Problems with message delay property

Hello,
I am enqueueing messages in an oracle queue and i am specifying a message property delay.
So, when the message is enqueued it stays in the 'WAIT' state. However,
expired the delay the message does not come to the READY state (as I thought it was supposed).
For instance one message was enqueued on 10-OCT-08 01.40.42.687254000 PM,
the delay timestamp from the queue table appears as 10-OCT-08 01.40.52.687254000 PM,
but after the 10 seconds the message remains in the 'WAIT' state and it is not possible to dequeue the message.
Any suggestions about the reason why the message state does not change would be kindly appreciatted.
Thanks

Hello,
Changing the message state from WAITING to READY is the job of the qmon slave processes so if this is not happening it means they are either not running or they are expereiencing some kind of problem.
What version of Oracle are you using? Is this a RAC environment?
What does
connect / as sysdba
show parameter aq_tm_processes
give you?
Have you checked in the database alert.log for any error messages relating to the QMON processes.
Thanks
Peter

• Problem with message choice

Hi, all, I have a problem with message choice because when I get the value it returns the value of index row.
For example I have this message choice:
<messageChoice model="${bindings.Dept}" readOnly="false" required="no" name="dpt">
<contents childData="${bindings.Dept.displayData}">
<option model="${uix.current}"/>
</contents>
</messageChoice>
If I select the first data of message choice it returns 0, if I select the second data it returns 1 and so on. But I want to return the value of field dept and in message choice I show the dept_name field.
Can anyone tell me how do this? It's urgent because I haven't much time to do this work.
Thanks, Matteo.

Matteo,
Maybe this works for you as well:
<messageChoice model="${bindings.DeptLOV}" name="dpt">
<contents childData="${bindings.DeptList.rangeSet}">
<option value="${uix.current.dept}" text="${uix.current.dept_name}"/>
</contents>
</messageChoice>
where DeptLOV is a LOV List type binding, and DeptList is a Range type binding that is based upon the Dept iterator. If one of these three does not exist in your project yet, you should create them manually via the Structure palette.

It's strange that if I use Message Mapping Test it works fine. But in pipeline not.
Do you have any idea where could be the problem?
Thank you in advance!

Hi,
To know the correct error Take the Inbound Payload from MONI and Test it in Mapping Test TAB. then u will come to know the exact error.
Procedure to take the Payload
goto MONI-Double click on MessageInbound Message ( CENTRAL ) --Payloads ---Double click on MainDocument ( application/xml ) -Just Right Click on the second window-View Source
then now Copy this and paste it in Mapping Test and Execute.

• Problem with message count

hello ,
I have problem with message count, in my inbox there are more than 0 messages but i got result of
Folder inbox = store.getFolder("Inbox")
int c =inbox.getMessageCount()
of c is 0
i.e i got c as zero rather than 5.

I am seeing the same thing and I agree with MathiasF's observation.  My count seems to increase when I do a search for mail on the server.  This has happened previously (iOS 5.x) but ending the Mail app always fixed it.  The only way I can correct the count now is if I turn off sync for Mail on the Exchange account and re-enable.  This clears my mail and causes my phone to go out and redownload.  Rebooting and resetting the iPhone has not helped.
I'm on Sprint - 32GB White iPhone 4S running iOS 6.0 (10A403)

• Strange Problems with Messages

I've been experiencing some strange problems with Messages.
1) Sometimes my messages are displayed on screen. I type into the input box and hit enters. Then message disappears and does not show above in the chat box. I later find out that the message was delivered yet it doesn't show up in my chat.
2) Sometimes I see duplicate Chat windows on the left rail for the same contact, this is usually in conjuction with error #1.
3) Sometimes I can unable to dlete chat windows. I click the x and it does nothing. I right click and choose Close Chat and it does nothing
4) When searching the left rail for open chats, the app gets really confused and show strange results, when deleting the search the chat window gets really odd order, nothing to do with sort or recent chats

Nobody else is experiencing these problems?

I assume you mean "unlocked and restored." My apologies if I msunderstand, but if you unlocked it yourself, then you must have hacked it. If it was originally locked at the time of purchase, only that carrier can unlock it.

• A Problem With Recording: Delay Between Tra

I recently purchased an Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro to replace my ailing Audigy 2 Platinum from a few years back. I've been trying to do some home recording (namely with Sony's Acid Pro 5.0) and I've been noticing some delay between tracks when I record.
For example, I will record one track, and then record a second track, playing along to exactally what I hear. When the second track mixes down, there is an offset between the two tracks on the order of two or three tenths of a second. This offset produces a noticible doubling effect, and requires me to go in and move the audio track around so that it plays properly.
I've tried other programs (Audacity and n-Tracks Studio) so I figure it's not something wrong with the program. My computer is new, it's running an Athlon 64 3400+, with over a gig of ram, so I can't imagine it's a problem with my computer.
Anybody have any thoughts or experience with problems like this?

Latency issue.
If you can select ASIO drivers (audio settings) on your software then use it and set latency on ASIO panel to ~ 5 ms.

• Problem with Path Managed property in alternate zones - also we have identified problem with Product catalog in alt zones

Hi All,
I'll start "one step back". Note we have resolved this issue but it is worth mentioning:
Yesterday we set up the product catalog. We were having a lot of inexplicable problems with it initially. After much troubleshooting, we found that it was because we were browsing the SharePoint site via the "Internet Zone" rather than the "Default
Zone" when we "Connected" our site to the product catalog. Issues experienced:
1) "Catalog Item URL Format" displayed error "Properties <Managed Property> specified by the shared catalog could not be found in the search schema" when attempting to connect to the catalog, despite that managed property being
configured correctly. The catalog would connect despite the error, and the navigation worked fine.
2) The search Result Source for the catalog would not return any results. Configuring the query and selecting "Advanced Mode" would show SPSiteURL:http://externalURL.domain.com. Changing SPSiteURL manually to
http://InternalURL resulted in results being returned as expected.
After much troubleshooting, we found that if were browsing SharePoint using the default zone (http://InternalURL) when we connected the Product Catalog, the result source then worked properly (internally and externally).
Ok, so now onto our current problem:
The Product Catalog appeared to be working properly (internally and externally) after figuring out that we needed to connect it from the Default Zone. However, we have found a remaining glitch, which doesn't appear to be Product-Catalog-specific. Consider
the following scenario:
1) We click a category in our Product Catalog, such as Electronics
2) A list of our electronic devices are presented via the "Category" display page
3) If we click on a specific item, a different URL is returned internally vs externally. We only get the friendly managed navigation URL when browsing via the Default zone. And of course totally different pages load based on which URL you get.
Internal (when browsing via Default zone):
http://InternalURL/catalog/PRODUCT-CATEGORY/PRODUCT-NAME
External (when browsing via Internet zone):
http://ExternalURL.domain.com/catalog/Lists/Products/DispForm.aspx?ID=1
We have reviewed the display template, and the "Path" managed property is simply being used to render the link. Furthermore, we have configured the Content Search web part's "Property Mappings" to show the "Path" MP, and it
displays the same (wrong) result externally.
This tells us that the Path MP is not correctly rendering "Friendly URLs" when using managed navigation.
Any help/ideas?
Our environment:
SharePoint Version: 15.0.4667.1000
Default Zone: http://InternalURL
Internet Zone: http://ExternalURL.domain.com
We are NOT using host named site collections
We ARE crawling the Default zone URL in our content source
Thanks,
Tommy

Hi,
We have now also observed the same issue with a Managed Property of type “Hyperlink/Picture”. The picture returns the wrong URL externally.
This post describes the same issue, however the poster found that setting UseAAMMapping=True doesn’t work in 2013:
http://sharepoint.stackexchange.com/questions/104806/set-the-useaammapping-property-of-a-managedproperty-object-map-an-url-of-a-h
We checked, and our Picture MP had UseAAMMapping=False. We set it to True, did a full crawl, and see no change in behavior. Path already had UseAAMMapping=True.

• Problem with the Value property node (MacOS)

As far as I have tested it, Value Property nodes (and Value (signaling)) don't work in MacOS : The value property appears as a boolean, the value(signaling) as a cluster (width, height).
Even with boolean controls, the node is not working.
No such problem in LV 8.6.
Am-I missing something ? Is that some "intended use"  ? Or simply a bug ?

Go to Solution.

That sounds like some sort of indexing problem with the property nodes like somesort of corrupted installation.  What if you just delete the property node and recreate it?
I dropped a numeric control and looked at the shortcut menu for the list of property nodes.  Right below Value and Value (signalling) are Visible (which would be a boolean) and Xcontrol, which when you step down through the submenus, the first choice is Container bounds, a cluster of Width and Height.  So these 2 datatypes that are 2 lower on the list match the ones you are getting.
What happens if you pick another property node a few elements up or down on the shortcut menu?  Does is happen for some other properties, and if so, are thereany properties that are okay?
Here is what my property nodes look like for a numeric and I draggged the box up and down to show the natural order of the property nodes.  Note that I have scripting installed, so there are a few more property nodes (and the blue box at the top) that you might not have.
PS.  Check you signature.  The Kudos button is now moved to the left since the forum upgrade.

• CSS problem with the clear property

This is my actual page
http://www.martcol.co.uk/abba/
and I want to swap the paragraphs around. This is what I come up
with
http://www.martcol.co.uk/abba/test/test01.php
I reckon I am getting muddle with the whole clearing the
float thing.
Many thanks
Martin
Actually, I think it only breaks up in Firefox - bear in mind
I only tested in IE6 and FF

http://martcol.co.uk/abba/pages/patch.php
Oh dear, another problem with my floated elements and the
clear property....
Martin
I think I have this now. Not sure why but picking away at it
has it fixed.

• Problems with messaging

iv got two issues with my iphone messages
1. sometimes one particular number will not receive messages for around 2 days then all of a sudden will get a flood of texts off me from testing it.. i can still receive the messages from them though
2. sometimes messages from that number become muddled up.. i might send a text three days ago and then send one on the current day and they will get half of the text three days ago and half of the one i just sent so it makes no sense.. Same if i receive one from them it will be half of one they sent a few days ago and half the one they sent on the day.. can be anything up to three different messages in one depending on how long the text is..
Any ideas how i can solve these issues?
iv spoke to network provider for the first issue and there looking into it.. my friend has tried speaking to theirs and they just keep blaming mine and saying there's nothing more they can do apart from get me to get in touch with my service provider.. Very annoying
any help would be good cheers

I have similar issues, I am using Iphone 4 with vodafone (Australia) as provider.
Sometimes when I try to access my email or messages, the phone will have a pop up "Cannot find cellular" (or something like that). However the signal bar is clearly showing full bars of signals. When this happens, I can't receive my email/messages, but send are usually ok.
When I am lucky, the phone will fix itself and I will get all the emails/messages in the next 30mins or so. But Majority of the time I have to restart my phone and then my message/email inbox will be flooded with email/txt.
Is this a problem with the iphone? or my provider? Because vodafone is known to have issues...

• Problems with DropShadows EffectColor Property in CS5 with VB6

Hello all,
I am having a hard time trying to deal with the EffectColor property of DropShadowsSettings object.
The docs say it should be a Swatch or array.
I have tried setting it with (IDrect is a proper Rectangle object, Doc the current document):
1) A Color object: IDRect.FillTransparencySettings.DropShadowSettings.EffectColor = Doc.Colors(1)
An error returned saying that swatch was expected but color was received
2) A Swatch object: IDRect.FillTransparencySettings.DropShadowSettings.EffectColor = Doc.Swatches(1)
An error returned saying that swatch was expected but swatch was received (what gives !?!?!?!!)
3) A string: IDRect.FillTransparencySettings.DropShadowSettings.EffectColor = "None"
An error returned saying that swatch was expected but "None" was received
Especially seeing case 2) I suspect a problem in the Visual Basic type library, can you give some help or suggestion? I'm almost dead in the water...
InDesign 7.0.3 (CS5) in Windows XP SP3, Visual Basic 6.0 SP6.
Thank you very much in advance,
        Mario

Hello,
thank you for your reply.
Actually, my problem is a bit wider than simply selecting a proper existing swatch.
Indeed, I create new colors or swatches and try to assign them with the very same outcome.
Furthermore, assigning the swatches(1) item in other situations is perfectly fine, so I guess there must be a strong problem in assigning the EffectColor property. I'd really like to take a look at a code portion that can do this without VB6 giving an error.
Thanks again,
        Mario
