Problems with iPaq3630-mSync-ActiveSync3.5-Win2k

Hello, please I have a problem and I think you can help me..
I have an iPaq 3630 with Pocket PC 2000 and Oracle 9i Lite Client. In my PC Windows 2000, ActiveSync 3.5 ,Oracle 9i Lite and Oracle 8i Server.
I have problems syncronizing.. mSync always reports the error -9025 (when I attempt to syncronize with Activesync) and if I run mSync from the handheld it says -9001 HTTP cannot find host error.
I am also unable to navigate in Internet from the handheld using the internet connection in my PC.
Please help me to get the msync and the internet connection working.
Thanks a lot.

Two questions
A. Why do u think we should add stuff to the CLASSPATH?
B. What is the need for the PATH variable?
It is important to understand what we are trying to do everytime we alter these two variables.
Question --Why should we alter PATH?
Answer :(Atleast what i think) Say u wrote a java program. U saved it. and now u are ready to compile. You type
javac Helloworld.java
how does the computer know where the batch file "javac" is stored. To direct the computer to the location of "javac" we add c:\jdk1.3\bin to the PATH variable. That means everytime u type "javac" to compile your java program the computer goes to the "bin" directory and locates the "javac" utility and is glad it found it..instead of saying" bad command or file name".
Question--why should i add JAR files to my CLASSPATH?
Answer:
Lets say u typed
javac Helloworld.java yet again. When the computer executes the "javac" utility it looks for the CLASSPATH variable in your autoexec.bat file or your environment settings. I am writing a sample CLASSPATH below
set CLASSPATH =.;C:\jdk1.3\bin;C:\jdk1.3\jre\lib\rt.jar;C:\jdk1.3\lib\tools.jar
Notice the "." in the beginning. The importance of the "." is to tell "javac" to look for "Helloworld.java" in your current directory ..the directory from which u called "javac" is your current directory. Now javac starts looking,it finds" Helloworld.java" in your current directory. It starts reading it.....it encounters an import....it goes back to the CLASSPATH..searches for the import file.....it finds it again in one of the JAR files u have added to your CLASSPATH and "javac" is happy ,having found all the classes it needed and compiles happily.
I hope that made sense.
Feed me a fish ,you feed me for a day
Teach me how to fish and You feed me for life.

  • Problems with WL60SP1 and IIS5 on Win2K

    I am trying to front WLS6.0 (SP1) with IIS 5.0 on Windows 2000 Server.
    The problem that I am having is that no requests (either by path or by extension)
    get forwarded to Weblogic. All I get is 404 not found errors from IIS.
    I will try to outline what I have tried so far and what I have configured:
    My iisproxy.ini settings are as follows:
    WebLogicHost=localhost
    WebLogicPort=7501
    ConnectTimeoutSecs=20
    ConnectRetrySecs=2
    WLForwardPath=/weblogic
    PathTrim=/weblogic
    I have followed the installation instructions (http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs60/adminguide/isapi.html)
    to the letter in so far as configuring the .jsp and .wlforward extensions for
    both the default web site and a virtual site.
    I have installed the iisforward.dll as an ISAPI filter.
    Now, when I examine "System Information|Software Environment|Loaded Modules" in
    Computer management, and I only find the iisforward.dll loaded. The iisproxy.dll
    doesnt seem to have loaded (and it is the one that makes it all work!).
    I have tried turning debug on in the iisforward.ini (Debug=ALL) but no log file
    is ever created.
    I have tried putting the DLL files and the ini in c:\weblogic (the default search
    location) - but no luck.
    I am not sure what else to try or where else to look. I have tried most all of
    the suggestions that I have found over this site but with no luck. It must be
    something obvious and silly...
    Cheers,
    Thanks in advance,
    Nick

    I don't believe I can solve your problem, but I'll warn you that calling native code from an EJB (which is what you are doing when you call into the serial api), is directly dis-allowed by the EJB spec.

  • DVD Playback problem with H/w accel on Ti4200

    Hello folks,
    I have a problem with DVD playback using WinDVD Platinum on my MSI 128Mb GF4 Ti4200 (MS-8700). When I play a DVD with hardware acceleration enabled I get a sort of ghosting or delayed flash photography effect similar to that which gives headlights trails. This doesn't occur with the Detonator 40.72 drivers
    or MSI 41.07 drivers but occurs with
    the NVidia 41.09s, 43.00s and now 43.45 drivers under WinXP SP1. The problem only occurs with hardware acceleration enabled and has happened with both DX8.1 and 9.0. I didn't have this problem with the 41.09s under Win2k SP3.
    Does anyone else have this problem or know of a solution.
    Thanks,
    Morpheus
    System Specs:
    Athlon XP 2000+
    512MB DDR Ram
    Asus A7V333-R
    Soundblaster Audigy Player
    Realtek 8139 based NIC
    Win XP SP1
    DirectX 9.0

    Sound is fine its just the picture that has the problem but I have narrowed it down further by downloading WinDVD Tweaker. If I disable DxVA but leave hardware decode and colour selected the problem isn't present. Therefore I suspect something has corrupted my DxVA   drivers however as I originally had 8.1 installed and then installed 9.0 in an attempt to fix this I don't think a reinstall of DX will solve the problem.
    Any ideas.

  • File association problems with Win2K server

    Hi,
    I have a client - 5 Macs in a Win2K network. They're designers and store/work on all their jobs on a Win2K volume. About 2 months ago, problems started happening - files lost their application association (mostly all were turned into Unix exec files), causing sever problems with the workflow. Quark can't open a placed image in it's native app for instance, because the association has been lost. The user has to visit each file and re-associate. As you can imagine, this is not an ideal situation to say the least.
    Furthermore, when re-associating the files, the option to "Always open with" is greyed out, so a one-time fix isn't possible.
    I suspected that it was something to do with the windoze volume. I more or les proved it by copying one of the files to a local machine and then re-associating: all works as it should when the files are local. Copying the files locally is not an option though.
    This really is at the limit of my windoze knowledge. Their sysadmin is also not sure what's happening, aside from the fact that there's no windoze app that's accessing the files and writing them back to the disk. The only thing that looks at the files is the daily backup and that's a read and not write operation. We're stumped, but it really needs sorting. I've suggested they move some of the files to another server and see if the same occurs, which may or may not prove the issue is with the server they're using now. Any guidance gratefully received.
    All Macs at 10.4.5 and recent updates, all have QXP 6.5, CS2.

    Probably nothing has changed with your server or your network. Typically, folks realize, "Hey! I can connect via SMB and that's my workaround for the 31 character file name limit!" Or possibly, your Mac folks are browsing the network for your server and selecting it through your Windows domain rather than a Mac zone. Tiger changed the appearance of Windows "WORKGROUPS" so that they now appear as upper/lower case instead of all caps. This use to be a good way to distinguish them from zones.
    To guarantee your users are connecting via AFP, which is what I would recommend for a Mac workgroup, have them specifically use "afp://servername" in the "Connect to Servers" dialog. I don't recommend Apple's SMB because Mac OS X splits each file into separate resource and data fork files before placing them on the server. When Windows folks see this, it's a mess. And I don't recommend continuing to use Microsoft's SFM because its version of the AFP protocol hasn't been updated in years. Either way, look to a third party software solution.
    Don't let the 65+ GB scare you. It's really not that bad if you're on a 100MB network but the server should recognize that all traffic is local and actually handle all the file moves itself without shuffling files across the network. A bit of a pain, but shouldn't take too long.
    Good luck! bill

  • Apache/2.2.4 (Win32) + Weblogic 8.1 Problem with Module

    Hey together,
    i'm pretty new to this whole weblogic thing.
    I wanted to install the apache plugin for weblogic. I am using weblogic 8.1 and apache 2.2.4 on win xp sp2.
    I followed the instructions given in the tutorial at bea.com.
    When i try to test the conf-file via httpd.exe -t i get
    httpd.exe: Syntax error on line 116 of C:/Programme/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2.2/conf/httpd.conf: Cannot load C:
    /Programme/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2.2/modules/mod_wl_20.so into server: Das angegebene Modul wurde nicht gefun
    den.
    But the mod_wl_20.so file is definitley in this directory as all the other modules.
    This is the important part of my httpd.conf:
    <IfModule mod_weblogic.c>
    <Location /weblogic>
    SetHandler weblogic-handler
    WebLogicHost localhost
    WebLogicPort 7101
    MatchExpression *
    </Location>
    </IfModule>
    I even downloaded the latest version of this plugin without sucess. It's all 32 bit, so there should be no problems with that.
    I read through several topics/threads dealing with same problems but without success.
    Could any1 help please?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    What do you have on line 116 ? I have it setup on Win2k and it works fine with the following statements. Only difference is that I have Apache 2.0.54 (not 2.2.x)
    LoadModule weblogic_module modules/mod_wl_20.so
    <Location /wlPortal >
    SetHandler weblogic-handler
    WebLogicHost localhost
    WebLogicPort 7001

  • Problems with Audigy Platinum and Firew

    Hi,
    I've been running my Soundblaster Audigy Platinum on my Win2k-System for some years and have just encountered some weird problems with the Firewire-Connector. When I connect an external DVD-Burner everything works fine. But when I connected an external harddisc for the first time recently, the system completely flipped and rebootet without any messages. When I connected the dri've via USB it wasn't recognized automatically (what it should have after the manual) but after installing the Drivers on the Disc. Afterwards also the Firewire-connect was possible, the dri've was recognized and appeared in the Explorer. So far so good.
    But now, everytime I try to copy files larger than some Megabyte the dri've stops copying and I get an error message. Then the dri've disappears in the explorer. When I connect the dri've to my Laptop (XP Pro System) everything works fine. I already tried to google the problem and found some users with the same problem, unfortunately no answers to their posts. Is there someone who can help me (us)?
    By the way, I already tried to re-install the drivers for the audigy...

    hi kakarocht, tks for help me.
    My mobo is new, i buy all the config recently.
    i'm searching in the forum, and found this topic https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=85631.0
    my HD SATA is the same of this, i will try to remove it, and then tell here for you.

  • CVI2013 problem with excluded lines

    I found a problem with CVI 2013 when you have some excluded lines in a header file which has some errors.
    This problem can be seen in the attached example, following these steps:
    exclude the line #35 (CTRL+E shortcut)
    build the project; this gives error due to line #28 in dummy.h
    in the Build output window double click on the line explaining the error
    CVI opens a new tab with a copy of dummy.h header (from UnsavedChanges directory) where the excluded lines have been commented (//....)
    when this happens it's not clear that this is NOT the real header file, so you modify it (fixing the error), but when you rebuild the project you see the same error described at step #2
    This behavior has no sense.

    This bug has been partially solved with f1 patch (see here).
    But anyway the behavior is not correct yet; another bug report ID has been already filled in.
    I know that if I comment and/or "#if 0" the lines the project can be compiled, but my usage of CTRL+E is to temporary disable lines without saving the modifications in the source files.

  • JDeveloper Problem with GUI

    Hi All,
    I'm running JDev 3.1 on Win2000, and I'm having a bit of a problem with redraws of the GUI.
    When I click anywhere on the JDev GUI and trigger and action that involves a GUI redraw the little piece of the GUI under the mouse pointer graphic is not redrawn. It does not effect the functionality but it is annoying and will make the other developers I work with less keen about using it.
    Does anyone else have this problem? Is it a JDev or Win2k problem?
    Cheers

    Probably an issue with the JRE used by JDev. on Win 2k. Have you tried 3.2x? I haven't seen that type of issue with it on Win 2k.

  • WLS 7.0 sp2 - Servlet Problems with SOAP messages

              I'm using Weblogic 7.0 SP2 and trying to create a Servlet to receive SOAP wrapped
              XML messages. I'm getting the following error. Is this a problem with WLS7.0sp2's

              - perform some processing
              - return a SOAP response with an embedded XML message

    Michael,
    I got the same error on WLS8.1/Win2K professional and apache FOP (old version).
    After digging into the WLS code and FOP(old version). i found the conflict happens
    on
    the "org.xml.sax.parser" system property. In WLS code, they hard coded like the
    following when startup weblogic server:
    System.setProperty("org.xml.sax.parser", "weblogic.xml.jaxp.RegistryParser");
    But the FOP code try to use the "org.xml.sax.parser" system property to find the
    sax parser then conlict happens.
    Here is the response from BEA support :
    "I consulted with our developers regarding the question of whether we can change
    the hard-coded value for the java system property: org.xml.sax.parser by using
    a configuration parameter and I found that unfortunately there is no specific
    setting to change the value. As you had mentioned in your note the org.xml.sax.parser
    system property can be changed programmatically in your application code."
    I solve my problem by using newer apache FOP (it never use the system property:org.xml.sax.parser
    any more) and XML Registy for WLS8.1.
    Good luck.

    When we migrated from WLS 6.1 to WLS 7.0 SP2 when encountered a problem
    with XML
    parsing that did not previously exist.
    We get the error "weblogic.xml.jaxp.RegistryParser is not a SAX driver".
    What does this mean? And, what should we do about it.

    Hi.
    WebLogic Express is WebLogic Server with a different license that limits
    some of
    the WebLogic Server features, such as EJB. Downloading WLS effectively
    downloads
    WebLogic Express.

  • Problem with XSQLRequest.process

    Problem with XSQLRequest.process:
    I'm trying to run XSQL files using XSQLRequest.process. I'm working on the chapter 3 examples in Muench's book and got FAQXML.xsql running okay but have had problems with: FAQhtml.xsql BTW I am calling them from a different directory and am using 9iAS under win2K SP3.:
    I've fixed errors such as:
    End tag does not match start tag 'img'.
    by adding </img>
    and:
    End tag does not match start tag 'META'.
    by removing the <head> section from the xsl.
    But now i've got:
    XML parse error at line 2, char 1
    Expected 'EOF'.
    and don't have a clue.
    Some questions I have are:
    --Why don't I get these errors when I run the same files from Internet Explorer?
    --Where is the intermediate XML file?
    --How will I get HTML output?
    I'd appreciate any help you could suggest.
    Peter.
    Here is the .xsql and some of the .xsl:

    Well, in answer to your import question, yes. Xerces can import Xerces documents properly. Thus if we use Xerces importNode on a document parsed/created using Xerces' DOM implementation, the attribute values stay.
    We are using Xerces because it is the foundation of our infrastructure layer (which is partly because it's used in Catalina).
    Question. Is it possible that XSQLParserHelper which, as you say, uses an instance of oracle.xml.parser.v2.DOMParser to parse the document, is having trouble with different versions of DOM? I ask because we've noticed that to use Catalina and have its class loader to function successfully, we had strip all the DOM classes from xmlparserv2.jar
    importNode snippit ...
    public void service(CioServletRequest req, CioServletResponse resp) throws ServletException {
    DomResponse respm = resp.createDomResponse();
    Document dbdoc = respm.getDocument();
    XSQLRequest req = new XSQLRequest( pageUrl );
    ByteArrayOutputStream ostream = new ByteArrayOutputStream();
    req.process(params, ostream, new PrintWriter(System.err));
    String s = new String(ostream.toByteArray());
    Document retDoc = respm.parseDocument(s);
    dbdoc.appendChild(dbdoc.importNode(retDoc.getDocumentElement(), true));
    Hope this helps.

  • Problem with creating Kestore  in DOS Environment

    Hi
    I am new to java security ,trying to generate keys by using ketool command but getting problem.
    I am executing following keytool command from DOS prompt

    when I execute the above command it displaying keytool Help. I suspect the problem with " -keystore myKeystore " parameter , if I remove that parameter the command gets executing.
    Without giving -keystore parameter can create keys , in that case where should I look for the generated keys ,please help me out.
    2) how can i create Certification request by using above generated keys.

    "SHA1withRSA" -keystore myKeystore -storepass abcdef
    -alias xyz -keypass wxyzabcOn Win2K under 1.4.2, that exact line works just fine for keytool - it goes right to asking me for the identifying information. What's your environment look like?

    I know CUSTOMERS table does not exist if I was suppose to create it. I
    went back to lab02 but it does not tell you to run any scripts that will
    create the database, only gives you the schemas for the various web
    services. Could there be a problem with my student CD where the
    creditDB in the WLSD33 is hosed?
    Cheers,
    Chris

    Hi Chris,
    All the exception output directly points to the fact that the databases do not
    have the correct tables. I suggest you try the following:
    1) It might not be a bad idea to delete the contents of the 4 database directories
    in the WLSD33 domain directory and then run the script builddatabases again. You
    can then check to make sure that the databases are rebuilt in the correct place.
    You may find that the databases are regenerated in the labdomain folder with the
    student directory. If this is the case then go ahead and copy over the contents
    of the four database directories in the labdomain\WLSD33 folder over to the config\WLSD33
    database directories. Then restart your server, and try again.
    2) You may also want to be sure that the read only property for the WLSD33 domain
    directory, its contents and all its sub folders has been removed. In Win2K, right
    click the WLSD33 domain, select properties, remove the read-only check mark and
    be sure to answer that you want the changes to propogate through the heirarchy.
    I hope this helps. Post another message if you run into problems.

    Hi Chris,
    The problem you describe is related to the fact that the databases
    for the exercise
    set have not yet been completely created or populated (as evidencedby the error
    report in the server window). There are some instructions on howto do this on
    page 13 of the lab guide but here is basically what you need to do:
    1) Open a prompt by double clicking the promptBEA.cmd file in the%STUDENT% directory.
    2) At the prompt run the command BuildDatabases.cmd.
    3) This should overwrite and change the folders CreditDB, PhoneDB,ElectricDB
    and SkyHiDB in the WLSD33 domain directory (check the time stampsat C:\bea\wlserver6.1\config\WLSD33).
    4) Go ahead and kill this server instance and start a new one withthe startserver
    command.
    5) Retry the client.
    If you did not use the default installation instructions exactlyfrom the lab
    guide you might want to edit the setenvBEA.cmd file in the %STUDENT%/bindirectory
    to make sure that all the environment variables point to the appropriatelocations.
    Hopefully, this will fix you problem but if not feel free to postanother message
    here.

  • Problem with starting JHeadstart Enable Project Wizard

    Hi,
    Ive got small problems with JHeadstart (10.1.3.0.95) at Win2k, JDev (10.1.3.1.0.3984). After adding all DB related stuff to new application project Im trying to use function "JHeadstart Enable Project Wizard" from right-click context menu available under "ViewController". And here comes all my headache - after first warning screen Im going to the next one when the text box is empty and clicking on Finish button doesnt work. I can only click Cancel.
    It would be cool to get fast any good advice as Im trying to finish my term project on Monday.

    Piotrek,
    I tried to reproduce your issue without success.
    I would be very grateful if you can send us a sample project with the DB tables where the JHeadstart Enable Project Wizard does not work.
    You can send the testcase to [email protected], and make sure you rename extension .zip to .zipped, otherwise the mail is refused by our mail server
    Thanks!
