/step from where the disposition was started. In the DTO object of the hook I get the old operation but the router is already the new one
    So what is the best solution to the scenario? Is there a possibility to cancel the disposition in the PRE_DISP hook? Or are there methods for getting the router/steps for the SFC before the route was changed to a new one?

    Gentlemen,
    Please do not forget to share a solution with the community.
    Thank you,
    Alex.

  • IDES installation problem with DDIC password

    Hello everybody,
    After hours of searching and trying..
    I have here a problem during a local installation of IDES ECC 6.0 on Windows Server 2008 with MAXDB. The installation stops in phase 27 of 29 u201Ccheck DDIC passwordu201D - test logon to SAP system failed, with the error message FRF-00007 "Unable to open RFC connection" in sapinst.
    The MMC shows in the process list that the following processes stands oon "green": igswd, mag_Server and disp+work are running. The message of servers connection is OK, acts dialogue queue time is 0.00 sec.
    I have already searched the forum, but I am not able to logon as user SAP* with u201C060. u2026u201D or as user DDIC with the password u201C199. u2026u201D to change the DDIC password to my password set during the installation (transaction -S000 / SU01). The login fails over the MMC as well as over the SAP GUI 7.10. I have tried this on the client 000, 001 and 800. The error message is u201CSAP Logon Failed - connection closed without message (CM_NO_DATA_RECEIVEDu201D). The SAP GUI gets down with "Work process restartet, session terminated".
    What can help to solve the problem? Can it be a problem with the ms loop adaptor? Which static address IP must assign to the loop adaptor? Did i have to update the kernel of the data bank or is this not necessary? Can the information from dev_w help?
    Can this link help me: BI 7.0 Installed but errored out during DDIC password check !!!!!!!
    Thanks in advance

    The kernel is not patched. I just (try) to install the kernel files from the sap market place
    IDES download destination. The install kernel file was: 51033508_7 - NW7 SR3 Kernel 7.00 for Windows / LNX X86_X64. I got an update / upgrade file, which is called: 51033508_8 - NW7 SR3 Kernel .... Upg ABAP.
    Can anybody give me an adwise by reading those logfiles? Is the file ok for updating the kernel?
    How do I upgrade the kernel by having no .exe - file?  May the installation go on after patching the kernel?
    Thanks you really much
    Lenvy

  • Problems with track pad and osx installation disc on macbok.

    Okay so I am having two separate problems with my macbook.
    First, the track pad, or the button beneath it, is pretty much completely out of commission. When I try and use it, the computer acts as if I am holding down the button all the time. Example, when I drag it across the desktop, the "click-and-drag" square starts appearing next to the cursor or when move the cursor on an icon, it tries to click and drag that. The only way that I can fix it thus far is to hook up my wireless mouse. Hoping someone else has a better solution so that I can continue to use the notebook on the go without having to bring the mouse. Note: the button does not appear to be depressed in anyway.
    Second problem is happening when I attempt to reboot the computer with the OS X Leopard disk in for a re-installation. When the gray start-up screen appears, before the gray apple comes on the middle of the screen, a folder icon with a question mark on it appears for a split second and then turns into the normal apple icon after which my OSX disk is spit out of the drive and the computer boots straight to the desktop. I have attempted holding down the control button, the option button, and starting the process while the computer is still turned on and then just restarting it, the disc is ejected upon restart every time. I have reinstalled the OS with this disk once before and it has worked fine and other disks seem to be working fine in the drive, so I am at a lost here.
    I know that was a lot of info but if anyone out there can help me out with either one of these problems it would be much appreciated.
    Thanks.

    exactly the same issu with the track pad here.
    I v tried to use it without the battery but the problem persist.
    If I use an USB mouse i can move it arnd but wen I click or double click nothing happen...so is useless.Same problem with the Blur Tooth wireless mouse.
    The issue appear several months ago...after a couple of weeks went away, and now is back again. I try the routine manteinance but nothing solved the issue.
    Any suggestion? I have some urgent work to do ...I will try tomorrow to bring it in an apple store but I can't leave it with them ..
    Thanx in advance

  • [Solved] Problem with upgrading polkit or filesystem

    Ok so first off they do "upgrade" but the problem has me worried that something is wrong.
    A week or so ago after converting to systemd I tried getting rid of ConsoleKit and installing polkit 0.107 from the [testing] repo but it caused pacman to get stuck at "(1/1) upgrading polkit"  So I tried that a couple of times but I could never get pacman to finish and get past that.  I had to control + c to get out of that then type exit in the console (no text was visible that I typed however but typing exit + enter worked for closing it).  So I then opened a new terminal and downgraded polkit back to 0.105 and waited for polkit to get pushed from testing to see if it would fix my issue.  Fast forward to today and I go to upgrade my system.  Among the 83 updates or so was polkit and filesystem.  What do you know it gets stuck at "(15/83) upgrading polkit".  Fuck so I control + c, open new terminal and then do the upgrade again and it continues to update but this time it gets stuck doing the same thing for filesystem.  I control + c, open new terminal and continue the upgrade until it finishes, which it does this time, and I reboot.
    I tried re-installing polkit again and filesystem again but they continue to get stuck.  I cannot "complete" the upgrade even though they show the appropriate version when I check.

    Doug piston had me try something that I think will help anyone else who has this problem.  Try re-installing pambase and shadow.  It generated back most of any I was missing.

  • Problems with officejet pro 8100 and Lion?

    I just bought a new HP Officejet Pro 8100 Wireless and I have not been able to get it to work correctly.  It's hooked up and all the software seems to work but it prints very, very slowly.  It takes about 2 minutes to print a color page.  Is there some known problem with OJPRO8100s and Macs with OS X Lion on them?  I downloaded v12.14.0 of the printer package from HP, uninstalled what came with the printer, and installed the latest and greatest.  Didn't make a bit of difference.

    Officejet Pro 8500a extremely slow printing with Lion Mac OSX 10.7

  • Problem with MSI X58 Platinum SLI - IOH temperature !

    Hi guys.
    I have this PC configuration:
    - MSI X58 Platinum SLI ( Bios Version 3.8 - http://img822.imageshack.us/img822/6707/161020101249.jpg )
    - Intel Core i7 930 2.80 GHz box ( with Intel Turbo Boost running sometimes at 3.06 Ghz )
    - MSI GeForce GT240 1GB DDR5 128-bit HDMI
    - Corsair 6GB DDR3 1333MHz CL9 XMS3 Triple Channel Kit ( sets to AUTO and running at 1066 Mhz )
    - Corsair CMPSU-750TXEU
    - Ordinary case ( http://img828.imageshack.us/img828/4200/161020101246.jpg & http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/8480/161020101247.jpg ).
    - Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.
    I bought my PC components 2 months ago, so they are new.
    Now, guys I think that is a problem with my motherboard. When I turn on the computer in Bios I have this temps: CPU – 30 C (86 F); IOH – 71 C (159 F); System 30 C (86 F) - http://img687.imageshack.us/img687/394/161020101242.jpg. After 2 minutes the temperatures are: CPU – 34 C (93 F); IOH – 82 C (179 F); System 41 C (105 F) and 2 more minutes later the temperatures are: CPU – 34 C (93 F); IOH – 84 C (183 F); System 43 C (109 F). After 30 minutes of doing nothing I have this temps: CPU – 35 C (95 F); IOH – 85 C (185 F); System 42 C (107 F) -
    Guys it is normal with IOH temperature ? I am a little worried about it ( to be honest I am more than “a little” … I am worried a lot ).
    Ok, I know I don’t have a good case but in 3 weeks I should receive this Thermaltake Spedo Advance Case (http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/Product.aspx?C=1121&ID=1829) and I will buy a new CPU cooler ( I don’t know yet wich one – maybe Corsair CWCH70 or Noctua NH-D14 but I have to see the case first … to be sure there is a plenty of space for those coolers ).
    Pls help me with that IOH temperature. It is normal ? What if I intend to make a little OC ( lets say CPU to 3652 Mhz and RAM to 1333 Mhz … but also I will ask for your support ! ) my motherboard will burn ?
    If it is necessary I will contact my retailer and send him back the motherboard but … I like MSI a lot.
    Thx guys for your support !

    Hey guys,
    Here is a nice cheap alternative.
    Here is my story about the same issue.  I found it after looking at why my computer freezes sometimes. Not very often but enough for me to do some investigation.   I noticed my IOH temp was a whopping 117 degrees Celsius. lol.  Surprised my mobo didn't burn out by now.  I wanted to evaluate the situation with the heat sink and decided to take it off.  After taking it off I found extremely crusty purple compound on board the chipset and the heatsink.  I took me FOREVER to scrape it off. it was almost like a cement which I found odd.  After scraping and cleaning the surfaces with alcohol, I placed some silver compound on and proceeded to put it back on.
    Well, upon hooking everything back up I was still at 95 to 103 degs.   Now I started to really look at the options to replace this.  I had SLI config which means I had to do something clever with the southbridge as well.  A nice thermaltake chipset solution w/fan and a low profile copper southbridge with shipping was about 45 bucks.  Hmm ... This is a sure fix from the threads I have read and its really kid of expensive to fix a simple defect. the problem is not necessarily with the heatsink not being sufficient.  Its the combo of the compound used vs the amount of pressure applied between the heatsink and chipset.  It was completely unacceptable.  I knew this right away when I was watching the temp and then I would press on the top of the IOH heatsink and I would watch it drop another 15 degrees in less then 10 seconds. The springs are extremely weak and not effective at all in transferring the heat from the NB.
    Here if my fix.  Cost me less than a dollar at the hardware store and it works ideal thus far.  Do this at your own risk.  Doing this will probably void any warranty too.   All my problems are solved and I am running at 57 degrees, YES, 57 degrees with the stock heatsink and no additional cooling.
    For one scrape all that old crap off like I did. Apply your new compound. But when you go to replace your heatsink, use the following method.  The trick is to use metal screws with a mobo washer, original springs from the plastic studs and a nylon locknut.  Use screws that are the same diameter and length (maybe a tad bit longer) as the plastic retainer studs.  Also grab a few of those red nylon mobo washers too, were gonna need them as well.
    After scraping and applying compound, reassemble as follows.  Screw with washer inserted into the back of the mobo so the threads are out front.  The plastic/nylon washer is betweeen the screwhead and the back of the mobo as a insulator. Put the heatsink on. With the threads thru the heatsink already, put the springs on and start spinning on the locknut.  I torqued the nut down on the spring until the spring almost became fully compressed.  The purpose of the spring here is really to prevent you breaking something and at the same time using the max force of the spring since it weak to begin with. Thats why we need to compress it down pretty much all the way. There will be little to no room in the spring at this point.  The heatsink at this point should be pretty solid to the board as well.  I noticed with the plastic studs before the heatsink would wobble if you gave it a little rocking back and forth before.  Not this time. Shouldn't move much if at all.  Remember not to torque down too much. You don't want to go beyond the springs compression. Even if you did by accident, its better then not using a spring at all. If you feel that it starts to feel tight when torquing, you torqued too far. Stop an backup a 1/4 turn or so.  It is also very important to make sure both torques are equal on both sides as well. Alternate sides when torquing down.  I could tell by how much thread I had left on both sides and by looking for any uneven sides.
    To summarize, the compound is a problem no doubt.  After you resolve the compound issue, its all about the adequate pressure between the heatsink and the IOH.  Much like the amount of pressure needed between your CPU and your heatsink give or take. And the pressure that would be as an aftermarket solution like the thermaltake chipset cooler. You dont see cheesy springs on that.  Wake up MSI. Simpy using a more effective spring could save MSI some cash in the long run. I envision a leafsprin design like the thermaltake chipset one.  The heatsink design could be better, sure, but the design itself is not the problem. Replace the heatsinks if you would like to, if your overclocking and stuff.  Funny, this board I have is a refurb too and only had it for a few weeks. Figured they would have done something about it.
    Sorry the pics are not the best. Here is about as close as I could get to the finished product

  • Problem with Import and Base Object

    Hi everyone
    Last week, I downloaded Flash CS5. I am trying different thing and here is the problem that I dont understand
    I wrote a package like that
    package {
        import flash.text.TextField;
        import fl.controls.Button;
        public class ex1 extends Sprite {
            public function ex1() {
               var myButton:Button = new Bu
    tton();
                var label:TextField         = new TextField();
                addChild(label);
    If I try to execute that script, the compiler returns error
    1046: Type was not found or was not a compile-time constant: Button.
    1180: Call to a possibly undefined method Button.
    If I insert in the main stage (with the Componet Editor) a Button in the main stage, and recompile it, no error.
    If I delete the Button in the main stage and recompile again, no error
    But, If I save the projet and reload it again, I've got the same error
    By the way, I dont have any problem with the textField()
    What is wrong with my setup.
    OTHER QUESTION:
    If in the ACTION FRAME (F9), I insert the folowing code:
    import ex1;
    var a:ex1 = new ex1();
    one more time, I've got error from the compiler. Why ?
    We cannot include a package in the ACTION FRAME ?
    Thanks for your help

    There are some things (including $.fileName) that just do not work in jsxbin's.
    I don't thing the exception hook will work either.
    Either use an ini file in a well known location (~/Desktop) or make sure your
    files are put in Presets/Scripts. That location can be determined with this bit
    of code:
    var SCRIPTS_FOLDER =
    new Folder(app.path + '/' +
    localize("$$$/ScriptingSupport/InstalledScripts=Presets/Scripts"));

    Has anyone an idea how to solve this ?
    Thanks, Lutz

    Has noone an idea?
    The same problem exists with Legends. For this there was a help from Adobe with a style.
    Isn't there a comparable solution for this malfunction?

    You probably made the same mistake as I did and added the tables manually to the "sample" database instead of the "sun-appserv-samples" database.

  • There's video problems with my Zen Vision:M already (M video cable related) Please help

    Some background...
    System:Windows XP with Service Pack 2.
    Player: Brand new Creative Zen Vision: M with no firmware updates.
    My Zen Vision:M has a problem (besides the scratch and fingerprint attracting top surface): It won't play videos on a TV screen when the M Video Cable (also from Creative) is linked to it anymore. It's only been a few hours...
    I had the cable already, and got the player today. I let the player charge to /4th of a battery while I was setting up all the software. I ran the software programs just to take a peek, only changing the name of my player (to my name). I used Winamp 5.3 to put a music track on the player to test it. After that, I hooked it up to the VCR in my room through the white and yellow A/V plugs in front. It worked just fine. It to the tv a little large, but I was okay with it.
    Later on today, the new AC charger I ordered came in the mail (Player came through UPS, charger through USPS). I looked at my old charger (Creative Zen Touch) and realized it would work with the plug-in part of the sync unit at the bottom. I tested it for a minute and it did. I still took it out and tried the new one. This is where, I think, something happened. I had to press the sides to get the thing in, and it was hard to come out. Everything still fit just right, and nothing seemed to be wrong. I used my old charger as I added more of my music library. Now it was on to videos. I had to convert the first two test vids (they were .wmv), but they played on my player fine. I put a bigger .wmv file onto the player to see if it had to convert it, and it did. It still played on the player. When I go to hook it to the TV with the A/V cord again, there was nothing but a black screen with the occasional diagonal scan line. The sound is still there.
    Besides quirks with the navigational system, the player is still great for music and video. Still, I needed no video capability, and one of the things that made the ZVM a buy for me was watching my vids on the big screen. I'd return this for a second try, but I want to know if this is a recurring issue with you guys and if there's something I can do to fix it before a return. Did I mess with a setting? Should I get new firmware? Did I do wrong using my old charger? If any of you have an answer, or need more info on my situation, please let me know.
    And BTW, does anyone know of some better software for organizing files on the ZVM? I used Winamp for my Zen Touch and the music on my ZVM, but videos are another ballpark. I can't transfer a video from one folder to another folder (assuming both folders are on the ZVM). Not to mention the music I transferred using Winamp isn't even showing up in Windows Media Player. I think I need a different program altogether.

    I have got a new Creative Zen Vision W and getting the same problem....when i attach to the tv then i am able to hear the audio content and the video does not show.Are we missing something ? or is it a problem with the player. Also the software provided with the Zen converts small .vob files to .wmv when ever the size is large it gives an error 'conversion?unsucessful'.Any body facing similar problems please help.

  • Time Machine and "might be a problem with your network"

    Hi! My Power Mac is from 2008, and I'm in the middle of replacing my hard drive. Here's a summary of what I've gone through, including various trouble shooting...
    OK, the hard drive dies (all of which I wrote about in an earlier thread and, I think, not very relevant for this thread). While waiting to buy my replacement, I created an external bootable drive, hooked up via FW800. I created a new User Account, and then I used the Migration Assistant to bring in all the user settings, files, etc, from my Time Machine. It took many hours and and during the stage when it was transferring files, it gave me the prompt: "There might be a problem with your network. The other Mac is not responding. Make sure that all of your network devices are connected and turned on. Also, make sure that your Ethernet cables are still connected properly to your computer and to the network, or if using AirPort, that the base station is in range and turned on." After clicking "Continue" got me nowhere, I clicked Cancel, and it was a very incomplete migration [no apps, no files]. I didn't sweat this since this external drive is a temporary solution anyway.
    Tonight I came home with the new internal drive, installed it, installed Leopard, and began the Setup Assistant. I got the same prompt as last night. NOTE: This time with Setup Assistant; last night was with Migration Assistant.
    I notice from reviewing the boards that this Time Machine glitch seemed to happen a few years ago, in Leopard, and maybe hasn't happened since. But I haven't read a thread with a solution. (Maybe I missed it?)
    A few things come to mind:
    1. Could there be an issue with the fact that the computer is only 10.5 and many of the files/apps may have been installed when I was running 10.5.8? I'm just tossing that out there. For instance, what if I set up an initial User account, then updated the software to 10.5 and THEN used Migration Assistant to bring in the older account?
    2. Soon, since I'm reinstalling Leopard, I'll get the prompt to use Setup Assistant, and this time I'll just select account settings and apps. I'll bring in the files manually, later. Since the progress window seems to get hung up during the file-transferring stage, maybe I'll have better luck if I skip that.
    If anyone has any suggestions, man, I'd be way grateful!
    Thanks!

    "try trashing the timemachine.plist in your original user's Library>Preferences."
    I didn't even get to that step. Here's what happened.
    I went back to my original Admin account (the one I restored via Setup Assistant, from my Time Machine backup), and ran Migration Assistant again. I selected Applications only and when it gave me a prompt about the account name already existing. So, I created a new account name (TEMP 1, I called it).
    All of my applications were restored.
    Next, I tried it with all the files and folders. It didn't give me the duplicate name prompt this time. It copied all my flles and folders over.
    Was it perfect? Well, a lot of the apps need some fresh registration and some upgrading, but I suppose that's to be expected. Or is it?
    While I feel like this problem is in my rear-view mirror, I'm still interested in your suggestons for a Time Machine altenative.
    Thanks again for your advice!
